  1. I saw the poor little red-haired guy, workin the cash at Crappy Tire. His hair was like a girl, and he was small. But when he spoke, his voice was that of a man. I couldn't help but feel a little pity for the turmoil the person must go through in their life, to figure out who they are and how they might fit in this crazy f*ed up world you people created. It doesn't help that people are so cold, and in a confused state or depressed some people will believe there is a magic bullet or potion that will set everything right, if only they can get it.

  4. I mean, many companies track us via loyalty cards, in house credit cards and so on so am not surprised. Scanning loyalty cards after all purchases, allows for unprecedented access on buying habits and for target marketing. Its also the unintended consequence from getting a gift card or the like. Even obtaining an app from say McDonald's and okaying their use of your location and microphone literally provides them with lawfully obtained access of your use of your microphone during calls and your privacy unless you select for it to occur only while the app is being used. Even then, if it's running in the background, that is legal gray area. The moment you enter a store, it's already known you will very likely be recorded. Not sure what laws could do to stop this. But if you have a smart TV and found yourself getting commercials on coffee on your YouTube after you talking about that specific brand, that's the level of invasiveness that we have gotten to now. Again you would be hard pressed to any legal action as you literally okay the use of microphones, location and the like when downloading an app.

  5. The National Council of Muslims and the 300 mosques and other Muslim organizations they represent say no MP will be welcome in their mosques or on their sites without them promising to restore funding to UNRWA funding, to call for an immediate ceasefire in the only place where Muslims are being killed by Jews (but not the ones where they're being killed by Muslims) and must condemn Israel's 'war crimes', (but not those committed by any of the other nations in the middle east). What they are demonstrating is they're not Canadians. Whatever is on their passports. They're not Canadians in spirit. They're still foreigners with foreign cultures and values. Foremost among them is hatred for Jews and Israel. And the more of these people we bring to Canada the more antisemitism there will be. Muslim groups say MPs won’t be welcome in mosques until they call for Gaza ceasefire | Radio-Canada.ca

  6. Lately, it seems, that check washing has become a huge problem. If you don't know what check washing is, it is when people use chemicals to remove the ink from checks and then write in themselves as the payee. They have criminal groups infiltrating post offices and stealing anything that looks like a bill payment and even people wandering around neighborhoods looking for mailboxes with their flags up or even stealing directly from bank deposit boxes. In my line of work we recently have seen a rash of it with companies sending us cancelled copies of checks with names other than ours on them. I just wanted to make this post as a warning to everyone to be careful and follow the suggestions in this article. https://www.investigatetv.com/2024/01/25/check-washing-scams-still-rise/ My personal suggestion to you all is stop sending checks in by mail and just use online bill pay either through your bank or your vendors. I know this isn't the normal I hate your side type post and it probably is questionable as being in the Federal Politics section but it is a real issue.

  18. A right wing opinion piece peddling more of your garbage. People like you have no grasp of the facts and you rely on partisan opinion pieces for information to tell you only what you want to hear What I said was 100% accurate. A recount in Florida was MANDATORY because the vote was so close. Florida governor Jeb Bush only wanted to recount the districts where he thought Republicans would win. Gore wanted a different set of districts recounted . So they went to court because the law was unclear on how the recount would happen. The court’s ruled the governor can recount any way he wishes. Gore conceded even though he disagreed he respected the rule of law. LIKE A MAN. And unlike Trump A later audit found that if all the districts had been recounted Gore would have won. (Note: Gore had not asked for all districts to be recounted).

  23. No, that was not the question. The question was whether he thought that porn sites should be required to verify the age of users, to which he said yes. My answer to that question would have probably been something along the lines of, "I think it's up to parents to know what their children are doing online and to make sure they learn about healthy sexuality." That's his thing as well, don't you worry, but you're right. This isn't a big deal, and I don't think anyone is making much of anything about it beyond it being a goofy look worth a couple chuckles. The real dopes are the ones getting their knickers twisted and making it out to be a pro vs con child pornography debate...one of these clowns is here at least.

  24. There is when you just cannot resist projecting your emotional frailty on others (which is rarely past the first page of a thread 🤣). Every time you default back to your "aww muffin" routine and start insisting to people that you've caused emotional damage, or that they're broken, upset etc, a casual glance at your post count proves where that's coming from: An angry an emotionally immature little man, seething alone at his computer for 16 hours a day. 😑

Before you click the options dropdown arrow to see them, guess: how many facts there are, how many links, how many lies, and how many baseless insults. Obviously there are: zero facts zero links 7 lies 3 baseless insults. Our survey says! ... drumroll please... thanks... There were attempts at facts, most of them were wrong (obviously Engeron won't be the one in charge of overturning his own case lol) but I'll actually give him 1 fact, despite there being no cite for it 0 cites, checkmark 6 lies, I was off by 1 3 baseless insults, checkmark Not bad. I got the number of cites and baseless insults correct, but off was off by 1 lie and 1 (non-cited) fact.

  31. It's entirely possible (depending on one's situation or condition) that they may be materially better off with one party in power over another. However, what's under discussion is our rights and freedoms which isn't quite the same thing. The Supreme Court of Canada has stated..."The very lifeblood of democracy is the free exchange of ideas and opinions. Government overreach, censorship, and suppression are dangerous to democracy and human rights" (CCLA). The U.S. Supreme Court has stated..."Freedom of expression is the matrix, the indispensable condition of nearly every other form of freedom. Without it, other fundamental rights like the right to vote would wither and die" (ALCU). Freedom of expression (or free speech) is the canary in the coal mine. When free speech comes under attack, all rights come under attack because free speech is the cornerstone of everything. What I see happening today with government policy, at the university level, at school board meetings, the justice system, it doesn't exactly remind me of right wing extremism. It's the exact opposite in most cases.

  32. His defence is that he didn't defraud the bank. The bank gave a loan on terms that they were satisfied with and he paid it back in full, on time. He didn't sell them those properties, they just gave him a loan based on the value that they determined themselves. Latitia James should be trying to find out why Cuomo forced care homes to take covid patients back instead of putting them into the Javits Center or the USS Comfort while they were sitting right there, nearly empty. Right now his only defence is "bureaucracy", but it should be easier to force pandemic victims to go to a hospital that's specifically outfitted to treat pandemic victims than a care home that's not designed to take care of any sick people at all, right? Cuomo's biological warfare against seniors went on for 10 months - 300 days - but the Comfort and the Javits Center were open for business 5 and 13 days later. What's the legal defence for sending people with covid into a care home instead of a hospital? Why have you never cared? Why has no leftist here ever cared? We're talking about thousands of dead people, not the details of a loan request for a loan that was repaid in full. How many people did that loan request kill?

The only one responsible for the Ukraine war dead is the brutal dictator who started the war and refuses to end it by returning his invading troops home, Vladimir Putin. 39. Well then it's probably not a good idea to allow more Palestinians into Israel as to not disrupt the delicate peace that is currently in place. What are your expectations based on? I would expect that any Jews living in a Palestinian state would be either killed or forced to leave very quickly. This opinion is based on: a) There are almost no Jewish minorities (and very few other minorities) in 22 Arab states b) Jews were ethnically cleansed from many Arab states c) The Hamas charter calls for the ethnic cleansing of all Jews from the river to the sea d) The actions of the Palestinian leadership and their supporters that are inline with their Charter and their stated aims

  41. Hezbollah. Hamas. What is it with Iran? And they’ve been jonesing for nukes like nothing else, and that is definitely a problem. Not just because of Iran’s hate for Israel, but also because of the two aforementioned H’s. The most recent example is the billions Biden gave Iran, and then Hamas attacked, and as terrorists would. Once Iran has nukes in its stockpile, they will end up in Hamas’s hands, just like all of the other weaponry that does. Because of those in the inner circle of Iran’s leadership that will see to it that a stray nuke will go missing somehow, or a facility be found unsecured. Then should a nuke explode in Israel, Iran could claim innocence, or some other nonsense. Those bent on mass murder can be so creative, can’t they? This must never happen. And so it won’t. Israel is going to bomb Iran, taking out its nuclear capacity, just as they’ve done in times past. It’s inevitable, it’s a done deal. Count on it.

  42. My take on history: The Jews are the closest thing to an "indigenous peoples" to this land. It is very ironic that they are labeled as "colonizers". 1947: the UN Plan was to create 2 states, the Arabs rejected the plan, started a war and lost. When you lose a war, you lose land and people need to move. This is not fair, but the sad truth for millions of the least fortunate people. ~700,000 Palestinians became refugees, around the same time ~900,000 Jews were forced to move out of other Arab countries. During this time there were literally 10's of millions of refugees around the world (eg: Germany, India, Pakistan...) Between 1949 and 1967, the West Bank was controlled by Jordan and Gaza by Egypt. Why was there no Palestinian state declared sometime in these 18 years? There were no "occupied territories". The PLO was founded in 1964, which part of Palestine did they want to "liberate"? More wars in 1967 and 1973. Again the Arabs tried to drive the Jews into the sea and lost. Peace was offered in the 1993 Oslo accords, rejected by Palestinian leadership. As well as in 2000 at Camp David. Other offers for peace have been refused by Palestinians. In 2005 all settlers were were withdrawn from Gaza, Hamas was elected, there was a war between Hamas and the PLO. Hamas's constitution states that they want to destroy Israel and kill or drive all Jews out. Their actions are in-line with this. This history, like all history is filled with evil people and acts. There is no possible way to completely reconcile the injustices of the past. We could compare Arab atrocities against Jews, and vice versa, but what's the point... *** There are now 14 million people on this land (Israel, West Bank and Gaza) 7 million Jews, 7 million Palestinians. Perhaps with a few exceptions, all have the right to live where they are now. All people should live in peace and security. This is what is stated in the Israeli constitution. 10/7: As I learned about the horrific atrocities and saw Palestinians celebrating, I told myself, "well at least now the western world will realize how evil Hamas is and will support Israel in eliminating them." I was so wrong and I still can't figure it out: Israel, warts and all, are defending their people (note: this includes 2-million non-Jewish Israelis): -As I mentioned, their constitution is one of peace -As a country, they have the power to kill/displace all Palestinians, yet they restrain -Practically every young Israeli goes through military service and walks around with a machine gun, yet they restrain -Build bomb shelters and the Iron Dome to defend their civilians -In Israel, there are 2 million Arab-Israelis with full citizenship and rights living in peace and security -Israel is among the best countries in the world for women's rights -Ditto for other minority rights -Ditto for free speech, religion and other civil rights Hamas, in contrast: -Openly calls for the destruction of Israel in their constitution -Rapes women and celebrates this and violence -Kidnaps babies and seniors -Promises to repeat the attacks of 10/7 -Rewards people and their families for killing Jews -Fires rockets into Israel -Uses civilians as human shields -Kills homosexuals -Women's rights? -Minority rights? -Free speech and democracy? I'm sure glad that it's Israel with the dominant military, not the other way around. For peace its' simple: Hamas must be defeated and the hostages returned. The support of Hamas is prolonging the suffering of innocent Palestinians.

  43. I am neutral on this Israel-Hamas conflict, however I just want to comment on the above. I am absolutely SICK of government heads (this happens throughout the West, not just Canada) handing out their people's hard-won wealth to earn for themselves a reputation as a generous philanthropist. No, that is not your money, you did not earn that money, you don't have the right to just give it away to another country. It should be a criminal offence to mis-spend the taxpayers' money like that. Leaders who do that sicken me.

  44. "The woman is always right." My wife: "what would you like for supper?" What are my options? "Hot pot, or chicken adobo" I'll have the adobo, please. "But I already prepared the broth for the hot pot" Okay, no problem I will have that. *inside my brain feeling like it's breaking as I say this* This is the logical thinking that is "always right". Yeah, okay. We should be taught the truth. Keeping the wife happy, will mean a happy relationship. Has nothing to do with her being right. My wife is always right, because have you ever tried winning an argument with a woman? Exactly. We only live so long.

  46. The fraud case has nothing to do with Covid. You know you’ve lost the argument so you’re grasping at straws. The law states that you cannot commit fraud. Under New York State law, Trump and his organization committed fraud for many years. Trump did fail to repay loans to Deusche Bank; it’s been well documented. It’s entirely possible that the bank did not want to present itself as being hostile to a powerful political figure, or they didn’t want to present themselves as being easily fooled. But the law is the law, and it’s been applied many times (this is not the first time). I’ve had to make financial disclosures before and I knew perfectly well that there were legal consequences for making false statements. Not “arguably false” or “wiggle-room false”, but in Trump’s case, “Demonstrably false several times over.” One obvious example is repeatedly stating that his Trump Tower penthouse was 30,000 square feet when it was 10,000. There’s nothing vague about that, it’s a 300% overstatement and it’s clearly fraudulent.

  47. Just in case you MAGA's are thinking the rest of the world has forgotten Trumps threats of violence if he doesn't win the next election....WE HAVEN'T. Trump's next big case is looming, and Trump hasn't a leg to stand on, but he's at rally after rally calling for violence and bloodshed if he doesn't get release from all commitment s to pay anything for his threats and those he incited which were acted on by others. And that's the argument for today....not that he's innocent, because he certainly is GUILTY as charged, Guilty of RAPE, Guilty of Violence and the Creation of Violence by others, GUILTY of RACISM, Guilty of Financial FRAUD, Guilty of Real Estate FRAUD, Guilty of Money Laundering, Guilty of Insurance FRAUD, and GUILTY of Banking FRAUD, and GUILTY of Election FRAUD , and , when Jack Smith and his case is through with him ...GUILTY of Attempted Overthrow of the U. S. Government, and, Collusion with Enemy Agents to Overthrow the United States of America among a lot more crimes.
