  2. What a load of crap . You deliberately mis stated his argument, and when you started to lose anyway you somehow blamed me for it. that's your version of "honest debate'? you're a dishonest person and always have been and rely on cheap tricks the moment you start to lose a discussion. Just another example. Pathetic

  3. Has it not occurred to you that the smaller size of the public service after 2010 and prior to Trudeau's being elected was in large part due to the computerization of a number of tasks, thus requiring fewer employees? The explosion in the ranks of the public service under Trudeau has also been accompanied by a large increase in outsourcing jobs to contracted companies, consultants and employees

  4. A mor0n like myata has never heard of the Monroe Doctrine, he has no idea how the US would respond to Russia and Co. stting up camp in the Americas. He hasn't even heard of the Cuban missile crisis. Debating something like this with him is like racing up the stairs with Biden: both are easy to beat, but both will claim victory just because they don't know what's actually going on.

  6. C'mon. Do you need it explained to you that 'fighting' is a common term that is almost never used as an actual call for violence? You've never heard of people fighting for their rights? Or fighting city hall. Or politicians "fighting' on your behaf? If i were you i'd be outrageously embarrassed i even posted that

  8. Amusingly you'd think that's true ... but it's actually not. They 're well trained as to what is acceptable in the methods of collecting data and they're fairly proficient at creating 'tests' for their hypothesis following accepted guidelines. But you would be absolutely stunned how many are horrible at logic and reason. Here's an old joke that highlights the point. a scientist wants to find out more about flea Anatomy He trains a flea to jump every time he is commanded to. He says jump and the flea jumps. He pulls one of the legs off of the fleet and commands it to jump. It's a little awkward but it gets on its remaining legs and jumps He pulls off another leg and commands the fleet to jump. He does this until there is just one leg remaining. He pulls off the last leg and commands the fleet to jump. The flea just lays there. "Jump!" he says, "JUMP". It does nothing. That day he records in his journal, "I have discovered today that pulling all the legs off of a flea causes it to go deaf"

  10. These people should be deported. All they are doing is increasing anti-Semitism in Canada and costing law enforcement and the country more money. They are also making life unbearable for Jewish people and students who need to attend universities in Canada. Nobody should have to put up with this.

  11. It continues to amaze me how seemingly educated people can come out with absolutely ridiculous nonsense like this. Then again, I don't spend a lot of time associating with Trudeau or his minions, or the lunatics who believe anything like a just society can be achieved by treating people differently based solely on their race. The following are essential components of a racially fair Canada according to a pair of federally appointed brainstormers: dedicated Black courts and federal departments, racial “decarceration” targets … and, possibly, reparations for slavery. On crime, the authors recommended cutting the number of grounds on which courts can revoke bail from three to two, making it vastly easier for those charged with odious crimes to be released. Additionally, the government should “Make conditional sentence orders available for all offences,” which would mean house arrest could be on the table for any convict — even first-degree murderers. Further, every mandatory minimum should be eliminated from the Criminal Code, and the Youth Criminal Justice Act should be made to apply to anyone 24 and under (instead of today’s ceiling of 17). https://nationalpost.com/opinion/jamie-sarkonak-expect-more-injustice-from-the-liberals-forthcoming-black-justice-strategy

  12. Are you under the impression all those thousands of people (more like hundreds) spent their time working on a report about Canada? Most likely this was a handful of guys looking at statistics. Yes, our economy is growing because we're dumping millions of people into it. But far too many of those people are low-skilled and continue to make Canada less wealthy as the poor middle class gets taxed more and more heavily to pay for the services Trudeau promises to the rest so he can buy their votes. And more and more of those skilled middle class people are vacating the premises, going elsewhere, like down south, so they can have a better life with lower cost of living and lower taxes.

  14. Sometimes they do, especially if they're talking about standard of living, equality, affordability or the polarization of wealth. For this topic and this discussion, it's not relevant. Your claim that GDP per capita is deceptive is misguided. No economic measurement is deceptive on its own, but rather in its presentation, framing and context. The IMF reporting that Canada's economic growth will be the highest in the G7 isn't misleading, but anyone trying to attribute that number to economic performance would be. When adjusted for our rapidly expanding population, our economic growth lands us well below the G7 average.

  16. I don't buy this reasoning at all. Every mistake in an organization does not and SHOULD not result in the firing or resignation of the head of the organization. The restaurant owner does not say "Oh, sorry you got bad fries. I guess I'll sell the restaurant." No, at most they should fire the fry cook or the chef or whoever else should have had responsibility for that meal. Taking responsibility as a leader doesn't mean you stop leading. It means you make the changes to the organization (personnel or otherwise) to ensure that processes will be improved and mistakes will not be repeated.

  18. True. He probably thinks the 'bay of pigs' was an ocean-side fat lady's nudist camp. I mean i disagree with you about putin's motivations for the invasion and we've been frank with each other about that and agree to disagree, but NOBODY could claim that it was unreasonable to see nato as a potential threat. It's a massive armed force, and the region has a 2000 year history of one country making deals with the neighbour's and invading the next country over. You hear the neighbors sharpening their swords and practicing archery a lot more and you're going to have concerns Thinking about it it's probably hard for us to understand in North America. We have really never had to deal with much in the way of invasions and what little there was occurred centuries ago and was over in a short time. We don't spend our time worrying about whether or not someone's going to come whipping across our border and take our lands. We're probably the only country in history that hasn't seriously had to worry about that. So we probably don't have the perspective of someone with thousands of years of history of the neighbors coming across the border on a pretty regular basis.

  20. I know. White people must pretty much adapt and learn their foreign born ways of life and culture and language and white people to give up their own white culture and language just to appear as to not look racist and show more of being inclusive. The East Indians here in BC have and still are taking over just about every business in BC that they can get their hands on. Another few more years and every business in BC will be pretty much owned by East Indians. How are they able to do this is a very good question indeed that needs answering. How much money do those people have when they immigrate to Canada? I just recently got back from a trip to Newfoundland, and i already noticed that East Indians are becoming quite prevalent there and are starting to take over many businesses like they have done here. I am not knocking them for what they are doing, but this is starting to get quite serious here. Will all white people all end up working for those people? It sure looks like these days. Just my opinion.

  21. Actually, it DOES answer those questions in the article. This means that several important readings were omitted from the models including the fact that Toronto was hotter in 1852 than in 2017, while Vancouver experienced warmer weather in 1910 than it did in 2017. It also excluded the fact that the hottest temperature ever observed in Canada took place on September 15, 1935. .....to produce dramatic weather diagrams and maps for their climate change website. .....as a means to illustrate the threat of climate change. They fabricated the data to support their preferred narrative because the real data didn't support it. I guess you didn't read the article, which kinds proves my thought that climate change catastrophizers refuse to consider any information that doesn't agree with the preferred narrative. Let's face it - if the non-catastrophizers were substituting real data for fake data, you'd be having a fit.

  22. I was watching PBS last night for the convention. The one black dude was just race baiting the whole time, claiming that the concerns that middle America has about losing jobs, rising inflation, etc are really not a thing and just a cover to hate black people. These people are demented

  23. Nope. I gave my opinion and you did not like it and started to compare me with the most objectionable person on this forum. My debates/insults/comments to CanFox are the result of actions and reactions between him and I. We resolve or keep on keeping on. It has absolutely nothing to do with you. You invoked him. He has pretty well said that. You lost me and my respect.

  24. I know... not Canada but here in NV, we have 24-hour alcohol sales and you can purchase beer, wine, liquor at any gas station, grocery store, etc. Within 2 miles of my house (radius).. there are 26 places I can buy alcohol. 22 of which are 24 hour operations. This tends to drive the price down.

  26. The IMF stats refer to real GDP - not real GDP per capita. If I am wrong, I stand corrected. **** If Canada has more people, more people are doing things, GDP goes up overall. But on average, are people in Canada better off? And here's a thought: that hesitant voter in the middle?

  29. She said the buck stops with her. She also said that they couldn't put people on the sloped roof the shooter shot from because it was to dangerous. But, the snipers that shot him were on a sloped roof. She also claimed they had drones in the air, but none of them seem to have seen the shooter? She also didn't approve enough agents to secure the perimeter despite repeated requests from Trump's team and a supposed threat from Iran. The president almost got shot, but yeah, its about her sex.

  30. uhh that was after you insulted him. You lied about him presenting a binary solution. You then claimed you'd 'referred him to pieces'. As usual you start something and then try to pretend someone else did. Lets rehash. Carney is a tax and spend liberal who doesn't complain about how much the gov't spent but rather what they spent it on. The "investment" in home building by the gov't is no solution and if it was it would mean the gov't was the biggest landlord in the country. Once again you've picked a fight you're losing and somehow it's my fault 🙄

  31. That's why their hypotheses are subject to peer review and further testing not just their logic and reason. Your old joke is the reason why. So is this; How do you test a hypothesis that says politicians are as easy to buy as scientists? What methods and guidelines did you follow to produce this conclusion? Who reviewed them?

  32. Yeah Republicans have constantly inciting hatred for almost ten years now. 15 if you want to count the tea party kooks who are the immediate ancestors of the MAGAs As one of the right’s most brainwashed cult members on this forum. Im not surprised that you’re absolutely oblivious / conveniently “forget” all the horrible things right wingers have done on a nearly daily basis Calling Obama the N-word calling Hillary the C word ROUTINELY AND UNAPOLOGETICALLY AND WITH PRIDE Lynching Obama in effigy. Then acting offended by the word “deplorable” That wilful blindness and selective memory sums up you and your self-lobotomized ilk perfectly You claim Im lying about Pelosi, there’s a whole thread where you trolls continue to falsely claim the attack was gay sex/male prostitute encounter gone wrong and that pelosi was in his underwear. Your uber-troll Don Jr posted this, taking glee in the hammer assault oof an 80-yr old man because of who he’s married to: What the GOP Response to the Paul Pelosi Attack Reveals About Our Miserable Political Discourse Senator Ted Cruz, Republican of Texas, Congressman Clay Higgins, Republican of Louisiana, and right-wing commentator Dinesh D’Souza all mocked the attack over the weekend in social media posts, in some cases suggesting without evidence that it was part of an elaborate cover up. … https://time.com/6226946/paul-pelosi-attack-gop-response-political-discourse/ Don Jr is the deplorable same person who also made fun if an innocent woman who actually died in a tragic accident, just because it happened during filming an Alec Baldwin movie And sold T-shirts making fun of her death. You want to blow that off and the minute after you read this you’ll re-lobotomize yourself so that you can go back to being oblivious about it because that’s how you operate as a brainwashed cult member with the brain of a malnourished adolescent.

  36. We all know Putin is a thug. No one is arguing that he is a good guy. But the guy has been in power for a quarter of a century. He is almost 71 now. Hitler died in his 50s. Putin is not Hitler. There is no indication he is going to become like Hitler. People saying that the west is guilty of provocation in the Ukraine war are not condoning it. If Russia and China began courting Canada into an alliance, it would not go over to well in the US either. I am not saying they would respond the way Putin did. But you know, it's probably better not to do it in the first place, whether the response is justified or not. Avoiding war with Russia used to be a huge deal.

  40. I don't know how many different ways to point out that the measure used is inadequate to understanding the growth of the public service. But I will point out that the baseline year chosen was deliberate since it was as the Conservatives were reducing the size of the public service. In 2015 when Trudeau took over there were 257k public servants There are now 357k public servants Here's the official statistics. https://www.canada.ca/en/treasury-board-secretariat/services/innovation/human-resources-statistics/population-federal-public-service.html
