  1. Sure. As long as you're okay with the government snatching your kid away from you when you disagree with a governmental policy and putting him in the same kind of residential school. Be careful what you wish for, MH. You think it's great when the government tramples on Charter rights and freedoms and invents arbitrary and un-scientific restrictions for OTHER people when they disagree with certain government policies, never realizing that those exact same things can and WILL be used against yourself one day, whenever the government sees fit. They might one day decide - since Canadians have now forfeited their right to medical bodily autonomy (and you cheered for it) that they need 25,000 children to experiment on with a new drug because Pfizer is going to pay the government XX billions of dollars and guess what? Congratulations! Your kid is # 19,543 so turn him over to us now or have your access to money frozen. What??? You don't agree?? Well, you sure agreed when it was OTHER people's kids and OTHER people's bank accounts.

  2. In China, access to your own money is very much tied into the digital IDs, government can freeze your access based on whether you are "towing the party line" or not. This is a major reason why Chinese millionaires have long viewed Canada as a safe haven for storing their money and investing in Canadian real estate. When Trudeau froze the bank accounts of truckers, I know there were a lot of Canadians who withdrew money from banks but I have read articles about how it also sent a message to these foreign investors that perhaps Canada isn't the "safe haven" it once was and they also took back money. I think this is why Trudeau withdrew the Emergency Act. I think he pushed the button too soon on what's in store for Canadians when the WEF agenda fully takes over and revealed more than the WEF wanted to. Probably got his hands slapped by his globalist masters for that one because it woke a lot of Canadians up to the WEF agenda being implemented behind their backs. A lot of people are talking about the WEF now and how much influence it has over our government. This is why it's important for Canadians to wake up and resist the implementation of digital ID of any sort, and also Bill C-233 - Universal Basic Income (now in third reading), which will do nothing but put all control of your life in the hands of a clearly corrupt government.

  3. So I've read most of this thread and this is what I think. EVs are definitely cool, but they should not be pushed upon the public as some great saviour of mankind. There are posts here talking about the Alberta Tar Sands. An asinine argument if there ever was one. If I go on a trip...anywhere...and find I need fuel, I want a gas powered car because I can refuel it in 3 minutes. Not 30 minutes. If I need a new car, I'll buy what's not gonna cost me a down payment on a new house. As I said...EVs are definitely cool. And one day soon...I hope...the charging process will be convenient. Today though, the technology and facilities are not there. The same goes for this insane push to replace the existing power grid with "green energy". I hope that the technology will make that possible soon, but it is not there today. The long and the sort of this...rather immature argument...is that a wise man does not throw out his old shoes, before he has a new pair.

  4. Sure you can, but people on the right tend to ask questions instead of jumping all in with out knowing things like cost , how many Canadians will benefit or how many require both these programs. It is like the day care program, only those that have a mean income of 36k, or less are eligible, and it only creates a couple thousands new slots per province, is it worth the 9 bil price tag to get it up and running , plus 3 bil a year to keep going...it sounds good on paper, but it does not cover most Canadians.... Most Canadians already have medical and dental coverage through jobs, provincial coverage, insurance etc...low income families are covered in most provinces... so who is this really for... Why not use that funding for boosting our health care at the provincial level...why are the feds stepping on the provincial toes here.

  5. The Toronto Sun seems to be the only MSM outlet interested in this story but it's blasted all over the independent right wing media of Canada and the US. " It seems Prime Minister Justin Trudeau isn’t welcome by some members of the European Parliament. During a plenary session of parliament Wednesday in Brussels, several MEPs called Trudeau out, accusing him of violating human rights over the handling of the Freedom Convoy protest in Ottawa last month. In one speech that has gone viral online, MEP Mislav Kolakusic of Croatia criticized Canada’s leader, stating, “There are those among us who trample on those fundamental values,” a reference to some protesters’ controversial encounter with police horses near Parliament Hill. “For many of us are fundamental human rights for which millions of citizens of Europe and the world have laid down their lives,” Kolakusic said in front of Trudeau, who had addressed parliament. “To defend our rights and the rights of our children, which we have acquired over the centuries, many of us, including myself, are willing to risk, our freedom and our own lives.” Kolakusic said Canada was once a symbol of the modern world but in recent months has become a “symbol of civil rights violation” under Trudeau’s “quasi-liberal boot.” “We watched how you trample women with horses, how you block bank accounts of single parents so they can’t even pay their children’s education and medicine, that they can’t pay utilities, mortgages for their homes,” said Kolakusic. “To you, these may be liberal methods, for many citizens of the world, it is a dictatorship of the worst kind.”

  7. Sooo...woke Hollywood is having a breakdown. Very few people even watch the ceremony anymore. Most of the movies highlighted are trashy woke garbage. But that's because Hollywood isn't interested in good stories. Hollywood is interested in "equity" and China. This scene shows just how toxic the movie industry and those in it, have become.

In any case, according to experts at transparency and the lack thereof we have little to no means of truly accounting for what's happening with regards to money laundering in Canada, and I doubt its only real estate that laundered money is going into.

  14. I hope that Canadians actually vote out the wannabe totalitarian federal government and begin a democratic renewal in Canada. We need stricter conditions for the suspension of Charter rights, stricter conditions for the use of the Emergencies Act, a ban on the government freezing bank accounts of political opponents (unless they have clearly been declared terrorists by a judicial third party), freer speech, a ban on government supporting international policies that haven’t been shared with the public and supported through some kind of public vote, and protections against minority governments using the support of other parties to implement major policies that the majority of the public haven’t supported in an election or referendum. https://apple.news/AAjRntWl-SweJXe_jD8s8Qw

  15. You're lying again. I only said that they were doing bioweapons research, not that they were mass-producing bioweapons. It stands to reason that they most likely are making them, and it's absolutely the case that they're making some, even if it's only enough to keep their research going, but I never claimed that they admitted to having a bioweapon production facility. I don't care what propaganda victims like you you think, I care about facts. The war against Iraq was far worse than this one if your look at all the facts. This is just worse from a "CNN's perspective" point of view.

  20. Maybe the powers that be in the US have decided that it's nearly time to get rid of Biden before he starts an unnecessary war with Russia. His gaffes used to be about what jacket he was wearing, what city & state he was in, who his wife was, and how to walk up stairs. Now they're about him blurting out things like Putin has to go, or members of the 82nd Airborne will be in Ukraine soon, etc. Those aren't just gaffes, they're major escalations in a hot war zone, and the WH has been doing a lot of damage control for the president's mouth in the last few days. When he's not blurting out frightful impending-war comments he's showing abject stupidity and weakness, saying things like "The sanctions were never about being a deterrent", lol. Honestly, he's not a member of the opposition making empty promises that he'll never have to live up to, he's the POTUS, the man with executive power over one of the world's most capable militaries, he's not supposed to be a feeble puppet-boy getting corrected by his own minions all the time. It's at the point now where they have to schedule a "clarification and walk-back briefing" to follow right after his every public address, and I wish I was joking. If the VP wasn't the kind of person to laugh at a question about Ukrainian refugees she'd probably be getting a whole different set of briefings in the near future, but her secret service codename is "Outta the frying pan...". 3rd in line is Nancy Effing Pelosi, one of the most useless people in politics. If the US gov't came out and said "We're gonna get Barack Obama to run the show for a few weeks, just 'til we get back on track, I'd say "FUCK DEMOCRACY, PUT OBAMA IN AGAINST EVERYTHING THAT THE CONSTITUTION STANDS FOR, AND LET'S PULL OUTTA THIS SHIT-SHOW NOW!" And I. do. not. like. Barack. Obama. at. all.

  21. Putin has India on his side, and many NATO countries have no desire to fight an American made war with Russia. Many European countries are still going to do business with Russia because their economies depend on working with Russia. China is stuck in the middle. They have America on one side and Russia on the other side. Both of those countries do not like America. America is both their enemy They will stick together if need be against the warmongers in Washington. Despite what the liars in the American and Canadian media have to say, Russia is not a communist country anymore. The people are free from communism. Maybe the world thinks that Russia is nothing more than a paper tiger, but who is just willing to take them on? They don't use toy guns in the military, don't you know. They now have and can use big toys now. Stop listening to the liars in the MSM. They are mostly all bought and owned by the warmongers in America. It is for dam sure that we are not going to get or hear from an honest media anymore in America or Canada. But thank gawd we still do have an alternative media that is able to give us the other side of the story that the bought off media does not want us to hear and know about. Try it some time will you. Canada is a left wing dictatorship because we have a government imposing policies on the population without the consent of the people. 25. What the Libs and NDP are doing is perfectly acceptable in a parliamentary democracy. In fact, most countries like ours are more relaxed about coalitions than we are, often between parties with far less in common. Regarding JT losing the popular vote, Mr. Harper seemed quite happy with our antiquated FPTP system while in office. I’d prefer a tighter grip on the budget but the people have spoken, have chosen a left-wing parliament and that is that.

  26. The Crown symbolized the divine right of kings - the right to do whatever they wanted by God's authority - granted when Jesus was in Dad-mode presumably. It's interesting that God seems to have become more progressive than conservative over the years. That seems to be at odds with the idea that He made us in His image.

  27. Always the same, you remove the sophisms, the propaganda and there is nothing left about Jesus. Otherwise it gives physical evidence, Shroud of Turin and arguments or evidence from "scientists" working for STURP. Whether Jesus is a fictional character like Adam or a character with a real basis (but a bit more serious than for example a mouse as real base for Mickey) doesn't seem possible to me but the interest with Jesus behind this question of existence or non-existence is to see that people are indoctrinated, conditioned or manipulated into believing it whereas if we look for methods against disinformation, propaganda, it seems to me that we are led to reject a historical consensus based on wind.

  29. From what I understand, there's no physical evidence that empirically proves Jesus existed. Excuse my ignorance if I'm wrong, as usual, but the gospels were maintained purely by "oral tradition" for about the first 100 years, before some apparently wise pilgrim decided to write them down. You can imagine things getting a little exaggerated or modified over that stretch of time. But hey. Let's assume they didn't embellish things a little. Then, ya got yer Romanization of Christ. 30. Since dental health and proper pharmesutical treatment are important to good health, and many low income people cannot afford dental treatment and pharmesutical intervention, the savings to the healthcare system will more than compensate for the costs of these two programs. I submit that helping avoid worse health outcomes is not evil. 1)Materialism is not a product of socialism anymore than capitalism. It is hardwired into the brain like compassion. 2)Most people who are in low income situations in Canada are in that position due to illness, incapacity or marriage breakdown. There are also periods of high unemployment where people find themselves unable to find work. 3)I've lived in both BC and Saskatchewan most of my life under NDP, PC's and Social Credit (now called Reform). The only one that didn't respect private property was Social Credit. No Conservative or New Democrat tried to take away my property. The American author is incorrect. 4)She confuses marxism with democratic socialism. They are very different. 5) This is a stretch. I don't think socialism had anything to do with the fact that several friends of mine were finally alled to get married when the law changed. The American author would rather have a traditional marriage- that is the union between a man and a womans estate and status after he bought her from her father.

  31. I think they will start by writing you a letter. I really don't think guns come into it. The point is, you had a hand in electing them, either by working hard for the winner or not working hard enough for the loser. If you don't pay for your groceries, that is theft and you may be prosecuted. If you don't pay your rent, you may be evicted. If you don't pay for the services the Government provides, they have the right to take such action as they are entitled by law to protect their interests and the interests of the country.

  32. The Canadian state does not take taxes by force. The Parliament and Provincial Legislatures, which you had a role in electing, voted for the taxes to give you and your community the services you need and desire. If you have a problem with how tax money is spent, you have the opportunity to change your MP or MLA in the next election. If your candidate did not get elected, that is on you for not working hard enough in the campaign, or perhaps your views are different from other members of your community. Or maybe you feel entitled to live in this country rent free?

  33. The idea behind socialism is an organized means of ensuring people have enough to eat, shelter and the neccessities of life. It was the perview of the temple / church / mosque, but the problem with that is so people in need fall through the cracks. Some believe government is a better platform for ensuring fewer people are in need. It has been part of the social contract in our culture going back thousands of years. The Roman government collected taxes and provided food and shelter for the poor. The myth about Nero was actually an attempt by the Roman administration to provide affordable housing. The slums were breeding grounds for pestilence, so they were burned and the residents were moved into social housing...likely with the same results we see today in the projects. Even Neanderthals took care of their less fortunate members. There is the dig at Shanidar in which the reamains of a man were found. He was about 40 when he died in a rockfall about 75,000 years ago. He was born with a withered arm and when he was about 20, he broke his good arm, which never healed properly. His remains showed he had been well fed throughout his life. His community cared for him for twenty years after he became severely disabled. He lived in a community who's graves showed a belief in an afterlife. Human compassion has been a vital evolutionary survival mechanism. Socialism could be considered an organizational attempt to improve on that. Society works as a team. "All for one and one for all" is a better strategy than what is mine is mine and the rest are on their own. Where is the evil in that?
