Watch how low it goes when the cult leader throws his mindless followers like @Deluge under the bus and dumps his stock. Followers giving their scarce, hard-earned money to their billionaire leader is classic cult behaviour. Not that anyone needed anymore signs that MAGA is a cult. Are there any cult traits that MAGA doesn’t have?4 points

He said that her father was a Marxist. And Trump’s father was a Klansman. Their fathers aren’t running for President. You’d think someone running for President wouldn’t stoop so low as to insult his opponent’s father, but the felon Trump’s mind has been in the gutter forever.3 points

Trump didn't do as well as he should have, but if the debate was measured on substance, Trump clearly won. Kamala literally had nothing to stand on the whole night. Her whole campaign is based on "I learned from our mistakes", and "I no longer believe in the stupid things I said when I was only 57 yrs old." Don't forget, there are a lot of people in the US who didn't even know that Kamala was bailing out violent rioters during the BLM riots. Tonight would have been the first they heard of it. That's a huge loss for Kamala. All Kamala could say about the Ukraine war is "I talked to Zelenski before it started". Israel war: "Yeah, bad stuff happened on Oct 7th and I hope it all ends well there..." Illegal immigration: "Well we almost passed a border bill after we opened the borders up." What did she say? What accomplishment of hers did she point to tonight?3 points

Harris argued circles around Trump. Made a clearer and more appealing message to American voters. Trump was on defense the entire time, rambled off topic, constantly looked nervous on the side-by-side.2 points

He didn't say it wasn't political. You clowned out in your first post on this thread. Well done. 🤡 Why can't you post without making yourself look like a donkey? See below: CBC is the most corrupt broadcaster in the world people. You heard it here, from our resident genius. 🤣2 points

LMAO NICE TRY LOSER You said it’s the best way to help trump “and yourself”. Then you went into many stupid and juvenile posts claiming that the stock was a quality investment despite several people more intelligent than yourself trying hopelessly to educate your dumb know-nothing ass. Why would buying a worthless investment which has additional fees associated with it be a better way to help Trump than just donating the money directly? Honestly you’re so dumb if you’re not a know-nothing idi*t teenager then you’re someone who despite being way too old to still talk and think like a know-nothing idi*t teenager isn’t any more successful in life. Based on your juvenile sexualized insults your probably as unsuccessful with women as you are with money and the rest of your life.2 points

"Useful id*ot" is a term that Russian intelligence has been using since at least WW2, and they've continued ever since. Most of these donkeys aren't actually traitors (though some are). You’re full of shlt. Republicans always lie because they know that their policies are terrible. Here is word-for-word what ABC said during the debate: “There is no state in this country where it is legal to kill a baby after it's born.” This is a fact, and your stupid video does not disprove that fact. Here is a link to the full transcript of the debate, so that you can verify that’s what they said, word-for-word: https://abcnews.go.com/amp/Politics/harris-trump-presidential-debate-transcript/story?id=1135605422 points

Northam was referring to “third-trimester abortions” that are done in cases “where there may be severe deformities. There may be a fetus that’s non viable” he said. “If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother,” Northam stated. g about a “tragic and extremely rare case in which a woman with a nonviable pregnancy or severe fetal abnormalities went into labor.” more: https://www.reuters.com/article/world/fact-check-virginia-governors-2019-comments-about-abortion-bill-are-missing-co-idUSKBN27D2GS/2 points

Having to convert office space into homes is not the issue here....got nothing to do with Civil service, BTW how is that working out so far....This is about civil service wanting to take that inch the government gave them and turn it into a mile...... Last time i checked the Employer sets out the rules and policies for each employee to follow, don't like those rules then yes by all means there is the door, there are thousands of Canadians who would blow a dead bear for those high paying civil service jobs....None of them are irreplaceable, just another squirrel on the wheel.... Meanwhile there are thousands of civil servants that need to come into the office to work, all across the country They are not compensated for their drive in to work, Day care, getting to spend more time with their families, or give to their communities...no they are to busy working for the government... They just got a huge raise in pay this year, on top of all that for the last two years they have not had to pay for parking, gas to get back and forth to work and in some case day care as they are home every day, getting to see family more, even have time to get involved with the community....start adding all that up and your looking at more than a few hundred dollars each week they are saving...And while they are off doing all of this they are not getting work down they could have done while in an office under supervision... Many are retiring....in protest...these are well paying jobs, and would be welcomed by new and younger Canadians eager to have a chance at government benefits... I like, EXFLER worked for the military for a long time, then went to work in the civil service for 5 years, and he is right they have grown into an entitled group of pussies...for the most part...they are always whining about something or letting you know what they can do or what they can't...2 points

The majority, first-by-the post parliamentary system was established in the 17th-18th centuries and may have been the only form of democracy possible at the time given the level of education and involvement of average, regular citizens. By now it's clear that it has run the course of its relevance and usability in the modern world of democracy. All remaining examples of its use in the modern world are in some kind of a trouble. In the third, semi-democracy world it is preferred to keep the power concentrated in the hands of rulers or elites due to obscurity and susceptibility to corruption. Of the three remaining instances in the first world, two: the U.S. and Canada are in some form of systemic crisis (U.S: extreme partisanship, Canada: detachment and disengagement of the population), while the United Kingdom, the place of its origin and long tradition can be considered a special and unique case, not without its problems as either. A hallmark of the system is that it isolates the access and control over the power from regular citizens to the maximum or extreme (U.S, Canada) extent. The role of the citizens, forget the great declarations and anthems, is limited only to voicing their opinion with no effect on the power decisions and participating in the democracy ritual to chose formal head from the selection reduced to the absolute minimum. It fosters partisanship, all the way to extreme, unproductive levels and shifts and confuses the priorities of the politics. The main objective of the duopoly is not competent, responsible and effective governance but gaining access to the power and holding it as long as possible. A meaningful, honest and responsible conversation about the state and priorities of the society is hardly possible in this environment. There's nothing wrong with political views and policies being focused and promoted by involved groups, political entities, parties and movements. What is ineffective and counterproductive is superficially reducing the meaningful choice the citizens can exercise to the absolute minimum. In the modern world it makes no, zero sense. Instead of competing with the best, politicians only have to beat their duopoly alter-ego and more often than not, not by superior vision and plan but by trying to put down and diminish them. And now, even objectivity and reality itself don't seem to matter. This erodes and rots both the quality of politics and involvement and trust of the citizens. The decline and eventual demise of democracy, if nothing changes, will follow inevitably. There's nothing prophetic about this conclusion: only logic and factual reality.1 point

I don't think it's his age that's the problem. He is very hit and miss when it comes to debates or speeches. His first speech against Biden the last time was a disaster. Even his speech at the National Convention started off amazing and then wandered off and was about an hour longer than it needed to be. He doesn't believe in practicing, he believes he'll just go out there and wing it and it will be great. And that's true about 60% of the time. But the other 40% you see the lack of preparation and that's what we saw last night. He got off track and he couldn't get back on because he had to practice how to do so and what exactly to say to counter various points. Despite many people's opinion to the contrary, trump has never been a very good campaigner. He won against Hillary because she sucks worse. He lost against Biden because he didn't try at all. Kamala looks a little bit more like Hillary, it's going to be a question of who sucks worse and I suspect in a long game it's going to be her. The other problem is that he has no vision this time. The first time it was if you vote for me america will be great again. Jobs will come back to this country that fled to other countries. I will make our allies pay their fair share. I will make sure that illegal migrants aren't running all over our streets killing people. I will secure our interest on the international stage. That's what you get if you vote for me. This time there's very little of that. There's a policy here and a policy there but none of it ties together to create a complete picture of what trump land would look like if he won. So people aren't getting as excited and that's a problem1 point

I'm not talking about what the person lying in the slectively edited video said, I'm talking about what the actual evidence says. So what? No one is going into an abortion clinic six weeks before their due date and saying "you know what I changed my mind, get this thing out of here" and no doctor would perform that procedure without there being some health issues involved. Well, apparently they never claimed "there's no such thing as late term abortion" so if anyone is lying here, it's you and the f*cking losers at "Students for Life".1 point

Nearly 450,000 eligible Canadians have received care under the Canadian Dental Care Plan News release August 7, 2024 | Ottawa, Ontario | Government of Canada I fluffed it up to nearly half a million eligible Canadians given the date of the release. Presumably these were ineligible for their provincial plans. The link says up to 9 million Canadians could benefit from this. It's 2024, Canada is finally getting closer to being or par with many of our more progressive peers, who long ago rolled dental care into their national healthcare plans, and it took Canada's left wing to get it done. Of course PP could just as easily cancel the whole thing because it's too woke.1 point

1) “Donated”? So you admit that suckers who BOUGHT TS shares thinking they were purchasing something of value were actually just “donating” money to Teump? 2) So you’re too poor to “donate” but you encouraged others to when you said The best way to help Trump, and yourself, is to invest in Truth Social - that way it becomes a win/win! And what about when you said “you’re just getting in” to buying TS shares” and that “indicators do show that it is taking off,” that “you’re helping” Trump, that you’ll “keep us posted on this investment”. That was all bullshit? What’s hilarious in reading that thread is how absolutely stupid and clueless you look talking up that stock and attacking us all with your juvenile sexualized insults whenever we tried to give you a dose of reality and educate your stupid ignorant ass.1 point

What I do is understand is that a soldier with degrees in electrical engineering in charge of emergency planning said doctors shouldn't have been put in charge of the response to the COVID health emergency - it was just a flu that was only killing old farts as far as he was concerned. According to this logic we should put hair-styling experts in charge of military emergencies - with extra bonus points for any who bring an electrical engineering receipt.1 point
