https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/vaccines-schools-florida-1.7624370 I don't think people should be forced to take the flu shot or the COVID vaccine. But you SHOULD have to get the MMR vaccine if you want to access public services. These are diseases that were thought to be eradicated, and now because uninformed conspiracy theorists think "Bit Pharma" is out to get them. This will be a huge FOFA moment for Florida.2 points

Project 2025 mastermind invited to speak at Carney's cabinet meeting | CBC News So, trump says he loves carney. Carney gives trump everything he wants Carney takes our own tariffs off And now Carney invites the mastermind behind trump's infamous project 2025 to speak to his cabinet Remind me again about how PP is the one who will sell us out to trump and is too much like trump?2 points

The lie is found in some a$$hole telling citizens of a constitution driven Republic that guns are evil and that they should be surrendered or destroyed immediately. Get thee the f*ck out of here, communist.2 points

The problem right now for Canada is that the Canadian card is only articulated in superficial terms. I don’t think most Canadians know what the general direction of Canada has been or what the country’s core values were or even should be. That’s a problem. Our own federal Liberal government stopped asserting Canada’s cultural roots and decided that being Canadian means having a big expensive government that makes decisions for how people should think and live, and also decided that the population should stop reproducing itself and rely on immigration for the country’s survival. It brought us promotion of non-traditional families and assisted suicide, shaming of the country as settler colonial, and an anti-resource development philosophy that has handcuffed the sectors with the most potential.2 points

These things are a bad trend. The last thing politics needs are parties separated by race and advocating for racial interests rather than ideological ones. The way to avoid that is to avoid policies that give certain races, sexes etc privileges over others.2 points

Holocaust, is the word we are using right now...you could not have thought of a more descriptive word....gawd you NDP people are drama queens...first you guys said they were starving to death... now this has turned into a Holocaust , there is no where to go from here...You sit there drinking your kokanee in your basement, making judgements on things you know nothing about....that's what your good at , that's what most Canadians are good at, judging...it's a national past time2 points

Centuries ago, though that is based on a mistranslation. Muslims have burned women alive this century. Perhaps you see the difference? Or perhaps you don't care. Which is what I"m doing. What Muslim countries don't hate Jews? None in the Middle East, that's for sure. Not Pakistan or Bangladesh. None in North Africa. Indonesia? Nope, they don't like Jews. Not Malaysia. They hate Jews. What prejudices? Prejudice suggests pre-judging. I'm not pre-judging Islam. My views on Islam are based on the actions of Muslims over the past twenty-five-odd years, and what I have heard fairly reasonable people like Sam Harris, Christopher Hitchens, and Douglas Murray tell me about this religion. All of those guys are atheists, btw. So they don't have a boat in the race. They're not big fans of any religion. How much do YOU know about Islam and the Muslim world? Because I gotta tell you, you come across as incredibly ignorant, as virtually knowledge-free. Bigotry towards Jews is based on who they are. My dislike of Islam and Muslims is based on what they do. You don't get the difference?2 points

I hear you but there's no way I'm jumping into the bed so many conservative dolts have layed out. It's the extremes that are tearing the world apart. There should be a wide open opportunity here for a more rational populism to emerge but we'd probably still wind up with more car salesmen applying for the job than anyone else. Maybe a world run by AI wouldn't be so bad after all.2 points

11 terrorist are now dead, and your screaming about inter national treaties and laws...The war on terror is going on 15 years now, militaries from around the globe kill terrorist every day, what do you think JTF does....just because you don't hear about these operations does not mean they don't happen....do some research or something before chirping about treaties and the law...1 point

This is a perfect example of how fasist the MAGA movement is. Let’s break it doen: 1).POTUS has NO CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY to enforce state or local laws and the constitution specifically prohibits federal use of military against US citizens except in cases of insurrection or rebellion. 2) The claim he’s fighting crime is a sad joke. Red states have some of the worst crime rates (Louisiana Alabama and Mississippi are the states with the highest murder rates in the country, St Louis, Kansas City, Memphis and Atlanta are all top 10 murder cities). Meanwhile crime in Baltimore is at a 50-year low. He’s clearly targeting only Democrat cities for political thuggery. All while encouraging red states to rig the midterm elections by gerrymandering their electoral districts 5 years ahead of schedule But the MAGA thugs don’t care about any of that, they just want their DEAR LEADER to reign supreme with unchecked power and brutalize anyone who dares oppose him. That’s all that matters to them.1 point

There can be no way that Pierre could have lost the election. Pierre was leading by 42% in the polls to the lieberals 26% before the election. That was one hell of a drop in popularity. How could that happen? Sorry, but i do not trust the leiberal party from doing anything illegal to win an election. The hatred that so many Canadians had for the lieberals and yet they won the last election. For me that was impossible. Even the conservative party has said that there were many ridings where the vote appeared to have been fixed and gave seats to a lieberal where a conservative should have won. Just saying.1 point

There should be huge leeway for someone causing violence against someone who breaks into your home. Outside of torture or some other odd extreme cruelty i think any violence is fair game. If you're shot leaving the property who cares. Police would have done the same thing trying to stop them in an arrest if the suspect ran. Maybe PPs law is even correct here who knows, I just think he's an opportunist doing theater here.1 point

You're not differentiating between immigration and illegal immigration. Immigrant and illegal immigrant. Their not anti-immigrant actions, they're anti-illegal immigrant actions. Enough is enough. They purposely conflate the two.1 point

It is not blind at all, nor is it "anti-immigrant" It is anti-illegal immigration.1 point

There is definitely such thing as Poilievre derangement syndrome. The way he gets criticized, you'd think he's the one that's been PM for 10+ years! LOL1 point
-
I tend to agree. Although I have read that many diseases were eradicated by proper sanitation, plumbing, and hygiene. That all coincided with some vaccines. But vaccines get all the credit, When you look at the date, things like polio were already decreasing significantly. Regardless, I think some of the traditional vaccines should still be mandated for children.1 point

Shut up, you ldiot. lol Some Christians are dumb. They often speak like communists because they've allowed godless a$$holes, like you, to convince them that Jesus was a communist. Smart Christians, like me, know exactly what your side is trying to do at all times, so it's easy to flush your nonsense right down the shitter - it's practically automatic.1 point

)Edit: You mean like Trudeau threatened to take away funding to provinces if they didn't do what he wanted on health care policy?) Trump playbook! Trump playbook! LOL Yes, and give more funding to cities that meet building obligations. It's called incentivization. I'm not sure if you're aware, but there's a housing crisis going on in Canada, that the Liberal government has been unable to fix for a decade. So Pierre addressing this crisis in a completely logical way is taking Trump's playbook? Bwaaahaaaahaaaaha! Too funny! I get it though, Pierre is annoying. People don't like his personality. Grow the f**k up already people, there are real problems to solve.1 point

Pierre isn't extreme. Cutting taxes, balancing the budget, energy projects, ending bail for repeat violent offenders, tying immigration to health care, employment and housing isn't extreme. It's boilerplate conservative policy. As illustrated by some 42% of the vote being cast for it. By definition the NDP are a fringe/extreme party by the results of the election.1 point

Interesting. I think Singh was a nice guy but just too young and inexperienced to lead a federal party. He was completely new to federal politics, which was obvious. If he served in the Parliament for a decade guy and reached his 50's in age he'd have a better shot. But they crowned the guy because he was young, fresh, and exciting. He also had significant financial support during the leadership race from the Canadian Sikh community if you look at the public donor records. The NDP, like the Liberals, need to abandon identity politics and focus on real issues for the working class that go beyond free government giveaways that are charged to the debt bill. People can't find a doctor and can't afford a house and all you hear about is freebie programs and pandering woke stuff. Economic fundamentals are ignored because its much easier to create a program and give people stuff they don't have to pay for because the money is borrowed. As far as i'm concerned the NDP and Liberals are economically illiterate (minus possibly Carney). The CPC are illiterate in their own ways LOL. Canadian politics is infested with politicians who are far too ideological and not pragmatic enough.1 point

Straw man? That’s exactly how some of the victims interpreted what he said. Show me Trump speaking with nuance every time he brings this matter up in the manner you suggest, detailing exactly what he means and doesn't mean by Democrat hoax like a normal politician could, and I might take your objection more seriously. As for ‘some nefarious reason’…well it’s not just Dems who are becoming suspicious at this stage as I pointed out above. Quite a few Republicans and people with no political affiliation want to see the files released. Details of any victim who doesn't want to be identified can easily be redacted. We don’t know what’s there but pressure is mounting to find out what they contain. Of course there are many reasons other than evidence of personal wrongdoing that Trump might want the files withheld.1 point

It wasn't one of his ideas. That's the amusing bit. PP would never have done that. He doesn't like trump, isn't interested in the ideas of this guy. Carney on the other hand does like trump. And is happy to talk to his advisors. You guys got Soooooo played. And the ndp sold their party into oblivion over this guy.1 point
-
You may be right. I tend to agree. Poilievre did show a remarkable lack of instinct. ==== Trump threw him a bone and Poilievre missed it. Instead, Carney saw the bone and ran with it.1 point
-
With his rightward move, Carney has created space for the NDP if they have the wit to use it. On fundamental economic matters they have a stronger message than Poilievre’s Tories who can only appeal to working-class people on social issues. If we see more industrial strife, then protecting collective bargaining will become an important issue and a natural NDP one.1 point

Thank you for demonstrating your level of maturity. You appear to be the loudest person in the room. We all know what that means. The law is clear on this. Point a firearm at a person loaded or not, is an offence. Your exceptions to the rule do not change the rule. 87 (1) Every person commits an offence who, without lawful excuse, points a firearm at another person, whether the firearm is loaded or unloaded. Marginal note:Punishment (2) Every person who commits an offence under subsection (1) (a) is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years; or (b) is guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction. R.S., 1985, c. C-46, s. 87 1995, c. 39, s. 139 Now calm down. Crying whining because you don't like someones statements on the internet is foolish.1 point

Posted were asinine. How you feel about that is up to you. What else do I not know? Oh... didn't you know, how I didn't know, I can't take it? Not impressive is your lack of knowing what I don't know. Requiring insurance is for each person to decide in this case, and has nothing to do with the laws regarding self defense. Though it wouldn't surprise me if the Liberal gov't makes it mandatory to have self defense insurance, while being illegal to defend oneself.1 point

You're like every XENOPHOBE going back 200 years here. Used to be Irish, then Italians and now Mexicans/South Americans. You make a MOCKERY of the dedication plaque on the Statue of Liberty and America's TRADITION of welcoming immigrants. You don't belong here, SO STAY OUT, since you don't like 40% of our population.1 point

Discriminating against people who make up nearly half the voting population is a great way to win elections, and even red-pilling a bunch of them. The concept that everyone should have equal say and equal rights regardless of their race or gender etc has now become a foreign one to the left. They've abandoned the basic foundations of liberalism and liberal democratic rights. Progressives have become such a dolt lot over the last decade. It's no wonder the Democrats are in shambles with this kind of ludicrous nonsense. These parties have made their bed and now get to lay in it.1 point

Yeah, for a guy who's done nothing but politics his whole life he showed a remarkable lack of political instinct and a huge misunderstanding of Canada. The Cons should do Canada a favour and ditch him.1 point

if he did ONE thing for ONE day... he's got 100 percent more experience in politics than Carney And it's showing. Carney is failing. Carney stole PP's platform because he knew PP had the smarts to figure out what needed to be done, but Carney doesn't have the skills to actually DO any of it. PP has the experience and the knowledge to get things done. Carney has the knowledge of how to bend the knee and that's it1 point
