  1. Are there any leftists here who consider MSNBC a "news source"? Would you ever watch a show on that station or, God forbid, just repeat something that you saw there without verifying it on TikTok first? 🤣 Sorry, I couldn't resist. Just a simple question, do you or does anyone that you know consider MSNBC "news"?

  2. Today, America is blessed to have a President who recognizes that all people are equal. The sick, perverted, adulterous, G-d hating Trump said it’s blasphemous to proclaim Transgender Visibility Day, while selling $60 Bibles, even though he can’t quote a single verse out of the book. I am glad that today is not American Bigotry Day. Go Biden!!!

  7. In the New Testament the punishment is according to the golden rule of loving your neighbor as yourself and only takes place after your death, after having lived your life, if you are an unjust person and from now on you can repent, while in the Old Testament your punishment is according to the law of retaliation and takes place immediately if you are caught whether you are a just or an unjust person which means that the righteous are wrongly condemned and this It is even said that you can sometimes sacrifice an innocent animal in your place, which seems to me to be a total injustice. The Old Testament is the justice of the devil or others while in the New Testament you are the implementer of justice, it is not God who condemns you it is you, God only does executed the judgment you had against yourself. Example: Adultery, in the Old Testament you are condemned to death whether you are just or unjust right away while in the New Testament you are only condemned after your death, after having lived your whole life without to be repented of it on the condition of having been unjust, that is to say not accepting that your partner cheats on you. I prefer the rule of justice of the New Testament to that of the Old Testament but we see that society prefers the rule of the Old Testament and applies it.

  8. https://www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opinion/trump-nypd-jonathan-diller-wake-rcna145590 Here's their actual quote: Most presidents usually grasp for unity after tragedy. Trump stokes division. And here's their reason for saying his speech "stoked divisivion": Trump was uninterested in trying to bring the country together to make sense of the tragedy. In other words, he was himself. “It’s happening all too often and we’re just not going to let it happen,” he said to the press outside the funeral home. “We have to get back to law and order,” he went on. “The only thing we can say is, maybe something is going to be learned. We’ve gotta toughen it up, we’ve gotta strengthen it up. This should never be allowed.” Can someone show me where the divisiveness is in that statement? He never said anything about bidolt or the Demonrats there. By contrast, when Biden went on an angry rant against 75M Trump voters, calling them all MAGA extremists, MSNBC called it: "a striking prime-time speech ... warning about the existential threat posed by MAGA Republicans."🤣 https://www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opinion/joe-biden-s-speech-took-place-front-marines-here-s-n1298589 MSNBC isn't even on the same level with the Weekly World News, The Enquirer, and CNN. They're so gross I doubt that even mainstream leftards can watch it.

  9. These latest attempts by LGBTQ2S+ and other identity groups to amend the Online Harms Bill reveal the dark and sinister oppression underway of religious rights and the rise of secular fascism. Quebec has already moved down that road with Bill 20. Christianity and other religions are being forced underground. People are being compelled to say and think what they don’t believe, in violation of their faith. The Online Harms Bill is another attempt to remove free speech from Canadians. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/article-religion-online-harms-bill/#:~:text=Globe and Mail-,MPs%2C Jewish groups seek to end religious hate-speech,defence in online harms bill

Really, how are they going to do it? https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/power-grid-demand-electric-vehicles-1.6440595 Damn right I criticize them, they can't think of anything more original than another tax. If they were actually serious about this, they would be using the tax revenues to enlarge the generating capacity and the grid.

I don't "like" any of the current party's choice of leaders but I vote for what the party stands for in their platform. And I'll defend the leaders against stupid accusations*. *Unless it's a Tory... ever since their goose step away from the Progressive Conservative platform they can go to hell.

  16. It's totally reasonable to have empathy to people who have been scammed financially by con men. The thing is, if the same people get conned over and over again, the onus is also on the victim. It is totally reasonable that after a few times of getting robbed, that we lose the empathy for the victims. This is what is happening with the Canadian population at large.

  19. I watched the CBC news but did not see Trudeau's Easter message. I was able to find it on youtube. But very few people will watch his message on youtube. I have not watched CTV news this Easter (Sunday) morning, but if it is not being broadcast on the main television networks in the country, you might as well say it is not being broadcast. Very few people watch youtube so that really counts as nothing. Will check CTV news later today and see if it appears on there.

  22. True enough, but we have been lax in the standards in which we hold our politicians, in fact most Canadians seem to just except whatever they put in place thinking there is nothing they can do to influence another outcome....we the people are complacent. Not to mention who we are willing to accept as politicians... we base most of our vote on what they are willing to promise us when they get elected, which 99.99 % of it is bullshit, or does not survive a reality check......how many voters look at previous work practices, track records etc...So yes i guess your right we get what we get...becasue we are to lazy to do any of the work. To be honest thats their team, and they will do what is needed to defend it...Liberals do not have the same morals or values as other Canadians.

  24. And it only works if everyone joins in. And so far maybe two dozen out of two hundred countries are doing much about it. So it might as well be unilateral. Er. damaging. Not my math. It was in the cited piece. Bjorn Lomborg, head of the Copenhagen Consensus Institute, has calculated, using one of the UN’s own models, that all policies from the Paris Agreement would “likely reduce global temperature rise about 0.17 degrees Celsius in 2100,” an impact which would be imperceptible.

  26. Can you name one Trump cabinet official or Chief of Staff who supports Trump’s re-election? His Secretary of State called him stupid. His Attorney General testified against him. His Education Secretary resigned after January 6. And on and on. None of his circle of closest advisors support him any longer.

  27. Yup. I guess you either commit to doing it or not. As Yoda would say "there is no try." Canadians simply aren't up to the task IMO, people are already complaining about costs and we're gassing out 20 seconds into round #1. I think we watched too many motivational videos (from the couch) instead of doing the road work. If they were asked, how many people would voluntarily turn their thermostat down to 13 degrees (next winter) and only drive their cars twice a week to help with reaching our stated goals? Well, who knows eh, but I bet the answer is darned few. In the grand scheme of things, and even assuming everyone did it, it still qualifies as a weak sister effort because more is required. Instead of shivering in the dark maybe we should invest in R&D and take a leadership role in developing the new technologies required to actually get er done. In the final analysis, and IMO of course, new technology and a massive investment in infrastructure is the only way we will be hitting those accord targets at all, and it won't happen in under 6 years either. And that assumes we collectively agree to stay the course. if a vote were held today, and it outlined the effort required and projected costs in an honest way, I'm not even sure about predicting that vote's outcome.

  28. Voters don't base their vote on the honesty of a politician. Mr. Poilievre will win a super majority and will then back track on everything he promised. EDIT: I should not have said that. 30. What do you think the tax does if not increase costs and reduce disposable income? Or approach is unilateral if it is not in common with other approaches. That is the definition of unilateral. The cost of administering this tax isn’t nothing. It is paid for by the revenues it generates or debt.

  31. It makes sense to me. Unilateral actions that increase costs make you uncompetitive in a global economy. Global problems require global solutions, not ad hoc policies based on ideology.

  32. Yes, the CBC is another one of those "no more compromise" issues for me and they worked tirelessly to achieve it. Completely unnecessary, easily avoided, and totally self inflicted. It's as if some of these organizations can now read the tea leaves and are trying to get their last digs in before they hit the wall. Apparently, Veterans Affairs just tweeted "Happy March Holiday Season" to serving members and veterans. Almost like it was designed to rub smelly cheese in their faces. Assuming it's not a hoax, it's neither cute, funny or, inclusive IMO. It leaves me wondering whether the intent was to annoy or if it's possible that they're so out of touch with the people they represent that they really think "Happy Easter" causes offence to non-christian members of the CAF or RCMP. News flash.... it doesn't. But what does annoy them is being continuously subjected to woke nonsense and being used as pawns in support of it. Imagine how many members mumbled FU under their breath as they cleared that tweet. The exact same sentiment I had when I saw it and I'm pretty sure those on deployment are saying the same thing out loud while simultaneously extending both middle fingers. My second thought was to feel badly for the two young ladies in the stock photo who (likely) had nothing to do with (and no advanced knowledge of) the intended message. History isn't going to be kind. I think woke nonsense will age just as badly (and just as quickly) as the hateful ridicule and ill-informed rhetoric of the rabid pro-vax crowd. As it turns out, my next task is to hide "March Holiday Eggs" (from the "March Holiday Bunny") for my grandkids.

  33. You should be praising those anchors for NOT being controlled. That's how journalists with integrity behave. Contrast that with the lack of integrity at FOX, where the biggest names on the network simply email and text each other about how awful it is that they have to lie to their stupid audience every day.

  36. Well this is the thing. Sane people like us can look at the past and say "Ok - since then data has come out and we'll re evaluate our position as it was back then when we had less information".. And that's a sensible thing to do - you revisit what happened in light of today's info and you look at whether or not you made the best decisions and how you might do things different should the situation arise again. You learn - you evolve - you get smarter better stronger. Guys like him only care about their echo chamber and defending the libs so if you bring up something that was happening ONLY TWO YEARS AGO (the distant past apperently LOL) then they freak out and make 1diotic claims - such as '2 years ago is living in the past' to pick one at random. The first guy constantly claims he's talked about everything for decades now even if it didn't exist decades ago and the second one melts down and posts ass porn and fake crap when faced with facts. What did you expect?

  37. well I would argue it's not just gross. It's the beginning of the end of the US as it's come to be. Every major civillization goes through this. But the fact is that a civilization can only exist while it's people actually believe in their systems. Whether it's a religious oligarchy or a free market democracy - once people don't believe in it any more it falls apart. Laws and rights don't exist as real things- they exist as ideals and beliefs in people's minds and hearts. Once that's gone it's just useless paper. And that's what the dems are doing - by weaponizing the system they are convincing people that the system isn't real, that it's not a 'justice' system, that their beliefs and ideals are not valid. You watch - this gets worse and there will be retaliation and the US will tend to spiral down into decay

So not only does she have them on breach of contract, she also has them on creating a hostile work environment and defamation. Since their hosts were talking bad and bullying one their co-workers publicly. Cant wait for that lawsuit.

Why would you believe that CNN has any credibility also?

  45. When I bring up the question of Mr. Poilievre's honesty, I don't mean to infer making false promises is a detriment to electoral success. In 1980, Pierre Trudeau promised to twin the railroad from sea to sea. Stephen Harper lied about the income trust issue and stood up in Regina and bald-faced lied about equalization agreements with Saskatchewan. Joe Clark went on the campaign trail in 1979 promising to privatize PetroCanada, move the Canadian embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, and pay off the deficit left by Trudeau and Turner. As soon as he was appointed to lead a minority government, he set about keeping his promises, so the electorate defeated him. Joe Clark is the only guy who ever defeated a Trudeau, and he was brought down by Social Credit. He was defeated because he was an honest politician. So, Pierre Polilevre doesn't need to concern himself with the accuracy of his debunked claims about the carbon tax. He will win his super majority in just a few short months and nobody will care if he lied or not.
    1 point
  46. Have I ever said Pierre Polilieve is not going to be appointed Prime Minister after the next election? I stand by my prediction that he will have a super majority on a Diefenbaker scale. In reading more about Mr. Poilievre, and a lengthy conversation with my MP, I have come to see more signs of his conservatism and loyalty, and that is encouraging. I live in hope that he will give short shrift to the republicans in the CPC. As to the questions around his veracity, we will know in about 3 years.
