Oh, but he made fun of the free speech people... Therefore he must be canceled. However, if he were to make fun of LGBTQ or make racist statements, then we would need to protect him at all costs. Do you understand free speech now?3 points
-
But would you cancel it for someone who's had a full career, simply because you didn't like one of the cartoons?3 points

Are assuming the Order of Canada is being given for one cartoon?? If so, you have your bible up your a$$. He is an internationally renowned cartoonist and has been for many decades. He is published in all newspapers and magazines all over the English speaking world. Political editorial cartoonists are satirists of all things political and just because he picked on your party does not make him ineligible for Order of Canada. He bashes everyone.2 points

If all you want to hear is opinions you agree with, we COULD just get you a voice recorder There are many here whom i basically rarely or never bother to engage with unless they do so first but its still worth looking at opinions even if they turn out to be stupid. I've never been a proponent of sticking one's head in the sand, i think you miss things if you don't read the useless posts along with the others. I mean - i read yours after all. (Ba Da TINNGGGGG - tip your waitresses folks, i'm here all week!)2 points

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. When the truckers first rolled into Ottawa and the government (and a lot of the media )were trying to set the narrative about what slimeballs they were with all the nazis flags and trying to overthrow the Trudeau government..... maybe he wasn't aware of all the facts. Like there was only 1 nazi flag with Trudeau's photo underneath it, and the goal was to remove a minority government constitutionally. I wonder if he had any regrets? But that we'll never know.1 point

TROLL!!! MONSTER!!!! HORN HONKING FACIST!!!!! Well - obviously having 'Proof" about the future is challenging. If you were about to fall off a cliff, it may be difficult to prove with absolute detail what will happen in the future if you don't step back from the cliff, but it's safe to say it would be bad. But as you say - the "crisis" today argument has not been made well. And if it is a "crisis" toady why are we screwing around with useless things like carbon taxes? All i hear is that by this date or that date we're reaching a tipping point where there's no return... and the dates keep coming up and not much changes and nobody's willing to do much that isn't 'virtue signalling".1 point
-
Or, you could look at it as sarcasm, making fun of those who believe their daily needs are being provided by fascists. You can read into that cartoon just about anything you want depending on your own prejudices. Maybe that is what he intended. de Adder has won numerous awards in the US as well1 point
-
Calling everything one disagrees with "fascism" is not rational. It is more divisive politics. GG awards should not be used for political purposes.1 point

I think the issue is that it's unmoderated. There is no expectation, let alone enforcement, of quality participation. So the trolls have set up permanent camp, sucking up all the oxygen with a low-IQ circle jerk. There is no pride of place. It's a flop house.1 point

Yup. Here's the problem as I see it. Here in Canuckland, we elected an entitled little brat as PM. I really think that's the long and the short of it. Justin just doesn't possess any ability to fathom, or put up with, conflicting points of view. That and, I honestly believe that Justin is a coward. I also believe being Canada's PM is not his ultimate goal. To him, being PM is a stepping stone to his daddy's dream of leading the UN. Hence all the insufferable virtue signaling. In the US, their entire political system has been bought and paid for. Then came a guy who didn't need the money, and who promised to put an end to the games. To "drain the swamp". This was and still is completely intolerable to the established politicos. They didn't just need to stop him, they needed to destroy him. Nothing was or is beneath them, in order to "get Trump". In both nations however, the public has finally seen through the facade of politics, and demand real leadership. For the people. Not in spite of the people. Here in Canuckland, we'll have a change in Polievre. The election will get nasty as Justin realizes his dreams are being burnt. But the election should go off relatively normally. Down in The States though, they're facing real danger. The established politicos there will not allow some upstart to expose their arrangements and snub them openly. The corporations who buy these established politicos, will not allow their control slip from them. It's quite literally the people vs. the establishment. So while we're in for a bumpy government transition, the Americans are flirting with open rebellion. Can such a disaster be avoided in The States? That depends on "We the people" as it were. Do the American public have the balls to reject the lies and deciept? Or is destroying the status quo so scary to them, that they elect more of the same ol' same old? We will see but...I'm praying for rejection.1 point

Shouldn't we continue where right? . Wow - wrong so many times and in your first sentence. Impressive Couldn't be further from the truth. You can organize a new party. That has happened many times. Bernier did. Harper did. Manning did. may did. The bloc did. Others did too including the ndp which is still fairly new on the scene. so you're not stuck in the slightest . In fact - we ROUTINELY create new parties. Don't like the libs - vote cpc. Don't like the cpc, vote PPC. Not to your linking? Try ghe greens. Allergic to donuts and can't vote green? Go with the NDP. Or start something new - we've had alliance and reform and a bunch of others in the past. I mean - you couldn't even get past your first sentence without being so wrong it hurts to look at. Sigh. Stick with tinkertoys till you're older kid.1 point

"Populism: a political approach that strives to appeal to ordinary people who feel that their concerns are disregarded by established elite groups." Racism is different than populism. It would be nice to have a moderate populist party in Canada...or the US. Canadians aren't racist enough to elect the PPC, who are more racist than populist. NDP could be called populist, but are made up of naive radicals with dumb ideas and thus won't be elected. Except for in BC, which contains a lot of hippie treehuggers....probably because of all the trees out there.1 point

No, I also look at the history of Palestine in the context of being colonized, oppressed and subjugated. It's even easier for you to pretend history started on Oct 7th. You appear to be erasing and replacing history - is this a new standard?1 point

I don't think anyone is OK with it, what i do think is that this thing called war has many realities attached to it, civilians dying is one of those hard realities...we don't have to like it but it is always going to be the case... You keep mentioning hospitals, schools, and refugee camps, all of which have protected status, under the rule of law and the conventions...and like everything there is always a BUT if they are used by militant forces to store weapons', launch attacks from, house troops, etc... they loose that protection and become legitimate military targets...to be engaged by the the IDF...are civilians going to get in the way, sure...they always do...in every conflict...i don't think i've heard anyone say the same stuff about Ukrainians civilians or the other 150 global conflicts...just when terrorist are involved i guess.... The other side goes out of their way to attack soft civilian targets like music fests, filled with unarmed young adults, or enters communities filled with farmers and wipes them out ever man, women, child, and yes infants...NONE had broken inter nation law, or any conventions...this is how they role...and now they are paying the price...and will continue to pay the price until someone wins...1 point

I get the sense that you're ignoring the context and history of Israel and the Jewish people. It's easy for you to sit at home in Canada and moralize about how they defend themselves from an existential threat they face every day, but it rings heavily of selective history and double-standards. Galvanizing, certainly, but once again you ignore the context of decades worth of violence and aggression against Israel that forms much of that pre-Oct 7 history. 🤷♂️1 point

Then by that stupid logic, neither are yours, so that would mean that I beat your brains out strictly with logic and sound reasoning, which would be fine with me. Of course, I'm going to keep posting the way I always do because you're an insect and it's fun to stomp on you.1 point

We do not vote for "parties." We vote for a person to become our Member of Parliament. If we were voting for a party, we would never have independents sitting in Parliament. (Jodi Wilson-Reybould) Political parties are a handy vehicle for organizing caucuses but they carry a danger of imposing "ideology" on issues. Ideology is an anathema to good government and the enemy of pragmatism. You seem to want a return to the "rotten boroughs" where wealthy doners could buy a seat in parliament. We must do all we can to prevent our Members of Parliament from becoming more beholden to a party than the electorate. The PR system really lends itsself to giving power to the elites and the wealthy.1 point

The messaging of both our Little Potato and Brandon has been nasty. I remember the 2015 election. I remember Trump making personal attacks on people. I remember Clinton calling conservatives "a basket of deplorables". I remember Little Potato waxing away about unity. Brandon too. Then they insulted conservatives and even accused them of being terrorists. Hmm... Insult a person directly...insult half the people in your nation. People a leader can't hope to lead, after such sweeping accusations. Quite socially divisive. As if...on purpose?1 point

You should just put Hodad on ignore. He's completely immune to facts, logic and reason and he never makes an attempt to post anything worth reading or acknowledging. Once he tells a lie he'll never stop. He'll just keep saying it over and over until even Goebbels would feel shame.1 point

You have zero room to call anyone a liar. It's like a morbidly obese person from one of those reality shows trying to call someone else chubby. I don't know at what point in your sad life you made the active decision to be a useless turd, but clearly you've made your peace with it.1 point

You are full of it. I didn't belittle anything except for you kooks. Voter impersonation fraud is comically easy to catch, like you've been told a thousand times. Anything at scale is little like trying to shoplift a surfboard by tucking or down your pants. It'll get caught exactly like this was. You posted a story about how fraud detection is effective, and you can't even understand how that further destroys your evidence-free claims of a stolen election. Lol1 point
-
Lol...sure you did. By belittling the fraud, you attempt to excuse it. Any cop will tell you that when they catch 1 criminal, there are many more they didn't catch. But you know that, yet must insist the opposite because...cheaters have to lie. And all it does is poison you.1 point

By all means, if a howling mob of Democrats smash into the Capitol, assaulting police, calling for the death of the Vice President, Speaker of the House and other elected officials in an explicit attempt to prevent the peaceful transfer of power, you are encouraged to call that an insurrection. Please do! I'd like to think everyone has the common sense to call such behavior an insurrection. I'd certainly call it that. Until then, I guess you'll keep defending, dismissing and minimizing such behavior while playing the victim when such behavior is prosecuted.🙄 Party of "personal responsibility" my ass.1 point

If the people who pretend to care so much about global warming were legit, their solution wouldn't be: "Stop burning Alberta coal right beside the mines - ship it 10,000 km to China to be burned there." There's nothing about our "Global warming" targets that doesn't benefit China. Buy their batteries, buy their solar panels and other green tech, sell our cheapest fuels to them at a discount, and make energy costs here skyrocket, while they use all the cheapest forms of energy available. And do we really believe in the purchase of these "carbon offsets"? Does Trudeau really pay enough money into a legitimate carbon offset company to make up for the fact that he flies his own sycophant mediatards around in a jumbo jet, or is that BS as well? Who owns these companies? A bunch of cronies? Celebrity global warming pimp: "Yeah, I fly a private jet and cruise in circles in a yacht - burning more fuel almost every day than you burn in your entire lifetime - but I pay for some tree-planting. If I didn't pay for those trees to be planted, we would eventually run out." Sure buddy, I totally believe you. Thanks for saving the planet.1 point

It may just be you that is being a useful buffoon for those globalist shysters that are probably paying big bucks to someone to lie and to try and spread bullshit to the people into believing that the world will come to an end if we do not try and stop the earth from warming up by two degrees by the end of the century. WOW? Two degrees, eh? You and me will be long gone by then. This is why i am not worried about global warming. Perhaps the world will be a nicer and warmer planet to live on, although, two degrees will not be making the earth all that much warmer. Al Gore said one time that Miami was supposed to be under water ten years ago. As far as i know, Miami is still above water. Even stupid demonrat AOC said that the world will end in twelve years from now, if we do not do anything about climate change. I believe that six years have passed since she told us that remarkable lie. She just has six more years to see if her prediction comes true. Just two points that Marc Marano has pointed out to losers like you to know about. So, don't try and tell me that Marc Marano is trying to spread bullshit around. It is people like you that are trying to spread bullshit around. Anybody who tries to tell the other side of the story of this so called climate crisis will always get knocked down by pro globalist fools like you. Just because someone says that global warming is a crisis, does not mean that they know what they are talking about just because they have some kind of degree that says that i can say this and you must believe it. Get lost. 🙃1 point

The US has no left party. The only party I hear identity politics from is Republicans setting their hair on fire over bathroom use, and silly crap like that. Maybe I’m not paying enough attention to Biden? What’s he saying, other than people should be treated the same regardless of their gender, orientation, colour, etc? Was it identity politics to give women the vote? Should they not have done that because it upsets conservatives “1 point
