  2. Maybe that's because your political leanings fall too far outside of what defines as electable in Canada. This commission is mandated by the use of the Emergencies Act.

  4. during the protest, while the Liberals were committing ignominious treason I was doing my duty of course, attempting to contact my MP & MLA those filthy disgusting cowards, sycophants, cronies & traitors could not be reached by any means they were literally in hiding so as a last resort, I attempted to contact the Senate the only office which answered my call, was the Speaker of the Senate's office and they were ultra professional I gave my name, rank, service number & post numerals they recognized me as a decorated Canadian veteran they showed me the utmost deference they recorded my statement word for word, reading it back to me swore on the Crown of Canada that it would be passed to the Speaker then thanked me for my service

  5. What accountability are you looking for? You want a duley elected government to be deposed because you don't like something they did? PP and the CPC are free to use the invocation of the EMA as evidence JT doesn't deserve another mandate when they face the electorate again.

  6. So far it's a lot of complaints about noise and congestion, some unproven anecdotes (one witness talked about a homeless man getting beat up but could not provide a name, police report or any other information). If you look at the criteria for declaring the Emergency Act, inconvenience and noise are not part of the criteria for declaring a national emergency and imposing martial law across the country.

  7. The inquiry will find no wrongdoing because its members and the media outlets that report the proceedings are biased towards the government. Sure we’ll hear some concerns and wrist-slapping. It’s like holding an election for which we know the outcome, but it’s nice to talk about other outcomes the way one might read fairy tales with happy endings.

  8. You know what's more likely? Nobody nukes anyone, because that'd be insane for everyone involved. Putin's impotent bluster and your lame coping are to be laughed at, not taken seriously. Russia is poor. That's not pretend, nor is it up for debate. Nobody called them stupid. You've implied that their low(er) reliance on electronics is intentional/planned, which isn't true. They're poor. They're trying to play superpower with an economy smaller than Canada's. Do the math.

He got people to think he won the Presidency, even though he never produced a bit of evidence and lost 60 court cases nationwide. That’s the definition of stupid. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. He’s fooled you over and over and over.

  10. The "bureaucracy" is the group that follows rules, regulations, laws and procedures set up and made law by politicians. It does not check nor control itself as it is checked and controlled by the mere fact it has no other job but to follow the proceduress enacted by the rulers of the land, regardless of party..

  14. “The House Committee on Oversight and Reform released records show that Trump’s business billed the Secret Service above standard cost more than 40 times, charging as much as $1,185 per room per night – more than five times the government rate.” So far, the over-billing amounts to over $1.5 million dollars of theft and Congress has subpoenaed the Secret Service for billions records of all hotel stays during the Trump Administration. Eric Trump claimed that the Secret Service always stayed for free at Trump hotels. Yet more proof that the Trump Family is an organized crime family that lies and steals from the American people. https://www.usnews.com/news/national-news/articles/2022-10-17/trump-charged-secret-service-exorbitant-rates-to-stay-at-his-properties

  16. What a stupid thing to say: Of course evolution from bacteria to human hasn’t been repeated in a laboratory, because we haven’t had four billion years to run the experiment. On the other hand, even the Pope agrees that the evidence is clear that the world is more than a few thousand years old.

  18. Yet another consequence of the privations of lockdowns, mandates, and restrictions. The non-Covid suffering and long term consequences of these privations are heavy, probably heavier than what we would have suffered overall in a less restrictive society. “All- cause deaths” were substantially higher too, according to the insurance industry. We need to ensure that freedoms and rights aren’t so easily removed and that there are sunset clauses that make privations as temporary as possible. I’m dreading how the next “crisis” will be used to subjugate populations. We have good reasons to be concerned. Clearly even your right to protest isn’t protected.

  19. Anything or any tradition can be canceled for any reason really, we have seen it happen over and over again, to think any of our traditions are 100 % safe, is naive really. Canada is not telling immigrants come here and enjoy our Canadian culture, it has been changing Canadian culture to meet their needs so we can call ourselves diverse. it is a slow but steady process, but it is happening. If you had said 20 years ago, we would have a million genders i would have thought, you were crazy....and poof today well there is an infinite number. These Canadian customs or holidays are being tweaked every year, with more and more restrictions placed upon them. To give you an example Federal government renamed Christmas holidays to holiday season, becasue it is a Christian holiday, they have since renamed the soldier Christmas dinner where the chain of command celebrates the junior soldiers for all their hard work, today it is known as just soldiers' dinner to make it even more non-descript. During these calibrations Santa use to hand out promotions, awards and give some time off, now Santa is no longer used it is not universal symbol.

A quick google search provides a much different slant to your safer theory... in fact it provides the exact opposite. more than double the number of homicides. CANADIAN HOMICIDE RATES: A COMPARISON OF TWO DATA SOURCES - JustResearch Edition no. 9 (justice.gc.ca) In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, physical distancing and stay-at-home orders, overall police-reported crime has decreased in 2020. In contrast, police reported 743 homicides in 2020, an increase of 56 homicides over the previous year, and the highest number since 1991. This represents a 7% increase in the homicide rate from 1.83 homicides per 100,000 population in 2019 to 1.95 in 2020, which is the highest rate since 2005. Homicide in Canada, 2020 (statcan.gc.ca)

  22. I think people are responsible for their own actions and I think people are people. History is the story of conquerors being conquered. I’m sure if I was a Huron in the mid-1600’s I’d fear the Mohawks. Humanity chose the organized society with codified laws, money, farms, and eventually smart phones. You can bitch about it and romanticize some “noble savage” pre-contact stereotype, but the first settlers lived pretty light on the land and the cultural exchanges in Canada were generally positive except for the disease brought from Europe. The big colonial questions of what to do about the “Indian problem” came later after 100’s of thousands of immigrants came. Guess what? They’re still coming, and based on your politics, I’m sure you support high immigration. Colonialism never sleeps and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

  28. I'm already subscribed to his channels. Simon has lots of great content but he's not an expert by any means. I'm surprised you had no concept of what a tactical nuclear weapon is. As I've already stated, Putin will not be nuking Ukraine if it comes to their use. Far more likely would be a multi-megaton detonation in space over Western Europe creating an electro-magnetic pulse. Nothing electronic would be functioning unless heavily shielded or based on pure mechanical analogue technology. That is: a physical switch (et al) rather than a button sending a signal. It would take months if not years to repair all the damage. Meanwhile, our cashless society would fall to pieces worse than it already has. America...France, UK can do their own EMP attacks on Russia but they'll not be nearly as effective as Russia is still heavily using analogue technology even though more modern methods are available to them. Odd, hey? What Simon missed in this video was the existence of the N-Bomb which as you might recall is a 'tactical nuke' that uses a low yield device to produce excessive amounts of ionizing radiation. People gone...buildings all standing...no significant fallout. N-Bombs are not very effective against military targets as most APCs, AFVs etc are NBC capable these days no matter Simon's assertion that Russia has no capability to operate on the nuclear battlefield. NukeMap by Alex Wellerstein is quite handy for seeing the general effectiveness of various yield weapons for both ground and air-bursts. Ground bursts are less likely these days...very dirty...tons of fallout. Air-bursts can be very precise at having bomb detonation at the proper height so the actual fireball doesn't touch the surface. One still gets blasted and burned...just from above. Give it a go. Finally, I'll point out the possible existence of devices called salted weapons...cobalt bomb in popular lexicon. These weapons are not for launching or dropping on your foe. A nation would in theory build one in a secure area away from the action and in an existential scenario would be detonated as a 'last laugh'. The idea is to use a big hydrogen bomb encased in cobalt that simply goes off and pumps unbelievable amounts of the radioactive isotope cobalt-60 into the upper atmosphere...On The Beach in real-life. The half-life of cobalt-60 is such that even those in long-term shelters will have long since eaten their last can of beans by the time is is barely safe to return to the surface to inspect what little remains. Israel is one of the prime candidates for possibly having built one (Shimon Peres Negev Nuclear Research Center in Dimona). But Russia certainly has the capability. They've a similar device in their Poseidon torpedo which is also a 'getcha later' weapon. Upshot Knothole Climax (61 kiloton yield) showing the precision available in the 1950s to detonate at just the right height. They've only improved in accuracy...

  29. Suggestion: CUT THE BULLSHIT. Jared Kushner was given TWO BILLION DOLLARS by the Saudi Government, against the recommendations of their own financial experts. BUT YOU DON’T CARE. Therefore, spare me the Hunter Biden drama. If the Jared taking Saudi graft drama doesn’t matter, then don’t tell me about Hunter Biden’s inadmissible evidence of what HUNTER allegedly did. Joe didn’t do any of it, and Hunter didn’t run for office, Hunter wasn’t given White House security clearances, Hunter wasn’t given a White House job by daddy. “Former Senior White House Official Given Two Billion Dollars by Saudi Government” is an actual scandal. IOW, you’re full of shit. You just are. There is no integrity in your stupid argument. And, for my part: If Hunter Biden broke the law, he should be prosecuted. Simple enough.

  33. Each wind turbine needs 80 gallons of oil as lubricant and we're not talking about vegetable oil, this is a PAO synthetic oil based on crude... 12,000 gallons of it. That oil needs to be replaced once a year. This needs to be addressed, the current alternatives are NOT viable. Until we have a viable alternative the moderates are not going to care enough about this to make traction. Lithium batteries which are used in electric cars are actually worse for the environment that fossil fuel consumption. The fossil fuel problem does need to be addressed, but you can not ignore things like asphalt, concrete and glass in major cities. Which OMG cause climate change. Unless something happened I am not aware of large cities covered in asphalt, concrete, and glass are made by humans; therefore; humans do in fact effect climate change. Humans build wave breaks to stop water from going to far inland and causing damage. This also effects the climate. Human put out forest fires rather than letting them burn. Want to tell me that does not effect the environment. Saying human can not effect climate change is a ridiculous untrue statement that anyone with common sense can de bunk. Looky here I just did it. And with out attacking anyone or any name calling. Tolerance does not just mean being tolerant of your friends it mean being tolerant of your enemies as well. I do not know what the solution is but science and engineering are tools that can be used to find it. Do we need a replacement for fossil fuels? Unequivocally YES! Is the emissions thing as bad as they make it out to be? Not really, to much proof that several other factors also contribute just as much or MORE to the rise in global temperature. Get over yourselves and grow up; scientific fact in my life time alone the global average temp has risen 2 degrees. That's 4 decades. That is something that usually happens over several centuries. Look it up its true... I'll wait.

  39. I'm not in much dispute here. I don't have any inside information of how they spend their money in Chicago, but I'm pretty sure we don't do it that way in Canada. As to the cause of crime, or perhaps more importantly violent crime I go with those who say it's the destruction of the family unit and male parental authority in the Black community, and now in the indigenous communities in Canada. Many native reservations are festering social sores much like American inner cities and filled with too many young men who haven't been shown any discipline, and who are under the belief they have no economic future anyway so resort to crime.

  42. Lets all take a breath and stop with the "you're a Nazi; no you're a Nazi" nonsense. Firstly I don't think either of you support or want a return to that little political movement so lets move on. First and for most I do not understand this issue at all. It makes no sense to me unless I look at it from a mental health stand point. In which case it becomes either doctors catering to their patients psychosis, or treatment that I do not understand and is NONE OF MY BUSINESS!!!! This issue belongs in medical journals not the political ring and shame on who ever brought it here. I view this the exact same way I view gay marriage as a Christian "God said love one another full stop; he did no say love one another unless.. " What happens in your bedroom is your business unless you decide to make it my business. In which case I get to comment on it. You can choose to ignore or debate the comment at that point but we both need to recognize what is being stated is opinion not fact. Scientific fact their are three genders for humans: male female and in transition. Mental health fact: The brain deals with trauma and experiences we can not cope with or understand at the time in way we have yet to understand. Treatment of these conditions can often seem bizarre to those not in the mental health profession. I am not a mental health professional, I do not know how to properly read a article from a mental health journal and comprehend all of the nuances of what was said. Also I stopped listening to the talking heads during Clinton's Presidency so I do not really care what they are saying about this. In my opinion this is much ado about nothing and keeping us the gen pub from asking both sides of the aisle why we are arguing about this instead of fixing something that really matters like I don't know education? health care? poverty? The only way this issue should matter to the Federal Government is concerning the Census.

Like, “The sky is blue,” and “Earth is not flat,” and “Obama did not announce his candidacy at the home of Bill Ayers,” and “Obama was born in Hawaii.” Simple stuff. Republicans thrive on lies. Every Republican leader with any decency should have said, “Hey, Barack Obama was born in Hawaii.” But they are not decent people. If lying helps, they’re happy with it. Only problem is, you can never tell when a liar is telling you the truth.
