Why is this relevant? Basically you are arguing that he is an heretical Christian or that his Christianity is not genuine. So what? I really don't know enough about what the guy espouses. I never heard of him before last week. Why does this even come into play? His right to free speech is not based on whether or not he is what you or I consider to be a genuine Christian or not.2 points

Implicit in your question is the standard version of "oh YA, well what about this" fallacy. You aren't asking because you want to know, you're simply making a pronouncement you think will stump everyone. Most of the time people who actually do know the answer recognize the fallacy for what it is and just let you run with it. That's what I'll be doing in about 2 minutes BTW. The bible is actually consistent in both testaments about homosexuality being a sin. The difference is that the New Testament offers the hope of redemption and salvation through the redeeming power of Jesus. Simple eh? Even if your only reason for reading the Bible is to trip up Christians and receive applause from the likes of Herb and Flyer, I'd still say it's a good thing, maybe you'll learn something. I'm guessing it won't be humility though...2 points

VIA: "Think Freedom" on X No matter how you feel about the TRUCKER CONVOY — Tamara Lich’s treatment should concern every Canadian. You may disagree with the convoy. You may rightly recognize that some individuals involved held extreme or distasteful views. You might not like Tamara Lich. And yes, she has been charged—but not convicted—of counselling mischief. That distinction matters. But you should still be asking whether Tamara Lich has been treated fairly by Canada’s justice system. Why does it feel like the process itself has become the punishment? Here’s what we know: Tamara Lich was arrested in 2022 for counselling mischief — a non-violent charge. She spent weeks in jail, was denied bail multiple times, and has been under house arrest for over 3.5 years. Her trial is still ongoing. She has no prior criminal record and is not a flight risk. For what? A non-violent charge: counselling mischief. People who’ve known Lich personally describe her not as a political mastermind, but as a passionate, ordinary Canadian—Metis, five-foot-one, a mother, deeply concerned about the country's direction. Perhaps politically naïve, but sincere. And this is what should worry all Canadians—left, right, or otherwise. If you believe in freedom of expression, if you believe protests should be judged fairly regardless of their politics, and if you think the justice system should be impartial—not influenced by ideology or pressure—then you should be paying attention. People charged with far more serious violent crimes are routinely granted bail. Yet here we are: a woman with no criminal record, who didn’t own a truck or honk a horn, has become entangled in a multi-year legal battle that many say appears politically charged. At the height of the convoy, Tamara Lich started a GoFundMe campaign that raised over $10 million before it was frozen. Regardless of your views on the convoy, this kind of grassroots fundraising caught the nation's attention—and likely the government. The funds were later restrained by court order and remain largely frozen due to an ongoing civil class action lawsuit. Supporters argue that Lich’s “real crime” was becoming a powerful symbol—a viral figure representing a sentiment many Canadians, particularly in the West, felt but didn’t see reflected in Ottawa. When the process becomes the punishment, precedent is set. No matter your politics, if your voice ever becomes “too loud” or “too inconvenient,” could this happen to you?2 points

Canada is one of the traditionally Christian Western countries where the government and media have suppressed their own traditions and peoples. Christianity is under siege in Canada. In a country with a falling birth rate, only complete fools would promote LGBTQ lifestyles and anti-family policies like unlimited abortion up to the day of birth, free birth control, and permissive assisted suicide laws. Canada has moved in the wrong direction for at least the last decade. We have a 1.3 birth rate. The U.S. has a better 1.6 birth rate. The only way Canada maintains itself now is through mass immigration, which is eroding the traditional cultures and peoples. This is what stupid people do.2 points

Of course. There is nothing novel here. Trumps claims against DEI are not based on speech, but the illegal implimentations of it that is rooted in racism and discrimination and the FCC has always been in the business of "viewpoint diversity" because they are the public airways. Right or wrong, this is nothing new with Trump tryint to censor anyone or anything and the usual vague language of the FCC and their existence. Which is why I specifically asked for what was being censored here. There isn't anything.2 points

Sure. That's why we should have welcomed them, instead we directed them to Palestine - the manner in which we did that as Canadians was really nothing less than an act of geopolitical vandalism. We effectively showed refugees how to colonize and dispossess indigenous people of their territories.2 points

Like many blanket pronouncements here it must be fun cherrypicking versus of the Bible out of context and thinking everyone just accepts it all face value. This particular quote comes at the end of the parable of 10 minas. In the context you've chosen, It refers to the rejection of Jesus by the Jews of the day and inserts a young noble into the story line in his stead. The parable has multiple facets but in addition to the obvious, it was also addressed to those Jews who seemed devout on the surface but whose devotion was to religious doctrine and not to God... he did it in the form of a parable that would make sense to the people of the time and place. The last portion of it reflects a common outcome (of the time) when a conquering king was defied by the population (or parts of it) that he came to rule over. It was analogous (for the times) as opposed to being the call to arms that (I perceive) you are trying to make it sound like. For those so inclined, cherry picking versus out of the Koran is far more entertaining... but my guess is that you, Herb and Flyer won't be doing that anytime soon.2 points

So your saying freedom of speech only gets applied in public spaces, and is restricted in parks....you should read the constitution and the freedom of speech para....no where does it say anyone has to agree to your parks rules as long as they obey the freedom of speech rules written into the constitution....those rules apply to every where in Canada...unless it is a private property...did those palestinian protesters get permits to protest outside of the church....do they share the same regards for the rules as you listed for your parks...last time i heard palestinians in Gaza were throwing LGBTQ people off roofs to see if they could fly....sounds like double standard to me...2 points

What a drama laced, biased, racial post LOL. Israel was a UN imposed state...prior to that, it was all Palestine....the Arabs have as right to be angry. Not picking sides...As I said..."Really do not care what goes on in the Middle East. It has been a constant problem since State of Israel was thrust upon the world. Iran could nuke the entire region and it would not be missed." Blow em up and let them start again and see who gets the spoils of war2 points

Harper says Carney team sought his trade advice, suggests looking outside U.S. OTTAWA — Former prime minister Stephen Harper said Monday he's urging Ottawa to find new trading partners outside the United States. "I think it's fair to say I'm probably the most pro-American prime minister in Canadian history," Harper told Canadian and American legislators gathered for the annual Midwestern Legislative Conference meeting in Saskatoon. "We've got to get something short-term worked out with the Trump administration. But this really is a wake-up call for this country to truly diversify its trade export markets. …. Harper said that anyone who had asked for his trade advice a year ago would have been urged to deepen economic and security ties with Canada's southern neighbour. "However, when the government did actually ask me a few weeks ago, my advice was the opposite," he said. Harper said that while Washington is using a failed economic policy of pursuing economic growth through tariffs, the U.S. still needs trading partners. "We just cannot be in a position in the future where we can be threatened in this way and not have that leverage," he said. "The current government does, you know, get it better than their predecessors." ….. https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/harper-says-carney-team-sought-191922663.html1 point

Lol, you're still just making baseless insults because your brief foray into the world of facts and supporting evidence went so horribly wrong. I'll just keep throwing down facts that you don't dare try to refute while you just keep your potty mouth rolling, Link. It's easy to spot who the adult in this conversation is 😘1 point

That wasn't my only example, stupid. There was also the carney's attempt at establishing a DST, the threat of punitive reciprocal tariffs from Canada, and now Trump has told our gov't what pipelines they need to build and how our approval process is going to work. Now, by your own admission, Trump's control of our government has spanned two LPOC governments. And why wouldn't it? The LPOC Politburo is still in place. The worthless loser leading them is the only person that really changed.1 point

I understand this was a difficult question.... 'how should Carney deal with Trump's tariff threats?' So again, you got nothing right... Keep playing 3 word Maga, it suits you well.1 point

No, you're unhappy that we noticed. Again, you're dr seuss easy to read Snif!!! "honest guys im laughing, these are tears of joy really! Snif snif!! (leave me alone you meanies!!!)" LOLOL Kid you're dumb as a stump. It's obvious to everyone. And it's obvious to everyone that your failure to convince anyone that you're not dumb as a stump hurts your feelings are great deal. Take your time and learn to actually make an argument and you'll do much better. Being angry and crying isn't helping. You wouldn't know a fact of it it's you on the ass. You seem to think you're feelings are facts. Maybe that's why your 'facts' get so hurt when people point out you're wrong.1 point

I never ignored anything. We are not talking about all the OT laws and punishments. That is not the subject here. Maybe if you paid attention, you would know what the subject on here is. The subject is not about the whole Bible. The subject is about what a Christian music artist/preacher is being banned for.1 point

Don't go off into a tangent about cost overruns. That wasn't the subject. Why can't you answer the question as of this is fact? And you may want to read the quarterly earnings reports from companies using TMX to see how it's impacted their p&l's. You're right about nothing, as usual....1 point

A "deal" which is just a framework on tariffs from Trump, would scrap the USMCA and subject many other industries to tariffs where they never saw tariffs before. I also don't see any evidence the blanket industry specific tariffs are being carved out with any of these deals. The EU will still pay 50% on Steel and Aluminum. Would any CPC support laud Carney for agreeing to a similar deal as the EU, especially before we see if Mexico has caved as well.1 point

This was not the "US justice system" It was New York, a Prosecutor who was elected running on the campaign platform for getting Trump, and as it was already said to you before, a novel legal theory of them twisting the law to get him... just so someone like you can say he was a convicted felon, no time served... congratulations. It is still on appeal in multiple ways.1 point

They do. You severely overestimate that leverage. It was Canada. Everybody in the territories was a British citizen at that point, Canada hadn't formally organized into a country yet and we're just a series of British territories so the vast majority of people living in Canada were British. But the British forces were made up of British regulars and british volunteers, but they were all Canadian Don't make us do it again1 point

Trudeau did not "kill" a pipeline East. There was only talk, no proposal to build. In the West, he merely respected the wishes of the Province and it's citizens, which you seem to think is exactly what govt should do. Or at least, only when you totally agree.1 point

No they can't. Any name redacted will be considered a conspiracor who was covered up. You have to remember that most of this stuff is already out there. Very little of it is new. But there are the names of lots of people who are essentially victims who don't want their names put out there and there are a lot of accusations which have proven to be baseless but the moment you put them out there some people (you maybe? ) Will insist that the allegations are true regardless no matter what you put in front of them. Trump has said that they should release more "credible" file information and they're looking into it. Which is basically what you're suggesting. But that's not quite as easy as it sounds, and it'll take some time im 'sure and it won't satisfy people because it will be stuff that's boring and already known or not cared about. He and his team have shot themselves in the foot with this by over promising and overselling, and from the sounds of it once you pull out stuff that shouldn't be released for good reason what you're left with isn't much. And his base is never going to believe that there isn't much so they will always assume something is being withheld. There's probably nothing he can do or release that's going to get him out of this mess, what the people want just isn't there but they will never believe that edit: In many ways this has to be very shocking for trump. He's very used to being able to say one thing last week and then say something absolutely completely different tomorrow and have no consequences in the slightest doing that. He does that all the time. But in this case he said something "last week" so to speak about epstien and for the first time nobody will let it go. No matter what he says now they won't let him change his story. this must be frustrating beyond belief for him, partially because he's not used to it but also because without this he had a really good series of things happen to brag about and they're all being totally overshadowed by this.1 point

Another rant that ends up more whining and griping that BC is obligated to solve Alberta's problems disguised as 'problems with pipes through the US" Do you even realize if Trump opens the Keystone project and somehow doubles the capacity to ship Alberta oil to Gulf Coast refineries and export terminals that Danielle Smith's jaws would snap shut so damn fast you'd hear the sound in Quebec City? And you'd see how much of a shit she really gives about pipelines in Canada.1 point
