  1. Pixie-Dust didn't actually win the last election. But we have more than 2 parties. And Pixie-Dust has made his fair share of "executive decisions". What's actually "clear" is... 1. Trump dangled a hook for you silly fops and you bit like a bass. Now you all look dumb. 2. I swear to Gawd...your posts read like a 6 year old complaining that Billy is chewing gum in class.

  2. Less than 80 years thats for sure. It was pretty obvious by the 60's that israel wasn't going anywhere. Certainly by the end of the 70's they'd had their wars and israel was clearly kicking butt and wasn't going anywhere, was well recognized by the international community, and nothing was going to be changing that. That was over 50 years ago. But even then - being 'pissed' does not justify an attack like October 7th. You are siding with the terrorist, not freedom fighters not patriots not 'displaced peoples' - just a bunch of terrorist drunk on hatred and eager to kill. Still the wrong side to be on,

  3. What is suborning perjury? A person is guilty of suborning perjury if he or she attempts to induce a witness to give false testimony under oath in a court or other proceeding, and the witness actually gives false testimony (if the person is an attorney, simply knowing of the witness's plans is enough; see below). Here is what a prosecutor will have to prove when charging a defendant with suborning perjury. Costello is saying: Costello also said Bragg’s office had been “trying to shut me down” during his grand jury testimony last year after he shared with them exculpatory material for the case, including between 200 and 300 emails and text messages with Cohen.  But prosecutors “cherry-picked” that exculpatory material for “two to three” pieces of evidence, he added, describing the rest of the files as “hearsay.”  “You know, and I know, but the grand jurors don’t know, that business records are an exception to the hearsay rule,” Costello said he explained to them, while adding that even hearsay is admissible in grand jury proceedings. That means Bragg's office knew that Cohen would be lying when they put him on the stand. That is suborning perjury.

  5. Or maybe... the "p" is located next to the "o" on the keyboard and it was a typo... The idea? Most of us understand what he is talking about, which is why he said it would only be for a day and that he was mocking you folks on the left... he is clearly talking about using his executive authority, just like any other President does and just like you cheer on Biden doing to push the Constitutional boundaries and you cheer him on even farther. Most of us understand there is no practical or realistic way to actually being a dictator. And speaking of election results, you have already proven you don't respect them either. Remember, you are still claiming the election was not legitimate when Gore lost and making excuses for Gore and Clinton both for their continued lack of respect for the results.

  7. ROFLMAO!!!!!! Worse back pedal ever HE's talking directly to women and discussing being a wife and a mother. Now i know you leftist types think men can have babies these days but he probably doesn't think that I'm pretty sure he was talking to women Nice try though. Always remember the leftist motto: " If truth and science isn't helping us then a pig-headed unwillingness to stare facts in the face will see us through!" No, the point is that's what he did and you're still whining about it. There's nothing wrong with saying the choice is yours and many will choose one direction or another but I want you to know that this is a perfectly valid choice and you should consider it despite the fact that the left says you're evil and Satan if you do. So the real question is why the hell does the left feel the need to lie about what he said? They can't actually debate or discuss the point, they can't actually say he's right and that being a mother is a perfectly valid choice and let it go at that, they have to freak out and turn it into something he never said. Why is that? Why do you feel the need to do that? Why isn't the honest truth enough for you?

  8. 1. Populists are always there, and were. The idea that a solution to a complex problem can be possible through a secret, but simple act is as old as humanity itself. And it's quite easy to sell because this is exactly what folks are looking for at the times of uncertainty and change. Humans are famous, probably the unmatched champions in their ability to accept desired for the reality, and even force it on the reality, as much and to the last drop where it can last. 2. The populace as a whole does not have sophisticated intelligence. It's attitude can be described by only a few grades: "that's great let's get more of that!"; "meh, but OK"; and, "we've had enough of it, let's try something else". 3. In the latter case, the populace can take one of the available choices, presenting a disconnect and a change; or create new ones (upset; revolution). 4. The elites often, very often or almost always fail to see the moment when the population had enough and a real change, disconnect is needed. Can write many words but here: Gore; Clinton; Biden: as simple and terse as it gets. Nope, they just don't see it. All is going great and you just need to stick with us. Forever. No change. So, that ingrained desire of the elites to bathe in the status quo and avoid meaningful change as much as at all possible eventually comes face to face with the wish of the populace to see the change. If real, genuine one isn't possible OK give us some, even just words and entirely superficial. In the proportional system the problem is at least in part mitigated by recording a real, accurate representation of voters attitudes and forcing them to come to at least some consistent direction, often a compromise. But the binary one can offer nothing of the kind: either, the goodness of benevolent elites extended into infinity, "we take good care of you"; or all-out populism. This is the core, the essence. No good words can change anything in this picture. Ohoh.

  9. Sigh. He really inspires a sense of confidence these days. I feel so good knowing our leadership is in the hands of this great thinker. Well.. he can find his way off the stage so i suppose there' that Once again he's out there trying to divide people. He wants to shatter canada into as many small pieces as possible and have them fight for his amusement and for votes. He has no business wading into this fight other than he things if he can make one group of people hate another group that somehow he'll win the next election, and he doesnt' care if it permanently harms canada

  10. My wife is a very strong willed and determined person. She did the career thing in real-estate. Did well too. But when our first came, she quit till the girl was 5. Then she got preggo again with twin boys. And another 5 years...oops... Today she's the bar manager at a popular tavern. But she insisted on being home to raise the kids and I'm glad she did. Not that...anything I'd have said would have swayed her decision...at all...

  11. No, this is a strawman on your part. When you say you think less of someone, I am criticizing your doing just that. Thinking less of them. This is demeaning. You think it makes women feel good as Homemakers when people like you think less of them for doing so? When people like you trivialize what they do and mischaracterize them as not doing anything like a full time job? Those are all YOUR actions YOUR behaviors YOUR words that demean them.

  16. He hasn't actually done anything, and when you listen to his replies they have a certain formula to them where he avoids having to talk about that. He first restates the problem as if he was the one bringing it up and stating it, (even if he disagrees), then he claims it's a problem everywhere and goes on about insigificant details and will pretend he's been talking to canadians about this, till people forget there WAS a question and then claims they're already fixing it without really saying how. He will then say he's trying to fix things for "All canadians' Pick a topic. The rise in interest rates for example. "Mr trudeau, why are interest rates climbing under your leadership" "I think you'll agree that inflation is one of the largest problems facing young people today. It's a global issue that's being felt in every country everywhere and as we know from the past inflation is a terrible thing that can quickly impact people's lives in a negative fashion. Canadians want lower inflation That's why my government will continue to do everything we can to fight inflation and create a better life for all Canadians trudeau's other little trick if you haven't noticed is to constantly say the word Canadians. And he insists on what Canadians want or what they believe or how they think. Canadians want vaccine hesitant people to suffer. Canadians know that I'm doing my best on inflation and if that's not good enough too bad. Canadians believe that parents have no right to know about their child's mental health. He thinks if he tells people that Canadians want or believe or whatever that they will be more likely to think that they should too because after all, the rest of Canada already wants or believes that way apparently.

  17. They absolutely have said that, and look at the attacks on this guy for saying it is a good thing. That's the problem. If the left didn't think it was a bad thing they wouldn't have said anything. If he'd got up and said "My sister chose to be a doctor and it's very rewarding and some of you will chose to be home makers but you will find it very fulfilling to be a doctor", then we'd have never heard his name. The moral outrage and hatred being directed at this guy is not because the left thinks staying home to raise kids is a GOOD thing. Well she must be a terrible terrible person then according to the left Would you agree with the leftist posters here who have said that she is worth less as a person because she stayed home? Would you tell other women that she seemed to enjoy that choice or would you tell them that she should have been out of the home working and you're disappointed in her? You can't have it both ways. either you have a problem with women staying home and being a home maker and mother, OR this guy said nothing wrong. Clearly you have an issue with it.

  19. Who are you talking about? Or, what comment sparked this response?
    1 point
  20. Well my response is in the previous post. Do you think that the medical associations would do nothing if a doctor started saying cigarettes were harmless? Or that homosexuality was a mental illness? I'm not going to dive in to details of vaccines, because I'm not an expert and I have a modicum of trust in the system so I'm really part of the problem in your eyes. But I think that people can still have a discussion on the meta level, discussing the public sphere and how it can/should operate. I don't trust the masses of 2024 to be any more rational than in 1989 France. So what do I do in the current situation? I recognize that any groupthink is a risk, but I accept that risk vs epistemic chaos. The wisdom of publics isn't perfect, but it's a better approach than that of the mob IMO.

  21. The assertion that a default reaction to challenges to convention are put down via a vast conspiracy is unfalsifiable. That's not to say that the public was never lied to, or that so-called science types didn't close ranks, behave tribally and so forth... But if you're trying to do a post mortem on the failures of the system to question and be objective, I think that the bar has to be higher than what you're setting. We can and should be skeptical of public officials, and accept that tribalism and ideology is in all of us when examining their statements. But we also can and should be even more skeptical of strangers who make extreme statements about a system that generally works.

  22. There are other examples too but this particular one strikes me as the poster child for what a frightened population is capable of swallowing and supporting. A moments consideration of the qualifications of some who were de-platformed at the mere suggestion of it (as a possibility) should now give people serious cause to reflect... yet it doesn't. For anyone with a passing tactical interest in information management techniques (veterans and serving members perhaps), this was a master class in what can be accomplished when resources are brought to bear in a coordinated fashion. The manufactured public ridicule of all things "anti-vax," was a measurement of success and a QA means of monitoring the effectiveness of messaging, it also provided an effective venue for modifying that message to achieve maximum effect. It seems that once a majority (or statistically significant portion of the population) commit to weaponized rhetoric and allow hateful, ill informed comments to become the norm, it's hard for those (in this case the majority) to rationalize walking it back and admitting to the possibility that they maybe (perhaps or possibly) got it wrong. It's a wonderfully effective tool... the fact that it takes soooooooooo long to factually disprove an alleged event or occurrence (usually 2 years or more) certainly helps too. You can see that right here on the forum. Personally, I watched this single aspect of the process with great interest. I expected it to be more difficult to coordinate and more costly to those who deliberately did so than what it has proven to be. Fascinating on one hand but certainly scary on the other... And here's the real kicker, all that was ever needed to oppose, and by virtue of opposing thwart this effect were thoughtful questions asked in a polite (and inquiring) manner. So... it's noteworthy that sensible questions were effectively banned, that wasn't an accident BTW. On most of the major topics, and without any prior knowledge, only about two paragraphs worth of reading could have generated the same questions I asked within the ranks of the rabid pro-vaxx community. Just basic stuff like: - What do lipid nanoparticles do? (two paragraphs). - What does the blood brain barrier do? (two paragraphs). - What about spike protein toxicity and inflammation? (two paragraphs) - What prevents systemic distribution of a toxic spike protein in the presence of LNPs? (two paragraphs) -Possible effects of multiple immune system responses (in vaccinated individuals) to a mutated virus that the vaccine doesn't protect against and the associated inflammation that might cause? (that one might be a full page). POOF, 20 minutes of reading and most people would likely have had the same questions I did. I didn't (and actually still don't) know the answers and maybe the concerns I had were groundless, I was open to being convinced. But, and it's a pretty large BUTT, that didn't happen, and the reason it didn't happen was because the f------ questions were banned and those asking them were punished and ridiculed. Later, watching the manufactured ridicule surrounding Ivermectin and reading comments like "are you a horse?" sealed the deal for me. It also earned those information managers a reluctant tip of my hat for a diabolical job well planed, well coordinated and effectively deployed on relatively short notice. I predict we'll be hearing from them again in the future...

  23. 🙄 it’s being moved, not “erased”, “smeared” or “banished”. Typical Warmington and the sun That would make more sense. Neither the conflict nor the soldier were a part of St.Catharines history. Kind of strange that such a large statue to this one private andwas the town’s central monument, directly in front of city hall. And as he was born in Toronto and moved to Winnipeg years before the war, he was neither a native of St Catharines nor a resident of it when he died. He wasn’t killed during a conspicuous act of bravery or pivotal battle either. The statue wasn’t originally erected there anyways, it was moved there in 1936

  25. This whole case has been a joke from day one, there is a reason the Federal Government and the FEC wouldn't touch it and a reason Bragg didn't want to touch from the beginning, I think he was enticed to do it by the Biden administration. All the case needed to go up in flames was Cohen not being able to to tell the truth and Cohen isn't the brightest man in the world either and couldn't keep his lies straight. That cross was like something you would see in a bad court TV show it was obvious and brutal. When Anderson Cooper is like whoa that was bad you know it was devastating. I hope the bring Costello in he will not only decimate Cohens testimony further but will force the jury to question the motives of the prosecution to boot.

I did not vote for anything, and i have no guilt over their decision at all...tens of millions of people are quite happy with the result... you should ask someone that grew up in Gaza that very question...Mosab Hassan Yousef, he's the son of Hamas leader ask him what he thinks of his fathers plan, his fathers crimes against the palestinian people...He gave up a long time ago, and now lectures people on what hamas is really like...He has written a book you should read it, "Son of Hamas" he sees palestines struggle differently than you or blackdog does...he has lived through all of it...He will never see his father again, as the Israelis will kill him for sure.

Sure, i'm sure there is innocent Palestinians that have not supported or took part in terrorist attacks in Israel...Today the Hamas government , freely elected by palestinians who won by a majority of the vote...decided to attack Israel with a series of terrorist attacks...What did you think would happen... Israel was expected to turn the other cheek, how dare they defend themselves...US lost 3000 people in 9/11, that war went on for 16 plus years...hundreds of thousands died..not one of you people cried one tear....right now in sudan there is a conflict ongoing where everyday a new war crime is committed, civilians are stacked laying down then shot to save on bullets remind you of another period of time in history...not a single tear all we hear is crickets from you people...but mention anything jewish and you people loss your minds... Since when has it been OK to stand up for a terrorist group, and it's people...it is obvious that we don't share the same morals or values a line has been drawn in the sand...and your on the wrong side of it...

  35. SO you're claiming that based on what happened almost 100 years ago they are justified in wanting to kill all jews today. Nope. About 100 years ago my family was driven from it's home, had it's lands siezed, most of the family were killed. We fled to a new land and we made a new life for ourselves and thrived. While they were very sad and upset about what happened, they weren't stupid enough to cling to a war they lost, and they taught their children to live and thrive rather than die in the name of hatred. They lost the war. they already submitted. That was last century Now - they have to decide TODAY if they want to build and prosper, or keep fighting a war they already lost and die. Your mental gymnastics trying to justify their slaughter of over a thousand innocent women and children is pathetic. They chose WAR - not to 'resist'. They chose to kill and mutilate out of hatred, not resistance. These are not freedom fighters. These are not the good guys defending their homes. These are evil people born of hatred who revel in endless bloodshed and have no interest in ever seeing it end. You are on the WRONG SIDE bud. They really are the 'baddies'.

If he did so, it wouldn’t be out of honour but pride, because he thinks he can win the election.

  43. Robertson told The Defender he hopes the ban announced today, “is a sign that investigators are willing to pursue this issue, rather than an indication that they have found an individual/organization they’ll be happy to pin everything on.” I couldn't possibly agree more with "David Robertson, Ph.D." some of the most prominent officials and science institutions in biomedical research funded and promoted these experiments. “Some of those very same officials then consistently misled the public about the possibility that research funded by US agencies may have contributed to the creation of SARS-CoV-2.” Regardless of whether or not this goes anywhere, it does my heart good to see a Dr saying publicly the exact same thing that I've said here 1,000 times, only to be flamed by low-IQ, credulous covid10ts. Even if Fauci believed with all his heart, mind and soul that the covid virus came from the unlikely bat-pangolin-human trio, he still had the moral and ethical obligation to disclose the fact that there was another, possibly more likely source of the virus, that being a lab experiment which Fauci had personally approved funding for - on behalf of American taxpayers - in his capacity as NIH Director, just a stone's throw from the wetmarket. The fact that social media was banning all talk of the BSL4 lab, and that the MSM also chose to hide that from the public, is the epitome of Orwellian. Big Brother just gave us all the mushroom treatment, then forced our youths to take a dangerous/lethal injection that they didn't need at all, and which served literally no purpose whatsoever for the greater good. I'm pretty sure that by the time this is over, I will be asking for a lot of high-ranking people in our public health service to be put to death.

  47. That's quite a concerning discourse. Iran is an adversary to our interests, but it also isn't in our interest to destroy them, and especially not by all means available. Pakistan hates Iran and the two countries hit each other with missiles a few weeks ago. Afghanistan, to the Northern border of Iran, isn't sympathetic with Iran as well and they have a conflict when it comes to a hydro-electrical barrage that will cut off the water supply to Iran in the North. Saudi Arabia is at its south alongside many American bases. It's a surrounded, paranoid regime, that will lose its relevance without any foreign interference.

Set up the computer systems, TV and internet links for clinics and hospitals here and remote reserves. Service computers for all the doctors in town and am friends with a couple of them. Had an ex with substance and mental issues, a wife with diabetes, asthma and immune issues no one noticed the cancer and she died 3 days after they diagnosed it. Had a kid with substance issues the OD cuz someone brought the shit into his hospital room. A sister who died from measles before they vaxxed everyone, and another that lost both hands and both feet cuz they diagnosed too slow. Have to go for blood tests every 6 months at the hospital lab, a block from the doctor's office. In 10 years they've "lost" the results three times. And as I mentioned it takes 6 weeks to book an appt for a month's worth of pills. No, I don't know anything at all about the medical system. Aside from almost any of the things mentioned would driven one to file for bankruptcy if I'd been born 20 miles south.
