  1. I hope those that want to, get a chance to attend some form of ceremony, I have the honor of attending this years ceremony with my son for the first time, he is on embarkation leave heading to Latvia soon and his unit gave him a pass to attend any event he wishes....it will be one of the highlights of my life to share a few beers with my son, while he is in uniform and get to share a few memories with my close army buddies. I know it is not fashionable nowadays, but if your inclined Please share a pray or thought for those that have sacrificed everything and came home in a flag draped coffins, or where injured and lets not forget those that left at little of ourselves over there...Pray that they have peace where ever they maybe. Thank you.

This is what actual proof looks like.

  5. No, you don’t know what you’re talking about, because you listen to extremist media hosted by people who have no formal education in US laws. For starters, get this through your fat skull: Immigrants are pouring in because of US IMMIGRATION LAW, which REPUBLICANS REFUSE TO CHANGE. See, you think the government should put these people in buses and ship them back. So do I! But it’s illegal. They have to go through an ultra-crowded judicial process. They cannot be instantly deported, because THAT’S WHAT THE LAW SAYS. Who’s the majority in the House? The Republicans. Where’s their immigration bill? Nowhere.

  8. Well good to see some actual discussion. Yes ouy're correct in that it will not prevent the govt from ordering back to work or even binding arbitration on essential services. They'll include loopholes for that and for management to perform the essential work. More loopholes so maintenance workers to keep working, but no "replacement workers". What it will do is make outfits like Rogers, Bell and Air Canada bargain seriously and end some of this two years without a contract BS. And this one, I do not understand at all. You support unions AND scabs at the same time? You think someone who will demean themselves to do your job for less and screw you out of work deserves respect? You do not support unions.

  10. In this, 21st century. For about three decades, there was a talk about building a high-speed link Toronto to Montreal. It shifted now a bit westward, Calgary to Edmonton (still no rail). What, and where great conversations we will have next? What a great nation (of talkers) we have become. The envy of the world.

  11. Do you think a worker who crosses the picket lines because they need to work should be harassed and targeted by other unionized workers like how some employers harass people who try to start or join a union? Do you believe people have a right to work? There's a difference between "respect" and someone's rights. I didn't say i support "unions", I said I support "union rights", which means the right to organize and strike and not be fired for trying to organize and strike. I support neither unions nor employers outright per say, I support their right to negotiate with each other.

  12. It’s hard to get much done federally because there are few national projects in which all provinces see the benefit. Whenever the federal government decides to create and pay for a new program, there are provinces that already have such a program. However, if greenhouse gas emissions are so important to the Feds, BC treehuggers, and Quebec language fascists, I think HSR ticks a lot of boxes. My guess is that at least a quarter of domestic flights are in that Windsor-Quebec City Corridor. How many cars make trips along this corridor? It would reduce fight and auto trips, and improve highway traffic flows. So you help hit emission reduction targets, but you also improve productivity, service trade flows, tourism, and quality of life. I live in a Toronto suburb with a VIA and GO station. I would take that train to Toronto Union and hop on a 2.5 hour train to Montreal instead of driving. I’d pay good money for it. I think it would be very popular.

  13. Wrong. There are ZERO, and you're a stooge for thinking there were. People were indicted for multiple charges, with a smattering of collusion-related BS among them, but no one has ever been found guilty fo a single charge, aside form the FBI. If they have, then just provide the links, kiddo.

  14. Gazans: 1) Have no great reason to strive for genocide against the Israelis. 1947 Pakistan was infinitely more cruel than 1948 Israel. 2) Started a war by gleefully massacring women and children. They raped women, beat them to death, and paraded their naked corpses through the streets where they were spit on and assaulted by remorseless crowds. 3) Could escape if Hamas would let them, but Hamas needs them to die for photo ops.

  16. Trump could have appealed the summary judgement and he can appeal anything else. So if it’s true that this is a rogue judge, the decision will be overturned. For some reason, large verdicts are almost always reduced on appeal. But you haven’t made a legal argument. The law is the law and Trump broke it. So your side has nothing to fall back on except to call the judge crazy. You need to tell a court of appeal more than that.

  18. Your questions are obviously just taunts . You are not discussing anything. Israel took official possession of land that is absolutely theirs. You are getting into a subject that is way over your head and you are not the least interested in facts. You prefer to just taunt and insult as I said. You should just read your question before you post it. It is obviously frivolous. Almost all countries were formed by colonization. Do you have a problem with that. That is the way the world is. We can't change it. It is just a fact, good or bad. Israel is a special case. It was occupied by Israel thousands of years ago and they have permanent title to it whether you like it or not. If you don't agree, I doubt anything anyone says will change your mind.

  20. I read about the value of Mar-a-Lago, which is only one of many properties that he inflated. Trump’s claim that the club is worth “billions” is utterly false. Trump was losing money on Mar-a-Lago and unable to pay the property tax bill, so he agreed to a deed restriction which limits Mar-a-Lago to use only as a private club, limited to I believe just 500 members. This is why Mar-a-Lago is worth so little. It cannot ever be resold as anything other than a country club, which is basically a hotel/restaurant that has a lot of upkeep and fees to sustain its operation. The place makes about $20 million a year gross, much less net, of course. This is why it’s only worth about $20 million and it will never sell for hundreds of millions or a billion dollars. 500 members maximum.

  21. It's pretty obvious what cons see as America. It's (sometimes) from the 1950's when American was dominant post WWII and blacks, gays, and women knew their "place." AKA white male supremacy was celebrated. For others, it goes back even further to when slavery or segregation was legal. Thankfully progress has destroyed that America. Are you stupid? If America was "being destroyed," at some point it is either destroyed or that LIE IS REVEALED. Duh

I'm not sure what to make of this... https://www.cnn.com/2023/10/27/middleeast/iran-may-not-want-full-war-israel-mime-intl/index.html Right in Tehran, soccer fans from both clubs were yelling "Shove the Palestinian flag up your ass." 23. I have been telling you this again and again/ You and anyone else is not listening. majority of Iranians hate Arabs. They are regarded as enemies. The imposed regime of Islamic republic is not representing Iran or Iran nation/ They are a separate entity. THE WEST MUST HELP THE NATION OF IRAN (by non-military means, the 8 principals I stated), TO TOPPLE THE REGIME AND THEN PEACE WILL RETURN TO MIDDLE EAST AND THE WORLD. CUT OFF THE HEAD OF OCTOPUS. The regime wants the worlF to think they still have lots of support inside. But this is a lie. They pay lots of money to the MERCENARIES so that they take part in pro-regime or anti-Israel demonstrations to show the world that most of nation are with them. In spite of generous rewards to the traitors and mercenaries (and government employees will be fired if they refuse to take part) they have not been able to gather large crowwd in recent years. That is because the nation is in the middle of a revolution. the Woman Life Freedom revolution and the nation of Iran needs support deom democratic world to topple this terrorist regime. WOMAN LIFE FREEDOM.

  24. See below halfwit First, Gov. Reagan signed the Lanterman-Petris-Short Act in 1967, all but ending the practice of institutionalizing patients against their will. The number of mentally ill people entering the criminal justice system doubled the first year after the Lanterman-Petris-Short act Then, in 1981 President Ronald Reagan, who had made major efforts during his Governorship to reduce funding and enlistment for California mental institutions, pushed a political effort through the Democratically controlled House of Representatives and a Republican controlled Senate to repeal most of MHSA. So, throughout the years, Reagans actions inadvertently led to the homeless problem we have today.

  25. You have got this totally backwards and you keep ducking the question. You're the one that seems to be salivating at the prospect of seeing horrific images, not me. And you clearly don't have a response to the point we keep making about Hamas and their longtime tactic of using human shields. They consider Palestinian casualties as a positive thing.

  26. This was a much better debate than the last one. Cross-talk was minimal so you could actually hear what people were saying. Now I may be a little biased here…but in my lefty opinion Vivek was both ridiculous and undignified, throwing insults hither and yon all night. Describing Zelensky as a Nazi was probably the lowest point but it’s hard to say. He also mentioned the TikTok use of Haley’s daughter (she called him ‘scum’ in return), bizarrely described Biden as “a puppet of the managerial class”, the sort of line you might hear at the weekly meeting of the local Trotskyist collective, and proposed a northern wall to keep all those Canadian criminals out. He comes across as a shock jock looking for bad publicity if he can’t get the good stuff. There’s no question he’s an entertaining speaker but the job still requires a little more dignity than he exhibits. The other two also-rans, Christie and Scott, seemed resigned to their fate and just went through the motions. By contrast, Haley and DeSantis performed well although Haley came across better. She’s more likeable. DeSantis might have benefited from teaching a bit of drama in his youth. His vocal range is restricted and he doesn’t move his body enough. On the content side, there’s no question he’s well-informed. Anyway, they remain the pair behind Trump and are both comfortable in this format. At the moment, I can’t see these debates changing the race significantly, at least until the number of participants is reduced.

  27. This is silly now. @Mako Son...the bottom line is, Hamas attached Israel. They did it in a fashion that is incomprehensible in its brutality. It was sickening. Israel has no choice but to respond. Now... @CdnFox has explained this to you, yet you simply refuse to acknowledge reality. This is the act of a petulant child. Something good can come of this mess. But first Israel must ensure the safety of their people and the viability of their nation. Then negotiations for a better coexistence can begin.

  29. Antisemitism in the region we now call Europe goes back for thousands of years. You have summarized the history nicely. Thank you for doing that, because the more we know the truth the better we understand the reason why things are as they are now. Due to the occupation of Jerusalem by the Roman Empire, Jews were permitted to travel and live anywhere within it. Except for actual Rome of course. Kind of like EU today. They fled into Europe and then the history of antisemitism as you gave follows. But the Roman experiment in multiculturalism failed, as separated groups compete and identify primarily by race. It ironically increases racism. Where a monoculture, while arguably less free, eradicates the problem by replacing "race" with "nation".

Deng (1904), Brezhnev (1906). Even Mao and Chou (1898). Gorbatchev (1930) and Yeltsin (1930) were born during. Like Mulroney (1930). People like Putin (1952) or Obama (1961) only know by video.

  35. It is you who cannot read my friend. The attacks in 48 were not by israel but rather by various factions. it had only become a country part way through that year. As i noted no ethnic clensing was attempted by isreal. See - you feel the need to lie to try to make your point and that generally means you don't have a very good point. And none of the people alive would be alive today. So - it's not justification for any volence today. I know, i know - you REALLY want it to be ok for those scumbags in Gaza to kill israelis. It's not. Sorry. And you trying to say it's ok becuase 100 years ago some other terrorists did something that ALSO should be completely condemned is simply false. You need to go away with the rest of the nazis.

  36. No one can say that white people are perfect people. They do have their faults also. As i explained and said already. There are just too many non-white immigrants and refugees coming to Canada, and that disturbs me immensely. I do not want o see my grand kids to grow up in a multicultural and diverse hell hole. A country that will not try and protect it's own culture is doomed to failure as a country. Canada is well on it's way to be trying to racial genocide itself. A country with way too many cultures, languages, religions and traditions and then encourage those new refugees and immigrants to keep those mentioned above, and there is no need to assimilate is a recipe for disaster. Most of those new immigrants and refugees are bringing with them their religious beliefs and prejudices. We have way too many cultures are now celebrating their many cultures in our streets and parading around as if they were back in their own country that they left. For me, that is an insult and a finger to my white culture. What the hell did they come here for if they do not want to assimilate into my white country and start practicing our white heritage and culture. I could go on and on but i believe that i have said enough already about our immigration policy. It stinks. ?

  38. quote Nazi anti-Semitism and the Holocaust The storm of anti-Semitic violence loosed by Nazi Germany under the leadership of Adolf Hitler from 1933 to 1945 not only reached a terrifying intensity in Germany itself but also inspired anti-Jewish movements elsewhere. Anti-Semitism was promulgated in France by the Cagoulards (French: “Hooded Men”), in Hungary by the Arrow Cross, in England by the British Union of Fascists, and in the United States by the German-American Bund and the Silver Shirts. Nuremberg Race Laws chart A chart issued under the Nuremberg Laws (German: Nürnberger Gesetze) that was intended to teach the Nazi concept of “blood purity.” The discriminatory, anti-Semitic Nuremberg Laws—also known as the Nuremberg Race Laws—were announced in 1935 at Nürnberg (Nuremberg) in Germany during a Nazi Party rally. This chart identifies three “races,” one of which is “Jews,” and ostensibly explains how a person's ancestry can be used to categorize that person.(more) In Nazi Germany, anti-Semitism reached a racial dimension never before experienced. Christianity had sought the conversion of the Jews, and political leaders from Spain to England had sought their expulsion because Jews were practitioners of Judaism, but the Nazis—who regarded Jews not only as members of a subhuman race but as a dangerous cancer that would destroy the German people—sought the “final solution to the Jewish question,” the murder of all Jews— men, women, and children—and their eradication from the human race. In Nazi ideology that perceived Jewishness to be biological, the elimination of the Jews was essential to the purification and even the salvation of the German people. Jewish badge used in the Netherlands Jewish badge worn in the Netherlands during World War II. Beginning in April 1942, all people in the Netherlands identified as Jews were required, by law, to wear a badge like this one, which is a yellow Star of David outlined in black with the Dutch word Jood (“Jew”) at its centre. This badge was a visible designation of Jewish identity that expressed and encouraged the persecution and dehumanization of those who wore it. The Netherlands were occupied by Nazi Germany in May 1940.(more) unquote Anti-Semitism - Nazi, Holocaust, Persecution | Britannica
