  2. So if you saw a drag queen on the street and you had never seen them before (and therefore actually knew zero about them)... would you leave them alone? or would you walk up and confront them about being a groomer and such other nonsense?

  3. Everyone at the protest was criminalized. Bidumb went on TV and ranted that everyone who voted for Trump is a "MAGA IKSTREMIST TARARIST!" Well that's a huge step back, hey? Just a few years ago you could get the FBI to falsify evidence and provide it to a judge for you in order to get warrants to spy on the president. The problem is that you're the most credulous dolt on planet earth and even when you finally understand something you lie about it anyways. All you do here is lie and say stupid things. You can drop the act where you pretend that other people don't know something that you do.

  5. Yeah, yeah. We know. You, with absolutely no qualifications and little reasoning to show, have decided that you know more than the entire global scientific community. They're all just "dumb fcks." Stoopid scientists! Meanwhile, over in the soft sciences they have to recalibrate the Dunning Kruger scale to accommodate folks like you.

  7. Get rid of benefits like welfare and raise taxes on the poor at the same time as ensuring their right to own firearms.... duh.... claiming Biden is a corrupt dictator when you really want is a Czar Nicholas to make things better.... “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” TLDR for a MAGA Floridan I guess.

  8. I'm not, I'm simply doubting you, specifically your assertion Trudeau killed thousands of Canadians. And you haven't provided any reasons why I shouldn't. The only reason you're making this hooey up is because you were upset by the article I posted about a report on vaccine misinformation and subsequent hesitancy that caused hundreds of thousands of COVID cases, several thousand hospitalizations and 2800 deaths. You're simply trying to play rubber and glue with it. You also don't seem too fussy over research and reports that indicate conservative governments are linked to a greater number of cases, hospitalizations and deaths. So do you think you're fairly typical of the sort of person Poilievre will listen to and represent when he's in power?

  10. As some here may know I'm someone who's been involved in the construction industry my whole career. I'm retired now but still travel to job sites of family members and friends and use my experience to give guidance, a consultant of sorts who doesn't get paid. I've visited close to a dozen job sites in the month of August and every single crew of every single outfit has Illegals doing the work white men could never do. Latinos laying pavers in the blazing sun not standing erect the entire day. Latinos setting steel handling blazing hot I-Beams at a brand new strip mall. Latinos on their knees laying thousands upon thousands of ceramic tile never getting up to take a break. Twelve hour days most of them, never complaining showing up every single day. And despite all the Reich Wing hokum, these illegals receive paychecks and pay state and federal TAXES. Yep these illegals are doing the jobs that you comfy white boys could never do. They keep our economy HUMMING!!!

  12. So you admit that you lied. You falsely said that Joe Biden called every person who voted for Trump a “MAGA IKSTREMIST TARARIST!" [SIC] Biden clearly did not say that. He said: “Now, I want to be very clear -- very clear up front: Not every Republican, not even the majority of Republicans, are MAGA Republicans. Not every Republican embraces their extreme ideology.” When are you going to get it through your thick skull that you’ll never convince us of anything if all your arguments are based on easily disprovable lies?

  13. The guy spews one argument after another, so let’s begin with the first: James Comey said to George Stephanopolis that Donald Trump is morally unfit to serve as President. And this is supposed to be an outrage, because Stephanopolis worked for Clinton. But Stephanopolis quit working for Clinton. That said, Trump’s personal indiscretions are 1/1,000th of his moral failings. Four women accused Clinton of sexual assault. Eighteen women accused Donald Trump of the same. But there are far larger moral issues with Donald Trump. After all, he directly asked the FBI Director to “go easy” on Michael Flynn. Trump used his DOJ as a personal defense team, shielding him from allegations of rape, defamation, and financial crimes. And all of those efforts worked until Trump left office. I could fill a book with the man’s moral indiscretions. It’s obvious that Donald Trump is in no way Christian or that he has any fear of God whatsoever. He routinely brings in confidants and then he destroys them.

  14. Let’s walk through those: 1) Society exists. It’s here. I just looked outside; it’s not destroyed. It’s doing just fine. 2) Co-existence. You’re the one calling for violence, not me. 3) The border. President Biden is following Federal law. The Federal Law needs to be changed, but he Republican Congress has not proposed or passed an immigration reform law. 4) The economy is going gangbusters. Lowest sub-4% in 60 years. Inflation going down. Stock market going up. Deficit down 50%. Every economic indicator is positive. 5) The legal system is doing just fine, except for the Supreme Court judges who believe they are above the law and don’t need to follow any ethical standards whatsoever. 6) Ukraine: The people of Ukraine are so grateful that Joe Biden is President, because they know perfectly well that if Trump were still President, America wouldn’t have supplied them with any weapons, NATO would be fractured and Russia would have probably conquered their entire nation by now. 7) Energy: In 2023, under President Biden, America has produced more petroleum than in any year ever. And at the same time, we’ve undertaken the largest development of renewable electricity production ever, in order to fuel our sustained economic growth. 8 ) The school system: Schools in blue states are out-performing schools in red states, overall. The best universities are overwhelmingly located in blue states. 9) And you would be very wise to stop promoting insurrection because you are not anonymous on the internet.

If all you do is dismiss his as being not to your liking - then you're saying you have nothing to refute this at all, you just don't like it. Lets see your counter evidence that shows this is all inaccurate.

  18. Well, let's see. You've got: 1. An op-ed from a non-scientist that has to be close to 20 years since publish. 2. An op-ed from a non-scientist published last year 3. An op-ed from a non-scientist published by an entity that's been engaged in an oil-funded climate disinformation campaign for decades. 4. A youtube jackass interviewing the same non-scientist who wrote op-ed #1 5. A youtube lecture of the same non-scientist who wrote op-ed #1 A looooooong slow clap for you. I'm not sure I could have supported my argument any better than this sorry display does. I'm taking this as acknowledgement that you have no science to support your point of view. And yet, you chase after these non-experts and dubious sources as if they have value, solely because they feed you a steady drip of convenient answers and excuses.

  19. Thank you for asking that question. According to Federal Law, on January 6 there was an insurrection. Passed the House and Passed the Senate unanimously and was signed into law. You can see it for yourself in this law, it’s in the 2nd or 3rd sentence: https://www.congress.gov/117/plaws/publ32/PLAW-117publ32.pdf The Civil War was also an insurrection and people were not tried as insurrectionists… but they were barred from Federal office if they were former insurrectionists who had previously sworn an oath to the Constitution. No trial, just as there is no trial to determine whether you’re 35 years old.

  24. This has already been addressed at length. Of course - as an obvious liberal supporter it's important for you to cast ANYONE who raises legitimate concerns about trudeau as "irrational". So it's only natural for a liberal supporter like you to bring it up again and pretend it was not addressed previously. People hate what trudeau has done to our country. In fact - at this point it's looking like more than half of the people hate it. I get that hurts you personally as a liberal and a left winger - but you'd probably better get used to it. Trudeau has horribly damaged this country and it's people and more and more people are feeling betrayed or hurt by him every month according to numerous polls over the last year. And it's entirely rational for them to feel that way. As to PP, peaking early would have been a concern if he climbed in popularity too fast. The brightest flame burns out first of course. However - he's doing it the right way. His growth in popularity is very slow, very methodical, and continuous. He's building on people's impressions all the time and becoming more and more appealing to them. He's broadening his base bit by bit and he goes up in the polls every month just a little bit at a time. That kind of growth tends to last a long long time. And the public now accepts that justin is the reason why their problems are happening, ether because he caused it or because he refuses to deal with it depending on the problem. And the liberals in general are going to wear that stink. So no - i don't think PP is worried. I think he'll just keep on building, looking at how to get the next person on board. keeping the people he's got eager for the day he takes over.

  25. As I have mentioned before, the conservatives have been ahead in the polls the past 3 elections then...the election happens and they lose. I put no faith in polls this far in advance of the election. It only shows disgruntlement and that can change quickly. Promise free drugs and a lot of folks will jump on that bandwagon. Or come up with an assisted home ownership program like they did in the 70's and poof, you are in the lead again LOL Too much can go right or wrong in the next 2 years.

  30. 1. People with legal status did these jobs before. It seems quite racist to assume only illegal migrants or Mexicans/latinos can do a certain job while other races can't. 2. Let's even assume your racist point that only latinos want to do these jobs is true. Then have latinos with legal status do them, immigrate them into the country for these jobs, put them on the books, protect the workers with labour laws. Many of these companies do not follow labour laws and the migrants have no legal recourse and companies can use their legal status to threaten and exploit them.

  31. It’s true. The GOP pretends to hate illegal immigrants but they hire millions of them. They just want to hire them and provide them no healthcare or unemployment insurance. Used to be that if a man lost his arm to unsafe factory machinery, the factory owner would just say, “Sorry, but I can’t pay you to work for me without an arm. You’re fired.” And that was the end of it.

  32. I would like the PM to finally call for a public inquiry on foreign interference. The refusal is an admission of guilt in my books. The board of directors at the Trudeau Foundation resigned over a very suspicious Chinese donation a year before JT was first elected. I don't think most Canadians are naive about our Prime Minister, or the Liberals. Or the ON PC party. I have not much faith in the CPC either. Our system is bought and paid for at every level. It needs reform. Our politicians are not ethical. The ON auditor general said the Housing Minister didn't know what their chief of staff was doing, but i don't really believe it. The developers are in tight with the PC Party.

  33. Both Liberal and conservative governments have fostered good trade relationships with China. It is better to have peace than war. As a conservative, I cannot see a republic like the US as "the best system." It is the antithesis of conservative values. Yes, they are a valuable ally and as imperial powers go, they are unique in their generosity and good intentions. But, their system of government is incomapable with ours. If you are familiar with American history, you can see how American conservatives were treated in their Revolution. Fortunately the USA of the 18th and 19th century is not the USA of the 21st century. Professor Peterson is not being prevented from publishing his mis-information. He is just not able to do it as a member of his profession. I can't say I am comfortable with that. The way to deal with a social media whore like him is the way Professor Suzuki dealt with Bill Shockley and his views on race. They engaged in a proper debate. Professor Suzuki refuted Mr. Shockley's hypothesis. Unfortunately, I suspect Professor Peterson lacks the figurative testicles to risk humiliation. I am of the opinion that he is only interested in the money he gets for being a person without any courtesy or decency.

  35. What else is new? Americans loved Kennedy, hated Nixon. Others loved Nixon, hated Kennedy. Oh, and Kennedy was shot by a communist. Americans loved Carter, hated Reagan. MOST Americans loved Reagan and hated Carter. That's the way it is in a free society, or at least the way it was before America turned into a Nazi shithole, where the opposing party LOCKS UP candidates from the opposing side.

  36. coming off the Breton Woods gold standard was rather a defensive protectionist measure for America the postwar boom was spent, competition had returned to the market thus America, as the Global Hegemon, sought a new advantage and that was to leverage access to the American markets as the new gokd the flight to quality was to America, so King Dollar became the safe haven without being pegged to gold the Federal Reserve no longer had to exchange gold for dollars at the overnight window because the global markets would accept US Dollars as being better than gold so this was America's new advantage in the wake of the postwar boom ending

  37. In the back of Mr. Poilievre's mind is the concern about peaking too early. Riding high in the polls is always a nice position, but it is where he will want to be two years from now. That is a long time to sustain momentum. Things get in the way. As Prime Minister MacMillan said of the challenges he faced, "Events, dear boy, events."

  38. Unless I'm mistaken the criticisms levelled against politicians are to be taken as tacit support for other politicians. I take the view that when the quality of the criticism is questionable it says more about the sort of leadership you can expect from the politicians that critic supports. I think that behooves politicians to come up with a better program and get their supporters to get on the same page.

  39. I apologize. I made an off-hand reference to the success all Canadian governments and parties achieved in preventing many plague deaths and the thread became mired in a fruitless agurement over vaccines that was already exhausted months ago. My understanding is this thread is supposed to be discussing the next election. Let us do so in a manner that is respectful to all of the people who make the personal sacrifices required, in order to serve the country. We can disagree with policies and ideologies without giving into personal attacks on people we disagree with. Let's aspire to debate with empathy and courtesy. Good manners are essential in civil discourse.

  41. Nope. ONLY reason to indict was Trump's INTENTION and ACTIONS TAKEN to disrupt the EC vote count on Jan 6th. It was the mob HE RECRUITED and ASSEMBLED in DC on Jan 6th that disrupted the count, according to the plan DETAILED by EASTMAN and agreed to by Trump. IF you paid ANY ATTENTION to the SWORN TESTIMONY of WH INSIDERS at the Jan 6th hearings, you would not be so ignorant about what happened.

  47. And cilinton. ALmost twice And that gave us the biggest world wide recession since the depression. The democrats are currently ONLY fixated on "lock him up". Zero policy, zero thought - in many cases zero crime, they tried to string together enough misdemenors to somehow equal a felony, like pushing together slivers of left over soap trying to make a new bar. And where they do have some possible grounds it's for things biden and hillary did as well. So of COURSE the revenge is going to be legendary. It would have anyway but this is TRUMP. And all the dems have done is give him enough free press and martyrdom material to win the next election Everyone said at the very beginning of all this "Lock trump up" nonsense that they were opening a door to a future where the party in power spends all it's time prosecuting the opposition members. And now they're going to live it, Typical bullies, they like to slap but they don't like getting slapped back.
