You're talking about a GAP that's cherry-picked from two states, and in two groups of people with different average ages. Stats are a part of what I do in my job, yes. "Stats" are easy to skew if you know what you want them to show. If I was going to do a clinical trial on my own vaccines I could definitely get the stats to yield the results that I wanted. I can pick out people who'd have good outcomes and bad outcomes vs the virus just by looking at them and so could literally anyone who knows anything about the vaccine or health in general. It's a certainty that in some individual cases you'd be slightly off, but it's also a certainty that with groups of 1,000 and 1,000 the results that I wanted to show would come out. That's why it's always best to use a large sample size which isn't cherry-picked. For example, every single person in an entire country. Like Canada. Why not use the data from every single person who has been exposed to covid? When you use "all Canadians" as your test subjects, and don't split them into groups where one is likely to be younger and healthier than the other (ie soccer players in one group, shuffleboard players in the other), you get the truest results. In this case, the results don't favor the vaccine. And TBH, when I show the stats which discredit the Pflacebo, my end goal isn't to make the case that no one should take it.
