Sad day she was a strong lady. Could of atleast had the respect to make a nicer title then this5 points

She was a great head of state who understood her role, and worked within it, so well.4 points

So if she slept with Andrew because he was a Royal, she was just a f***ing groupie. If she felt she couldn't say no because he was a Royal he was a rapist. If Epstein paid her to, he was a pimp. If she actually got paid to do him, she was a hooker If you think 17.5 is jailbait and 18.0 is just fine, you're an intransigent blockhead. Go supply your local High School with chastity belts to give out with the free condoms. The thread's about the Queen's passing not anyone else.2 points

I do not for one second believe it’s coincidence that President Trump called the largest black civil rights group to the 21st Century a “hate group”. Kayleigh quoted stupid things that two people said, out of millions of protesters in all 50 states. What did President POS Trump say about the “Unite the Right” Nazis who were protesting to keep up Confederate statues, resulting in a man driving his car into a crowd of counter-protesters? Didn’t he say there were great people on both sides? So a white supremacist rally that turns violent is ok, but a black civil rights rally is “hate speech”? I do not accept that at all.2 points

Elizabeth II ascended to the title while still of the age most people today are just leaving college. She is the last of the world leaders from "The Greatest Generation" and lived a life dedicated to and restricted by duty and responsibility. She sailed majestically through all the chaos, wars, political drama, family crisis, social change, and the rise and fall of nations. And she did it in a restrained, thoughtful and dignified manner almost completely at odds with what we see of most world leaders today. RIP to her. And God bless the King.2 points

Lake Champlain is beautiful and Starbucks Big Macs taste like overprocessed garbage. What I want to know is how on earth did he find anyone MAGA in Vermont. When I was last in Burlington, I got my hair cut. I asked my barber what she thought of Bernie Sanders. She said, “Uh, well… I’m not a big fan.” I asked her why, and she said, “When he started out, he said ‘Tax the millionaires,’ but now, he says ‘Tax the billionaires.’ “ So there you have it: Burlington, VT is too liberal for Bernie!2 points

Except that this one nuclear document is a poison pill. Isn’t it interesting that they don’t name the nation whose nuclear abilities, etc., are contained therein? Such a huge deal, and yet let’s not name the nation involved. Because, 1) the nation involved is Iran. 2) it’s nuclear abilities are directly tied to a treaty a former president gave them. Without so much as a signature from Iran. This document was put there for the FBI to find, and they took the bait.2 points

If you define "classy" as not mourning the passing of one of the most privileged people on the planet, who attained that privilege based solely on her family tree, then I guess I'm not. How many people in the British empire you think will go hungry during the time Millions of dollars will be spent on lavish funerals and memorials? This concerns me much more than the death of some rich inbread So again why should I care about the queen?1 point

Leaving the institution of monarchy aside for a moment, Britain and Canada were indeed fortunate to have had such an industrious, wise and prudent figurehead. To say she will be missed is an understatement.1 point

He is a professional. Since his birth, he has had a firm sense of duty instilled in him. People who actually know him find him very likeable andintelligent. He will be a great King. His whole life has been under the control of others. He was deprived of privacy since he was a toddler. His every action was scrutinized by the press. His life was controlled by others. He was viewed as a pawn by every major family who wanted a daughter married to the Prince of Wales and the late Princess of Wales paid the price.1 point

She was a prostitute. And Epstein paid her. She was one of the bimbos who ran around with him and who he loaned out to friends (and were quite content to be loaned out to friends). Her story has changed a dozen times since the lawyers first told her how much money she could make by cashing in on Epstein. You're acting awfully prudish for a guy who would sell his soul for a chance to have Donald Trump piss on him. Do you think he was disgusting for having sex with prostitutes, porn stars and strippers? Do you wonder why he's not in jail for paying them?1 point

That I agree with, no Charles on the money. Put the beaver from the old penny back on coins and the $20 And when there's enough opposition to the Monarchy avoid the use of Republic completely, elect the GG with zero additional powers. Sign off on shit, go to international parties and wave from the convertible, that's it.1 point
-
Not really. More to Lady Di, then we know. Charles is s very compassionate man that has done great work, and will continue. He has already started in shrinking the monarchy and as King he will make it smaller. Now with the death of the Queen, people will now find out the tireless worker for the poor, down trodden minorities and even animal rights that she was. God bless the Queen.1 point

Her first PM was Winston Churchill. Her legacy is an extraordinary Time Capsule.1 point

Ur always so full of good news. I happen to like having the monarchy. I do not like a monarchy that is anything but a figurehead for the government and on our money. Oh...and Chuck's bald-ass head will not look good on our money.1 point

But we could?? RIP to Queen Elizabeth II. She was an honourable lady and controlled that bizarre family.1 point

There's no ''if''. Charles became King on the death of the Queen. Anything else would require an act of Parliament to change the constitution.1 point

Exactly. If you read that article: “Though there aren’t specific protocols that the president must follow to declassify a document, federal courts have ruled that they will “refuse to recognize what they consider to be an inference of declassification,” McClanahan said. The U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals wrote in a 2020 decision about whether statements made by then-President Trump declassified the existence of a CIA program that “declassification, even by the president, must follow established procedures.” …to the extent that he [Trump] had any nuclear information in there, declassification would not help him in the slightest, because he would still be disseminating restricted data or moving Restricted Data,” he added. There are other federal laws in place that bar a president from taking government records, whether they are classified or declassified. “ What do I really think, personally? It truly depends upon how significant the information was. If Biden or the DoD determine that some or all of it is appropriate for declassification, then they should. And it would be best if we have some inkling of what the information is, in broad terms. Remember, too, that the Director of the FBI was selected and appointed by Donald Trump. As for Bannon going to prison? Yes, he’s a damn crook, and he belongs in jail. As for Democrats going to prison? Sure, if they break laws. Definitely! Any American can stand up and say, “I’m a Democrat!!” Just like that. And I don’t think that you should be immune from laws because you call yourself a Democrat or because you get elected. Congressmen, Judges and Presidents should be held to HIGHER standards, not lower standards.1 point

A) You can’t point us to a Federal Law which says a President can declassify any information without notifying anyone. Too bad you can’t figure out how stupid that is. For instance, it means the rest of the government assumes an undercover operative is safe, when his identity has actually been exposed. B ) Executive Privilege hasn’t been ruled on for ex-Presidents because it does not exist. MAGA thinks Donald Trump can break any law he wants. But the truth is, he can’t. His crony Bannon’s going to prison. A former President is just another US citizen. He has zero exemptions from any laws, although he probably gets though customs faster.1 point

Why single out Pelosi? Isn’t it clear that Congress should pass anti insider trader laws which affect all congresspeople?1 point

Of course it’s relevant. The point is that the lawyer signed the statement on behalf of the client she represents. Her crime is his crime. In fact, all she has to do is say, “I asked my boss if he still had any of these documents, and he said No,” and she’s off the hook. But nothing gets Trump off the hook; his legal representative signed that document on his behalf. So it’s legally the same as if Trump himself signed.1 point

Mr. Poilievre is un-tried. You state he's "all flash and no bang" . . . . how did you come to your conclusion? Why would Mr. Poilievre, or any opposition candidate completely lay out their plans to fix the existing governments failure in the economy, overspending, Covid matters, climate, etc.? Do you not think that the appalling existing Federal Government of Trudeau/Singh wouldn't implement good ideas from the opposition? Learn to spell . . Poilievre.1 point

Can you write anything that isn’t an outright lie? “At least one lawyer for former President Donald Trump signed a written statement in June [3rd] asserting that all material marked as classified and held in boxes in a storage area at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence and club had been returned to the government.” https://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/nationworld/ct-aud-nw-nyt-trump-material-returned-20220813-raubhojynvhg7mrl7dnpn4og3a-story.html This article lists the entire chain of events. You can find this information corroborated by many media outlets. The attorney who signed this was Christina Bobb, who represents Trump and is listed as the Custodian of his records. Her sworn statement is Trump’s; that’s how the law works. She signed on his behalf, placing herself and Da Boss in jeopardy of Obstruction of Justice charges. She can kiss her law career goodbye. Then again, that’s what happens to pretty much every lawyer who works for the man, and it should be obvious that it’s because Trump pressures his lawyers to break the law in his behalf.1 point

This reminds me a lot of when Trump was saying "I didn't collude with Russia", because he knew all along that he didn't collude with Russia, but Dems and their MSM were all saying: "TRUMP IS A LIAR! WE KNOW THAT HE COLLUDED WITH RUSSIA!". Now everyone on earth knows that Trump was telling the truth and the MSM and Dems were lying, and the FBI was committing crimes and abusing their power. This is another scenario where Trump knows what's going on and the MSM is pretending that they know best and Trump is a liar. This is supposed to drag on until after the mid-terms, and the damage is done, then it will fold like a cheap tent. I don't think that it will be so easy to prove FBI malfeasance this time, all they really need is 1 page from 1 doc to make the claim that they had a right to be there.1 point

Then there's a show like Ms Marvel. An MCU show about a Muslim teen who gets Super Powers from a family relic which actually has quite positive reviews. https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/ms_marvel/s01 I didn't make it past the first episode, not my thing, but def not a bomb. The race of the characters in question have little baring on the quality of this particular show, unless you get upset about seeing POC on a show based on a fiction that didn't previously have them.1 point

That's also character development from a character who's lived a further several thousand years where the Rings of Power are a thing. Corrupting is what the ring does. Gandalf also won't touch it in Fellowship. This Series takes place before all that. She's only motivated by Revenge by the death of her brother by the hands of Sauron. Is Legolas also a Mary Sue? Because the only thing, based on the first two Episodes, that would indicate that is her easily defeating a Troll in the first few minutes of the pilot.1 point

Oh FFS. Everybody pays taxes. You can not designate where your tax money goes. Quebecer and Newfie people pay taxes and the province gets equalization payments. Provinces do not pay taxes, they collect it, people pay taxes. Oh FFS!!! "Equalization is financed by the Government of Canada from general revenues, which are largely raised through federal taxes. Provincial governments make no contributions to the Equalization program. All Canadians are subject to the same federal income tax system and its progressive rate structure, regardless of where they live." https://www.canada.ca/en/department-finance/programs/federal-transfers/equalization.html1 point
