It’s time for Biden/Trudeau to approve keystone, and rescind their restrictions on energy production. It’s time to put Russia out of business.2 points

When the people fear the government, it is tyranny. When the government fears the people, it is democracy. Pretty much most Canadians do fear the government and this is why the government can get away with what they keep doing to us. The truckers convoy put the fear in the likes of Marxist Trudeau/Freeland and his/her Marxist ilk and the WEF. The sad part is that most people do not want to get involved in politics. And because of the lazy or who gives a care attitude by most people we have a government that runs circles around us every day and laughs at us all. This is why it is very important to get involved in politics. Nobody likes politics but we the peasants must get involved. The pro WEF liberal party is full of a bunch of traitors to Canada. The NDP is nothing more than a communist party. They have been trying for years to get rid of the senate. And if they ever did take power, the senate would be the first outfit to go. For a party like the NDP that always says that they are here for we the peasants is total bull chit. The NDP only believes in more government, more taxes, and less freedom. The NDP supported the Emergency Marxist Act. We must never believe our lying politicians and the lying media anymore. Every time there is a crisis created over something we seem to lose more freedom because new laws are created to try and stifle even more of our rights and freedoms as a result of some created crisis. Covid was not a crisis. Climate change is not a crises but we have been led to believe that those two alone were a crisis. We the peasants have no idea as to what this Russian/Ukranian crisis is really all about. The rumor I last read was that Putin was being threatened by NATO and NATO wanted Ukraine to join NATO. If Ukraine joined NATO that would put NATO on Russia's doorstep. A big threat to Russia and Putin. Putin would have none of that. Putin was not going to allow NATO to take Ukraine. This is a battle between Russia and NATO. This is just another one of those created crisis for the world to once again have to deal and live with. And we the peasants lose again thanks to those puppet on a string politicians and those great reset globalists who pull their strings. Aw well, this is what happens when we the peasants sit back and do nothing and allow others to run and control our peasantry lives. We the peasants is the problem. ?2 points

I don’t really care about your take because all the way along you ignore or downplay clear issues. I’m not into conspiracies. This situation is there for all to see. The evidence is too compelling to ignore. At the very least, we know 1. Secret activities at Canadian virology lab where Chinese virologists worked and moved between this lab and the Wuhan lab before they were fired without explanation to the Canadian public. 2. Admission from Klaus Schwab of World Economic Forum of “penetrating” more than half the Canadian Cabinet. 3. Refusal by federal government leader Trudeau to even discuss the removal of vaccine mandates and passports in Parliament during a major protest of vaccine mandates and at a time when most of our allies are dropping vaccine mandates and restrictions. 4. Draconian treatment of protesters of vaccine mandates, including thousands of peaceful protesters, with the implementation of the Emergencies Act and freezing of banking accounts of supporters of the protest. Also an attempt to make those powers over personal finances, including crypto currencies, permanent. 5. The ignoring by the Speaker of the House of a question from an MP in the House of Commons regarding the involvement of the WEF. 6. The continued refusal by PM to even discuss the plan for removing vaccine passports after major social unrest and implementation of the Emergencies Act. 7. Apparent political interference by Freeland with Canada’s major national newspaper, The Globe and Mail. 8. The refusal of CBC and other government funded Canadian media to report fairly on the general positive and inclusive tone among demonstrators. 9. The PM’s description of the unvaccinated and their supporters as racists and misogynists, saying they have unacceptable views and asking, “Do we make space for these people?” 10. Trudeau’s apparent ignoring of international condemnation of his extreme government overreach. 11. The timing of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, another emergency, with the attempted implementation of martial law by the Canadian government after blockades and trucks were removed. I could point to other questionable behaviour, but this is all deeply troubling.2 points

Well as crazy as it sounds, if the WEF is under China’s control, which appears likely, and the Canadian Cabinet is under the control of the WEF, which foreign WEF representative Klaus Schwab has stated (on video), then the Canadian Cabinet has been taken over by a foreign power. That means that the Liberal government is working without the mandate of the people, as the WEF wasn’t elected by the Canadian people. If this is so, our Governor General must dissolve Parliament to force an election. It also may mean that our military has to be informed in order to protect Canadians. It may require the assistance of NATO allies. It’s particularly concerning as our government is making critical decisions about how to proceed in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the potential additional damage to NATO member states. We already see the infliction of suffering by Russia on Ukraine, which Russia has to answer for to the Ukrainian people. In this context Trudeau’s attempt to maintain the Emergencies Act by having Parliament approve it makes more sense. Thank God that the Senate didn’t approve it. It appears that the Senate really does play an important role as a check on executive power. Now I hope we will see the value of having a Governor General/Queen who can act when the majority of Parliament (now the Trudeau Liberals with NDP support) are working against the interests of the Canadian people. I hope our NATO allies see what’s going on. I hope our Supreme Court sees what’s going on. I hope our Senate sees what’s going on. I hope our Governor General sees what’s going on. I think most of our opposition see what’s going on, though it’s hard to tell, as some Conservatives did support the Emergencies Act. We don’t know why. Maybe they believed the convoy posed a legitimate threat or maybe they’re compromised too. I realize that this must be handled carefully given the current crisis with Russia. We have also seen Freeland’s apparent influence over major Canadian press, as indicated in an article I already shared. I don’t have time to reshare all of the information already presented on here in the last many pages, so I hope people are alert and taking all this in.2 points

I doubt it will have any major effect. Trudeau will win the next election. For one, the opposition is a screwed up mess that doesnt inspire confidence they can unite a party, let alone lead a country. If the CPC had a charismatic leader who stabilized the party, it would be a different story right now. Harper had good hair. For two, most people are apathetic about politics and think the government did the right thing. Problem solved, all’s well again. As long as they still have beer and smokes.2 points

This must still be talked about until all covid mandates are lifted and eliminated. The only way for everyone in Canada to be able to get back to the good old normal days and regain our rights and freedoms is to get rid of all covid mandates. Until then the talk and walk will continue on. If you do not like it, well, too bad for you. Live with it. ?1 point

Judging our military based on spending as a % of GDP or gross amount is deceptive, because salaries are such a big part of it. Russia spends 3x what we do yet they have 20x the troops. We should look at our number of troops, planes, ships etc per capita vis a vis other allies and rivals. And yea the other issue as noted is that spending doesn't equal effectiveness if you are wasteful...1 point

It’s insane that government-mandated training, even at the provincial level, involves reading cultural Marxists like Ibrahim Kendi. And if you oppose it publicly….Yup, you’re a “racist” with “unacceptable views”. It’s the Maoist cultural Revolution in Canada, and Trudeau-Freeland want woke fascism enforced through the digital vax pass and social credit. It’s China with a woke twist. From here you can keep families apart, prevent Christmas celebrations, shut down churches (ignore when they’re burned down), stoke racial divisions by teaching children that white people are oppressors and people of colour are victims, expand assisted suicide, strip freedom from the unvaccinated and anyone who doesn’t comply with government mandated behaviour, including taking away their right to work and throwing them in jail (Freeland wants the permanent ability to freeze the bank accounts of political opponents), control press, ban unacceptable views. We’re just awakening to the horror of plans for the a new fascism. Freeland is heavily embedded in the press. It’s reported that her grandfather ran a Ukrainian newspaper in support of Nazism. This is very serious, a kind of digital Holocaust 2.0, a prison without walls as you lose your ability to function in society by having unacceptable views. Bill Maher noticed. Musk noticed and commented in his meme. This is an existential threat to Canadian sovereignty and democracy. Trudeau won’t even discuss a plan for removing vaccine mandates and digital vax passes. Do we now know why?1 point

Yup. You think Russia and China are going to stop building pipelines because “climate change”? Lol. Our government would rather cripple our economy through cutting energy supply, adding carbon taxes, and maintaining unscientific vaccine mandates that throw truck drivers out of work to unnecessarily raise the cost of goods and their delivery. So stupid. Oh and if anyone complains about it, try to impose martial law to throw political opponents in jail and seize their bank accounts. China and Russia are laughing at the woke green idiots and selling more energy to the world than ever. Keep asking Russia and the Saudis to pump more oil, Joe. They’re loving it. MH comes on here just to try and piss members off especially if they are of the conservative freedom loving kind. No doubt MH is a huge fan and supporter of comrade Trudeau who also enjoys trying to piss all Canadians off. Of course, I could be wrong and maybe MH is instead an ardent supporter of the NDP communist party. Hey, we never know, eh? I am pretty sure today that Marxist Trudeau is really licking his wounds and is really pissed off that he had to back off and reverse his Emergency Marxist Act. At Large Trudeau Is Now an Authoritarian The liberties guaranteed by the Canadian Constitution are now subject to his veto. by Shmuel Klatzkin February 19, 2022, 11:05 PM Hot Off The Press King Charles ignored constitutional limits on his power and thereby ignited a civil war that cost him his life and put England under a military dictatorship for more than a decade. The profound constitutionalist John Selden reflected on this shortly after the king’s execution and before the eventual restoration of the constitution after Oliver Cromwell’s death: There is no stretching of power; it is a good rule — eat within your stomach, act within your commission. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau certainly is acting like someone who has eaten more than his stomach can hold, as well as far exceeding his commission. Brian Peckford, former premier of Newfoundland, certainly feels so and had begun taking action even before the truckers began their now-famous protests in Ottawa, at the Ambassador Bridge, and at other places throughout Canada. Peckford was one of the authors of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, Canada’s equivalent of the Bill of Rights, which was joined to the Canadian Constitution in 1982. He is the leading spokesman of a group filing suit in Canada against one of the many acts of constitutional overreach: the severe restrictions the Trudeau minority government imposed on travel. The charter states in section 6: Every citizen of Canada has the right to enter, remain in and leave Canada. Every citizen of Canada and every person who has the status of a permanent resident of Canada has the right to move to and take up residence in any province… The Canadian Constitution does provide ways that its Parliament or its provincial legislatures can specifically override this. Peckford argues, however, that no such niceties were observed and that therefore the regulations imposed are invalid, unconstitutional infringements of Canadians’ liberties. Overreaching governments often respond by claiming that their unique knowledge and capabilities are sufficient justification for their actions. They seek not only ratification of their actions from those whose powers they have taken, but to establish a precedent — the constitution will no longer bind them from any exercise of power it deems appropriate and necessary. The result of this is clear. The liberties guaranteed by a constitution are now subject to the government’s veto. Effectively, the subjects (no longer citizens) now have only such rights as the government chooses to allow them. This means that government is no longer by the consent of the governed. To the contrary: individual rights are by the consent of a government answerable only to its own conception of its power. Peckford was one of the political elite, but one who was and is dedicated to the principles of Western democracy. He is forceful and eloquent; hear him out in a brilliant interview with the incandescent Jordan Peterson (start listening just shy of minute 11). But as we have seen in the past few weeks, the peaceful protests against overreach and the trampling of liberties have burst out among the not-so-elite. Not the kings of the keyboards, not the members of the chattering class, but the people who make the country work, led by the truckers. Something about this assertion of rights has offended Trudeau. His personality does not seem up to the task that he campaigned for and won. He looks like someone not quite adult, knowing it, and overcompensating. Watching him always gave the feeling of watching someone trying too hard to be someone other than he is. That was when all he faced was the normal polite opposition offered in Canadian politics. Respect for the law comes naturally in a nation whose founders descended from United Empire Loyalists — those who maintained their allegiance to the British crown while America asserted its independence. Canadians achieved their own independence in a different, slower, more orderly and peaceful way, and all those qualities of peacefulness, order, and respect for law are part of the civilizational sparkle of the land of the loon and the maple leaf. But the oppressive overreach of Trudeau’s COVID restrictions, far exceeding anything justified by the data and the science, went too far and continued too long to be mistaken by a large part of the regular working people of Canada as anything other than an assault on their rights and thus of their human dignity. They rose up peacefully, and, emulating Martin Luther King Jr.’s method of resisting unconstitutional restrictive laws, practiced non-violent civil disobedience in a way that awoke widespread support and international attention. Trudeau began his version of respectful dialogue with his aggrieved subjects by labeling their views, without exception, as “unacceptable.” Of course, anyone, who opposes the Great Leader must be on the fringe, with no right to petition and be heard. In the prime minister’s own words, they are “very often misogynistic, racist, women-haters, science-deniers, the fringe.” He let that stand as his only characterization of the protesters. A promising invitation to a national dialogue. Trudeau then disappeared from view, perhaps believing that the fundamental laws of reality had been so deeply breached by the protest that some natural cataclysm was in order. Perhaps the earth would open and swallow the protesters like it had swallowed up Korach and his crew of dissidents in the Bible. As followers of Trudeau’s dad might have said — wow! Even Richard Nixon made his way out of the White House to speak to protesters and hear them out. Trudeau seems to fall short of Nixon — with all his paranoia and tics, a most modest measure to fall short of. Not content with the infringements of liberties he has already imposed, Trudeau doubled down and imposed emergency powers intended for times of war, insurrection, or an equivalent existential threat. He threatened seizure of the truckers’ livelihood, imprisonment, and barring them from their chosen work. The posturing of Charlie Chaplin in The Great Dictator is coming to mind. But Trudeau knows how to spin things when an unpleasant truth is starting to come out: he projects the fascist mindset he has embraced onto those who oppose him politically (see Hillary Clinton’s similar response to the Durham filing for another classic example of this). Not once does he speak of any of the protesters as anything other than swastika-bearing enemies of all that is good, utterly to be excluded from any meaningful political rights. His power, his actions state, is not at the service of the people; the people can be utterly excluded as he sees fit. All Nazis. Trudeau took this a little further last week. On the floor during a session of the House of Commons, a Jewish Member of Parliament, Melissa Lantsman, a member of the Conservative opposition, sharply criticized Trudeau’s invocation of unprecedented emergency powers. The grim prime minister replied: “Conservative Party members can stand with people who wave swastikas, they can stand with people who wave the Confederate flag.” He was met with outraged shouts of “Shame!” Lantsman stood to take formal exception to Trudeau’s remarks as a breach of order and demanded an apology: I am a strong Jewish woman and a member of this House and a descendant of Holocaust survivors and … it’s never been singled out, and I’ve never been made to feel less except for today, when the prime minister accused me of standing with swastikas. I think he owes me an apology. I’d like an apology and I think he owes an apology to all members of this House. But Trudeau had already left the House. Why does anyone who is so completely right and who holds the highest power have to listen to criticism? They are the Nazis! He probably believes that he believes it — except that every act of petulance, contempt, and overreach shows him to be just a very small man who prefers power to responsibility. He has eaten more than his belly can contain, Selden would say. There are a lot of Canadians who will now have their say. A fresh wind is blowing from the north and it is reminding people all over the world of just how precious liberty is. The people will have their say and it can’t come too soon. https://spectator.org/trudeau-is-now-an-authoritarian/1 point

With the latest breaking news out of the Ukraine, we should blame leftists for inevitable inflation that comes out of this. On both sides of the border they've blocked safe and effective pipeline projects which would've went along way to solving supply issues and made us less reliant on Russia or the Middle East for essentials like oil and gas. Yes. It does sound crazy. I stopped reading after this sentence because the WEF and Klaus Schwab continue the fine tradition of conspiracy bogeymanning. Whether it's the Jews, the Illuminati, George Soros, Satanic Pedophile Cults or now this, there's always something to serve as the foundation for fantastical conspiracy theories. You've probably noticed that when you try to explain this stuff to the average person, they either throw it back in your face as nonsense or awkwardly look away and try not to engage. If you're already prone to swallowing this sort of bunk, however, then you just sort of accept it all. Klaus Schwab mentioned that Trudeau and Freeland went through the WEF's young global leader program, so that's "proof" that the WEF controls Canada, and if we assume that China controls the WEF then that means China controls Canada. Wow. The gaping chasms of logic you leapt to come up with any of those ideas are actually worrying, and I don't say that just to troll. I say that because it's hard to find common ground to debate when the basis for your worldviews is stuff like that.0 points

You’re absolutely right. Shutting down safe, reliable, abundant energy supply is one of the main reasons for hyperinflation and our vulnerability to foreign powers. The “climate emergency” has been hyped to justify further inflation through carbon taxes and curtailing of pipelines. Pipelines of course are cleaner and safer energy delivery than trucks and trains, but the foolish narrative sold by the Trudeau-NDP Liberals and Biden Dems has landed us in this mess, not to mention sick totalitarian notions like Great Reset, which our government is trying to impose without the consent of the people. I mean, who would knowingly and willingly choose to be enslaved? The pandemic has also been used to justify further government overreach and ideological overspending that has nothing to do with sensible public health measures.0 points
