I wish you could learn that the MSM are 100% dishonest and devious. What TRUMP said is that he would be a dictator on day one of his Presidential term FOR ONE DAY ONLY. On his first day back in office Trump said he would only be a dictator in TWO respects.: (1) In restoring America's free access to its own oil/gas natural energy reserves ("Drill -Baby-Drill)" and I forget the other one (it was probably to do with re-securing the Southern Border) When Trump said," I will be a "Dictator" (on day one of his new administration)(using the term as a metaphor for "absolutely authoritative/decisive") in making sure these two things are done. You know, you really shouldn't watch the liberal MSM, buddy..All you're getting 90+% of the time is pure bullshit and twisted disinformation. Dachshund3 points

Too bad for the Big Fat Orange Man, the FBI videotaped their entire search and they meticulously entered each document into evidence. The numerical order of the envelopes hardly makes him innocent. “Your honor, my client had the stolen nuclear codes, but they were in envelope six, not envelope seven, so he is innocent.” You’re a fool if you think that gets him off the hook.2 points

Let me ask you something: If the cops get a warrant based on probable cause to search a drug dealer’s home for cocaine, and they find 20 ten pound bricks of cocaine at the dealers home, and videotape the entire search, does it matter whether they stack the cocaine in the same order as they found it? If they number the bricks 1-20 and they switch the labels of cocaine bricks 3 and 4, why would that matter at all?2 points

I understand just fine. He is praising his wife for her contributions to their family and his success. Nowhere did he tell women to get back into the kitchen. The issue is not my intelligence here, it is your dishonesty.2 points

So... where does he tell women to stay in the kitchen? Seriously, this thread title is a lie. This article is trash and little more than a troll job.2 points

Why does the sequence of the documents even matter? Obviously they did a cursory examination to determine content and just put them back into the boxes. What's far more egregious is the OBVIOUS slow rolling of this case by the rookie judge who's already been slapped down twice by the 11th Appeals court for SLOW ROLLING the case with an unwarranted "special master" order.2 points

Autocrats in China, Russia are now making common cause with MAGA Republicans to discredit liberalism and freedom around the world. MAGA Republicans are dupes of authoritarians of many stripes in a plot to destroy democracy. Trump's MAGA CULT is now a tool to destroy the FREEDOM Republicans have long defended.1 point

Trump has said repeatedly that he'd debate Brandon anytime anywhere anyplace. Now...ignoring the poor English (anywhere and anyplace being the same thing) the challenge has been accepted. https://www.npr.org/2024/05/15/1251520721/biden-proposes-debates-in-june-and-september-and-names-terms-trump-says-yes QUESTION: Will the Libbies actually allow Brandon to drag his addled old arse on stage to debate Trump? I say "No". I think that as June progresses, the Libbies will panic and find some lame-ass excuse why he can't. Bird Flu maybe? I don't know what the excuse will be but, if they let this happen, Brandon will flounder, Trump will pounce on his inability and the world will witness it. Oh and Harris is supposed to debate whoever is Trump's VP running mate. LOL...THAT will be one not to miss. Let the feathers fly...1 point

From what I've read, the statute of limitations on misdemeanours in NY is 2 yrs and for felonies it's 5 years, except for extremely serious crimes like murder and rape. The last payment was in 2016, so it's well beyond the NY State statute of limitations. From what I've heard there's still a possibility for a federal case, but the NY State court can't handle that one. I haven't followed this closely because it's just another witch hunt, but that's what I've heard.1 point

Canadian so maybe i don't fit your criteria but..... Your question is a little disingenuous. No matter what candidates are put forward, there will always be opinions one way or another. Many Americans are genuinely concerned about trump's obvious instabilities. While his time in office actually was a fairly good time for America in general, it was extremely divisive and there was a lot of turmoil. Some people feel that's undesirable. There are also a lot of people that believe in Biden spending. I personally believe that doing so means that you are destroying those people's future as well as the future of the young people who have not yet come of age. But not everyone holds those beliefs. In any case it is important that we respect each other's beliefs and decisions. It's something that has been falling by the wayside. Just because you and I may see things differently than Biden supporters doesn't mean that they don't have valid points or that their own thinking is invalid or a sign of a lesser mind. It just means that they have different thoughts, priorities, beliefs. We should argue against them and make our case but It's wrong to say that there is absolutely no possible reason to vote for Biden and by doing so is a mental health issue. I mean it's probably true but it's still wrong to say it. they are just1 point

An actual crime is making millions of dollars in league with China while you're supposed to be the VPOTUS. Banging a porn-star is no big deal to grown men. They did not just chose not to, they went to war against Israel with the purpose of destroying them. Israel fought for their survival. You call that "forcing their coexistence" well duh. Just come out and say it, you wanted Israel to get wiped out in 1948 and all the Jews killed. Didn't you?1 point

You have got to be kidding me. If you were actually capable of putting on a pair of Palestinian's shoes you would know this without even using to ask. You precluded having to do that by utterly dehumanizing Palestinians. The way Israel was created is what started things. We're clearly not on the same page or reading from the same book. I figure I might as well post this here since it bears on the whole DEI antiracism bullshit currently a requirement of seemingly every federal government policy, decision, initiative or program now. You thought all this stuff could be held to the universities? No, it moved down into the K-12 school system, with kids being taught they're oppressors or oppressed. But the DEI fanatics don't want to leave any possible stone unturned. Now, with the aid of the federal government's new daycare system, they want to make daycare centres 'antiracist'. How do you do this? Why, by subjecting all staff to reeducation programs that would have pleased any apparatchik in Mao's cultural revolution. In March, the Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care held a national webinar on “Creating an Anti-Racist Child Care System in Canada,” which highlighted its three-year project, funded by the federal government, on how to make childcare “anti-racist.” The organization advocates, among other things, “mandatory anti-racism training as part of membership in the College of ECE.” Another recommendation is to have education programs for childcare workers that “demonstrate a commitment” to decolonization and include “a mandatory course on anti-racist pedagogy” and course materials from Black, Indigenous and racialized theorists. The activists also make recommendations to childcare operators, such as “ongoing anti-racism, inclusion and equity training” for staff, “ongoing training and coaching to develop and implement anti-racist, inclusive pedagogy” and creating an “advisory committee that includes Black, Indigenous and racialized community members.” Activists look to turn daycares into woke indoctrination camps | National Post1 point

I never said statscan was a blog, nor did I say that the surveys they quoted weren't research. You're just lying and making shit up now to argue against....AGAIN! 🤣 I said that statscan didn't provide any productivity data. Surveying employees on how much better/harder they feel they perform working from home is the same thing as asking them if they prefer to work from home. I love when you try to wrap everything up like this: "Having pissed and shit all over myself, the evidence is quite clear. I declare myself the winner of this debate. The smell speaks for itself." 🤡🤡🤡1 point

Your response is dishonest twaddle. You want to play it both ways. You pretend to respect expertise when it's convenient, but when it contradicts your politics you pretend that we shouldn't put stock in the science. Pick a lane. Or better yet, let information dictate your politics rather than trying to have your politics dictate information. The latter doesn't work and you jus tend up looking foolish in the process. And, again, relying on actual authority is not fallacious. Since you apparently refuse to educate yourself, here comes the airplane... Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy ^^Oh noes! Authoritative sources that explicitly contradict your argument! What will you choose? A. Learn something and STFU about "appeal to authority" B. Pretend we can't trust these authoritative sources, quadruple down on your misapplication of the term and dishonestly keep at it Based on the past few pages, I have my guess, but every now and then someone surprises me by being decent.1 point

Or I've never taken inappropriate showers with my kids... I don't sniff kids' hair or kiss them on the mouth, either. That's all pretty basic. 99% of people in North America get a pass on that. The other 1% need to be supervised when they're around children.1 point

It is funny how hard you are trying to play this off. A parent can bathe their child. They are usually not naked in the tub with them, and they are usually not naked with them when they are old enough to have a diary and be self-aware enough to question how appropriate it is. If your kid is old enough to wonder if your showers with them are appropriate, they are not. This is an easy thing to admit. It's sad that you feel the need to defend it. I have run out of giving likes for today. LOL I would have liked this.1 point

if the child then or later feels that the parent was behaving 'inappropriately' then it's an issue. She was quite clear. It was 'likely inappropriate'. She's an adult, she knows what happened, shes fully qualified to make that statement considering it was her body. So.1 point

Maybe I'm not bright enough to see this at first glance so I'll be the dummy who asks the question: If medical personnel shortages are the primary contributor to wait times, I don't see how the creation of a parallel system with personnel drawn from the original one alleviates it. I'm not opposed to it, but If the number of patients, the number of doctors and the associated workload is quantifiable, and support facilities (operating theatres, hospital beds etc) are finite, how does shuffling doctors from public to private and private to public decrease wait times? If the concept is based on the assumption that a private system would be more streamlined and efficient by virtue of a profit motive and case load efficiency would increase as a result of that, then I don't see how that happens in less time than it would take to step up training and streamline processes within our existing system. And even if the profit motive increased access to infrastructure (over time), wouldn't the ratio of those able to afford private care vs those who couldn't remain (essentially) the same thus setting an availability ceiling of its own? If you have 10 airplanes and 10 pilots, paying half of the pilots more by raising the cost of a ticket for half of the passengers doesn't make the planes fly faster, burn less gas, or need less maintenance... does it? I'd say you need bigger faster aircraft with more available seat miles and the limiting factor would be the number of people willing/able to pay big bucks for cold food and hot flight attendants. As it stands now, there are already people jumping the cue by having preferred access, college and professional athletes don't wait 3 years for knee surgery, neither do military members treated outside the military medical system. You see the specialist next week, not next year and everybody else waits longer as a result of it. No?1 point

Inappropriate showers as a young teen, or young child... Is one better than the other? You choose. Looks like many people get scraps from the public health care system. Why not allow people who can afford it to get private care in Canada and eliminate the waiting lists in the public system. Then nobody would get "scraps".1 point

UN is now reporting new revised estimates of person killed in the conflict, almost 1/2 of what Hamas have reported... So what does this all mean, well once again the Hamas propaganda machine is alive and well, it also means that here in the west and around the world a good chunk of our population are very gullible... first to believe anything from a terrorist regime should have been a huge red flag...., second Hamas knew they could play them like a fiddle because they controlled the info going in and out of Gaza, higher numbers means more readers and sympathy ... and they counted on global hate or distrust of Israel and it would be easy to fool those that so much hate or dislike for Israel to paint them as the bad guys...
