  1. Does it matter? Are we only allowed to comment on things that affect us personally?

  2. Negligible to you maybe but not to women seeing all their hopes and work going up in smoke because they now have to compete against men in a woman's sport. Not dumb at all to them or anyone else that thinks women's sport should be for women.

  4. I figured now would be a good time to start digging into the bullshit that is leftism/wokeness in terms of election fraud, and what better place to start than the 2020 rigging? From Conservapedia: "When Democrats want to tilt elections in their favor outside the ballot box, Marc Elias of Perkins Coie is the go-to guy. Perkins Coie is the Democratic law firm, paid by the Hillary Clinton campaign, that hired Fusion GPS to dig up dirt on Donald Trump in 2016. They failed, but still compiled the Steele dossier full of foreign-solicited lies about Trump and Russia, which was leaked by Obama intelligence officials to try to sabotage the new president's administration, sow doubt in his election victory, and invalidate the votes of 63 million Americans. From Wisconsin to Nevada, to California, Marc Elias and the Democrats pushed lawsuits disguised as “election reform” to water down important election safeguards and increase the opportunity for fraud, abuse, and corruption" Now dig in, and don't be shy - this is a safe space.

  5. Thing is - no you didn't. Trudeau had very specific plans, very specific promises, very detailed committments. FIrst 4 years he'd go over budget by 10 billion for the first three then back to balance. Last election ever with First past the post. An end to the housing unaffordability crisis. "Investments" in infrastructure that would pay for themselves in increased commerce. We will meet our paris committments which are specifically detailed. . etc etc etc. Nothing vague about it. And none of it happened. Your problem is you backed a Liar who had no intent of delivering on anything. And conservatives TOLD you what he was promising wasn't real. And what he WAS going to deliver on (carbon tax etc) would dramatically raise the price of everything. we told you that "prime minister" isn't an entry level job - and he just wasn't ready for the job yet. You didn't listen. Look what we've got. Now we'll put PP in place and we'll get some real work done. And you'll still be making excuses for justin

  6. I think there's more you need to learn about ethics and principles like the ones demonstrated by friends of peace activist Vivian Silver who was killed on Oct 7th. "We all promised to continue her journey. If she was here with us, she would have told us not to loose hope and to continue what we started doing together," https://www.reuters.com/world/the-peace-movement-was-orphaned-says-son-activist-killed-oct-7-2023-11-16/#:~:text=GEZER%2C Israel%2C Nov 16 (,Hamas militants on Oct. 7. History that doesn't take things like ethics into account is mostly garbage when cited as justifications for present behaviour and action. Britain had no business making a promise like this to anyone without asking the people who already lived there how they felt about it. Is there anything in the historical record that indicates this happened or did the Balfour Declaration also allow the subjugation of the locals with impunity?

  7. You can certainly blame him for the last eight years of ever-increasing numbers of immigrants, foreign workers, foreign student-workers, and refugees. For years now we've been told by those who support high immigration that it's a huge boon to our economy. Well, as the numbers have grown the economy has stagnated, and is now failing. Our standard of living has been going steadily down compared to other Western countries. And our social cohesion has been breaking down as our sense of shared values and identity disappears. As foreign communities here have grown in strength and power they've flexed their electoral muscles, not on behalf of what they believe will improve life in Canada but on behalf of their former homelands. Which is why we see Trudeau desperately trying to please Muslim voters without going too far so as to turn off their more traditionalist base. It's also why instead of seeing increased economic ties with the world's most populace nation Trudeau has spent the last eight years catering to Sikh separatists in Canada in order to earn their loyalty and votes, even though this has earned India's enmity. And how will this proceed if such a high volume of immigrants continues? How much more electoral power will they have to vote in governments that favor their homelands rather than what is best for Canada?

  8. Incorrect. The issue is about women's safety and women's rights. One individual has done his best to either end it or turn it to something else, with little success.

  10. Ethnic cleansing so determined that the population of the Palestinian territories has doubled in the last 30 years. It seems those darn Jews aren't very good at ethnic cleansing. As for calling them 'colonialists', when they've been in that region for thousands of years, that's just ignorant. Self-determination under Hamas means an Islamic state, and a determination to rid Israel of all Jews. Evidently, this is something you favour. Your neighbor hates your guts and wants to murder you and your family. And nothing is going to change his mind because it's driven by religious fanaticism. Do you want to try to control how much heavy weaponry he has at his disposal or not?

  14. Nietzsche really. Still, you were close! Ok, let's say there was a really big bowl of soup, and there was a fly in it. How much fly is acceptable to you? I can add more soup to it if you like. No? I see. You cannot digest that soup, no matter how little fly is in it. The very idea of fly parts in your meal is simply unpalatable. It is an irritant at any level. That is why we can't stop talking about this issue.

  22. But Israelis do much the very same thing whenever they expand their settlement of occupied Palestinian territory - this is why people say Oct 7 didn't happen in a vacuum. Choosing to completely dismiss and ignore this is why it'll keep happening. Irradicating Hamas won't change things it'll simply perpetuate them.

  23. LOL! Sure it's plain as day ? Cite. ? Cite...for this... i've been screaming about the need to address the situation here since long before i got here and regularly here. So pretending it's the first time i've raised it is completely dishonest ? Lost my shit.... ? The reason I don't think you care is that you're irredeemably deplorable - it's a badge of honor remember? I'm not on board with you anymore than I am Trudeau. I'm on board with the NDP when it comes to better taxation and investigating other causes of inflation. Trudeau's methods result in a widening income and wealth gap that is unconscionable in times like these. I see little reason not to believe the times will remain just as unconscionable under Poilievre.

  24. Its weird how so many people were routinely cancelled for uttering any of the above for decades. How do you get away with it? Its like this phenomenon that's causing bin Laden's thoughts to resonate with people these days. I've long wondered if it might be something as simple and tragic as being slower to do anything about all the lead in its gasoline than other countries. The peer-reviewed study published by the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) journal discovered childhood exposure to leaded gasoline cost the U.S. a deficit of at least 824 million IQ points, or approximately 2.6 points per American. https://globalnews.ca/news/8673079/lead-gas-american-iq-study/

  26. Who is this "NOBODY" you talk about, i see plenty of posters wanting to discuss it in more detail.. anyways, you spent almost 36 posts on this very topic, for a person who did not want to discuss it in any detail you've spent a lot of time and effort on it.... If we are to only discuss topics that only personally involve us, i think the entire forum could be reduced to one page...maybe Greg could change the format...for you that is...

  29. That's a massive stretch. Trump having the documents wouldn't have been a very big deal (aside from the hypocrisy). When Biden and Pence and their reps discovered classified documents they immediately took action to remediate the situation and, as always, no consequences beyond embarrassment. Trump, in contrast, lied, denied refused to return and even tried to hide the documents from authorities. All while showing them off to random people who had no clearance, seemingly to stroke his own ego. Trump isn't in trouble for the (apparently alarmingly common) mishandling of classified documents. He's in actual trouble for everything he did afterward. Hence the false equivalency.

  36. No I’m saying your claims about socialism are made up. That is a perfect example your made up nonsense that literally is opposite of reality. Before WW2 many on the right such as Henry Ford and Charles Lindburgh were vocal Nazi sympathizers who celebrated Hitler as a brilliant industrialist who miraculously transformed the Weimar Republic and marvelling at innovations like the Hindenberg, which made many trips to USA before its famous accident. Hitler was even Time Magazine’s Man of the Year and George W Bush’s grandfather was an American banker for the Nazis. Meanwhile “the left” of the western capitalist world was volunteering to fight Hitler’s forces in the Spanish Civil War in which Hitler helped conservative dictator Franco seize power from the democratically elected left wing government. “The left” fought Hitler in Spain the same way westerners are flocking to fight Putin in Ukraine. Labour Unions and socialist organizations raised funds and volunteers with zero support or acknowledgement from their governments because at the time capitalist governments feared “socialists” and labour unions more than fascists. The Canadian volunteers were known as the “Mackenzie-Papineau Brigade”. You should read about it. That doesn’t mean right wing dictators and authoritarian regimes don’t exist. And how do you describe Scandinavian or even most European countries? Most are to the left of Canada. I mean do Canada is socialist just because the tax and regulatory scheme is not to your perfect liking how do you assess the rest of the non-USA western world?

  39. Automatic citizenship without restrictions for non residents born in Canada is an America's thing going back to when all countries in the Americas wanted immigrants. Except for Pakistan and a couple of African countries no one else allows it. It's time we stopped it as well. We spent a small fortune hauling "Canadians" out of Lebanon during the war in 2006.
