  1. You lost me at Marxist dictator. Whatever his sons (or wife) are, Pierre Elliot Trudeau was no Marxist dictator. Heck, he brought Jack Horner across the floor. IMHO, Trudeau Snr was a federalist before being a democrat. But above all, Trudeau Snr thought about the individual in a State: https://historyofrights.ca/encyclopaedia/main-events/1937-padlock-act/

  3. One reason why a new pipeline should go to Prince Rupert from Edmonton Alberta instead of to Vancouver is because of the already busy Vancouver Harbour and Georgia Strait. We don't want to increase the number of ships in a busy area like that. Prince Rupert is on the BC north coast and relatively light traffic in the ocean around there. A terrible accident occurred 55 years ago when a freighter ran into a BC Ferry on the BC south coast. That's an example of what can happen. "55 YEARS AGO: On August 2, 1970, three people died when Russian freighter Sergey Yesenin collided with the Queen of Victoria in Active Pass. The freighter’s steel bow sliced through the B.C. Ferry, almost cutting it in half. Story: https://evelazarus.com/bc-ferries-and-the-russian-freighter/

  4. A western country like America has the legal responsibility to treat everyone according to the Constitution, laws as well as international conventions that are in place. " Did not agree The U.S. did not agree to the U.N. Refugee Convention. President Truman refused to sign the convention, and the U.S. government declined to ratify it. However, the U.S. did ratify the 1967 Protocol, which outlines the legal obligations of states to protect refugees. Immigration History" "The 1967 Protocol on Refugees, ratified by the United States, removes the temporal and geographic restrictions on refugee status, allowing individuals to seek asylum regardless of their location. This protocol is part of the broader 1951 Refugee Convention, which defines refugees as individuals fleeing persecution and provides a framework for their protection and rights. The U.S. adopted this protocol in 1968, which has since been integral in shaping U.S. refugee law and policy. Wikipedia+2" If the Trump admin is not following the laws and conventions with respect to the rights of migrants and refugees, then they have a problem.

  7. Like I have to point out about you every time you post is your dumb. entirely self made up conclusions. A - the guy is not an immigrant B - if he is getting renumeration for performing and does not have a work visa he entered the country illegally and can be sent home. Which does not require masked heavily armed hordes of men, detention in cages in some swamp, nor flying him to Africa and paying some despot to hold him. Just a few minutes ride in the back of a cruiser to the US border. C - and if his views are contrary to the interest of Canada, as justified as refusing a Hamas spokesman a permit to speak in public.

  8. Mmmm hmm. And one good reason to leave the unspoiled North Coast alone is called Exxon Valdez too. Two good reason is that unlike the FAKE MAPS Enbridge flogged on the public, the tankers would sail right past where the Quenn of the North ran aground and sankas they left Kitimat. Three good reason is that you don't go out of your way to risk both ends of the Inside Passage. Four good reason is that Prince Rupert is also a busy port and both it and Kitimat will be major LNG terminals.. Now let's use your same desperate attempt at reasoning to imagine a 100,000 ton oil tanker slamming into a loaded LNG carrier. Give it up already.

  9. Here's something to think about: "Migrants should be treated according to Constitutional rights, laws, and U.N. conventions, which include: Human Rights Protections: Migrants are entitled to the same human rights protections as all individuals, although states may limit their rights in certain areas, such as voting and political participation. U.S. Constitution Rights: In the U.S., migrants have rights under the Constitution, including equal protection under the law and due process, regardless of their immigration status. International Law: The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCRMW) outlines the minimum rights afforded to migrant workers, including civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights. State Sovereignty: States have the authority to manage migration flows, but they are obligated by international law to protect migrants' rights within their territory. Special Protections: Migrants, particularly those in vulnerable situations, are afforded special protections under international law to address risks such as exploitation and discrimination. These principles ensure that migrants are treated fairly and humanely, respecting their rights and the responsibilities of states in managing migration. 3 Sources

  18. They were sent to a place in Africa which is not their own country. They originally came from latin America or the Caribean. They were sent to Africa by the U.S. government where they were locked up in solitary confinement without due process, without legal representation and without trial. They committed no crime to deserve that. The U.S. knew what they were doing. The U.S. is entirely responsible for violating their human rights.

  19. Because they were all killed or forced out. Israel has Jews, Christians, and Muslims. Why didn't they drive out all the Muslims? 100% There are various branches of Judaism. The Jewish taliban being one of them (Ultra-Orthodox). But unlike most other Arabs, the ones in Israel have a vote, and can run for office, and can appeal to an independent judiciary and a free press. They also serve in the military (though unlike Jews, they are not required to) and the police.

  21. What foreigners do to their own citizens is not our business. You can't run your country based on what other countries are running their country like. All you can do is run your country the way it should be run. Criminals should be locked up and then deported, that is the right way to run a country and it sounds like that's what they did so it's hard to be upset

  22. Speaking about entertainment codes and wokeness, I decided to binge out on the old Outer Limits series. Back in the days when a season was over 30 episodes. That show used to scare the shit out of us when we were like 10 years old. OMH 30+ episodes of the same repeating theme and plot with minor setting changes. Jpsef Stephano produced it and there was a monster which he referred to as 'the bear' in every episode. People are critical of Star Trek aliens all having 2 arms, 2 legs and a head but holy shit what an improvement over rubber masks and suits. Sometimes the mask was all there was! The main characters all drove 1963/64 Lincolns or Thinderbird convertibles but city ahots were all bathtub Nashs and prewar sedans, the mysogny was beyond belief - my God I never saw my Mom faint in my whole life but these women fainted over every minor stress, twisted their arms about their heads and screamed over blown fuses and anything more. Worst of all every episode ended with a voice over sentimentalizing the morality of worshipping the State defined status quo above all else. The wokest shows on the air these days are a comparative breath of fresh air. Talk about total submitance to some authoritarian code! June:Cleaver "Ward..." (pause) "Don't you think you're being a bit hard on the Beaver?

  24. Ironically and as is usually the case the moral panic over this goof is drawing more attention to him and his nonsense than he could have hoped for just performing for his flock. In any case the point stands that despite how arbitrary, silly, political, capricious or even malicious the reasons seem for refusing him permission they are being used in accordance with the discretion the law currently allows them. Just like a cop pulling over a car.

Can you tell me what percentage of the surrounding Arab countries are Jewish? Newly released UN report says that about 90% of the aid the UN delivered to Gaza never reached its destination The vast majority of humanitarian aid entering Gaza is intercepted before reaching its intended civilian recipients, newly released data from the United Nations shows, fueling growing concerns among Israeli officials and international observers about systemic aid diversion by armed groups in the enclave. https://www.algemeiner.com/2025/08/01/un-data-nearly-90-percent-gaza-aid-intercepted-before-reaching-intended-recipients/

  29. Over the centuries there has been enough hostility 'over there' to fill volumes. Hostility isn't exactly something that the Jews introduced. In this particular case there was a clash between Zionism and Arab nationalism. By far not the worst thing that ever happened but it sure gets the most ink.

  31. What rights? " What the Fourth Amendment Says The Fourth Amendment states: “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.” For most people, the Fourth Amendment’s text brings to mind the illegal search and seizure of a person’s property. However, the Fourth Amendment also applies to the person themselves. In this context, an "unreasonable seizure" is any government action that illegally restrains freedom of movement. The Fourth Amendment demands that any seizure be reasonable. It typically requires a warrant supported by probable cause. Probable cause limits law enforcement’s power to arrest or detain individuals. Officers must have a reasonable basis to believe that a person has committed a crime before they can lawfully detain them. The Supreme Court has provided clarification on the application of probable cause through various rulings. Evidence of a crime is crucial in establishing probable cause, which is necessary for a seizure to be lawful under the Fourth Amendment. Law enforcement officers must have a reasonable belief, supported by evidence, to believe that a person has committed a crime to justify an arrest or detention. Without sufficient evidence, any seizure could be deemed unreasonable and unconstitutional. However, the Fourth Amendment only applies to unlawful searches and seizures by the government. Indeed, if a private investigator, curious neighbor, or doubtful partner searches for your property, the Fourth Amendment does not govern their actions." Fourth Amendment Seizure of Persons - FindLaw Is a Warrantless Arrest an Unreasonable Seizure? It can be. The Fourth Amendment’s protection against unreasonable seizures applies to persons and property. The courts have viewed unlawful arrests as unreasonable seizures. However, the key thing to remember is that law enforcement can arrest without a warrant if they have probable cause to believe a crime is being committed. The Supreme Court has long interpreted the Fourth Amendment’s phrase “the right of the people to be secure in their persons” as a protection against arbitrary arrests. So, an arrest without a warrant or probable cause is seen as an “unreasonable seizure” of one’s person under the Fourth Amendment.

  32. If you’re in the United States illegally, you have the freedom to leave on your own accord, and go to wherever country you please, including your country of origin. I would recommend that if you’re worried about being deported to some place you’d rather not go.

  33. There might be a case to deport someone, but in this case not to send them to be locked up in a foreign prison. That is a clear violation of their rights.

  37. Or maybe your whole theory is just wrong? FYI PET never won an election while going against the whole legacy media. For you to believe that PP had the same opportunity to get his message across that Trudeau did is patently false. When you're the media darling like PET, Justa Boy or Carney, your slip-ups don't make the news, your policy positions are touted as golden, your lies are forgotten or ignored, your scandals are hush-hush, and the polls show that you have momentum. Only within two days of the election can the polls show less than a 5% edge for the golden one. When you're the Darth Horse the media harasses you and tries to show all of your worst clips, they try to make your soundbites seem sinister, they try to get photos of you with bad people, they try to say that bad people donated to your campaign, when the opposition steals your policies they suddenly go from tragic to good, etc. You think that everything PP did was bad because the CBC told you that. You think that Carney was great, and that Trump's reasons for preferring Carney were noble, because the CBC told you that. You don't think that Carney lied all that much because the CBC ignored all of his lies. If PP was the chairman of the board of a company that moved its HQ to NYC in this political climate, it would have been a bloodbath. Listen to leftards complaining about the fact that PP munched on an apple while a reporter was trying to sneak false premises into question after question, while ignoring Carney's lies about his role in moving Brookfield. This election was Darth Poilievre vs Mark Skywalker. CBC was George Lucas. Rosemary Barton was Obi Wan, talking to the storm troopers to get the androids past the checkpoint (talking to the voters about Carney's untruths before the election): Barton: "These aren't the lies you're looking for." Voters: "These aren't the lies we're looking for."

  40. Harper was never really a conservative. He was a sheep in conservative wool. The first thing that Harper should have done when he became the PM of Canada should have been to defund the left wing lieberal CBC. After all, the CBC was never a friend of the conservative party. What a stupid lieberal fool. Even PP would never touch the communist CBC. At least Trump is getting rid of their own PBS and the NPR both left wing lieberal outlets that were only there to serve the corrupt demonrats. Why is Harper appearing to be so anti conservative and speaking out like a lieberal that he really is?
