If the Democrats ever hold all three legislative bodies again the Constitution will be a distant memory, they will eliminate the filibuster and pack the court and then the authoritarian regime of the Democrats will come to be and no one will be able to stop them. They will take everyones guns and then eliminate free speech by making it a crime to give out misinformation or disinformation but the kicker is THEY will decide what misinformation or disinformation is. Once they get the courts they will make sure that they never lose another election by passing their make it easy to cheat bill and the federal government should control elections bill. So they will be able decide who is cheating or not. If you dare even hint at that they are cheating you will be arrested for disinformation. If you think I sound like a conspiracy theorist, they already tried to kill the filibuster and pass a voting bill that pretty much makes cheating super easy and are just itching to pack the court many have admitted as such. The point of representation is that the responsibility is delegated to a person who is (hopefully) smarter and definitely better informed and more focused on the issues. It's their job to know the politics, know the players and the secondary and tertiary ramifications of statements, actions and policies--to know better how to protect the interests of the union members. Teamsters are majority white men and not well educated--right in the Trump core demo. They don't know that Trump and his allies are anti-labor, anti union and would be terrible for their livelihoods. The leadership does understand that, so they can't endorse Trump. --and frankly I think they are making a mistake by not maintaining their close relationship with the Democrats.
