  1. Something you’ve probably picked up on over the last 6 months is that the Demonrats are not going to stop pretending to see the Emperor's New Mental Clarity. As Biden's workdays are stretched from <20 minutes, 4 days a week, to an unbearable 2 hrs on some days - to meet the expectation of occasional campaign appearances in addition to his daily duties as president de jure - his daily gaffes, wanderings, mumblings, teleprompter fails, and truncated sentences are going to become more frequent and pronounced. In order to combat the growing number of POTUS fail videos which will be coming from social media and conservative news outlets, the WH and their MSM minions have rallied together to start falsely labelling Biden's actual fails as "cheap fake" videos, to minimize the damage while at the same time slandering opposition. What's happening is that actual videos of Joe doddering and floundering are making the rounds on social media, and MSM outlets who are members of TNI are describing the videos as fake without showing the actual footage themselves. In one recent instance, CBC showed an actual video and mis-labelled it as "digitally edited video", and then had to remove it from their site after they were busted, then they replaced it with their own video with a narrowed view of what happened, but that's not the video that was making the rounds. The original video they showed was the one that was making the rounds and it was 100% legitimate. One thing that the MSM's/TNI's "cheap fake" accusations have in common is that they never show the actual raw footage, so viewers are left to rely on the opinions of TNI's disinformation experts, like CNN and NBC, to form the opinion that the videos actually were "cheap fakes". https://www.foxnews.com/media/liberal-media-outlets-running-cover-biden-calling-viral-clips-cheap-fakes CBS News was forced to remove its original report after labeling raw footage from the G-7 incident as "digitally altered video," replacing it with a narrowly cropped version that had also circulated online and labeling it "edited video." In other words, CBS was caught lying about the authenticity of an actual video that was going around, then they replaced the actual video with one video that was somewhat altered, but the actual video still showed Joe being Joe. If you see a MSM "cheap fake" accusation: see if they show you the real, unedited footage of the incident in question see if they mention where the 'cheap fake' was, and who posted it. Remember: if it really was a cheap fake, they'd have that info, but they don't, and they won't show the unedited footage.

  2. Meanwhile back in reality….Republican Cheap fakes do exist The video are not altered but they are shortened down and taken out of context For example the one cellphone clip where Biden is waving and giving thumbs up to a soldier who is out of view of that one particular cameraphone is presented as him waving at nobody Typical republican dirty trick garbage that they’re always pulling Republicans and right-wing media outlets are increasingly spreading deceptively edited Biden videos Fact-checkers have said that videos circulated by GOP operatives have been doctored and taken out of context By NICHOLAS LIU PUBLISHED JUNE 20, 2024 4:04PM (EDT) The Republican National Committee, conservative media outlets and right-wing influencers are peddling deceptively edited videos that they claim show "proof" of President Joe Biden's alleged physical infirmity, according to an NBC News report. These fraudulent clips purport to show the president wandering off, freezing up and sitting on non-existent chairs. Independent fact checkers and Biden campaign officials have sought to expose the videos, which in some cases entail cutting off a few seconds at the end or trimming off the edges of the image to present an entirely different story from reality. One video that purports to show Biden struggling to find a chair, for example, was cut off right before he sat down at the same time as French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife. Another video of Biden posing with other world leaders appears to show the president wandering off, but the original clip reveals that Biden was greeting a parachutist who had just landed as part of the ceremony. The deceptive videos, circulated by outlets like the New York Post and Fox News, exploit voters' concerns about Biden's age, which Donald Trump and other Republicans have consistently used as a campaign attack. This has created headaches for fact-checkers, whose detailed analysis inevitably struggle to get as many eyes as the original, viral videos. https://www.salon.com/2024/06/20/and-right-wing-media-outlets-are-increasingly-spreading-deceptively-edited-biden-videos/ For example the deceptive video with the paratroopers is shown at 1:06 and 1:52, in the link below where you can clearly see from another angle that Biden is interacting with a group of soldiers not wandering off The MO is basically to find a piece of video footage where Biden is talking to someone who is out of the camera shot and then claim he’s talking to nobody or staring at nothing Typical project vertitas republican altered reality garbage.

  5. Biden is not my boy Trump is only 3 years younger, older than Biden was in the last election. Trump’s showing his own signs of early dementia in the form of phonemic paraphasia, which is not just normal stumbling during speech but mixing up like-sounding syllables, get stuck on the same word and repeating it over and over, trailing off into silence mid sentence, interrupting himself mid sentence to go off an unrelated tangent, trying to get back on topic by suddenly yelling out a single key word from his intended point, etc. Personally my favourite is him turning words into long mush trails so like the word “Mexico” instead ends in “Mexiuuuuuuuuuh…..*silence*” and House of Representatives is “House of Repressshhhhhhhhh…*silence*” and then having completely lost his place, after a few awkward beats he tries to recover by shouting something like “IMMIGRANTS!” or whatever keyword his original sentence had been related to

  6. 1) So can we just acknowledge the fact that you're not willing to say "Joe Biden is of sound mind"? You'll go with this cheap fake story because you can't help but support a CNN disinformation piece, but you won't even hang your sterling repolitics reputation on a statement like: "Joe isn't entirely feeble and he is not well into cognitive decline." Thanks. 2) Trump did 2 and 3 rallies a day for a while. Trump spoke for several hours a day, with no teleprompter, for months on end, and that's all you've got? There's no comparison to Biden there. One of the videos that I posted of Biden was of him in his own basement, doing his only 20-minute speech of the day, or maybe even his only speech in a 2- or 3-day period, and it still came out all discombobulated. Trump's schedule was arguably 10,000 times what Biden's was in the 2020 campaign season. Trump was out in the heat for hrs a day and constantly travelling and still doing several hrs a day. Biden did 20 minutes every two days from is basement. Trump's schedule literally was 10,000 times harder than Biden's, and still Trump didn't look like a 1974 Datsun on an F1 track beside a McLaren. Biden just always looks like he's struggling to cross the finish line, even in a brief speech. It's blatant. He's done. *whispers* done... done...

  7. Biden is 3 whole years older than Trump. Trump is now 1 year older than Biden was in the last election, and you claimed Biden was too old to run for office back then. Fact Check: D-Day video of Biden attempting to sit on chair is cropped By Reuters Fact Check June 19, 20248:15 AM EDTUpdated 2 days ago A video purportedly showing U.S. President Joe Biden attempting to sit on a chair that was not there has been cropped, with the full footage showing Biden looking over his shoulder for a chair and pausing before taking a seat. …A post sharing the video, opens new tab said: “Joe Biden tries to sit on a non-existent chair.” However, the video has been clipped right before Biden fully sits down on the chair that is present behind him. The full footage, opens new tab of the commemoration event shows Biden pause after he leans down to sit while U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin is introduced. He then fully sits down along with U.S. first lady Jill Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron and France’s first lady Brigitte Macron https://www.reuters.com/fact-check/d-day-video-biden-attempting-sit-chair-is-cropped-2024-06-11/ Once again you’re proven to be a gullible sucker who falls for obvious lies that are easily disproven by publicly available objective evidence. But what else would anyone expect from a mindless follower of the Republican cult?

  9. If you’re an observant Christian, why are you lying? Theres no law that says schools must display a poster of the noble truths of Buddhism, or statues of the gods of Hinduism, or Native American spirit warriors. And those laws would be unconstitutional as well. You’re pretending that you cannot overturn 75+ years of judicial findings, you’re being “persecuted.” But being denied the “right” to impose your religion upon others is not persecution, it’s the exact opposite. Teach your kids whatever religion you want and keep my kids out of it.

  10. I was expecting a thread about tariffs, corporate welfare and such. Instead it seems to be exclusively about environmental regulations. So you are against that domain of government control. It doesn't make sense to me because at some level you would support government control over the environment, certainly. As well, you would certainly disallow levels of economic interchange for illicit things So what exactly is your guiding principle on this topic ? Have you thought about that ?

  11. I agree with the idea that there's a mass morality at play, and that governments and cities are not just sanctioning but jumping on the bandwagon. And I agree that it effectively excludes certain groups from the public square. And that's a negative effect. But when a populist like Ford gets involved, you know it's because the numbers are telling him to. The angle that these festivals are unpopular doesn't compute. I think that some social conservative types can't accept that they're in the minority.

  12. They're not read in. They have no access to classified documents or investigative findings... and rightly so. Their job is to ask obvious questions, hold the government to account, dig around, search out facts independently and report them. Just like they used to do back when they were largely considered to be a trusted institution.... remember those days? Your question itself shows how much we've slipped and how readily we've come to accept a new (and IMO dismal) standard of journalistic integrity. It's gotten to the point that consumers of news (especially partisan consumers of partisan news) are justifying the very biases in reporting that leave them ill informed in the first place.

  22. Confucianism is not really a religion, certainly not a deistic one. Some people would argue that it has elements of spiritualism, but WTF does that even mean? And I challenge you to find a single Confucius quote in any classroom anywhere that is religious in nature, let alone "government mandated" Confucius quotes. You're talking nonsense. What you are advocating is worlds apart. Night and day. Apples and watermelons. What you want is for the goernment to send explicitly and exclusively religious messages to every child, every hour, of every day about the "one true god." The truth is that you CAN understand the difference between these things. You are making specious arguments in and attempt to justify an end you desire, but you DO know the difference. Which is why you refuse to answer the theoretical about Muhammad.

  23. Or for f's sake. Don't be dense. With respect to Ukraine and the OP, the point that Trump clearly made is that making public statements about Ukraine joining was poking the bear. The statements were the problem. With respect to the Russia invading NATO thing, that was a sarcastic remark born out of frustration that the member states were not pulling their own weight. It wasn't an invitation to invade. Don't be so glib. Intentionally ignorant statements still make you look ignorant.

  24. I love that your solution for staffing and budget challenges with border immigration is to "punish" potentially millions of people with room and board for years at a time. Apparently that will be cost-free and unstaffed.🤣 Probably the proper response to misleading vividness posts like this is a story about an undocumented person saving someone's life or living quietly and productively as a valued member of a community. But, you know, nobody is scared of that...

  27. Run on this issue? I don't think you understand this issue. This is not an undocumented immigrant who was released into the US. Ir really has nothing to do with immigration policy. Simply someone who eventually managed to evade capture on 1 out of 4 tries. But I don't expect the facts will deter Republicans from cynically exploiting this family's loss.

And we all know how many dictators in history voluntarily give up their power on day 2. Republicans concerned about accurately reported comments “taken out of context” would be a first since that has been the bread and butter of Republican propaganda for decades. I mean the entire Project Veritas scam is based on secretly recording hours of conversation, then playing seconds-long clips out of context to make things seem different than they actually were. Besides, Trump has made many veiled threats of violence if he doesn’t win the election before and since the bloodbath comment

  35. Exactly. Plus the whole separation of church and state argument being brought in is pretty ignorant of the facts. Nobody is codifying Christianity as the official religion of the state which is really what separation of church and state is. It IS NOT grounds for eliminating Christianity or any other religion from the public square and shoving them into a corner so they can't support policy based on their religious belief

En plus, I've already stated my position on the matter and nothing produced by a far right, faith based organization will sway me into letting the government be involved in those kind of personal discussions and you shouldn't want that either. A: because you claim to want to reduce the power of government and B: if you allow the government to regulate such things, when the lefties you're so afraid of take over they'll be able to have simple minded bigots like you to be castrated so the ignorance doesn't propagate. Now support an argument or admit defeat.

  41. Exactly. According to your logic, America should have never entered the war. We should have demanded that Europe surrender to stop the loss of life. Same for Japan, might as well have ignored Pearl Harbor, right? Why respond and waste more lives. The only simple-minded outlook here is yours, as you actually agree with this nonsense. It is important for me to understand what a person actually supports, because like you, my guess is that they are being duplicitous. You want Ukraine to lose and support their losing, then you turn around and argue they are losing. It is a dishonest argument you are making, so you can support Russia. You are just fine with Russia continuing to invade countries at will, you welcome and encourage it. Speaking of simple notions... a peace agreement how? No, you have not. I understand your lousy arguments just fine. Disagreement != a lack of understanding. My outlook is no more binary than yours.
