I feel like we've learned nothing from history. When the Nazis barred Jews from restaurants and public places, Dialamah would have said, "Quit, whining, Jews! You can just eat at home." When the Jews were barred from social activities, she would be the one saying, "Going to the theatre is a privilege, not a right." When the Jews were rounded up into ghettos, her reaction would be, "Well they carry typhus, you know. It's for public health." When the ashes of Jews burned in the ovens fell on her laundry as it dried - "Can someone do something about this? It's falling on my laundry." Yes, do nothing until it's too late, always has worked out well for humanity. ?4 points

You aren't the sharpest tool in the shed, are you? If you're going to lie about something, at least make it vaguely plausible, not something everyone can plainly see is a lie with half a glance. You're like Trump, lying about the largest inauguration crowd ever (well, no, that's obviously not true) lol. FRED Do you need a list of which presidents were in office which years? I can give you a hint, the line climbs showing reductions in deficit (and to surplus) Democrats are in office. Here's a Red and Blue view if that's easier for you. There are many variations of this but this one was easy to read.4 points

Wouldn't you like to know who the MPP was who funneled all that money through to election campaigns for the Chinese government? And why they haven't been arrested?3 points

Did you know that you now can’t get a passport in less than about 4 months unless you can provide proof of a necessity to leave the country? Our government has imprisoned the population without any mandate from citizens. Try getting a passport and you’ll find out. If you already have a passport, enjoy your short-lived freedom until it comes time to renew it.2 points

My wife was able to secure a passport for our 2-year-old (at the time) in a matter of a few months online. The issues we are having now are a matter of incompetence from both the government and travellers. Not fascism.2 points

Can you imagine China holding an inquiry into the use of the Emergency Act, as Canada is currently doing? I fully expect the government to lose this one. Can you imagine that happening in China even if there was an inquiry? But still, you in your conspiracy world cluelessly bleat about totalitarianism.2 points

So move if you think Canada is so bad. Well as soon as the Canadian government starts locking people into fairgrounds or nailing doors shut or shooting protesters down in the street or imprisoning journalists or shutting off internet access outside it's borders, then maybe you'd have a point. As it is, you just look like an empty-headed dunce.2 points

Yes it’s totalitarian. It’s a Soviet Union-style travel barrier. We’ve already seen states offering political asylum to Canadians this past year. Canada is China.2 points

It’s a disgusting totalitarian requirement to require people to provide evidence that they are travelling and for such travel to be deemed “necessary” by bureaucrats in order to get a passport. It’s nobody’s damn business where you are going or why you’re going. Stick to your job of issuing passports. These are the kinds of creepy gatekeepers that have become commonplace under Trudeau. Right there with ArriveCAN and the requirement for federal workers to work from home. Also terrible that they’re still maintaining reduced capacity in their offices. The pandemic is clearly an excuse for incompetence, inefficiency, and overreach. Canuckistan for sure.2 points

The security guards were employed by Trudeau, not the venue, they were his personal detail. I literally saw them all get off his campaign bus with him. He wants to virtue signal that he's a super progressive guy by having an all-POC detail. That's weird. His is obsessed with race and gender. He chooses his cabinet and everything else based on race and gender quotas, he has done the same with both of his picks for GG. The Biden admin borrowed the tactic and did the same for his VP pick and his Supreme Court Justice nominee, and he admitted as much. This is what they do. You're free to deny it all you want, the evidence is everywhere.2 points

Tragically Joe Biden and Justin Trudeau have declared war on the energy industry and have been attacking our domestic oil and gas industries and the people who use them. The shortage of oil and gas in America has a direct correlation with the high rate of inflation because oil and gas is used for everything in the supply chain. All in the name of fighting climate change. Man cannot control the climate and never will but they have helped deceive millions of people into believing that mankind can control the climate. This is like believing man can build a tower to heaven as in the account of men trying to do that in Genesis. Might have more success building a stairway to the moon. Joe Biden killed the Keystone XL pipeline project as one of his first actions in office. This would have supplied 400 million more barrels of oil per day. He is increasing regulation against the oil and gas industry in America making it more difficult or impossible to produce a good supply. Instead he is trying to increase the oil supply from Saudi Arabia and hopes to negotiate a deal with Communist Venezuela to get oil from them. Where is the rationale in killing north American oil production and pipelines and increasing the purchase of oil from human-rights denying dictatorships? There is no rationale. He is getting too old and senile as he approaches eighty. Joe Biden has hampered domestic energy industry while pleading for more foreign oil | Fox News1 point

Apparently, the Republicans are promising to return jobs to the US that were outsourced to China. So… who do they think outsourced those jobs in the first place? One factory owner after another moved their manufacturing to China. It sure wasn’t the workers. Are they going to repatriate jobs that pay $1 per day for 12 hours a day?1 point

I don't have time for all your lies and bullshit right now so I'll just cut to the least ridiculous-sounding part. (How did your car crash analogy pan out for you by the way. Did you even try to understand it or was it just beyond you [logical and accurate]?) If unvaccinated people were really 5x more likely to die than the other two groups, and 15% of Canadians are unvaccinated, then the deaths per hundred people equation looks like .15 x 5y + .85y = 100. 1.6y = 100 y = 62.5 .15 x 5y = unvaxed deaths per 100 people. 1.5 x 5 x 62.5 = 46.875 deaths .85 x 1y = .85 x 62.5 = 53.125 Seems like about 47% of deaths here should be from the unvaxed and 53% should be from the vaxed if unvaxed people were really 5x as likely to die. Maybe I'm wrong, but it looks pretty close. The number is 15/100. The real world equation is .15 x 1y + .85y = 100 .15y + .85y = 100 Get it? Unvaxed people aren't 5x as likely to die, or 47% of our deaths would be from the unvaxed, despite the fact that only 15% of us are unvaxed.1 point

I posted under the U.S. page that Biden has done 125 things to reduce the American production of oil and gas and thereby is hurting the consumers. This is one reason why diesel prices have gone up. It is Biden and Democrats crusade against climate change that is driving it up and the fact OPEC cut back on oil production by several hundred million barrels of oil. Biden is making things worse for the U.S. and Canada. Canada suffers incredibly high prices for fuel, energy, food, and everything else and isn't helped by the Biden administration. Trudeau of course is a big part of the problem too. If Trudeau had not killed the northern gateway pepeline and energy east pipeline and done other bad things to the energy industry, we might have much more oil and gas production in Canada. I hope Democrats really take a beating in today's election. It will make it more difficult for Biden to push his agenda through and that's a good thing. Will be watching the election results today and in the coming days.1 point

Cooking oil is OK for old diesels but you better be careful what you put in the new ones because you could screw up some very expensive emission control components. Modern common rail injectors alone can cost more than $800 each. Particulate filters start at around $2500.1 point

1. Me, my partner and several colleagues have had boosters and not gotten Covid. Why would your two people outweigh my several people for evidence? 2. The booster takes as long as two weeks to become effective. It wasn't the booster that made them sick, but some contact with the virus before they has the booster. 3. Ugh. That makes you the God of hyperbole and hysteria, since I was clearly responding to the advice to do nothing about creeping totalitarianism and not the wait times for passports. I even quote boxed what I was responding to. You used to be smarter than this. Even if I didn't agree with you 100%, you used to at least make some good points and be able to comprehend the direction of the discussion. Now it's just insults and you rarely comprehend other people's posts. What happened to you?1 point

Hi, I went to the Guy-Favreau complex in Montréal to get a passport 2 weeks ago on a Monday, having declared mine lost a few years ago (thankfully I recovered it but since it was declared lost, I had to get a new one). I waited in a line for 2 hours with my spouse, because we need to go to Belgium as her mother passed away recently and funerals are there. Finally, at the counter where the government representative was, I was told alongside my partner that we needed to have a form in order, filled, before talking to her to get an appointment to get a passport. No one told us that when we went in the line, despite there being 5 staff members asking us why the hell we where there, none bothered to tell us we needed to fill a form before inquiring to the officers. The officer gives me the forms, and we're back at the end of the line after we take 5 minutes to fill them. We spend another 2 hours, finally for them to tell us we'll get an appointment for in 4 days. That's what I call efficient, baby. I had an appointment for 2PM, went there at 1:45PM, and waited until 3:30PM to finally get my passport. I had to wait in line despite having an appointment scheduled at a certain time. It's great out here, our procedures are so modern and very up to date in the great country of ours. Oh and it's not better at the provincial level. When I had lost my Health Insurance Card in a moving, I had to go on Québec website for health insurance to order a paper form to be sent at my Home, that I could send back to the Government of Québec. I did a mistake in the form so they sent me back my form, and I had to resend it. It took 6 weeks to get my Health Insurance Card back. I could have been sick during those times, but hey, I guess I'm lucky. Talking about the form... it could have been available on the online portal of the Québec website, but no, I had to order a paper form on their online web service.1 point

You are completely delusional. For the last 30 years every Republican president has increased deficits 1. For the past 30 years, every Democratic president years has decreased deficits over their terms while every Republican has increased deficits 2. Deficit simply means spending is greater than revenue, so yes, obviously tax cuts can create deficits by decreasing revenue. 3. Reagan didn't bring in "extra" revenue, he ran huge deficits, exploding the national debt and creating a burden for every administration after. Aside from being rude, I don't think you're in a position to call other people "useless."1 point

Only 20% of Canada’s land is arable (can grow stuff) and we’re paving over most of it with development. For what? I laugh at the total hypocrisy of the anti-growth (net zero, eliminate greenhouse gas) pro-immigration set. High immigration is pro growth. Immigration raises our carbon footprint. What about quality of life? Do you really want a Canada where we’re crowded in overpriced endless city along our south? Chrétien said it best when he said, Who will stand up for Canada? That Liberal party is gone. Canadians aren’t in charge of Canada anymore. Our leaders have sold Canada out to international interests. What we haven’t lost in terms of rights during the pandemic we’re now losing in living standards with inflation, carbon taxes, and regulations. But you’re saving the planet right? Bring on another half million immigrants…1 point
