I find Canadian legal gun owners to be highly professionalized those I know with Restricted Class PALs meet or even exceed Canadian Army infantry weapons handling standards3 points

Diminished, yes, and not just by a little bit. Opposing views are welcomed in a healthy society. It's their lying and racism that's not. Not always. Saying "Joy Behar is an idiot" is no more proof of one's towering intellect than saying "Hitler was bad" is proof of one's noteworthy virtue. It's just something that needs to be understood. You were getting your kicks out of inferring that the author of the OP lacked intelligence, it was quite disrespectful. TBH bad report cards isn't proof of anything. I was just being a dick. If your parents raised you to be a certain way then there's not much the schools can do about it. You'd think that my ex bro-in-law was a complete dunce if you asked him a basic question about physics or math but he can fix any car, truck, tractor, motor, engine or appliance on your property and they'll actually work. On his days off he's always at someone else's place fixing something for them for free. His lack of an education is by no means a measure of his ability to contribute to society in a meaningful, intelligent way. But Joy Behar is an idiot ith a dangerous mouth. She's one of the people who didn't see anything wrong with protesting at the homes of SCJs. There's no excuse for her complete lack of understanding and wisdom.1 point

Yes, law-abiding citizens have done everything you have posted, and more there may be a few cases of each, for every calendar year, but enough to justify a complete banning. Suicides account for the bulk of deaths by legal firearms owners. and yet a Canadian can get a medically assisted death because she can not afford an apartment that is free of chemical scents. But hey if you kill yourself with a firearm that's evil... Canadian voters want to see handguns gone because gang violence is up, when was the last time a gang member applied for a PAL, or obtained a legal handgun, why would they... So the government wants to look like it is doing something, anything that is cheap... pumping more money into law enforcement is expensive, taking away legal gun owners' firearms is cheap, way cheaper...Canadian firearm owners go through a criminal background check "every day", and medical records are checked for any mental health issues, every day...The government does what is best for the Government, not the people... Many Canadians do not know jack shit about Canada's laws and policies around firearms, The Government has been using half-truths or outright lies or American examples to deceive the public on legally owned firearms. And your right keeping said handguns is going to make them not so much law-abiding... But the objective here was to slow or stop handgun crimes, these policies are not going to do that, this is the government making it look like it is doing something for the least cost...And most Canadians don't care they live in a city where gun ownership is not a big deal or affects them at all. A small percentage of handguns or firearms are stolen 10 to 20 %, and most are brought into the country illegally for the purpose of doing crime...80 to 90 % of criminal handguns are brought in this way. The stats do not add up, nor does the government narrative, a narrative that is being used to sell this grand safety move done by a government that really cares about our safety... which is why they are downgrading all gun crimes sentences.. Not sure why you think the government could not take away any form of sport or tool, for any reason, i mean they lied to us on control measures and the stats behind them, so why not skiing, camping, or biking, all it would take is a narrative like gun control...1 point

REIT's are Canadian. the link is not specifically Canadian. Rental costs go up, but so do ownership costs. Do landlords absorb those or take a loss? I am only trying to say that housing cost sand rental costs are very different world wide as they are in Canada too. We seem to concentrate on the 3 major cities when speaking of housing and rentals without taking into account that the cost of operation in those major cities is also skewed. Nationalist, above has some very good points. And look what he accomplished. It was certainly not easy and certainly nothing guaranteed or given to him. When I was "growing up" in the housing world, we only had one income and it was difficult, very difficult. The norm today is dual incomes, major vacations, very often 2 cars and lots of stuff. I did not have any of that and we were very house poor for a long time. Not saying we were a total transitory group back then but, we did move to where we could afford to live. (do not want to open up that debate but we did what we had to). We, or the government, do not owe a house to anyone.1 point

There is no indication of the political leanings of the individual in custody. Only that he suffers from mental illness and had a firearm. Food for thought. The issue should not be if he was a supporter of President Trump or a leftist, or what his views on a woman's right to exercise her reproductive decisions . The issue should be how a mentally ill person comes to be in possession of a firearm.1 point

But. This is not the first world type disaster that we have faced. It’s funny how, when people(even dunderheads) get the revelationary truth, they respond. The truth that we will get will probably cause people to start vomiting. Seriously. Watch what happens when they realize how badly they have been duped. Yes, some of the brainwashed will stay lost, but that’s always been true.1 point

Gee...I guess that's a great reason or argument for a return to traditional family values. You know...both mommies and daddies taking responsibility for the children they produce. My spawn are all 3 in their 20's. One already lives in one of my rentals with her BF and the chihuahua she bought...and left at my home...She pays me "rent"...which I regularly don't get. But, the poor girl is 'nesting' now and is spending money on the house. So...there's that...I suppose... The boys? They'll each get the same treatment. They'll pay me, and I'll go golfing. Immediate gratification. Shouldn't people get their 'ya yas' out by the age of 30-ish? At what point do people really examine and take stock in their lives, and start planning? It happened to me the very moment I held my little girl for the first time. I knew then what I had to do, I just didn't know how yet. I eventually chose a path that worked somewhat. Today, I sense that most people live for today and themselves. Lots of memories. Pictures. But at the cost of leaving any legacy behind. Isn't that an instinct? Isn't the purpose of being, to create more being? Not necessarily kids, but some thing. Some...something. I hear..."I go parasailing in Mexico every year. Just bought a new Tesla." And I think..."Never parasailed...haven't taken a holiday in years...but I got 5 years to retirement and then, I'm leaving this dirty city and the wife and I are gonna coast. You'll be stuck here working part-time to supplement your pension." Even in today's reality, there are avenues for long-term profitable investments for the future. Precious metals. Land. Commodities. Building for the future was important, not too long ago. It's...disappearing.1 point

Here's the bottom line. On November 3rd, 2020, President Donald Trump was leading in the election. During the counting, Republicans began complaining that they were being kept from witnessing the counts. By about 11pm the counting was halted in several strategic areas, for some pretty limp reasons. At that point, the media, including FOX, were calling it in favor of Biden. In the morning Biden was being declared the new POTUS. The quite illegal mailin ballots had miraculously pushed Biden to victory. Then came the evidence of cheating. But no judge wanted to hear the evidence. A few minor cases got to court and some of the cheating was exposed. Yet still the high courts refused to hear the cases. On January 6th, thousands of concerned Americans came from all over the USA to voice their disbelief. Do I think the 2020 election was rigged? Yes. Only a partisan hack could possibly think otherwise. But come upins will be a bitch. Rhinos are being successfully primaried and by this time next year, I expect Hunter and Hillary-Billary will be looking for a place to hide. In 2024, Trump or someone like him, will be elected POTUS. The Democrats blew their load all on ousting Trump with mailin ballots. Those will not be widely available in 2024. And without a means of cheating, the Democrats can't win and they know it.1 point

The world Charest is addressing doesn’t exist anymore. Freedom is in peril, but many elderly think it’s just the government keeping them safe. There’s a much bigger agenda being pushed. Trudeau thought he could push it through and look smart on the world stage. Instead, he looks like a privileged tyrant who doesn’t respect the real concerns and rights of all Canadians. The excuses for oppression should be clear by now: public health and safety, climate change. Unfortunately many Canadians are still under a spell of fear sold by government, state-funded media, and international bodies. Poilievre is tuned into what’s at stake and has the intelligence, strength, and experience to mitigate these threats to the liberal-democratic nation state of Canada. However, I say mitigate because those threats will persist. If Poilievre or someone like him doesn’t win soon, I’m not hopeful for freedom in Canada.1 point

The federal Conservative method involves second choices: preference votes. Votes are weighted by riding. IMHO, according to this federal Conservative method, it is a choice between Charest and Poilievre. Only these two have a chance to win. ==== I reckon that if Charest wins, the Conservative Party (and Canada) will dissolve. Too many people will say, enough is enough. If Poilevre wins, the Conservatives will never form a federal government.1 point

Of course there is. The only question is "how much was there in the 2020 American election?" I would answer, a lot more than you seem able to recognize. I'll give you a pass as a gullible easily swayed by the Regressive left's secretarial pool in the MSM and the post modern narrative though. BTW, you're no part of a conservative. The reason why not is in the title. "Conserve." The Prog God that pulls the gullibles' strings is for bringing things down around all our ears. Biden's advisors(bosses) seem to want to choose people based primarily on what boxes they tick off. He picked Harris because of her skin colour and gender. Ditto for the supreme court pick. I think it's safe to say that the main reason Mayor Pete is where he is now is mainly because he's gay. I'm sure he's a smart guy but I don't think he's been all that impressive as secretary of transportation. He's been on leave a long time, I don't know if his partner has a more important job than he does. Hard to imagine a more important job than transportation secretary. Buttigieg has no concern for the struggling middle class and the poor. Ingraham: 'Pete Buttigieg's Highway to Hell' seeks to control where, how often you drive | Fox News Biden is a very weak president and I don't see anyone competent or middle of the road types ready to step in when he does not seek reelection because he's unfit. The Democratic party of today is a far left party.1 point

They tried to make Trump out to be a horrible president on the MSM in the US, everything that he did was "racist and stupid". But islamic state was ground to ashes, Al Qaeda was gone or they were in hiding, the war in Afghanistan was winding down quite nicely, the economy was doing well despite covid, he got a Pflacebo, there was a wall going up, illegal immigration was going down, and no new wars were started. The planet was very stable and improving - there was even a normalizing of relations between Israel and an Arab nation. On the down side, violent crime and Fentanyl deaths were still too high, but violent crime wasn't climbing like it is under Biden. Trump didn't do awesome in those areas but he did far better than Sleepy Joe. Now, in addition to Bidenflation, the war in Afghanistan went to hell, Al Qaeda is back, the border went to hell, the Pflacebo hasn't had any effect on covid, but maybe worst of all, Russia and China have announced their new alliance and there's a major war in Europe. There could be a major war in Asia soon as well, because China keeps talking about invading Taiwan. This reminds me of back in 2019 when Willam Devane's commercial would come on Fox News, and he'd say "In these uncertain times it's wise to invest in gold and silver..." and I'd lol. Sonofabitch. I'm not laughing at all now. These are absolutely uncertain times. To say that uncertainty in NA spiked between 2019 and 2022 is an understatement. 2019 was Hakuna Matata and 2022 is that famous AC/DC song.....1 point

That's how you authorize voter fraud is it? By mocking outrage at Trump wanting the RINOs and Neo-con Republicans to support voter integrity and investigate an obviously rigged election. As far as suspicion goes I notice you have none as to how a guy who couldn't fill an auditorium during his campaign could get a historical record number of votes in the actual election. Not to mention a metaphorical, tropical rainstorm of suspicious activity and outright contradictions to historical precedent in elections and just plain common sense.1 point

Do yourself a favour and never get a girlfriend. Have girl friends, and not a girlfriend. Girls start getting nitpicky, when they're in a relationship. Eventually you'll be putting alot of effort into a relationship, that isn't reciplicated. You'll end up fighting, because you feel like the girl isn't doing enough. Having more than one female friend, works out for the long term. If one girl goes cold for a while, call up the backup. Then go back to the first girl, when she starts missing you.1 point

"use a contraceptive" My proposal was walking through the idea that a contraceptive was used or that an unjustified deliberate action taken by the man or the woman was used to sabotage the contraceptive. " You mind telling me how a pregnancy is accidental?" Failure rate of common contraceptives: Male condoms 13%, female condoms 21% https://www.cdc.gov/reproductivehealth/contraception/index.htm "Your entire premises tries to make up an excuse for discharging your sperm in a vagina without a contraceptive." It does? Did you read what I wrote? "We have a man and a woman, they agree to have sex with each other for the sake of pleasure, thus a strong birth control is used" "Tell it to the child as they grow up that their biological father paid the equivalent of an abortion fee, so does not have to help them with expenses." This has nothing to do with what I am proposing, feel free to start a new thread for the long term effects to the failed contraceptive children. "You realize if you have sex and spread a sexually transmitted disease to a woman she can sue for more then that?" If there was a possibility that she could decide to have a sexually transmitted disease "abortion" then I would disagree with such actions. But since she is forced to be infected by the STD, she is without choice and thus has the right to sue.1 point
