Canada is doing this well...trust me...I watched it go very, very sideways (up close and personal) in 2020 after the George Floyd killing. Over 500 businesses damaged or destroyed. The incinerated police precinct building still has not been replaced. Enjoy the "peaceful" non-violent protest...it could be far worse.4 points

I'm just getting tired of him and Dialamah following me around from thread to thread, contributing nothing but just there to insult me. Enjoy the forum, myata. I enjoyed your thoughts.3 points

I don't like a lot of things governments do but I believe in democracy where governments are elected, not dictated by mobs. Let's take stock. We have a bunch of angry people who have taken over downtown Ottawa for two weeks, many with their kids, and other groups blocking borders and bridges and what has happened to them. NOTHING! Yet you have the absolute gall to compare them with Europe's Jews of the 30's and 40's. You also have the gall to claim you are doing it for our own good, completely ignoring the rights and freedoms of the people who live and have business's in those places or rely on those borders to get the goods they need to run their lives and business or get their goods to market. All because a small minority of truckers don't want to get vaccinated and a bunch of stupid children who think they are some kind of heroes.3 points

You call other people fascists and mock them for watching MSM. Should you be treated with more respect than you show others? To the topic: I don't find any of what you claim to be true. I'm following somebody else who's stuff I enjoy reading; you just happen to be there posting your usual ....2 points

Over 90% truckers are on the highway, except the ones being blocked by these morons and their supporters. Tell that to the auto workers who are now being laid off for lack of parts.2 points

I am really certain that was less of a question than a cheap insult posed as a question, just because you knew that your position was so untenable. Has there, in history, been a more delusional and ill-informed question no there hasn't been.2 points

Pretty poor censorship in this country, given all the platforms you conspiracy nuts find to post on. Are you saying that Moonbox isn't entitled to express their opinion? That sounds like you're in favor of shutting down views you don't like.2 points

No it doesn't. The best and most glorious thing about the Courts is that they operate on common sense and reason, which is something that's in short-supply with your arguments. When an issue is pressing and important enough, it jumps the queue, because it must be seen quickly to be relevant. There have already been multiple lawsuits like Brian Peckford's against COVID-19 rules that have failed in the Courts. We therefore not only have legal precedence that has supported such measures, we also have rock-solid proof that it doesn't take 4-5 years to see cases against them. Congratulations. You're clueless on multiple levels.2 points

Isn't necessary. Alberta, Saskatchewan and this morning King Doug of Ontario are talking removing restrictions. Commie Bonnie Henry of BC is enjoying her new power too much to fall in line but she will eventually. Apparently the American blue states are talking removing mandates with midterms coming. What will happen when the cheese stands alone. Castro's boy being the cheese.2 points

there is no God given right for governments to take away people's God given rights if anyone is the antichrist here, it's not me it's people saying nonsense like this2 points

Trudeau loses because he condemned the convoy from the get-go, alienated the industry that kept our economy afloat through the scariest periods of the pandemic, and now that neither the threat of the virus can justify the mandates nor will the public’s patience endure them, Trudeau is refusing to shift positions. Basically he will be associated with maintaining oppressive policies. Good, let him wear it. The backlash is just beginning.2 points

Our beloved Premier Moe, admonished us to be respectful of those we disagree with. While we have opposing views, we are a community and I will try to do better. I do not really believe children should be taken away in this circumstance and I need to show more respect. Where would we be without Yzer, Dog, Bush Cheney, Taxme etc. We would be at a loss for words.2 points

In this instance, yes...and that's OK. First Nations have also used this tactic in the past, so it is very Canadian.2 points

Indeed...as long as the protesters hold their powder and remain "peaceful" then the government will be hard pressed to move on the children. Canadians will not accept a Waco North. The FLQ Crisis was different and far more limited...does Justin Trudeau have the balls of his father ? Methinks not.2 points

The Truckers' movement was all that was needed to break apart the Liberals unity it seems. Trudeau divided the country so much, and had such a divisive rhetoric, that even the Federal Liberal Party of Canada is now having dissidence over the direction of the Minority government. Are we reaching the end of the Omerta of the Covid measures? --- A Liberal MP is speaking out against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and provincial governments’ pandemic policies, and politicians’ handling of the ongoing trucker convoy protests. Joel Lightbound, the Louis-Hébert, Que. MP, held a press conference on Parliament Hill on Tuesday morning saying that he thinks those concerned about COVID-19 policies have “legitimate concerns” that should not be dismissed.1 point

Seeing that it is across the country and now across the globe...the protest is pretty damn big. Enough to frighten all you fascists out there.1 point

Parts flow both ways across the border. American auto workers are getting laid off as well. You guys either have no clue of the damage you are causing or just don't care. How the hell do you think get parts across the border. The US is our largest trading partner, everyone who relies on cross border trade is being held hostage by a few truckers and their idiot children supporters.1 point

The problem is way more significant than a protest on specific issue(s). The problem is that the restrictions can't end in any meaningful way in this country. Covid is here to stay. After four rounds of lockdowns who can say that the next time a variant appeared and cases clime up, saving a miracle it will happen at some point, the same experts wouldn't be making the same calls for new restrictions, mandates and lockdowns? Note how, unlike in many peer countries, restrictions here pile up without ever being dropped, lockdowns, masks, vaccines what next. This is no coincidence, the system works this way. It's safer and easier for entitled bureaucrats (by the chair, not necessarily competence and efficiency as everyone can observe these days) to impose and keep restrictions than to come up with effective and sustainable in the long term solutions. That was the job in the first place, not managing the population "for as long as necessary" but please, who in this country can explain it to a caste that came to love issuing edicts and mandates, the true calling of saving you for your own good and against your will if need be? The restrictions in Canada simply aren't going away, no one has come up with any reasonable alternatives because no one needed and wanted to don't even say, had to because it, the system for a long time now decides what it needs to do. It works as is, why fixing.1 point

When did I tell you that you shouldn't contribute? I have told you exactly what I have told you. When you provide bad sources, I explain how they are bad. When you make lousy arguments, I ridicule your reasoning. That you find it unpleasant is I guess no surprise, but then we find your broken-record nonsense unpleasant and tedious as well.1 point

Covid tickets that were handed out two years ago are finally being heard. The vast majority of covid fines are being tossed. Others are still pending in court two years later. That's also another fact. The third fact is that Brian Peckford's argument has NOT been heard despite your lies. Who to believe.. Brian Peckford a man who actually wrote the constitution or some jackass on the internet who has an irrational fear of the unvaccinated. It's also a fact that a judge when hearing the injunction against the truckers repeatedly said that they have a right to protest. You are pathetic sir. Nice try1 point

CNN. You mention them as if they are a legitimate news organization. What a difference a month makes, eh? Now they are slowly burning to the ground. They single handedly tried to end Trump and now it turns out their escapades were far worse(pedos). Anyone remember Michael Avenatti, Stormy Daniel’s lawyer that tried to ruin Trump? He’s apparently doing time in the big house. Alec Baldwin, mocking Trump on SNL every week, is now trying to fight off a murder charge. Then you have the two Cuomo brothers, both attacking and slamming Trump regularly. Now look at them, careers veered off course and trying to recover. Still single and ready to mingle, Andrew? There’s probably several more, I heard this list mentioned recently. Think what you will of Trump, I wouldn’t want to get on his bad side.1 point

They fought hard against mandated vaccinations and won, arguing that they would take away their rights as Canadians. Ottawa police are exempt from vaccinations. I think this is why so many of them are reluctant to infringe on others fighting for that same right.1 point

All the usual characters are running with it on your side of the border which is fantastic. Far better coverage of the events on the US side...as usual. I expect a US trucker convoy to DC within a month. That will be a BIG one...very hard to stop, I might add. We have only one main route into/outta Ottawa...really. You've got many many many....1 point

No. Not at all. MPs in the LPOC toe the party line or they get punted. That's not just me talking, elected MPs who went independent or crossed the floor said the exact same things. Trudeau himself said that no one is allowed to run as a Lib if they don't support abortion. When you consider that so many Quebecers are RCs, there are obviously a lot of ridings in Que where the majority of people are against abortion, but Lib MPs are expressly forbidden to represent them. Trudeau runs a tight ship. Having two MPs stand up and go directly against him is a big deal. I can promise you, that little bastard is fuming right now. Just to add - dissension in the PC is not a big deal. Some PCs go to the convoy and support it, some stay away and don't support it, and that's with the rank and file members as well as the leaders. It's what one would expect from over 100 different people from different parts of the country. I would have hoped that the PCs would have gone after the PM for his hatemongering a bit more, but I also understand that they have to contend with the MSM which will flay anyone alive who goes directly against the PM like that.1 point

It looks like it is the protesters not government using children. Ottawa police said there are over 100 children living in the trucks so they are unable to carry out some policing tasks as a result to enforce law and order.1 point

My guess is that much of the police force is with the protesters; Police officers were also facing mandatory vaccinations.1 point

I’ve worked closely with child protection services and can tell you that removing children from parents, especially when it’s a warm family where all the child’s needs are addressed, is not something they pursue. It means finding a stranger foster parent or relative to provide the care. If kids start getting taken from these parents, you will see a widely publicized “Sixties Scoop” revisited. Many truckers have native blood. This would not end well.1 point

Leftists love protests when they include arson and looting. They can even include assaults and murders of civilians and still be considered 'mostly peaceful' if they just include those two things. Without arson and looting though, according to the leftist dictionary; any protest, no matter how peaceful, is called an insurrection. They also use the word sedition in a new way. Leftists call angry mobs seditious, while the rest of us consider sedition to be the act of convincing other people to attack the government. It's not actually new for the definition of words to change to match the way that they're used in society at large, and the fact that 50% of the people use those words incorrectly now just means that the definitions will eventually change to include the leftists' current misusage of them.1 point

I guess you need a history lesson then. Shocker. When Obama was POTUS, Putin rode around on a horse with no shirt on (www.alreadyinP86'sspankbank.com) taking over parts of Ukraine whenever he wanted. Obama just bit his pillow, and if he even made a peep, no one heard it. Putin suffered a brief setback when Trump was President, 200 of his men were actually killed by US forces back then and he never pushed back, but as soon as Biden was inaugurated Russia amassed their shock troops on the Ukrainian border. Biden got rid of Trump's kibosh on the NG pipeline to Germany in an act of appeasement, but Putin patted him on the head and proceeded to sign economic and military deals with China. They've both agreed to look away when the other invades Ukraine/Taiwan. It seems as though Biden's weakness along the border is only matched by his weakness on the global stage. Putin and Xi are the big dogs now, Biden is a yappy little kitchen-shitter. The next POTUS will be starting on his back heel, vying for a spot at the big boy table.1 point

Trudeau is a dark narcasist and sociopath. There terrified to show any disagreement or concern. Trudeau fired Jody Wilson-Raybould for a reason. He sent a signal to the rest of his caucus, that if they ever try and second guess him publicly, they will lose their job. He's kind of like Kim Jung I'll. He's trained his groupies to clap for him, even when they know he's spouting off bullshit. Just smile and clap, and you can keep your $250 000 a year job, and six figure pension. When the concervatives reaze illegitament concerns, make sure to smirk at them, and demoralize them. If you don't he might have a problem.1 point
