Again...SO WHAT ? A "majority of Canadians" also supported the mandatory internment of Japanese-Canadians during WW2. What part of this tyranny by the majority do you not understand ?6 points

Opinions are like a**holes...everybody has one. Polls do not validate the tyrannical actions of government to limit civil liberties and freedoms that are driving (pun intended) the trucker convoy protests against coercive vaccinations and transport commerce.4 points

Careful now. I've heard the official demands an none of them call for ""over throwing the government to a mob". They want the House of Commons disoved by the Governor and the Senate. That and an end of these tasteless rules. I figure they'll get the mandates dropped.3 points

I appreciated your post about Gawd. I know the "Gawd of creation" and I mostly agree with the prose you so eloquently presented. But this, my friend, is not correct. There was a time, in the beginning of The Rona, that caution was warranted and panic could be understood. That time has past. We have learned from this bug. We know how to deal with it and we know it's weakening. "Follow the science!" It was perfect advice. Still is. Yet...while free science has shown us facts we didn't know in the beginning, the institutions and businesses have chosen to maintain the initial state of panic, by denying much of our scientific discoveries. Which leads me to ask... 'How does your God (my Gawd) feel about allowing fear to reign? '3 points

Are you serious? For starters, what would the truckers drive on? This site is more and more like watching kindergarteners discuss public policy.3 points

Covid has made them all irrational authoritarian fascists. It’s a sickness worse then covid at this point. Even worse is they don’t even recognize their insidious behaviour. They actually think it’s noble.3 points

So true. Big tech censors everything they read, the networks likewise stifle any views and stats that are contrary to their latest crusade, in this case Covid. It’s subtle but very effective as we can plainly see in this thread. There is a doctor in the US who has treated over 9500 Covid cases with zero deaths. I’d mention what his treatment protocols are, but I’m sure the pitch forks would come out.3 points

The question should be as to how much longer are Canadians going to tolerate this communist? Castro Trudeau is taking up space himself by being allowed to sit in parliament and being allowed to wreck this once great country called Canada. Castro does not believe in anything but himself. Communist dictators are like that, don't you know? Hopefully, the truckers will be able to get this cowardly commie to go truck off. Works for me. ?2 points

No they don't. It's just a small, vocal minority. The average Canadian isn't that stupid. That's hate speech blackbird. You should be ashamed of yourself. You actually took our PM's lowest, stupidest words and made them your own. Disgusting.2 points

Not at all. There are four conditions under which Charter rights may be suspended. They are emergency measures with a high threshold of necessity that require review and justification. The government could literally be dissolved right now by the Queen/GG on constitutional grounds. It would mean a mandated election. My guess is that right now there are ruminations within the Liberal Party of Canada about holding a leadership review. Chystia Freeland is probably more popular within the party. She is an outsider to the Tam-Duclos-Trudeau triumvirate that has blatantly turned over Canadian sovereignty to an international health organization to tell us when the pandemic is endemic and restrictions should be lifted. Freedom is a choice which a liberal democracy constitutional monarchy must defend. It took decades to replace the Family Compact. The Upper Canada Rebellon was about increasing rights and freedoms. William Mackenzie proposed that Ontario join the US over the issue of liberty. Know your history. Know the importance and value of our Charter.2 points
-
That’s BS. Thousands of truckers and regular Canadians, middle of the road people, are demanding the restoration of freedoms and respect for our constitution. You cannot maintain totalitarian measures indefinitely without accountability. Unfortunately the Liberal government of Canada refuses to remove its arbitrary draconian restrictions and mandates. The Liberals are labeling anyone who opposes mandates or vaccines as right-wing radicals. Regular everyday people at the centre of the political spectrum are seeing through the tactics to maintain government overreach. There is nothing radical or unreasonable about the arguments behind the truck convoy. However, if the government and the media they fund are able to sell this narrative of a threat (a new Red Menace to be put down as the Spanish Inquisition trampled on religious freedom), everyone loses because free speech loses. The Yanks won’t be able to bail out Canadians if Canadians are unwilling to defend rights and freedoms. Court challenges are coming due to current unconstitutional government measures There is no guarantee that these challenges will be successful. Mandate freedom2 points

"In the three months leading up to the 2021 election (between July and Sept.) Liberals say more than 57,100 contributors dished out $7.65 million, marking a record for the party. As of 1 p.m., a GoFundMe fund set up for the truckers on Jan. 14 surpassed this figure, raising $8 million"1 point

As voters in a democratic society we are responsible for the actions of the governments we empower. I've suggested outlawing in-camera lobbying to better facilitate the right of Canadians to know what is being discussed in our names behind closed doors where power, influence and wealth mingle. I also think it would do a lot to clean up the misinformation generated by a media that is as in the dark as us and that leaves us divided and inattentive to what's really important not to mention what's actually going on. Further to the above is not just our right to know but our responsibility to know. In actual fact our responsibility precedes our right. It shouldn't be a matter of what Ottawa allows at all and there is something fundamentally flawed in believing or saying it should matter given we're the ones who are empowering Ottawa in the first place. At the end of the day there are 38 million voters in charge of 338 MP's and only 35 of these are Cabinet Members so how hard can it really be to force a better eye on them? I suspect that question will come down to how partisan voters decide to be but before they do it would be wise to perhaps consider that the real divide in Canada is between the powerful and the powerless. Maybe a couple of other better questions for each of us to ask ourselves is whose side am I on and why?1 point

When an idiot comes on TV and threatens the government and country with armed rebellion and claiming that they have arms and ready to use them what else could it be. Those openly threatening the country's elected government by the use of arm should be prosecuted to the full extend of the law.1 point

How's that anger management course going?? As far as your sports analogy goes, in politics they can take legal action even if there is no chance the courts will do anything because people "might get angry". I think everything should be thoroughly investigated right out in the open. Nothing to hide is there? The Investigation Into Wisconsin’s Election Is More Critical Than Ever | MacIver Institute “The practical effect of these massive, privately manipulated election-office funding disparities was to create a ‘shadow’ election system with a built-in structural bias that systematically favored Democratic voters over Republican voters,” Doyle’s analysis concluded. “The massive influx of funds essentially created a high-powered, concierge-like get-out-the-vote effort for Biden that took place inside the election system, rather than attempting to influence it from the outside. “We call this the injection of structural bias into the 2020 election, and our analysis shows it likely generated enough additional votes for Biden to secure an Electoral College victory in 2020.”1 point

When the hospitals are overflowing with Covid patients and thousands of other people have had their heart and cancer surgeries cancelled or postponed, nurses and doctors are burnt out, and hospitals are running short of staff, we have a small percentage of the population going to Ottawa protesting that their rights are denied. Many outbreaks exist in senior's care homes across Canada as well. Yet these thousands of people going to the protest are demanding all restrictions and mandates be lifted so they can go back to living their life the way they want. What kind of picture does that send? We can see how self-centred and me first many are. They obviously could care less about those in our society who are older, those with health care issues, those on waiting lists that may be dying right now and the general population that could be threatened with Covid if there are no restrictions. I don't see anything redeeming at all about these protests.1 point

The great majority of population support the mandates and health restrictions. So having the anti-vaxxers and anti-mandate people from other countries join in the protest proves nothing. Also mobs of white supremacists, racists wearing yellow badges to hijack the Holocaust for their cause, doesn't mean anything and they don't govern Canada. These foreigners are actually just making things worse and generating more hate across the country. One guy using a big semi transport truck to block roads is not a democratic protest. It is civil disobedience.1 point

This is just the right blowing off some steam, the are tired of not being heard, This is Canada , nobody is storming any gates regardless of what flag they are flying...This will come and go and be forgotten in a week it is how Canada roles... the liberals will of course make a big deal out of it, blame it on the conservatives... , Ottawa's traffic problem will remain for a while, justin will tighten the screws on the west and the oil patch and shit will be back to normal And if Canadians wanted to storm the capitol with guns a blazing they would have done it long ago, Justin reign is not worth the effort......This is not the states we don't bring guns to fights, we bring beer, smokes, and dope maybe a hockey stick if things get out of hand...Now there may be one wingnut out of the bunch... but not going to storm the parliament, atleast not without getting shot by RCMP.1 point

https://covid-19.ontario.ca/data/hospitalizations There are almost equal number of ICU even though the number of vaccinated is 9 times higher and hospitalization only 3 times higher for vaccinated when their population is 9 times higher. Conclusions: It is 9 times higher to be in ICU and 3 times higher to hospitalize when unvaccinated, so what is nonsense?1 point

That's what I originally thought about CNN, back when they were putting out incendiary lies to keep the Michael Brown riots going, but after the rioting went away and the lying continued unabated I had to consider other reasons. Sadly I've come to the conclusion that news organizations are affiliated with political parties and their coverage of daily events isn't centred around truth, information or accuracy at all, it's about supporting the political narratives of their chosen party. Believe it or not, people are happier being lied to than they are to find out that the other party was right about something. Depending on what news station you watch the Suleimani drone strike was either a brilliant success or patricide. The Afghan withdrawal was a debacle or a stroke of military brilliance. Profits are the same regardless of which side a news corp takes because the stories are compelling enough either way. Riots are compelling. Whether they're awesome or criminal depends on your political stripe. At least they are if you're a leftist. If you're a conservative, riots are always bad.1 point

Quote “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.” Romans 13:1 God is of the highest authority. He is the one who created all other authority. This verse says that every soul should be subject to Him and His power. He has ordained each of those in authority, and they cannot do anything outside of His power. Trust Him and His authority over everyone and everything. Nothing surprises Him or worries Him. He always knows what to do. There is no authority on this earth that is there without the control of the Lord. He is still in charge whether the authority listens to Him or not. Unquote 15 Rewarding Bible Verses About Obedience (to God, Parents & the Law) (christianwalls.com) The Ottawa police announced those who break the law will be prosecuted. This is as it should be. The whole idea of opposing health regulations, restrictions, mandates, masks which have been authorized and ordered by authorities is wrong. Of course those who do not believe in God and the Bible are anarchists. Canada has more than it's share of these people as we are seeing. As I have said before, the turning away from God has it's consequences and a nation without God has no solid foundation and can descend into chaos, anarchy, and self destruct.1 point

I hope she recovers quickly. It sounds a lot like my sister's reactions. The first jab was bad for her - lots of the same reactions as your wife. But they told her - No big deal, get the second shot. (This is common. They do not care if you had a reaction to the first shot, they insist you get the second one.) The second one was worse - she said, like looking down a black tunnel, no peripheral vision, vertigo, extreme fatigue, migraine for days, the worst she's had, she said. Sweating, fever, numbness in extremities. Public Health told her not to get any boosters. It's supposed to be noted on her record, but it would surprise me if it actually was. She is still extremely fatigued, vertigo, debilitating migraines. She knows that when they force the boosters, she will have to not comply or die. It's a very unsettling feeling when you realize your government is trying to kill you..... Edit: She tells everyone now that she would've rather gotten covid and been done with it in a couple days, like the vast majority of people in her age group. This has been over 6 months of dealing with the adverse reactions, so she makes a good point. But not a point any of the vax-Nazis are interested in. They don't care one iota about people like her or the ones who've died from the jabs or the children with myocarditis that now face a 50% chance of dying in the next 5 years. But ya, it's the rest of us that are the selfish radical demented lunatics.1 point

A long interview but well worth the time. Brian Peckford is the only remaining drafter of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. -Peckford provides a solid analysis of the Charter and how governments have trampled the Charter. -Peckford will be launching a lawsuit against the Federal government for their travel ban, keeping unvaccinated Canadians off public transportation. -The Government has abused the Emergency Measures section of the Charter. No challenges in parliament have occurred. -His decision to circumvent the news media is because there's no major news outlet who'd give fairness to the arguments. The news media has recieved 6million tax payer dollars, placing them in a position where they aren't able to criticize government. -Conversations with senior provincial advisors have been had and policy isn't driven by the science but rather short term opinion polling. -Media is driving opinion polling through ads and coverage which is basically just state television/propaganda -Trudeau Sr tried a power play by going to the courts and unilaterally tried passing a Charter but was struck down.1 point
