It looks like there will be a large truckers convoy starting in BC and rolling through to Ottawa to oppose Trudeau's vile vaccine mandates for the trucking industry. We are in for a rough ride as as many as 40k trucks will come off the road because of sock boys stupidity. https://canada-unity.com/bearhug/2 points

No, you're just trying to run the board here. And you sir are not everyone, you just seem to think you are. You heard my position, it's merely not the one you rehearsed in your mirror to argue against and you're soiling yourself over that. I'm not Canadian. Ya'll can manage Canada. Just like you get jack fuck all to say about what we do here in america. Why otherwise, that would be one nation exerting tyranny over another and we know how you hate tyranny, right? To refuse to do stupid human tricks for you is something you should expect from me. I spent over 3 decades in biomedical research and the drug hunting game in pharmaceutical, academic, CRO, and pharmaceutical-academic partnership settings. I assure you I cannot find a way in which to care less if you get vaxxed or not, die from COVID, or drink bleach and shove a light bulb up your ass or swallow horse de-wormer upon contracting COVID. My position is, you're no authority I would ever pay any attention to.2 points

The great thing about watching you implode on here is that anyone who reads these threads with a modicum of good sense will see how controlling and punitive you are. Its ridiculousness just affirms the importance of removing restrictions and restoring freedoms. Your pitch is unsupportable, even from the left. Even Bill Maher said that Omicron’s spread among the vaccinated has proven that vaccines are about protecting yourself, not others. Mandates are unnecessary overreach. Masks fall in the same category. We got vaccinated in order to drop restrictions, not to have both. The only way to get past restrictions and mandates is to drop them. The treatments and protections are there. It’s about political will. I’d say that politicians are having an increasingly hard time defending positions like yours.2 points

Health experts in BC say they will consider COVID and especially Omicron as a cold. Only the obese and the very old are at risk. Restricting everyone is dumb.2 points

Who would win the primaries? I'd personally opt for De Santis. What about those who vote Dems or are Independents, who would you vote for?1 point

O'Toole is just Trudeau lite. Not fiscally conservative. Not socially conservative. He may as well just run for the Liberal party1 point

I don't need to cite a peer-reviewed scientific study just to say that fully vaccinated people are getting covid. That's not how it works. Dr Fauci said it. CNN said it. CBC said it. Fox said it. Dr Bonnie Henry said it in BC. Dr Tam said it in Canada. You're not looking for proof, you're trolling. If you want more proof then find it yourself.1 point

Meh, that's irrelevant. "Commie" is a Pavlovianly conditioned trigger term.1 point

It's whining not whinging. Gore didn't WHINE too much after his lengthy court battle ended. Hillary is another story, she's still going on after the 2016 shocker. Biden is apparently questioning whether the 2022 midterm elections will be illegitimate if his voting rights bill isn't passed. That's the bill that does away with voters having to produce ID in order to vote. Biden Draws Criticism After Raising Prospect of Illegitimate 2022 Election - WSJ Please use spell check!1 point

They already got COVID dude. You just typed it. What is the issue of having a staff member that has COVID if the patient already has it?1 point

Well I am trying to point out, the idea of choice is relative based on both outcomes. For example: work at this factory or die, I believe is not a choice, work at this factory or receive a physical beating every day, still not a choice. If one of the outcomes is the threat of force or death, it is not a choice.1 point

they forced me to get vaccinated to keep my job government mandates forcing my employers to mandate it even though I already had covid and have natural immunity stop pretending no one is being forced to do anything they don't want to do that is obvious bullshit1 point

no need for vaccine mandates, antivax taxes and lockdowns then I have no issues with people making their own decisions I have issues with people forcing others to make the same decisions they do treating the unvaccinated as untermensch is unacceptable just leave them alone and there would be no issue the government punishing people for making choices they don't like is the problem and they are pandering to masses who support that bullshit1 point

I think it’s because, though we have some very helpful scientific data, we also have some inconclusive data. Even on the conclusive data there are a variety of choices we can make as to how to proceed, because politicians have to weigh the threat of Covid and the options to deal with it against a number of other human interests/needs. Man does not live by bread alone. Man does not order one’s entire life around fighting one transmissible ailment. No government should have the right to subordinate rights and freedoms to one health risk, especially one that is diminishing as our treatments improve of a relatively mild variant.1 point

And this can be the final practical, factual proof, given the promises made and hopes raised that there can be no such thing as an enlightened, benevolent technocracy. No, it always begins with "for the common good" and inevitably winds to "yes, we know what's good for you, no, no questions allowed and we insist". A human herd just cannot handle the condition of unlimited, unchecked power. There's no immunity.1 point

Over the past couple years you've heard politicians from all over use the platform "Build Back Better". You've heard this platform from Boris Johnson in Britain, Sleepy Joe Biden in the United States, Trudeau in Canada, New Zealand, the United Nations and other places. What exactly are we building? A society where you cant leave your homes past 10pm like in Quebec? Where you can't sit in a restaurant without injecting a foreign substance into your arm or access public transit or hold a job. Seems like a marriage between government and corporations where if you don't go along with the flavor of the day whether it be the climate change hoax, BLM, face rags, etc. you can't stay employed. What's next? Losing ability to use banks if you don't pledge your allegiance to the wokesters?1 point

Haven't a clue what you're talking about and best guess says that makes 2 of us. I'm hearing about the "Democrat voting plantation" and the societal impact of the fatherless black family from blacks like Jesse Lee Peterson and Candace Owens.1 point

Definately not. I don't recall them still whinging 12 months after the event or orchestrating a violent attack on the capitol or being dragged through a inquiry to justify it like trump. Aren't you pleased you asked a stupid question? I am.1 point

Why now, up until now they have been exempt to allow the free flow of goods, to not cause more stress on the supply chain...So what has changed, well supply chain is still getting worse, already a massive shortage of drivers, why would we need further restrictions now that will only make things much worse... This is just another example of what the government can screw up on both sides of the border..1 point

The problem with "build back better" is it implies dismantling the old structure. I didn't mind most of what I grew up with. We Canadians and Americans had it pretty good and don't assume I'm white. As to privilege that genuinely privileged crowd will not only still be privileged, they'll be more privileged, regardless of colour, after they've sucked the gullibles into their "build back better" scheme.1 point

What sock boy doesn’t get is that there will never be enough vaccinations to end Covid, because the continuation of the pandemic has nothing to do with the actual health impacts of the virus anymore. Now we have to contend with additional inflation of trucking costs when inflation was already soaring. Dumb and irresponsible policies that will only raise the cost of living. End these ridiculous and ineffectual mandates and restrictions immediately.1 point

Given the way many people think they can mind-read and make assumptions about motive, I would say this isn't really reassuring. Officially, I oppose Israel's continued annexation of Palestinian land. I have nothing against Jews, and I have no problem with Isreal having their own land. But they should stick to their borders, defending if need be, but not moving settlers into land already populated by Palestinians. For that reason, I would support BDS.1 point

No. You have the same relationship with your employer that all employees have always had with their employers throughout history. If/when your employer asks of you something you find personally untenable, you have two choices; comply or seek employment elsewhere. You made a choice. Stop whining about it, nothing's changed. And if this COVID business is the very first time your employer has requested you be vaxxed against something they don't want sweeping through the work force, you're way behind most others. Now, tell us all how you determined your waning level of "natural immunity". You're aware that fades over time, yeah?0 points

Diabolical?! Hahaha. This is no overreach. Nobody's forcing you to get vaccinated. If you want to stew in your own rage and ignorance at home go right ahead. You're not losing any of your freedoms. You're being prevented from posing a real and measurable risk to other people's health. You can rant and ramble about how unfair and unjustified you think that is, but your own delusions and ignorance have little to no bearing on fact-based decision making.0 points
