  2. Carney, Ford discussed idea of an early federal election to secure majority, sources say - The Globe and Mail So that lying sack of crap Carney indeed was thinking about going to the polls and getting his majority and Doug Ford was supporting him. And l love the whole "i totally think carney should go to the polls and get a majority but please don't think that means i'm endorsing him" routine. The liberals are going to do whatever it takes to try and lock in 4 years where they don't have to be accountable.

  3. Shows the man's descent into madness. Claiming out of the blue that something Canada paid for and already agreed to share is somehow ripping off the USA, how he assumes any right or authority to shut it down and in the same post claims China will end hockey in Canada. The ravings of a lunatic and anyone who doesn't think the 25th Amendment should be invoked ASAP is equally insane.

  8. Bedbug sightings have been a recurring issue in federal office buildings across the National Capital Region, often coinciding with debates over return-to-office mandates. https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/business/2026/02/09/conditions-inside-federal-office-buildings-are-horrendous-psac-president-says/#:~:text=A directive issued last week,in a statement Monday afternoon. Okay I get it, these sightings are apparently isolated incidents but it still begs the question, why do they need beds in federal office buildings and how many beds are we talking about?

  11. Carney is promising to make Canada an energy superpower. I can cut him some slack for not being aware that his predecessor had previously said that we were already an energy superpower(Carney was living in another country). Trudeau failed, as will Carney. In other news, Trump spouts off again about the new bridge, which helps Carney...again🙄 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxijK1oILkc (How net zero destroyed Britain) It'll destroy us too.

  12. No, they ruled on the request, which they denied unanimously. The Minnesota District Chief Judge had already written opinions on that request, and the appeals panel cited him in their decision. A couple samples of his response: The five people whom the government seeks to arrest are accused of entering a church, and the worst behavior alleged about any of them is yelling horrible things at the members of the church. None committed any acts of violence.” .... (3) The government lumps all eight protestors together and says things that are true of some but not all of them. Two of the five protestors were not protestors at all; instead, they were a journalist and his producer. There is no evidence that those two engaged in any criminal behavior or conspired to do so.

  13. It's pretty much the left's religion Doesn't sound remotely conservative. Conservatives building create now to improve the future. Only liberals think that impoverishing people now will improve the future, it just makes the future poor Sure it's very simple. You remove the resources, you sell them to people who are going to buy them from someone anyway, you use the money and time to transition to newer technology as it becomes available and you don't try and force technology that isn't ready down people's throats Not complex.

  14. Just like people who are black who were born in America 200 years after slavery ended can't explain why they deserve reparations today. And you may not have heard this but there were actually some things that were done by European people more recently than 3,000 years ago

  17. 1. Yes, I have been doing this a lot recently. 2. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. In any case, even if you were right then that observation wouldn't translate to any conclusions about 'pride'. I will absolutely concur with your point that people are naturally AFRAID of different skin colours in certain contexts, specifically if they have no experience with them and probably if they're past the formative age. Case in point, the story of my great aunt who ran out of an elevator in Montreal in the 1950s when a black man got in. Not a woke person. I, on the other hand, had a black family friend when I was a toddler - shortly after that era and had an affinity for black folks thereafter. And there were basically no black folks in Toronto (my neighbourhood) at that time. 3. Absolutely I concur. 4. I concur. 5. I concur here also. Back to the question of 'Pride'... it's a pretty foggy notion. I can be 'proud' of my city but I had nothing to do with building it. I can be 'proud' of my skin colour but it's not an achievement either. We need to separate things we can really proud about - maybe a new word - such as achievement of ourselves or our family.

  18. Male students show more tolerance for political enemies than females show for their own allies The data, taken from FIRE’s annual College Free Speech Rankings, reveals that overall tolerance for opposing views is low among both male and female students — but the males consistently display far more tolerance than females, regardless of their politics. In fact, with the exception of male libertarians, who are slightly more tolerant, men of all political ideologies have roughly the same level of tolerance as each other. The same is true of women. What this graph shows us is that white-conservative-christian-strait-rich males are far superior to everyone else. It's a joke people. But not really. Conservative and conservative men are the most tolerant of all the sexes/ideologies. It is science, so you know the left will attack me.

  19. Yeah but they have a history of getting a little more tough when they haven't got food. The problem is the older people all have pensions or some species of security and like I said economic downturns don't tend to impact them as much. But a lot of them are fixed income and they are watching those grocery prices rise. Some will be bought off with the GST checks but others realize that's a limited time thing

  21. How exactly I'm supposed to automatically assume 'skin colour' is what you meant by denomination is beyond me. In any case, explain to me why identifying with similar skin colour is rational OR instinctual. People evolved in tribes and rarely warred with people from different climates. What constitutes an outsider is in question and - yes - it could be skin colour, but also religion, nationality and uncountable other things. So I will keep my point - there's no true pride in being any race, sexual identity, nationhood or somesuch. You were born into it, AFAIC.

  24. People are 'trained' to denominate in many ways with the possible exception of tribe and family. Why would humans evolve to feel kinship with something called a 'nation' which is a pretty recent invention ? Edited to add a ridiculous example: I went to the Corvette Museum, I think in Kentucky... about 30 years ago. They showed a video of those large car rallies, and interviewed the organizer... he actually said "Corvette people are good people" Like... buying one of those cars means you're part of his tribe therefore good. People using their minds is too much to ask in such an environment, my two cents.

  25. https://www.cbc.ca/player/play/video/9.7082246 Liberals, Conservatives in behind-the-scenes talks to avoid spring election: sources "Liberals and Conservatives are working out a path that could keep the government in power, sources tell CBC News, while Prime Minister Mark Carney continues to downplay the likelihood of a spring election." https://toronto.citynews.ca/2008/09/07/why-did-harper-force-an-election/ "In calling the election, Harper ignored his own fixed-election-date law — legislation he’d explicitly pitched as a means of stopping prime ministers from calling snap votes whenever the political tide felt favourable." As much as I'd love to see PeePee lose again, there will be no snap election.

  26. And somehow they managed to bamboozle entire populations.... not into believing it (many didn't and still don't), but into actually doing it despite that. There was a conspicuous and palpable absence of political (and moral) courage when it was most needed. That's the part that utterly gob smacks me. Woke progressives should have been slammed into the mats on first contact.... and by their own political party. As this tsunami breaks and a light is shone on the evil they defended, the Herbs of the world will curl their little tails between their legs and disavow their own participation in. and defence of, one of the greatest evils ever systemically perpetrated against minor children. Initially, they'll argue that the numbers are small and the greater good prevailed regardless... then crickets. Hopefully the woke police find themselves wearing their own handcuffs but I don't think we'll see that happening. So... I'm willing to settle for the psychologists and surgeons who actually gave evil hands and a face... they should expect the handcuffs to be tighter than normal. https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/liz-peek-trans-fever-over-america-reckoning-damage-done The trans fever is over — and America is reckoning with the damage done

  34. What we've failed to do in the past is now coming back to haunt us. Canada is a resource rich country full of the kinds of resources most of the rest of the world is scrambling for more than ever. Yet we have no plans to extract the resources out of the earth or the infrastructure to get them to market. And on top of that we have all these fu*king laws which makes it almost impossible to do so. Sorry, but Carney flying around the world signing MOU's isn't going to replace losing the U.S. as a major trading partner all by itself. To put it simply, our economy is on life support, and GDP indicates we're close to being in recession. What we have to do should be glaringly obvious to any observer.

  36. It might be but there is a great deal more than zero evidence So far the evidence does not reach high enough to say that with certainty was stolen. But there is a huge volume of evidence to suggest there was election fraud. And there is a great deal of evidence to suggest that more fraud could very well have happened and gone undetected. So we would be dishonest in the extreme to say that there is no evidence. About the best you can say at this point is the evidence is not compelling one way or another

The African American says "i not wearing any panties at all!!" The other women ask how's that going to help! The African American replies "well if we crash the 1st thing they are going to look for is the black box!!"

  38. If they're so useless why did the other nuclear powers bother? If you are saying that nuclear weapons have no deterrent effect then you're stepping outside of your military knowledge and entering into political knowledge which is something that I have a lot more experience with than military. Nuclear weapons are absolutely a deterrent. And they absolutely do limit the size and nature of attacks. I would refer you to the attacks we saw in the 60s and 70s where their opponents attempted to destroy Israel in a very serious fashion. Since acquiring nuclear weapons that has never happened. They will harass and pressure Israel but they make certain never to threaten its existence for fear of retaliation. Russia and china, are two biggest components, but certainly be very reluctant to set foot on Canadian soil if they knew that there might be a nuclear exchange We absolutely can afford to have a small nuclear arsenal. And it should be considered.

  39. We are permitted under international trade rules, to do sole source contracts in cases of national security. I don't think we'd have a difficult time justifying doing a bunch of them right now to buy subs, helicopters, tanks, anti-aircraft and antiarmor missiles, armored vehicles, etc. Given the international situation, that is exactly what we should be doing, should have already done.

  40. Same was said of Ukrainians. Nobody thought they would dare to stand up to Russia. Like Canada they barely had a military and hadn’t seen a real war in genertions…simce ww2 actually. Everyone knows that’s just more of his random lies and bullshit gibberish. He said that ONCE in a response to a reporter who was accurately pointing out that his pressure tactics were backfiring and getting Liberals elected as a backlash. And because he can’t admit his mistakes he lies and says he did it on purpose, which makes zero sense. His own national security strategy calls for undermining liberal governments in Europe and supporting far right fringe parties.
