  1. Man robs a bank, runs down the street to his house, police find him and arrest him. Robo- "POOR HELPLESS PEOPLE ARE BEING DRAGGED FROM THEIR HOMES........." First off there are plenty of black people in Latin America, you are a disgusting racist. Second off if they're US citizens they're released immediately. So no problem, families aren't being separated, terrible things aren't happening, for taking into custody or citizenship is verified and they're released Sorry Robo, you got caught lying again

  2. No, there are a number of people here I don't agree with that I haven't put on ignore. I put you on ignore because I have little time or desire to listen to your non-stop and typically argumentative 10 paragraph replies or comments. I'm glad you finally figured this out after the month or two it's been. Hopefully it'll save you the time of continuing to talk to yourself. Now, back to ignore... 👋

  3. Admittedly, you're probably right about it extending to more issues than I realize but it seems to me that sanctuary issues have evolved into more than a simple lack of cooperation, it's now active and deliberate obstruction that extends to areas I wouldn't have expected... like ignoring officer assistance requests in an emergency. That's breaking new ground and I'd be surprised if we don't see pushback on it from police services within the sanctuary jurisdiction itself. I don't have time to pursue this now and I'll be away for a bit but in the mean time here's a link to a "Congressional Research Service" overview that takes a condensed dive into some of the legal issues and machinations on both sides of the issue. I thought it was interesting but that might just be me. Cheers https://www.congress.gov/crs_external_products/LSB/PDF/LSB11321/LSB11321.1.pdf Ya... it's a naked link Robo, cover your eyes.

  4. This might shock you, but I couldn't care less what Uber Eats thinks. And if they can't find drivers and go bankrupt that will cause me not a second of sadness. Just not in Canada. What is their fair share of taxes? From what even Trudeau said, just about half the population pays no income tax at all. They might pay sales tax, but they get GST refunds. They used to get carbon tax refunds, too. I guarantee you that none of these people is paying nearly as much as they take from the government in services and benefits. Small businesses, including those in big cities hiring foreign workers? If you want to fund activist and lobby groups, YOU fund them. I want to fund health care instead. Cite? Evidence? It's about hiring and promoting people who aren't good enough to make it on merit. The problem with you people on the Left is you're so blind to what's been going on that the only time you ever hear of anything is when Trump talks about it. But Trump has no new ideas. He just takes what people have been complaining about and runs with it. He didn't invent the resentment about colleges and universities refusing to hire anyone but social justice activists or slanting their rules and courses to the far left. Nor are those talking about it here imitating Trump. We've been talking about it for years. That you would suggest this is us 'being political' says to me that you think everything that's taught from the perspective of the far left is oky-doky, and only those who want to pull that narrative further to the centre are wrong. You probably support freedom of speech too - as long as it's not speech you disagree with.

  5. Republicans: Killed drug runners Deported illegal aliens Found a bunch of wast fraud and abuse Democrats: Faked Russian collusion intelligence Used faked intelligence to impeach a president Spied on Republican senators Spied on incoming president Used FBI to investigate parents at school board meetings Used FBI to investigate Catholic Church as a political enemy Illegally appointed a special council Committed three acts of banana republic style persecution on a former President Used the CIA, FBI and White House to strong arm sociak media companies into censoring citizens Allowed millions of illegal aliens into the country, gave them free health care, housing, food and spending money while registering them to vote And @robosmith has the nerve to suggest the people that voted for Republicans are blindly following the party? Of course he does.

  6. but but but but gender is FLUID! It's a social construct! IF you can change the first time, why wouldn't your gender be able to change a second time? Or 10 times? Fact is there are real cases of gender disphoria that need to be addressed over time but a LOT of the cases are people being pushed into making decisions by medical "professionals" and lgbtq activist types that they shouldn't have made and then regretting it, and those people don't want that fact exposed.

Honestly, though, this rhetoric is a threat to every conservative member of this forum and every conservative in the United States. You don't try to kill us because we are Nazis. 10. These aren't really peace talks or a deal. It's an ultimatum. Or at the very least, an offer any sane people can't refuse. The Israeli objective from day 1, was to destroy Hamas in all ways, shapes, or forms. Basically, if Hamas isn't removed, Israel gets the blessings of the U.S. to go in and finish the job they set out to do.

  11. Doesn't matter what you want. Billions of people around the world depend on oil products for everything. If you don't like it, stop using it yourself and set an example of how it would be done without any oil products....LOL Maybe try living in a cave and eating off the land like the bears do. See how you like it.

  12. America's credibility remains intact...Trumps credibility is the one taking the hit..... To many nations waiting for America credibility to slip so they may take advantage...The only thing keeping them all in check is the threat of the American military machine... What has kept this war for going on so long is the reluctance of the US and NATO to provide Ukraine with the latest in state of the art weapons in large numbers...and them trying not to upset the Russians....

  17. Sounds like you're suggesting that the Biden Administration (DOJ) didn't bother to look for any connections to Trump out of simple courtesy and an effort to save him any potential embarrassment. Possible I guess but I would suggest that it's unlikely based on logic, previous experience and knowledge of local waters. Since you sound pretty sure of it maybe you could prove me wrong. In the mean time, the monkey seems to think that: YOU'RE LYING. That's why you have NO SPECIFICS, just WILD GRATUITOUS ALLEGATIONS. I tried to convince him otherwise but ya know how it is with those damn monkeys... right?

  18. Not many care if you use Uber Eats or not but Uber Eats and most every other business cares if they have people that want to work for them. Think about it for a minute... you're buying sh1t they're processing, packaging and delivering and if they're not there to do that you'll...go pick it up, or? In Canada too. What ever the federal and provincial income tax rates are is their fair share. Just like anyone else who earns taxable income in Canada. Also don't think they're getting any sales tax discounts on things they buy so they're paying that just like us. What government services are they bilking? What are you talking about funding activists... Small business employs about 11M people. That's a big deal. Read your posts. No it's not. It's about including everyone regardless of... You guys are just Trump's minions going with whatever the narrative is. Yes I support free speech, even if I don't agree with it.

  19. Is it your position that political figures should not be subject to investigation when they are reasonably suspected of criminal activity? This is exactly like the bogus claim that Obama spied on Trump. When in fact the FBI was spying on Russian intelligence operatives--and it just so happens that the Trump campaign kept contacting them. You know, to super secretly share totally casual information. 🙄

  20. Eh, I think we're already on crazy island. January 6? Third term? Department of War practicing on Democratic cities? At any rate, this lack of cooperation is just part of the tension inherent in a federal system, and it happens, perhaps, a lot more than you may realize. Marijuana is legal in 24 states now, but still a schedule one drug generally--still a federal crime. There is no state enforcement assistance for that which is legal in the state. Some states have stricter gun laws on the books that federal laws, but the ATF isn't out enforcing state standards. The 10th amendment says that's fine--the federal government can't force state or city LEOs to do federal enforcement--and we've lived that way for a couple hundred years. Because immigration has been hyped into a hot-button issue at the moment, people seem to have forgotten that a lack of cooperation on points of legal disagreement between state and federal government is our status quo. That's our normal. Not some kind of escalation. Some states have determined that their citizens are safer and better off if pot is regulated and visible instead of being driven into the criminal underground. Some jurisdictions have similarly decided that their citizens are safer and better off if undocumented immigrants are visible and compliant rather than being driven into the criminal underground. They want these people to stop for the police, not run from them. They want witnesses to share information and testimony when they are investigating a crime, rather than hiding. They want people to send their kids to school rather than forcing them into the streets for gang recruitment. Surely that makes sense from the state and city perspective, no? It's not to spite the federal government, it's simply to govern more effectively. To do what is best for the people living there.

  29. True. DEI does not 'include' anyone. You cannot bring people together by dividing them. All it does is spread the impression that these groups are too incompetent and useless to get employed on their own. And it makes it look like people who were hired that are really good at their jobs actually only got hired because of the color of their skin or what's between their legs etc. That promotes prejudice; it doesn't resolve it. And what about the people this place and told that they're not allowed to apply because of the color of their skin? You think they're going to be less racist? What happens is those people go away frustrated and then when they're online telling others about how angry they are that they couldn't even apply for a job groups that are more radical can take advantage of that and say "Yeah, those diversity groups hate people like you, you better join with us so that we can present to united front". And just like that we've got people dividing even further. D e I is an exercise in hatred, division, bigotry, and exclusion. There is nothing inclusive about it

  30. He also seems to think that our Canadian productivity is going up and that companies are investing in better technology. Sadly report after report and study after study says the exact opposite. While other countries are massively improving their productivity through technology, we are barely keeping up in the slightest with even old technology never mind the best of the new technology Today, the Competition Bureau published the findings of an in-depth study ꟷ Competition in Canada from 2000 to 2020: An Economy at a Crossroads ꟷ which tracks a decline in Canada’s competitive intensity over the last two decades. 35. I'd gladly trade you for a 6 pack of new immigrants. Canada looks at immigration numbers every year in consultation with provinces and business. Less people in our economy means more pressure on our social programs with the lesser taxation. Canada needs to allow as many immigrants as the data results say. Whether you agree or not is irrelevant because it needs to happen.

  37. Yes, Americans were attacked while Trump was president. Those weren't love rockets generously gifted to the bases by Trump's friends in the Taliban. The person who owns the surrender is the person who surrendered: Donald Trump. Trump effectively gave the Taliban the whole damn country, and you, being a sniveling toady, want to whine about Biden leaving one indefensible base that didn't even have enough troops to hold it. Jeebus, you're spineless.

  38. The Achaemenids were absolute monarchs. While tolerant of ethnoreligious diversity they still ruled with an iron fist otherwise. And those Arab invaders were lucky to catch the Sassanids at a vulnerable moment in their debilitating wars with the Byzantine Empire. Iran should have stayed Zoroastrian. At the very least it should welcome the Parsees back. They have done so well in India and elsewhere in all sorts of endeavours, eg Cyrus Mistry, Freddie Mercury, and they may soon disappear entirely. Of course, there’s no hope of Islam disappearing but one could hope for a spiritual leader like Sistani in Iraq who seems to generally avoid interfering in politics. Indeed there’s no reason why something like the Ismaili version of Islam couldn’t be more widely adopted that is more compatible with modern life.

  40. I'm a realist. More importantly, I've met and worked with and lived among some of these people. I am regularly appalled at their ignorance, and often by their superstitious religious nonsense and openly expressed contempt for others (which I'm quite sure includes me and mine when they talk with their own kind). You routinely call white people racist for things that you would hear from almost all newcomers and just smile at. Like that appeals court in BC deciding an indigenous person had a lower level of moral culpability for violently attacking a person for no reason than, you know, a civilized person. If you were really opposed to racism, you'd want to stop such people from coming to Canada.
