  2. That's why I called us "previously" reliable...until the old Reform Party losers and the culture-war assclowns took over the Party. Because you really couldn't get a much starker contrast than Carney to Trudeau. You're comparing a spoiled and empty-headed dandy who'd never had a real job in his life, to a big-brain economics PhD who keeps getting sought out and recruited to hold some of the most prestigious positions in his field. Reality exists beyond what the Conservative spin room is telling you, FYI.

  3. What have you ever seen that gave you the impression that leftists don't like violence? Was it their fervent support of the arson, looting, assaults and murders during the BLM riots, the shooting of Republican congressmen at a baseball game, the death threats against Trump, support for the death threats against Trump, the assassination attempts against Trump, the support for the assassination attempts against Trump, the attacks on Tesla dealerships, their support of MS-13, their support of Tren De Aragua, their support of Hamas, their support of police beating up peaceful protesters in Canada after they surrendered on their knees, their support of Kamala's bail fund to get rioters back on the streets in Minnesota, their lust for the senseless war in Ukraine which isn't even moving the goalposts anymore, their support of forcing healthy young people to take a dangerous injection that doesn't even do anything for them...?

  9. Actually, a DNC insider is the one that released that information: https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2025/02/10/former_dnc_official_lindy_li_.html Lindy Li is a former regional chair and fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee who worked on Joe Biden's 2020 presidential campaign but has since raised funds for President Trump's inaugural committee. ... So who was running the Biden White House? "Steve Ricchetti, Anita Dunn. Mike Donilon. Ron Klain. Jeff Zients. Bob Bauer, Biden's personal lawyer," former DNC fundraiser Lindy Li said. "I’m going to get in so much trouble for saying all this -- please give me credit for it -- but these are the people who ran our country for the last four years." Border Czar' Tom Homan: Biden Was The First President Who Ever "Unsecured The Border On Purpose. This money went to Hamas: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-56665199 https://newamericangovernment.org/biden-officials-ignored-state-dept-warning-that-funding-palestinians-would-lead-to-hamas-attacks/ “A March 2021 internal State Department document that was obtained by the Washington Free Beacon earlier this year and verified by Fox News Digital shows officials privately communicating their concerns that a Biden administration plan to unfreeze over $360 million in U.S. funds for the Palestinian Authority could risk benefiting terror groups, a trade-off the officials argued was necessary for national security,” the report said. “We assess there is a high risk Hamas could potentially derive indirect, unintentional benefit from U.S. assistance to Gaza. There is less but still some risk U.S. assistance would benefit other designated groups,” the State Department wrote in the document. “Notwithstanding this risk, State believes it is in our national security interest to provide assistance in the West Bank and Gaza to support the foreign policy objectives.” Scott Smith was found guilty of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in August after he was filmed being dragged by police from the Loudoun County School Board meeting on June 22. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail, all suspended, contingent on a year of good behavior, Loudoun Now reported at the time. They arrested and prosecuted a dad because he dared challenge the school board for covering up that his daughter was sexually assaulted as a result of their policies. Thats just one example. ... I have to stop here. Maybe i can pick this up later.

  10. This is a bright spot in the political landscape. Canadians are generally very decent people and it's great to see them reject MAGA/MCGA in favor of decency. It's unfortunate that it takes watching the US fall apart to remind other democracies to protect what they have.

  11. Alberta has no inherent right to Canadian soil, including Canadian oil in that soil. Canada gave Alberta jurisdiction over certain things, like resources, as a province of Canada. https://williamgairdner.ca/does-any-province-of-canada-have-a-right-to-separate/ The land-area now controlled by Alberta was recognized as falling under Alberta jurisdiction as a province of Canada, and not as a separate country. […] Canada’s own Supreme Court, after the last Quebec debacle, issued an opinion that a UDI is not possible in Canada. To wit: “the Constitution does not permit unilateral secession: Canada is a federal state based on constitutional government – and subject to the rule of law. The courts have a duty to uphold that Constitution – and to ensure that no level of government exceeds its powers. Secession would affect the structure and scope of that Constitution – so it would require constitutional amendments,” Canada would have as much right to decide what lands belong to a nation called Alberta as Alberta does. Canada would also have a duty to the citizens who voted against secession and wish to remain citizens of a province in Canada. Alberta secession is just a fantasy. A fantasy of an aggrieved few who aren’t mature enough to deal with not getting their way in politics It’s pathetic. Even if Carney fails as PM, there is no solution by seceding from Canada.

  12. IMO...I don't think the Libbies even care what the issue is. Most of them know its a bad idea to allow millions of people to waltz across the border. They know men in dresses are still men as well. No Sir...I think they take any position that is opposite to that of Trump. If Trump says the sky is blue...they say its red. Trump loves the Stars and Stripes...they burn it. And then there's the ACLU...what a pack o' hypocrites. Bought and paid for globalist junkies. I hope the trashing of USAID bankrupts those sick fcks.

  13. Sorry, but nobody's twisting your words. You've just brought up the damage Trudeau did "under Carney", as if Justin was dancing to his tune, or something. Give me a break. Are we to believe that you read his book? 🙄 Yes, we know. That's called blind partisanship. You view everything as an all-or-nothing battle of Good vs Evil, and that everything the bad people (Liberals) say or do is by-default wrong in your mind, while you believe in and support basically everything the Good Guys say, regardless of how dumb it is.

  14. PP is the greatest. He brought the party to 20 pts ahead of the Liberals. Then they brought in the banker World Economic Forum globalist and climate change U.N. guy and Trump scared a lot of the people into falling for the banker. Even after that PP brought the number of seats of the Cons up by a significant number. He deserves credit for that. PP lost his own seat because his opponent spent the last couple years door knocking while PP was busy doing all the hard work leading the party and the Cons campaign and didn't have all the time in the world to spend knocking on doors. He sacrificed his own seat for the good of the party.

  15. It’s hilarious how you puppets can reset your brain like that. You’ll recall that when the economy was firing on all cylinders LAST YEAR Trump claimed it was because the markets knew Trump was going to win the election and his golden age had already started. You remember that don’t you? Second it’s a plain objective fact that the primary cause of this economic shrinkage is Trump’s tariffs. Teump is an incompetent disaster

  24. Jag proved he was all about the pension. He intentions were never about forming a gov. Just a activist party, that sold thier souls to Trudeau. They need a leader who wants to form a gov,not just back the liberals. Do it right and bring carney down in 18 months and become the official opp to the cons.

  25. The only reason I would begrudge him for his pension is the fact that the Cons campaigned against Singh because of his MP pension. The hypocrisy of that was so crass. And the lickspittle Conservatives supporters couldn’t even see the hypocrisy of holding his pension against him while PP and co. accumulate their own. At least Singh held an actual job before he became a politician, unlike PP.

  27. Well... no, due process is not defined as "day in court" We already have completely lawful process of expedited removals. Suppose a border patrol agent is literally there at the border and someone comes across illegally and they get arrested for doing so. In that case, the border patrol doesn't have to take them to court and wait for 6 months of appeals from the ACLU to run their course before deporting them. You guys are not interested in due process or a day in court as much as you are simply invested in seeing open borders madness continue and trying to fight the deportation of folks here illegally as much as you can.

  30. Oh yes, you're usual admission that you know someone's right but you can't cope with it I know that you liberal and left-wing types like to believe that money is endless. If you don't have enough you can just print as much as you like or if necessary tax the rich That's not how it works. In the real world money is finite and you have to set priorities. And your priorities were too slow the economy down by introducing a carbon tax which actually didn't reduce any carbon. And a host of other programs that did nothing but make things worse. If you felt this was more important than that's where you should have been demanding that the money be put. This is your doing. I've been saying that for decades

  31. If anything it was the CBC that he "outwitted", but the CBC wanted Carney anyways. It's like the fish just jumped in the boat, and all the CBC had to do was whack it over the head with an oar. In the end, maybe we can all win. If the west separates (Sask and AB) then Canada will definitely have one-party rule.

  32. Typical right wing bullshit, you can't treat any issue at all without getting it out there that whatever it is lefties are guilty of everything. Fùck off. Conservatives constantly stand in the path of reconciliation with First Nations. If Canada needs sanctions against it for human rights abuses then bring them on it STFU. You know full well I've said no truck nor trade with China or any other nation that drags its ass on cleaning up its human rights act for as long as you've known me. Don't you remember? NO TRUCK NOR TRADE! I've only said so a thousand times. Did you think I was just lying to you? That doesn't ring a bell, at all? It's just a lie?

  36. TreeBeard said: He blew a 25 point lead on the Libs. He couldn’t even win his own riding!! No, he didn't blow it. Trump scared many voters into voting for Carney and Liberals. PP did a very good job in the past few years building up the Conservative support and that was reflected in a large increase in the number of seats they won in the election. But you know as well as I that the voters were stampeded into voting for Carney by the Trump tariffs and 51st stuff. They missed their chance to obtain real change that PP talked about.

  37. You are not a conservative and don't know anything about it. PP did an excellent job and it would be hard to find someone nearly as good. It would be crazy to boot someone who worked like he did and achieved as much as he did. OToole was more of a liberal and changed his mind after he became leader. He changed to keeping the carbon tax. That was a betrayal of the members who wanted to axe the tax.

  39. First, tariffs have not hit the economy yet. for imports, tariffs won't be on the shelves (as it were) until late August or September. Second, the "growth" we had under Biden was primarily government spending and then medical sector. We did not grow significantly in any other area for the last two years. Consequently, all the job growth was either government jobs or health care related.

  45. I woke up this morning to a phone call from my daughter. She's at home crying because she saw a Conservative win as the last chance for her to buy a home and raise a family in Canada. That hope is dashed by gutless wonders who cast votes for a liar and a thief. The carney is gonna sell all your asses out and you chickenshit fools don't even realize it. TDS seems to be the condition of Canada and Canadians. I don't like scared little men. I find them annoying and destined for failure. So congarats chickenshits. You will get what you've just paid for.

  46. Who are you talking to here? Why are you answering yourself? 🤔 The question isn't the margin of error on the whole poll, but rather the margin of error on the difference between two answers (Liberal and Conservative vote percentage). This is the formula you'd use to figure that out: For the Nanos poll you quoted at the start, the answer's ~3.8%. If the Liberals and Conservatives were within that margin for that poll, you could say it's not a statistically significant lead. For a two party race, P1+P2 would = 100% of the vote, which would yield an answer of 5.3% (roughly twice their margin of error). This doesn't work for our election, however, because the Liberals and Conservatives aren't getting 100% of the vote, or even close to that. Let me know if you need a walkthrough, but I'm sure you'll totally figure it out, genius that you are. After all, you've uncovered the secrets of 100-50...🤡👌 (As an added bonus for you, today's Nanos Poll is showing a statistically insignificant lead for the Liberals. Rejoice!)

  47. One big flaw in your narrative is that you're attempting to describe the entire thing as being caused by government policy when the vast majority of it was caused by private sector activity. The policy changes made by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in the early 2000 were done to keep up with private sector competition. One way we know it was caused primarily by unregulated private sector activity is because housing bubbles happened in many European countries between 2003-2007 (including Spain, Ireland, the UK, the Netherlands, Denmark, and others). Their mortgages were not being impacted by US federal policies at Fannie and Freddie. The private sector financial shenanigans that collapsed the system were the product of conservatives obsession with deregulation. In the 1980s republicans started trying to repeal the Glass–Steagall act which was a 1930s law separated lending banks from investment banks. They finally did so with the Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act of 1999, which also explicitly banned any regulation of the derivatives market. There were many other deregulation policy changes in the 1980s and 1990s. Not allowing any basic guardrails within a powerful finance industry was foolish and does far more to explain the chain of events that created these bubbles (and why the bubble was magnitudes larger than the actual housing properties involved) not just in the US but in many counties that were utilizing the same finance markets. The FCIC said it best when they concluded that "We had a 21st-century financial system with 19th-century safeguards."
