  4. And then you tried to change it, liar. What you initially quoted: April 17, 2020 Rebuffing then-President Donald Trump, Fauci downplays the possibility of a lab leak, saying the virus’ “mutations” are “totally consistent with a jump of a species from an animal to a human.” What you just tried to change it to: "He said it was totally natural. There is no ambiguity in that statement. None." And when called out you deny, deny, deny. It's shameless. Scientists don't deal in impossibilities. They tell you what the evidence indicates. And you are making up your own science. Any time a virus jumps to a new species there is a first point of contact. Evolution happens at the individual level, not across a species simultaneously.

  9. The cap doesn't create more pollution. How much oil we produce has absolutely nothing to do with how much oil is consumed. The amount of oil the world is going to burn is exactly the same whether we sell it to them or the Russians do or Saudi Arabia does So the question is are we going to be the ones doing the selling or someone else, it has absolutely nothing to do with pollution. This is really simple. When the world stops using oil will stop producing oil. Not the other way around. And now the Americans have us under our thumb just because people like you can't understand that simple concept

  10. So your saying climate change can only be solved by taxing the people, not by any other source,or idea.......And when did the major polluters ever pay for anything, they don't they pass that on to the consumer...like every company in north America...they pass it on to the "consumer"....they don't pay for anything that gets added by the government....ZERO , prove it otherwise. carney has been asked to , and he can't explain it...and he is the banker... DO i think those costs are going to magically disappear....yes i do, trump has wiped out his climate initiatives which will make US goods much more competitive with Canada's...consumers will buy the cheapest goods, it is what they do....why else do we buy so much cheap chinese sh1t...And if you think Canada is going to solve this climate crises you don't have a full deck of cards...This buy Canadians is not going to last forever, once canadians feel the pain from tariffs they will buy the cheapest sh1t...and it won't be Canadian because ours will have all these taxes attached to it...we can't even trade with no tariffs amongst ourselves...

  13. I see the best way forward for Canada in the face of these tariff threats from the U.S. is to become economically independent of the U.S. That means we must change our whole system which is presently paralyzed by government red tape, taxes, and regulations hampering resource development, home building, and investment in Canada. This problem has existed for a long time and was created mainly by the Liberal and NDP government. Companies have pulled out of Canada because of the heavy hand of government against investment and resource development. If we really want to succeed we must change our thinking and government and get a development and resource oriented government. Even provincial government have caused problems by opposing resource development. We have had that problem with the BC NDP government which opposed the Trans Mountain Pipeline expansion for example. It is the only pipeline that carries oil to the west coast and Pacific port and Canada depends on it. It is telling that even the federal government recognized the necessity of the pipeline expansion and when the private company could not get it built because of all the opposition groups and the BC NDP government was against it, the federal government realized they had no choice and purchased it from the private company in order to get it built. However, they really had no choice because of it being the only pipeline to the west coast. But the federal Liberals and NDP still created an anti-development country and that must be abolished. If we really want to succeed and prosper, we need to develop our country and find other trading partners in the world. This will not happen overnight, but it must be the long term goal.

  18. Bullshit. You're just a shameless liar, who won't even quit when caught red handed. A hopeless case. And you know who thinks you're bad at science? Scientists. Johns Hopkins What do we know about what happened at this animal market? Three-quarters of the early cases had some association with the market and none had an association with the laboratory. Even though the market and the laboratory are both in Wuhan, they are in different parts of the city separated by a river. There were also other indicators: There were two lineages—or two separate variants—of SARS-CoV-2 that were circulating in the early days of the pandemic. One of those became the pandemic [as we know it] and the other one died out. But [the existence of two lineages] would mean that there would have to have been two introductions from a laboratory, versus an outbreak going on among animals and then spilling over multiple times to people. The scientists looked for two things: tracking the early cases and evolution of the two lineages. They did a geospatial analysis which tracked cases that we knew about and pinpointed exactly where in Wuhan those cases were. They were even more tied to the market than previous indicators had suggested. The scientists looked at those two strains and [their] lineages to see how they evolved, which also tied it to an animal spillover. They got down to the exact stall of where one of the positive environmental samples had come from. There had been a picture taken a couple of months prior where a raccoon dog had been sitting in said stall. Raccoon dogs are one of the prime suspects for where the virus came from.

  19. Don't play dumb. They ARE functionally different. Saying that the scientific evidence supports a natural jump and saying that a lab leak is impossible are two VERY different statements. That's just how the goddamn English language works. And what farking "lost this argument" are you even talking about? Fauci said then what is still the scientific consensus today: the scientific evidence points to the explanation zoonotic origin.

  20. The facts remain: the wetmarket was NEVER the most likely source of the virus, especially from Fauci's POV Fauci had to have known that the bat coronavirus that he helped make transmissible H2H in the Wuhan lab could have been the one that started infecting humans in Wuhan (and now the FBI thinks it actually was his virous) the very first second that he heard about it there was never a good reason for banning people from social media for talking about the BSL4 lab when the MSM found out about the Wuhan BSL4 lab, it's manipulation of bat coronaviruses, and especially Fauci's funding of GoF research on it, they never should have kept that from the public at every stage the MSM has shielded Fauci from criticism. Why did the MSM in Canada never even talk about the fact that Fauci funded GoF research on a bat coronavirus in the Wuhan lab? Shouldn't that have been big news? CBC aggressively pushed the wetmarket theory for years while they ignored everything to do with the Wuhan lab

  21. In many cases it is to be profitable at all - i.e. to survive. I look at this through the eyes of one of the companies I work with in aerospace. We will NEVER produce within the US since to do so - or even try to do so in our little sector all but one company in the last 30 years that has tried to enter "through the FAA front door" has burned through tens of millions EACH and ended up bankrupt. Between government, insurance and lawyers it is simply not a place we could ever likely make our product, and if we were to be that one in a dozen that DID succeed, our pricing would be (just as with our one and only successful competitor in this space) ridiculously uncompetitive due not only to cost - but also engineering features locked in by the certification process. Now that reality TV has arrived back in the White House, we can all see how ridiculous what normally goes on from the back room can actually get. Seems nobody down there ever did HS history class and are blissfully unaware of what Smoot-Hawley did to deepen the last Great Depression - so are bound to repeat it once more. Worth noting the 2025 economy looks very much like that of 1925 - where speculative gain drove massive re-distribution of wealth leading to a total collapse of Main Street (where ALL wealth is created) under the thumb of the greediest SOBs on the planet.

  22. Oh come on you carry on with the Pisser's claim the country's falling at the exact time it's pulling together as never before. Touting their non-existent economic plan that seems to be built solely on the basis of not only denying climate change but increasing emissions as a necessary fact. On wishes and dreams like how most Canadians want trans Canada pipelines but pretend someone will build them. Yeah we all want a free lunch too, but no one's offering to buy it,

  25. That is my point. Now are these slight downturns going to be permanent? No. They are not systemic or based on lower demand. Will the unemployment rate, CES Jobs, QCEW jobs, etc recover? Most likely. however, the modern American does not look beyond the moment. They read on April 21, 2025 that the unemployment rate is up and immediately they think the following, "This is the start of something worse". Also, they blame the President only. Now, when it goes back up in July 2025.. they conveniently forget their paranoia on April 21, 2025.

  26. From many investment authorities: "Investing in cryptocurrencies, while potentially offering high returns, comes with substantial risks, including lack of regulation, vulnerability to hacking, fraud, and market volatility, and the potential for total loss of investment." You may be foolish enough to put all your eggs in that basket, but not a cent of government money should go into it. If PeePee's not smart enough to know that, he's not smart enough to be PM. Which craft are you talking about?

  27. First, there is no evidence Fauci created the virus. The link you provided was to funding gain of research, but there is still no direct evidence that they did in fact create this virus. You are making a leap in asserting that. Second, that doesn't absolve China from their lies and the coverup that led to the further spread of the virus without the world knowing.

  37. Bullshit. "Totally consistent with a jump of a species from an animal to a human" does not mean that a lab leak is impossible. It simply means that the evolutionary steps are plausible if not probable. On other words, there's no reason to jump to another explanation. Which is where the science still is today.

  44. I don't know where you get your rosy view but inequality has been widening globally with the wealthiest seeing their share of income grow faster than those at lower income levels everywhere. It depends on what you mean by resources I guess. It's a complex question for sure but the most telling one in the case of our use if natural renewable resources or natural capital is that which is known as a sink resource - the ability of natural ecosystems to absorb our waste stream and recycle it back into useful products. Like adapting to AGW this process takes time and natural ecosystems simply can't keep up to the demand we're placing on them. Take the draw down of water resources, especially underground aquifers, in the southwest US. There are some 50 million people who depend on water sources that took thousands of years to develop. They've almost been drained dry inside of 100 years or less.

  46. Waging or about to wage a trade war against all if them Yeah Hitler made the allies stronger too. Hell Hitler is why the US became a superpower in the first place and is the one who made us all allies. US sides with Russia in UN resolutions on Ukraine The US has twice sided with Russia in votes at the United Nations to mark the third anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, highlighting the Trump administration's change of stance on the war. First, the US opposed a European-drafted resolution condemning Moscow's actions and supporting Ukraine's territorial integrity - voting the same way as Russia and countries including North Korea and Belarus at the UN General Assembly (UNGA) in New York. Then the US drafted and voted for a resolution at the UN Security Council which called for an end to the conflict, but contained no criticism of Russia. Trump says Russia should be readmitted to G7 WASHINGTON, Feb 13 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday said he would love to have Russia return to the Group of Seven nations, saying it was a mistake for Moscow to be expelled. https://www.reuters.com/world/trump-says-russia-should-be-readmitted-g7-2025-02-13/ Trump turns toward Russia, breaking with decades of U.S. policy U.S. officials have made a series of policy changes in recent weeks that seem to herald a more cooperative stance with Russia: The White House ordered a pause on military aid to Ukraine as the administration carries out a review, a White House official and a U.S. official told NBC News on Monday. Late last week, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered the U.S. Cyber Commandto cease offensive cyber operations and information operations against Russia, a U.S. official familiar with the matter told NBC News. It’s unclear how long the order will last. Attorney General Pam Bondi, on her first day in office, disbanded efforts to seize the assets of Russian oligarchs, breaking up Biden-era programs known as Task Force Klepto Capture and the Kleptocracy Asset Recovery Initiative. In a separate directive, Bondi ordered a halt to a federal law enforcement initiative to combat secret influence campaigns by Russia, China and other traditional U.S. adversaries that attempt to sow division in U.S. politics. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and other top Trump administration officials traveled to Saudi Arabia last month to start peace negotiations with Russia — but Zelenskyy said Ukrainian officials hadn’t been invited. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna194518 America vetoes G7 proposal to combat Russia’s shadow fleet of oil tankers The US has rejected a Canadian proposal to establish a task force that would tackle Russia’s so-called “shadow fleet” of oil tankers, according to reports last night. In negotiations to agree a joint statement on maritime issues, the US is pushing to strengthen language about China while watering down wording on Russia, the reports said. The “shadow fleet” refers to ageing oil tankers, the identities of which are hidden to help circumvent western economic sanctions imposed on Moscow since it launched its full-scale military invasion of Ukraine at the start of 2022. As well as vetoing Canada’s proposal to establish a task force to monitor sanctions breaches, the draft G7 statement seen by Bloomberg News shows the US pushed to remove the word “sanctions” as well as wording citing Russia’s “ability to maintain its war” in Ukraine by replacing it with “earn revenue”. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/mar/08/america-vetoes-g7-proposal-to-combat-russias-shadow-fleet-of-oil-tankers Trump says Putin launching massive strike on Ukraine is ‘what anybody would do’ Donald Trump has said Vladimir Putin was “doing what anybody would do” after Russia launched a massive missile and drone strike on Ukraine days after the US cut off vital intelligence and military aid to Kyiv. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/mar/07/trump-says-it-is-easier-to-deal-with-russia-and-putin-wants-to-end-the-war Russian officials rejoice after Trump ditches 3 years of U.S. policy on Ukraine Russian officials and state media took a triumphant tone Thursday after President Donald Trump jettisoned three years of U.S. policy and announced he would likely meet soon with Russian President Vladimir Putin to negotiate a peace deal in the almost three-year war in Ukraine. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/world/russian-officials-rejoice-after-trump-ditches-3-years-of-u-s-policy-on-ukraine
