Well it is certainly true that carney will not be facilitating the construction of any new pipelines regardless of what he promises. He only does that in other countries pipelines get built when business has confidence that the government has their back and will help overcome the obstacles they face pushing through the pipelines. The conservatives are certainly better suited for that Dougie you're not even a Canadian. You've said so a million times and we are thankful that you are kind enough not to associate yourself with us. So Canadian politics is probably something you're not going to be qualified to speak on2 points

Just in case the Trump supporting moro0ns need any more evidence of what clueless disorganized id1ot Trump is, this is the same president who is saying USA doesn’t need Canadian oil and wants to tariff it….so he wants to build a multibillion dollar pipeline that nobody wants to move oil he claims nobody needs and he will charge Americans extra for using? What more evidence does anyone need that Dictator On Day One doesn’t have a clue about what he’s doing.2 points

The House bill will cut $880B from Medicaid to give 1%ers a $4T tax cut AND also increase the debt by $4T more. Just another step in Trump's plot to destroy the country. 🤮2 points

PP is a strong, proud Canadian who's very quick-witted and always has a good answer on hand. Carney isn't even a Canadian, he's a Canadian/Irishman/Brit, plus he's a leftist, and the left has completely abandoned patriotism in favour of woke, DEI, anti-white BS.2 points

Carney is your typical left wing globalist liberal. Lie to the people and continue to steal their tax dollars. Nothing will change if Carney does get the PM'S job. The one thing that will change for Canadians is that Canada will even get more woke and broke under globalist Carney. Carney has said that he will cap immigration into Canada. In what way? Will it be capped at what it is today, 500,000 a year, or will it be capped for more than 500,000 a year? Carney is a globalist first and massive immigration into Canada is what Carney and the globalists want. If a leader of a country wants to destroy a country, they first must destroy it thru massive immigration and then promote multiculturalism to be able to break down the hosts country's culture and traditions. It appears to be working these days. 😒2 points

Carney has already stumbled out the gate ,and this is just a leadership contest. Once People get to know carney and what he stands for ,I think it will change back. Country wants change, carney is not change. Just more of the same.2 points

Take a look at what the cartels do to their own people. They will not be deterred by stiffer sentences. Drugs will be supplied as long as people are willing to pay for them, and the more we criminalize an activity the more the hardcore paramilitary gangs will control the market.2 points

So is this the fault of the left wing or the right wing, isn't that's what usually matters the most? In any case....recall how we were told we needed to get out of the business of hewing wood and drawing water but nowadays we're being told to get ready for a great unleashing of our natural resources sectors - back to hewing wood and drawing water IOW. Maybe they didn't get the memo.2 points

You've countered squat, with your feeble attempts being nothing more than juvenile reductionism. The long and storied reality of women being harassed and threatened going to abortion clinics gets, or the occasional bouts of outright violence, are reduced to "hurt feelings". You've explained nothing. When asked to explain why these incredibly narrow and specific limitations to free speech are unreasonable, your response has consistently been "Because it's about free speech". 🤣👌 When you're ready to offer an actual argument, or even some half-baked reasoning, I'll listen. Until then you're just chasing your tail and making yourself look like a fool.1 point

The richest always benefit the most from a tax break because they already pay vastly more taxes. This is really long and there's no pictures but do your best to read it The Parable of 10 men in a bar Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this: The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing. The fifth would pay $1. The sixth would pay $3. The seventh would pay $7. The eighth would pay $12. The ninth would pay $18. The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59. So, that’s what they decided to do. The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. ‘Since you are all such good customers,’ he said, ‘I’m going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20.’ Drinks for the ten now cost just $80. The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men – the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his ‘fair share?’ They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody’s share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man’s bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay. And so: The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100%savings). The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings). The seventh now paid $5 instead of $7 (28%savings). The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings). The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings). The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings). Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings. ‘I only got a dollar out of the $20,’ declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man, ‘but he got $10!’ ‘Yeah, that’s right,’ exclaimed the fifth man. ‘I only saved a dollar, too. It’s unfair that he got ten times more than I got!’ ‘That’s true!!’ shouted the seventh man. ‘Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!’ ‘Wait a minute,’ yelled the first four men in unison. ‘We didn’t get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!’ The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up. The next night the tenth man didn’t show up for drinks so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn’t have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill! And that, ladies and gentlemen, politicians, journalists and think tank professors, is how our tax system works!! The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.1 point

I already have, so to suggest otherwise is just more of your dishonesty. I've outlined, at least half a dozen times, the justifications and benefits of the law's implementation. Contrast that to the near-absolute lack of any harm this causes to free speech, and your obvious evasion and inability to describe any, and the debate ends there. Feel free to offer something, or anything, if you want anyone to take your seriously.1 point

It's what lefty's are not talking about that's sinking the Conservatives....space lasers....COVID authoritarianism... climate change is fake news... Ukraine started it... It's PP's base of support that's dragging him down. Instead of having to squelch out just one Randy White Conservatives have millions to contend with. The Big Tent is a Freaker's Ball that's spilled out into the street and Trump is a magnifying glass and spotlight bringing it into sharp focus. A vote for the right wing is a vote for Crazyville and in the face of that Canada's natural governing ideology is asserting itself.1 point

it's not Canada's industry the oil companies own the industry, international shareholders decide in terms of MAGA ; MAGA is not hostile to Canadian oil it's President Trump who just said he would restart the Keystone XL pipeline which the Democrats blocked but for Canada to have an east west pipeline to avoid Texas ? you're not going to find any oil companies willing to invest in that1 point

Trudeau was 'hired' to help Canada and its citizens have a safe and better country, and a reasonable standard of living. He's not even tried to live up to this mandate. His sole purpose was/has been to try to make himself look good on the world stage. He's been a disaster/failure on all counts. We've been saddled with a huge debt to pass on down the line with f'k all to show for it. Nothing! Zilch! Trudeau has not done anything for Canada. He's a treacherous cretin . . . . a traitor to every Canadian.1 point

How Net Zero is economic suicide for the West. In which Paul Marshall points out that those countries furthest ahead in net zero have the most expensive power, and are losing their industries to China and other countries. The cost of power in the UK is now 7 times what it is in China. We are driving our industries to the enemy, where they set up and use cheap coal power to build what they used to build here, then ship it back to us. China then uses the money to build weapons and to spread its influence into every Western government.1 point

This is something that the left has never understood. Politics has it's own version of the third law of motion. If you swing to the extreme left long enough, then there will be a tendency to swing to the extreme right to correct. And the people who are doing the correcting will not be interested in listening to your complaints or suggestions of moderation at that time. This is where america is at. It's possible the next president may be more of a moderate but that's not going to happen right now.1 point

The only purpose served for protesting that close to the abortion clinic was to protest, so why do you keep pretending it's just silent prayer? LOL! 🤡 You mean that he clownishly ranted about, as if pestering and hassling women within 100m of abortion clinics is the cardinal right that should be held above anything else! Why? You can't explain, but you'll do mental gymnastics to defend literally anything and everything that the Orange Buffoon and his sycophants say. LOL!!! 🤡 No, it's not. This is just you lying again, and doing mental backflips trying to reconcile the absurdity of your position. As you know, this retarded donkey chose to protest in front of an abortion clinic, knowing it was prohibited, and spent two hours arguing with the officer who asked him to leave, before any action was taken against him. It's truly a f*ck around find out moment! 🤣1 point
-
Because he's not just silently praying. It's a deliberate, overt protest, and the law restricts such activity within 100m of abortion clinics so that women feel say seeking their services. Calling it "silent prayer" is a flimsy and transparent attempt at a loophole, and nobody reasonable is buying. The Law is has very little time to spare this sort of nonsense, and that's why it gets dismissed. It's the same argument. What do you figure is happening here? Are there are secret police, cameras and informers watching people's windows around abortion clinics, making sure that nobody is caught praying inside their homes?!? 🤣🤣 🤣1 point

That much we can agree on. I think we should show respect to American people if not trump or the American government, but not out of fear. We're in a good position as far as that goes, america is bigger and stronger than we are but trump has midterms. And the American people wants stability and prosperity after the years of inflation and out of control spending, they don't want war. If war happens and it affects them trump will be in danger Which means we don't actually have to win a war with the Americans. We just have to hang on long enough and do enough damage that we don't lose. And we can do that1 point
