  1. More than 100 former national security officials from Republican administrations and former Republican members of Congress endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday after concluding that their party’s nominee, Donald J. Trump, is “unfit to serve again as president.” In a letter to the public, the Republicans, including both vocal longtime Trump opponents and others who had not endorsed Joseph R. Biden Jr. in 2020, argued that while they might “disagree with Kamala Harris” on many issues, Mr. Trump had demonstrated “dangerous qualities.” Those include, they said, “unusual affinity” for dictators like President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia and “contempt for the norms of decent, ethical and lawful behavior.” It quoted Mr. Trump’s own former vice president, Mike Pence, who has said that “anyone who puts himself over the Constitution should never be president of the United States.” “As president,” the letter said, “he promoted daily chaos in government, praised our enemies and undermined our allies, politicized the military and disparaged our veterans, prioritized his personal interest above American interests and betrayed our values, democracy and this country’s founding documents.” The 111 signatories included former officials who served under Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush or George W. Bush. Many of them had previously broken with Mr. Trump, including two former defense secretaries, Chuck Hagel and William S. Cohen; Robert B. Zoellick, a former president of the World Bank; the former C.I.A. directors Michael V. Hayden and William H. Webster; a former director of national intelligence, John D. Negroponte; and former Gov. William F. Weld of Massachusetts. Miles Taylor and Olivia Troye, two Trump administration officials who became vocal critics, also signed. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/09/18/us/politics/republican-officials-harris-endorsement.html

  2. OMG! You're retarded and don't have an argument! You should stick to something you're good at like drooling over your own children.

  3. Oh if some random stranger posted it on social media it must be absolutely true. Just like those 2020 election fraud affidavits MAGAs are so hopelessly and pathetic gullible. It is absolutely hilarious. Trump lost the debate get over it. Kamala didn’t dictate that Trump say crazy shit about immigrants eating dogs or having a meltdown over people leaving his rallies early.

  4. Oh... I know. Is it how Biden and Harris played into the hands of the Taliban and have no regrets now that millions of women are back in the home where they belong, no longer going to school and having to wear full coverings? Is it those totalitarian thugs?

  5. 1. You didn't answer the question: why would the cops lie about this? 2. What press release? 3. No one called it a training exercise. Reading the statements from the cops here, they're talking about a person (not a cop) training their own bomb sniffing dog. I'm betting it was some MAGA Boomer who took it upon themselves to bring their Shih Tzu to the rally to protect Trump lol. So to recount: some rando brought their own dog, claimed to have found a bomb, the cops checked it out as a "suspicious incident" but found no bomb or any explosives and released that information to the media but you think they're covering up an actual bomb threat because you're mentally ill.

  8. Why are you blaming libs? The pursuit of cheap labor has never really been their agenda. According to your own source, the obvious culprit here is capitalism. It is people who care more about profit than they care about the coherence and social cohesion of the people of canada.

  9. It's called an internal critique. One does not have to believe in their interlocutors meta physics to show the logical fallacies there in. Using the bible( or any holy book someone believes in) to show the ignorance of the belief system is a completely valid form of argumentation. I can call out L Ron Hubbard on his bull without getting audited.

Convoy scum, typical right wing “fake tough guys” who will yell vulgar insults from a distance but whose genitals retract into stomach when they’re confronted. “Who me I didn’t say anything!” Shameful coward. Not to mention they’re disrupting a family -friendlyTerry Fox ceremony with their vulgarity. What a disgrace to Canada

  15. They said there is NO EVIDENCE that it's happening. Duh He's not necessarily detached from reality. He knows how to divide people and motivate his anti-immigrant base with those LIES. It works for his campaign whenever he can demonize immigrants. Notice how he's still LYING about the Haitians being ILLEGAL when THEY'RE NOT.

  16. Well…. Riiiight…. What they said is that they have no evidence whatsoever. I get that in Trump La-La-Land, you just make up any stupid shlt you want, claim it’s true and then attack people because they can’t “prove” that the lie you just told is make believe. Why do you fall for this? Just one outright lie after another? They aren’t eating the pets and they aren’t killing the babies after they’re born. Donald Trump is detached from reality.

  17. Let me get this straight: When the leaders of Springfield say something you agree with — that these threats come from overseas — then you believe it’s true. But when the leaders of Springfield say something you don’t like — for instance, that pets aren’t being stolen and eaten — then you don’t believe it’s true. At least, not enough to wonder why in the world Trump and Vance keep insisting that it is true.

  21. LOL well that's when he's losing a debate. Making (often shockingly) specific sexual fanatsy comments is his way of showing his belly after he loses Sometimes it's hard to think of him as the best we could do with 4 billion years of evolution to work with.

  22. "I'll display my bigotry by claiming everyone else's racist" Well done. It does explain why you think absolutely everything that you don't like is racist

  23. So your alternative is to close all those low paying jobs or to make "Canadian" workers so desperate they'll take them? Asides from cougar's incredibly racist rant and use of Timmies as an example? Like blaming TFWs for turning the food into crap? It's been downhill for decades! You can't turn shit into gold, but you can turn gold into shit by selling out to large corporate outfits only interested in their bottom line. Like tell us exactly what job anyone is prevented from doing because foreign workers exist? Retail? CSRs? Warehouse? Factory? You over 20 and want to work for Timmies or Wendy's? Yeah, right, f*cking liar.

  28. And I'm not hiding it, here: "How can we get into his head? There's a natural explanation that is based on the records and facts": "This is how the thinking may go" The rest is facts. If you don't like my explanation, feel free to come with your own that is compatible with the facts. Argue with me if you like, I'll hear all reasonable arguments. What I insist you, me or anyone with a functioning brain could not do is to simply dismiss it as some noise, like nothing is happening. Something has happened here. It's in the reality and it's right in front of our eyes.

  29. Collect/Harvest votes = voter fraud. Very hard to prove. I have laid it out in other threads how you would do this and not rely on probabilities and subjectivity. To prove this.. you have to have every single ballot and connect it back to the voter. Not as easy as you think. I have worked cases in unemployment insurance where we go through every single claim... 65,000 of them and verify every single detail (name, address, ssn, ein, wages, taxes paid) and it took 2 years.. Millions of votes, this would be a monstrous undertaking.

  30. Why would the cops lie here? Like, I know cops lie all the time, usually to cover their own asses, but the idea that cops on Long Island would lie to cover up something like this is pretty absurd.

  32. I'll take that bet. "We did respond to a suspicious occurrence in the vicinity of the Nassau Coliseum, however there was no validity of an explosive device being found," a public information officer told Newsweek after a report about an explosive device at the rally site circulated online. "We're unsure where this information originated, but we can confirm that no explosives were discovered." https://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-rally-suspicious-occurrence-long-island-ny-1955749

  33. So you counter with another ridiculous non issue again referenceing men that dress like women? I say you doth protest too much. Funny enough, you would have to have the same problem with children reading Shakespeare, seeing that he was famous for casting men in female roles. Better not let the kids watch anything with Dustin Hoffman, Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes, the Wayan brothers, etc, etc, etc either, might turn them gay Do not see how silly you sound?

  35. Unfortunately it's often the professed christians that lack knowledge of the Bible and Christianity. So when one of the many glaring contradictions are pointed out they're forced to hide behind silly statements like "they use the bible when they don't believe the bible" or "they just don't understand the "true" meaning or the context of the Bible" These are simply tactics used to officiate in order to not respond directly to things in the Bible that go against the reality we all (christians, atheists, muslims, hindu, etc ..) share.

  37. I know you retarded racists love your little pogrom fantasies but the fact is mass deportations on the scale Trump and Vance would tank the U.S. economy almost as bad as the tariffs idea. But then we all know you freaks value your blood and soil nationalism over anything else. Is this the Russiagate for the right? I'd like to see some actual evidence that isn't just the say-so of a Republican pol. After all there's plenty of precedent for right wingers making bomb threats to schools or libraries that have drag story hours or other LGBTQ-friendly programs.

  41. First, the Haitian immigrants in Ohio are not in the country illegally, they are legally-recognized refugees. And THAT is because your friend Trump tanked the immigration reform bill that would have permitted Biden to block them from entry. Second, the exact text from that NY Post article is: “ a 28-year-old man claimed — without evidence — that Haitian migrants were beheading ducks at local parks and taking them home to eat. “They’re in the park grabbing up ducks by they neck and cutting they head off and walking up with them and eating them,” the man said.” (Psst: Ducks are not pets). I once saw a man fishing in a park, and he caught the fish and ate it. And I went to a restaurant on the Champs d’Elyses and had roast duck. It was delicious. But none of this proves that immigrants are eating these birds. Not so much as a single smartphone picture.

  42. As @CdnFox pointed out...you lied...again. This is why, even without any diploma, I have been successful. I don't lie. I don't cheat. I live within and deal with reality. You can wave your silly piece of paper around all you like. But a brief look into your posts exhibits a freak who is willing to do and say anything, no matter how stupid, in order to gain that which you desire. This sort of personality issue is very transparent and not the type of disorder needed or even wanted in positions of power. The bottom line here is... You're a fcking twit.!

  43. I wish refugees and maybe soldiers who've worn blue hats in warm places were a bit more vocal about the path we're on. Based on the rhetoric (from all sides BTW), It strikes me that people seem gleeful about joining the fray (eager might be a better word) and I'd observe that this sort of eagerness usually prevails right up to the point that it evaporates, usually with astounding rapidity, in the face of unintended consequences. By that I mean people who delight in poking bears into a seething fury usually act surprised at the predictable result of their efforts... especially if that result is random, infrequent, or unexpected. Intellectually they know it could happen, they just don't think that it actually will. The lower end of this spectrum (in a similar and equally predictable format) plays out at closing time every Friday night for bouncers all across the country. As you watch the inevitable train wreck develop, you wonder if the people bent on causing it really want what they seem to be asking for. When all is said and done the inevitable question becomes "what do you suppose they thought was going to happen?" Maybe the lesson here is in the number of college aged jocks (the bear pokers) who cry when the handcuffs come out. It suddenly becomes very real for them at a very personal and visceral level, only after it's too late do they begin to consider how easily it could all have been avoided. How did a generation of people who smugly asserted that "words matter" become so detached from their own mantra?

Since it's vanished into the fog of your plaque-caked brain, I'll remind you that you were talking about the Butler shooter and claiming he registered as a Republican at 18 so he could have better access to Trump's schedule a full two years before he tried to pop him. He was a Republican by definition.
