When every school, every government, and every business falls into line and embraces every single thing this 'few' did or said or wanted it's not hard to believe it's actually the majority. Though, of course, it isn't. People are simply cowed and browbeat into not openly disagreeing.2 points

I really don't think you understand. Your assertion is unsupported and illogical. It is unsupported in that it is nothing more than your assertion. You are the only one claiming the Republicans are using illegal immigrants to garner votes. Your assertionis illogical because Republicans are doing everything wrong if they are trying to use illegals to gain votes. They are sending illegals to blue states. They are pushing laws to require proof of citizenship. They are building walls to slow illegal immigration. Everything they are doing is designed to prevent illegal immigrants from coming and staying in America. Why would they do everything in their power to stop something that could keep them in power? But the Democrats, they are doing just the opposite. They are allowing illegal immigrants to get licenses and thus giving them the opportunity to register. They are trying to make illegal immigrants and thus giving them a legal means to vote. They are trying to let as many in as they can, because illegal voting doesn't help if it's in small numbers. Your assertion is unsupported and illogical. Either support it and add some logic to back up the assertion or admit you are just making the assertion without merit. We all know it is the later. If you did say you made the assertion without merit, that might actually benefit you. But you won't, will you? No. You can't. So you will either ignore this or make the assertion again, without support or logic, because that is what your fantasy world must be like to maintain your cognitive health.1 point

Or maybe as cowards we should hide in the basements and give terrorists everything that they wish so that not to provoke them and say good bye to our democracy, freedom and disregard human rights. Don't fight terrorism but join them because they could be dangerous right? Israel serves them right in time. Learn from Israelis rather than being a coward.1 point

Don't forget having your nation dismissed as illegal and not even a real nation, its entire history described as one long demonstration of racism, bigotry, and genocide. And its present nothing more than a hopelessly racist and oppressive society to anyone not a white male Christian. This is what really undermines the foundations of our democracies and societies I'm sure it would be well attended by the Left, who would scream abuse and try to block it.1 point

And doing so while ignoring the fact that the other half were also poltiical appointments. That's the model in the states. But yes it is crazy to suggest that they are all appointed by trump. There is a significant process, a vetting, lots of scrutiny, and the same model is used for trump as was used for any other president in history. But when a republican appoints a judge it's apparently wrong1 point

There is actually evidence that Joe Biden broke the law. We have testimony and emails and phone records that certainly indicate that strongly. So you cannot see there's no evidence. They're absolutely is evidence. What you could say reasonably is that the evidence does not reach the bar of "Beyond Reasonable Doubt". But that is not the same thing as saying there's no evidence. And frankly the guys who tried to claim Russian collusion for 7 years with really no evidence despite the FBI turning the planet upside down looking for some are probably not in a great position to be complaining about a lack of evidence1 point
-
You really have nothing to say do you? Call me a left wing lunatic without even an iota of evidence, then proceed to pepper me with questions and the best you can do is play semantics? You talk about logic with zero understanding of what it actually means. You're a sad little man. I know you're trying to own the libs(because you have nothing else) but all you're really doing is making a fool of yourself but then again, that's about all Trump and his supporters do , talk nonsense without ever actually offering any real solutions or even anything resembling rational, intelligible discours.1 point

Just for fun I did a couple quick searches about this in the mainstream media. Pride month? Mentioned several times on cbc and other mainstream outlets, some local media too. Men's mental health? Every story is a climate story, the weather is always your fault, the unrelenting “everything you love will be destroyed in a fiery conflagration of climate collapse” pearl-clutching and the only cure is bigger and more global government. None of this is an accident. A great many have come to realize that climate science and climate reporting have become the near exclusive domain of the charlatan and the grifter. And....guess what? They have an actual playbook: Covering-the-Planet-Report.pdf (internews.org) This technique is called “embedding” and it’s very effective as a means to shape perception. “Wow, even the cooking column speaks about climate change. Everyone must believe this!” It makes it seem like certainty. Of course, it helps to make sure everyone stays on message and in line with the commissars. Just a little embedding everywhere. It’s not some emergent consensus of views. This is an actual school to learn how to turn your reporter gig into green grant griftopia - just learn the magic words, put them everywhere, and let the money roll in. Climate catastrophism is big business. New Report Reveals Massive Scale of Green Billionaire Funding of ‘Climate Emergency’ Reporting in Mainstream Media – Watts Up With That? Two years, 400 journalists and 50 climate experts: Here’s what we learnt about how to report on climate change | Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism (ox.ac.uk) This trend is no longer haphazard nor piecemeal. It’s a unified, organized, well funded edifice of crony corporatist marketing, manipulation, and grift being funded by investment experts who know an attractive $ value $ proposition when they see one. The report shows clearly that the green billionaires are calling most of the shots in promoting stories of Net Zero-inspired climate collapse. It is noted that they may fund journalists “to cover stories in a particular subject area, determined by funder interests and goals”. Any journalist can apply to be a member of the EJN and the “primary benefit” is said to be access to grant funding for stories and “training opportunities”. The operation claims over 25,000 members in 200 countries. The list of EJN funders is a long one and includes many well-known supporters of climate fear-mongering work. Included is the European Climate Foundation, heavily supported by Michael Bloomberg and Extinction Rebellion paymaster Sir Christopher Hohn. Other supporters include Tides, Gulbenkian, Oak, Packard, Climate Justice Resilience, MacArthur and Rockefeller. Helping out with taxpayer money are political and government organizations including the United Nations and the British Foreign Office. This is a near perfect system to grab and co-opt failing journalists. Can’t make ends meet? Come get a grant! There’s plenty! Just toe the line, sing from our hymnal, make every story a climate story, and watch the money roll in.1 point

Adam Zivo: Militant LGBTQ activists ill-equipped to handle growing backlash Support for the LGBTQ community has declined, and activists have themselves to blame Adam Zivo Published Jun 19, 2024 New polling data shows that support for LGBTQ rights is dropping precipitously in Canada — and while many queer activists will inevitably blame the far right for this development, the fact is that they themselves helped sabotage their own public support. Their abrasiveness and militancy has alienated the public, and though a strategic shift is needed, I fear that community leaders will fail to understand this until it is too late. According to this year’s edition of the Ipsos LGBTQ+ Pride Report, which polled adults in 26 countries, support for queer rights has decreased across the globe since 2021. Several metrics suggest that the starkest changes occurred in Canada. This year, only 49 per cent of Canadian respondents believed that people should be open about their orientation or gender identity (down 12 points from 2021), while support for LGBTQ people publicly kissing or holding hands fell to 40 per cent (down 8 points). Fewer Canadians want to see openly gay or bisexual athletes (50 per cent, down 11 points) or more LGBTQ characters on screens (34 per cent, down 10 points). Canadians have been souring not just on visibility, but legal rights, too. Only 54 per cent of respondents supported LGBTQ-inclusive anti-discrimination laws that guarantee equal employment, housing and educational opportunities. That number was 63 per cent just three years ago. And while same sex marriage and child adoption remains popular — at 75 and 70 per cent, respectively — these rights also saw concerning drops in support (down 7 and 11 points). There has clearly been a global backlash against the LGBTQ community over the past two years — with accusations of pedophilia and “grooming” surging after decades of hibernation — but this is the first time that polling data has quantified its impact on Canadian attitudes. The LGBTQ community needs to pivot. Hard and fast. Yet the militant activists who currently dominate the community seem ill-equipped to understand, let alone address, the rising challenges that threaten to undo decades of progress. In fact, they arguably are a major reason why this backlash exists in the first place. https://nationalpost.com/opinion/adam-zivo-militant-lgbtq-activists-ill-equipped-to-handle-growing-backlash1 point

It you want voting to be transparent and secure you need to go back to the old ways. Go back to Early Voting maximum 2 weeks before the election this is so you have all the info you need Absentee Ballots for need and not just sent out to everyone. Vote harvesting should be completely abolished way too many ways to cheat doing that. I think you should have at least put a little effort into voting like getting off your ass and going to vote.1 point

To the Greenies...especially @robosmith and @Michael Hardner. People...we know that man's presence creates some amount of "global warming". That conclusion is rational and incredibly obvious. We also know that scientists will not conclude we have any sort of climate crisis. What we have is a change in the average global temperature that "could", at some undetermined time, present a real crisis. Thus we have...at best...a warning from our scientists. OK...we can begin to finance exploration into "clean energy". We can build more nuclear plants. We can do a number of things. What we cannot do with any sort of rationality, is have the governments dump on fossil fuels ESPECIALLY as the world economy is recovering from "The Great Rona Freakout" You need to take a deep breath...calm down...actually read and understand the scientific reports...and allow the global economy to recover with the resources we HAVE.1 point

The period of history in the 1890s was not perfect but good. Ordinary people could travel, cross borders. Buy products from abroad. I have travelled around the pre-war cities of Austrian-Hungary. They remind me of Montreal today. In the 1990s, too, it was good. Ordinary people could travel. China and Russia were open. ==== In Summer 1914, the European elite for no reason, commit suicide. They f*cked up the life of everyone, I fear that our current ellite in these 2020s is about to do the same.1 point

I don't have to google anything. Unlike you, I have an educated understanding of this subject. The claim I responded to was that corporations are people, and you posted what should essentially be considered an Op/Ed talking about the concept of corporate personhood, which isn't stated in the ruling at all. The ruling centered entirely on the concept of free speech, which doesn't somehow disappear just because people are in a corporation. That doesn't make a corporation a person or give them some kind of personhood. Its no different than if a bunch of people join a union and combine their resources to promote political speech, or a club, or any kind of association. The Supreme Court pointed out the obvious contradictions because there is corporate media... are you now going to argue that there is no freedom of the press or freedom of speech that applies to any kind of incorporated media? Of course not. Come on back when you can do more than post links to other peoples opinions.1 point

I think when we started hearing trans activists in pride parades say things like, “We’re coming for your children”, combined with rhetoric in DEI training like “gender-normative” and “the patriarchy” (happening in virtually all government departments and big businesses), people started to feel a real threat to their values, especially when it comes to child-rearing, free expression, religious rights, women’s rights, and even scientific facts. Basically people are realizing that they are being pushed in directions that they don’t want to move, and for valid reasons.1 point

New paper shows how confusion between CFR and IFR undergirds the original March case for lockdowns, and the hysteria in the first place: Public Health Lessons Learned From Biases in Coronavirus Mortality Overestimation (cambridge.org) “Sampling bias in coronavirus mortality calculations led to a ten-fold increased mortality overestimation in March 11, 2020." - U.S. Congressional testimony. “This bias most likely followed from information bias due to misclassifying a seasonal influenza infection fatality rate as a case fatality rate, evident in a http://NEJM.org editorial." “By early May, 2020, mortality levels from COVID-19 were considerably below predicted overestimations, a result which the public attributed to successful mitigating measures to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus.” This led to hundreds of thousands of false comparisons like this: Coronavirus Compared to Flu: Shared Symptoms, Different Death Rates - Business Insider This Business Insider article on March 4, comparing flu and COVID19. Corona19 looks apocalyptic!!! Except... They used the INFECTION fatality rate (IFR) for flu, and the CASE fatality rate (CFR) for C19. When the actual comparison is like this: About the same. Safer than flu for young, a nasty flu for old. Confirmed by CDC's own data: Disease Burden of Flu | CDC And you cannot presume that 100% of the population world-wide is infected. It was more like 10%: (Flu infects 10%‐20% of people yearly.) Global perspective of COVID‐19 epidemiology for a full‐cycle pandemic - Ioannidis - 2020 - European Journal of Clinical Investigation - Wiley Online Library On March 11 the mistaken testimony to the U.S. Congress occurs, confusing CFR and IFR, and comparing flu IFR to coronavirus CFR. By March 12, the world had gone full zombie apocalypse. It was clear that certain folks were hell-bent on breaking everything and injecting massive doses of FEAR into the citizenry. Any attempts to undo the damage of that false comparison were impossible. This level of societal fear, hysteria, and psychosis amounts to a bottom-up cultural revolution. It can last for generations, enforced by your neighbors. Like hijab in Iran. This is why it's sooooooooooo important for people to educate themselves, even just a little, so they can't easily fool us again. Or at the very least - be open to listening to the people who know and understand the data and the tricks they use to instill fear, and speak out about the misinformation. All those people were ridiculed, silenced, blacklisted and defunded. This can never happen again. We have GOT to be smarter. Pay attention to this bird flu thing - they're doing the same tricks.1 point

Repeat offenders especially addicted repeat offenders is not some new phenomenon. Its not like these types of events didn’t exist before JT or don’t happen all over the world no matter who is in charge. Scumbags like this guy are just part of human existence, have been for thousands of years before JT was born and will be for thousands of years after, assuming human species even survive ls that long. When PP is prime minister these kinds of stories will continue to appear although somehow I suspect the same people won’t be saying “welcome to PP’s Canada” Also JT happened to increase drunk driving laws, even to the point of absurdity: his justice department successfully argued that “impaired driving “ includes paddling a canoe being drunk at home within 2 hours AFTER having driven.1 point
