  1. Cut the crap! First it’s “He always repaid his loans,” and now it’s “Plenty of people go into bankruptcy and fail to repay $40 million loans.”

  3. People should write that sentence out a thousand times. From what I saw, the majority of those leading the charge, those with the strongest and most hateful of opinions, the ones who cheered when their neighbours got fired, were unable to even discuss the issue at a high school biology level. It was absolutely breathtaking IMO. Shameful is exactly the right word.

  5. I certainly did not vote for that buffoon. His liberal Marxist daddy was enough for me to never want to vote liberal ever again. Sadly, what his punk kid is doing is trying to finish what his old man started to do a long time ago? Finish off Canada and turn it into a third world hell hole. With the massive amounts of third world legal and illegal immigrants being allowed into Canada, it won't be long before Canada will become a third world hell hole. Believe it or not, i certainly do. 😒

  11. Yes, if Floyd had cooperated with the police, he'd be alive now. He paid too high a price for that failure. And if the police hadn't murdered him for basic resistance, he'd be alive now. His murderers are paying the price for their part as well. Two to tango. We expect more from our police officers. And in this case that includes the rapid escalation of the initial encounter. Floyd was involved in a non-violent, non-emergent potential crime, passing a counterfeit bill that he may or may not have known was counterfeit. Yet the police response was to immediately point a gun at his face. It's not that weird that Floyd freaked out. People do funny things when you put a gun in their face--especially if they are high. He thought he was going to be killed. That's the cycle we're in at this point. Black Americans are so afraid of the police killing them that they react fearfully in ways that make it more likely that they will be killed.

  12. Jeebus, that's an AWUFL LOT of text to finally get around to the point that they evaluated the option but didn't try to do anything. House leadership didn't support Senate leadership didn't support Biden didn't support No vote was taken The idea was explored, nothing was "tried" The Republicans have played the dirtiest pool with the SCOTUS seats, but the Democrats exercised restraint instead of revenge. Was probably pretty tempting though.

  16. So sad. You are truly a sad person. An opportunity for you to become civil and you make it a conflict. "It appears that you are discussing a situation where someone is attempting to make an "offer" to another person. Your kind of behavior is not constructive or respectful, and it seems to be causing unnecessary conflict. To resolve this, it would be best for you to engage in mature communication and avoid engaging in childish behavior. If one person tries to end the conversation, they should feel free to stop participating and focus on more positive interactions."

  21. Nonsense phrases from the left that mean nothing but expose their hypocrisy. Having sex can lead to pregnancy so we should ban abortion right? I mean - some choices have consequences Pointing a gun at someone and demanding their money shoudln't be considered robbery right? I mean, they DID have a choice, they COULD have chosen to get shot... The poor should be left to starve without help - they have to take responsibility for their choices right? It's an !diotic position that the left chooses to believe in when it's convenient. If you threaten harm to someone if they don't choose how you would like then that is not a 'Choice' - that is coersion. And that has been upheld in our laws for ages. And if you punish someone for exercising their rights - then that is called VIOLATING their rights. not 'responsibility'. It's like watching man-boy love advocates arguing why child rape should be legal. You should be ashamed you even made that comment. But you're a leftie so you won't be - any amount of degrading or immoral behaviour is acceptable if you get to virtue signal about it.

  25. When violence between Semites flares in the ME, yes that's exactly my argument. Otherwise we'd see the same number of demonstrations and threats during times of relative peace as we do now. This is not like blacks calling other blacks niggers. Hard boiled rightwing Jews loath left wing secular Jews and the lefties mock the righties for being so ridiculous. That's the example everyone here should follow as well.

  27. No, you don't have it straight. There was no "knee on chest" position in play. Floyd was face down in the street while Chauvin kneeled on the back of his neck. It's well established that this position is only used to gain control of a subject and that as soon as that is achieved the subject should be moved to a "recovery position" so that you don't kill them. Apply some common sense. It's like a choke hold (which is now outlawed in many jurisdictions because it's so easy to go wrong). If you choke someone to gain control it might be a viable tactic. But if you choke them for 9+ minutes it's just lethal force. Note that any resistance on Floyd's part was over VERY early in this process. Squirming gave way to begging and then drooling and then nothing... Hell, the police declared that he was non-responsive at 5:43 into the hold. Other officers were suggesting a change to recovery position, and Chauvin just kept going, and going and going. It had nothing to do with control or restraint at that point. At a minimum, it was utter indifference to the life or death of the subject, but imagine kneeling on someone's neck for 9+ minutes -- much of it to a visibly unconscious or dead subject -- and it's hard to escape the notion that there's some malice. The bodycam footage was not "hidden" from the public. Like most of the state-controlled evidence in the case, it simply wasn't released during the trial. It was shown to the jury. It was even available to the press for viewing, but not public release. That's pretty common, and even more likely when a piece of evidence is likely to further enflame social tensions. And the bodycam footage is incendiary, to say the least.

Methinks you were affected by the lead chem trails of cars & trucks growing up.

  33. Yeah. they've boxed themselves in pretty good and there's no easy way out. The increasing interest payments keeps them from doing anything about their extreme deficit spending unless they're willing to reign some oft he useless spending in. Which they're not. Thats why they can't cancel even the raise in carbon tax - they desperately need the money. the budget is going to be a shell game trying to pretend that all the extra costs are 'investments' and 'necessary' etc etc. But they'll still go about 40 - 50 billion into deficit. I don't think they care at this point. They know that barring a huge misstep by PP they're toast next election and they're trying to spend what they can in the meantime and make it hard for PP to reduce the spending when he gets in. That means more spending on gov't employees, more funds to their 'friends', more usless programs.

Another article in the paper today - and another poll (Same results) https://angusreid.org/raise-pause-abolish-carbon-tax/#gsc.tab=0 So - once again - the majority of people want the tax reduced or gone. And once again - PP looks like he is the man who understands the canadian public and trudeau looks out of touch. And the carbon tax looks unpopular and it will be an election issue. This was a pretty good victory for PP.

  38. Yes, bigots come in all political shades and stripes. But the small number of far right people in Canada who hate Jews has been a minor thing for a long time. What has risen in the last few decades and particularly of late are two things. 1. The number of Muslims coming here from countries where antisemitism is the accepted and widespread cultural norm. Coming here with no screening, I might add, and no suggestion by the Canadian elites that they should change their culture and adopt Canadian values. 2. The rise of a simplistic 'oppressor/victim' belief system among the Left which automatically ascribes malice and evil to whomever is termed the oppressor, and complete innocence and lack of agency to the victim. Jews have been assigned to the 'white' category, and are thus part of the 'oppressors' despite a history of being the victims of hate. This is largely because they do well economically here. And as the Jewish community has a lot of support for Israel, which the Left has demonized as an evil Capitalist colony supported by the evil West, and as it's fighting 'brown people' then anyone who supports Israel is evil too by default. Therefore, Jews are evil. Hatred against them is therefore entirely proper and the concern for incidents against them is about what it is for the scores of churches set on fire. There is a general view from many elements of the Left that they deserve it anyway.

  39. holy crap - you didn't just trigger the lefties - they're in full on machine gun mode Here's the thing. The 'left' wing has evolved into something very socialistic and authoritarian. That's where they are these days. Where many decades ago the left was all about freedoms and choice and free speech, they're now all about "cancel" and laws to enforce 'preferred pronouns' and censorship. Any such group will ALWAYS seek to vest power in a central authority - they cannot effectively rule without that. We see it in the states- we see it in canada. So when you say there's an effort on the left's part to remove power from local authorities and vest it federally, of COURSE there is. And it doesn't matter if we're talking police, or medical practices, or law, or anything. They're just not happy about you knowing about it Which is why the lefties here chose to freak out at you rather than discuss it rationally. At the end of the day it's probably not really a specific plan regarding police - they want ALL power taken and vested in a centtral authority period, as much as they can get away with it. Police are just one element.

  41. Buddy, your leftard POV started at: CHAUVIN CLEARLY MURDERED FLOYD JUST BECAUSE HE'S A RACIST!!! COPS ARE RACIST! CHAUVIN USED THE CRAZIEST MURDER CHOKE HOLD EVER TO INTENTIONALLY KILL HIM! BURN STUFF! LOOT! KILL PIGS! DEFUND POLICE! WE DON'T SEE NUTHIN'! LET THE RIOTERS OUT OF JAIL! I HOPE THIS RIOTING LASTS 'TIL AFTER CHRISTMAS! AG Ellison and the Dems (for sure higher-ranking Dems knew about the footage) sat on the bodycam footage for months. NBC knew about this for a month and kept it secret. People were allowed to take the stand and lie during Chauvin's trial, and the truth (training manual) was banned from the courtroom. You and Hodad tried to make the case that Chauvin's restraint had nothing to do with Minn PD policy and I showed it to you in the book. The only argument is that he held him in that approved Minn PD restraint for too long. Dude, we all know he did it too long. The guy died. But everything that Chauvin did was textbook perfect up until the (15th?) minute of the interaction with Floyd. Floyd was being a jackass that whole time, plus he's the one who took fentanyl when he had a heart condition. That's the exact opposite of the leftard narrative. Even the NBC video from after the bodycam footage came out was a lie. The cop had very good reason to have his gun out but NBC's video made it seem like they just had it out because Floyd was black. Now you're trying to distill your whole argument down to: "He knelt on him a bit too long, while he was being harassed by a crowd of menacing civilians." 🤣 You're a race-baiting, lying piece of shit robo.
    1 point
  42. Per video evidence and Chauvin's own admission, he broke protocol by maintaining that severe restraint long after Floyd was subdued, after he stopped resisting, after he stopped moving, after he stopped responding, after he stopped breathing, after he stopped living. Long after. What Chauvin did is directly contradictory to the guidance in that manual you showed, to the in-person training he was given, and to the department's use of force policies. And Chauvin has admitted it. Most people are "smart" enough not to casually kill a man in front of an audience. And most people are smart enough not to defend such actions. You and Chauvin are outliers.
