  6. ‘We focused on whether the evidence was sufficient to charge any member of the campaign with taking part in a criminal conspiracy. It was not.’ Looks like you're the liar By your own quote he didn't even address 'collusion' which is not a legal term. So you're lying right off the bat when you claim he found 'tonnes' of evidence. HE found NONE - because he wasn't looking as it is not a legal term. In addition he found nothing that would support a charge against anyone in the campaign. Not just trump. So there absolutely was not russian 'collusion' And there's no evidence trump did anything illegal with the russians. While mueller has tried to say that Trump claiming 'no collusion' is misleading because that's not a 'real term', the fact is that was the term used by the dems and the FBI for years. So saying "well... TECHNICALLY it's not a real thing so we can't say there's no evidence of it" is just childish. No evidence that trump committed wrongdoing, Sorry, three years of a huge team investigating him and everyone he knows for nothing. Wah wah waaaaaaaah, you lose.

  7. A politician is not just anyone who gives their opinion, Trudeau and Biden's support for Israel is tacit support and international green light for their crimes against the Palestinian people. Netanyahu is a criminal who should have been in prison forever, he is currently committing war crimes and planning genocide. So make sure to file a complaint against these unjust people so that they can be arrested and brought to court. I even believe that Mélanie Jolie, a canadian minister, went to the Middle East to ask other leaders to support Israel's crimes. Biden and Trudeau's support for Israel is to be complicit in their crimes that they are committing.

  9. Douglas Murray, editor of the Spectator, writing in the National Review, dares to openly state the problem with bringing in large numbers of Muslims and spending no effort to weed out those with bigoted, racist or misogynistic world views. What happens is your country changes. Things which were once open become closed. Ways and styles of behaviour, things you can say and do, will be threatened or changed by angry, religious fundamentalists who, as we all know, are quite willing to resort to violence to get their way. How many? What percentage? No one knows. No one dares to ask. But to quote Brigitte Gabriel, it's not the quiet mass of people who decide on things, it's the loud, angry and determined minority. It was that way in Germany in the 1930s, and in Japan, in Russia then and now. Most want to just get on with their lives. But they're irrelevant. China is the same. Most are peaceful people. But they're irrelevant. And most estimates of the world population say up to a quarter of Muslims could be considered hard core beliefs in a world wide caliphate and an Islamic state. And the more Muslims we allow in without any screening and without any effort at integration, the higher that population will become here. https://www.nationalreview.com/magazine/2023/12/how-mass-immigration-makes-antisemitism-worse/

  12. According to studies, there are a number of serious consequences of marijuana legalization and use. One of them is: quote The molecular shape of THC is similar to the brain chemical anandamide to the point where the brain accepts the shape of the THC molecule in place of anandamide, resulting in an alteration in normal brain function. Anandamide (a type of endogenous cannabinoid) functions as a neurotransmitter, facilitating the transfer of messages in the sections of the nervous system that control movement, coordination, concentration, memory, pleasure, and time perception. THC is thus able to disrupt certain mental and physical functions, causing the effect of intoxication.8 THC impacts the area of the brain known as the hippocampus and a portion of the frontal cortex, both of which have profound influence in the development of new memories and enable the shifting of attention (see illustration on pages 18–19). A NIDA report states: As a result, using marijuana causes impaired thinking and interferes with a person’s ability to learn and perform complicated tasks. THC also disrupts functioning of the cerebellum and basal ganglia, brain areas that regulate balance, posture, coordination, and reaction time. This is the reason people who have used marijuana may not be able to drive safely….9 In 2007, a careful study exposed rats to THC at different phases of their life: before birth, after birth, and prior to maturity. All three samples demonstrated significant problems with learning and memory function for the rest of their lives.10 Other related studies showed that the exposure to THC prior to maturity increased the likelihood that the individual would self-administer other drugs to acquire the same or greater effect.11 unquote For the whole article including the other consequences of marijuana use go to: Marijuana: What They Aren’t Telling You | Tomorrow's World (tomorrowsworld.org)

  14. SMRs will be here once the USA companies, through huge government subsidies, manage to build them. PP won’t have a hand in their development. But, maybe he’ll fund them with Bitcoin? So far, SMRs are science fiction. https://www.science.org/content/article/deal-build-pint-size-nuclear-reactors-canceled …a coalition of community-owned power systems in seven western states, withdrew from a deal to build the plant, designed by NuScale Power, because too few members agreed to buy into it. The project, subsidized by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), sought to revive the moribund U.S. nuclear industry, but its cost had more than doubled to $9.3 billion. What can he say, other than “we’ll be on the forefront of being a Bitcoin…. Errr…. SMR nation”.

  17. Sessions recused himself because an investigation would be required and he couldn't, in good conscience, investigate himself. Which allowed Rosenstein to make the call on special prosecutor. That's right, neither of those Trump appointees thought it was a meritless investigation which should be shut down. They both agreed that it must continue. And Rosenstein appointed Mueller as special counsel to continue it. That's nonsense. Comey (a Republican) did oversee an early investigation, but there was nothing illegal about it. It was entirely necessary. Again, the even the Durham report agreed that investigation was appropriate. The head of the FBI can't watch a Presidential candidate's campaign deeply enmeshed with hostile foreign intelligence and not investigate. That would be absurd. It's literally part of the job. And you should just take "non crimes" out of your vocabulary. Sounds more absurd every time you use it. Do you understand that the party nominees, like Trump, receive top secret intelligence briefings? And then when his campaign staff--his campaign manager!--have ongoing secret meetings with Russian intelligence operatives underlayers of tradecraft, there's nothing to see here? No reason to investigate that? GTFO!

  19. No shit. It's the same 4 or 5 debate tricks with them constantly, followed by whining about how we can't have rational conversations anymore. @SpankyMcFarland obviously thinks he's being clever - but all that kind of thing really does is cause people to lose respect for him as a person, his opinions as valid and the left wing in general. It broadens the gap instead of bringing people together and division and hatred is all the left has these days, It appeals to the weak minded, So you see it on the left quite a bit. But no matter what side it's on it should be called out. It's childish.

  20. Canada needs immigrants to secure the future as population gets okder so zero immigration is not an option but withour swamping the country with people of different culturres too fast. 150,000 was the level 25 years ago and it was working and was reasonable. 25 years ago I didn't have to come across so many hijab wearing women with their weird looking husbands when I was walking in a Canadian shopping center. as for screening for compatibility, immigration officers can be trained to screen out the undesirables. I don't need training. Put me in charge of screening out Middle Easterns.

  25. Why do you even bother lying about things that you know you'll be easily called out? Sessions= Trump nomination Rosenstein= Trump nomination Wray= Trump appointee And of course Fox said that. They are the PR wing of the Republican party, not a news organization. They just spent several years lying to your face about election fraud and had to pay $800 million for it. Their entire business model is telling their foolish followers what they want to hear. Fortunately the congressional record exists and the history will be written. Read the report or don't. I can't force you to learn.

  26. repeat your anti semetic remarks you mean. The ones you actualy noted rashida said that caused that kafuffle - so i know you're aware it's antisemetic. The word "negro" appears in several legitimate texts as well but calling someone a 'n*gger' is still racist. This is why nobody takes the left seriously. You can't even have an adult conversation. You very deliberately use a term you very clearly know is racist based on the context you used it in, then pretend innocence and fake shock. "I don't understand - how is N*gger racist?!?! I'm just refering to black people... " I'm sure these cheap debate tricks work great at the preschool. Not so much here. When your argumetns get ignored in the future over subjects that matter to you, such as gun control, the cbc, social programs, funding cuts etc etc. just remember - you had the chance to have open and honest dialogues and you chose not to.

Not to mention Israel initially backed Hamas in order to break up what was then a secular Palestinian liberation movement. Is it easier to keep out of the hands of underage people when it’s legalized? Why should it be any of your business if someone wants to get impaired as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone else?

  34. You don't understand. If they form the government (which they usually do by force) they CHANGE the laws. Marrying under 18 was illegal in Iran before 1979. It is legal now over 12. Forcing women to wear hijab was illegal before 1979. Now it is forced and the regime beats them up. Divorce could be initiated by women but now only by men. Alcohol and nightclubs were legal now they are illegal. Division of heredity was equal now son gets most. Many other examples.

  36. Are you going to try to tell us all that we can import large numbers of Palestinians here without facing an increased terrorist threat? Sorry, but that's just a factor of your own rainbow ignorance. FYI there are two reasons why NO MUSLIM COUNTRIES ALLOW PALESTINIAN REFUGEES TO IMMIGRATE THERE: 1) They want the conflict against the Jews to stay hot, they want the eventual genocide to happen 2) They learned their lesson from Jordan, where the Palestinians that they allowed into their country allied with foreign gov'ts and tried to overthrow the Jordanian government.

  37. 1. No, that was not the mandate. I don't know what garbage opinion peddler you're parroting, but it's clear you don't have any familiarity with the facts. The DOJ announcement: "Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein today announced the appointment of former Department of Justice official and FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III to serve as Special Counsel to oversee the previously-confirmed FBI investigation of Russian government efforts to influence the 2016 presidential election and related matters." You can read the order for yourself. It's just one page long. Again, you're trying to debate based upon a false premise.
    1 point
  38. 1. No, it's not. Read the Mueller quote. 2. When you say "Then why..." It doesn't change the facts on record. The facts remain. Another fact is that Manafort was convicted of a lot more than tax evasion. As for why Mueller didn't think he could prove criminal conspiracy beyond a reasonable doubt, it's not an easy thing to do, particularly when Manafort wouldn't confess and, for some reason, Russian Intelligence agents are beyond subpoena power. Are you aware that Manafort signed a plea deal to cooperate with Mueller's investigation? Then Trumpworld started talking openly about the possibility of pardoning Manafort and, like magic, Manafort refused to cooperate anymore. In simpler terms, he agreed to flip and then Trump bought his silence with a pardon.
    1 point
  39. I'm going to say it very slowly for you, dumbass. Ample evidence of collusion, which is not a legal term. Insufficient evidence to charge criminal conspiracy. Manafort went to extraordinary lengths to conduct ongoing secret meetings to share sensitive campaign intelligence with a Russian intelligence operative, who then delivered that same intel to the Kremlin. The same Kremlin that under Putin's orders was waging an election interference campaign against the American people with the aim of getting Trump elected. They did it over and over and over again. All of that is a matter of congressional record. You can't honestly say the evidence doesn't exist. You can just say it doesn't matter to you and that such behavior is okay.

  40. My parents didn't really instill any pro or anti union sentiment in me growing up. But if you weren't raised to think harassing and causing violence against co-workers in order to further your own contract negotiations is about the most disgusting, immoral thing you can do then you weren't raised at all. People have freedom of association and are free to join or not join whatever union they wish and also are free go where they want, a mob shouldn't be allowed to harass them and physically block their path or otherwise act like a bunch of bullies.
    1 point
  41. Do you think a worker who crosses the picket lines because they need to work should be harassed and targeted by other unionized workers like how some employers harass people who try to start or join a union? Do you believe people have a right to work? There's a difference between "respect" and someone's rights. I didn't say i support "unions", I said I support "union rights", which means the right to organize and strike and not be fired for trying to organize and strike. I support neither unions nor employers outright per say, I support their right to negotiate with each other.

  42. If you don't count the revolts which were put down with incredible bloodshed and slaughter. Or the bloodshed and slaughter done by the Turks because they merely suspected the loyalty of various groups, especially Christians. It's not surprising there's peace in North Korea given anyone who objects to anything gets killed. What did you want them to do? And btw, it was the UN that created Israel, not the Brits. If you don't think there were anti-Jewish pograms throughout the history of the middle east you really aren't conversant with the history there.

  45. Nobody anywhere ever argued that. And in fact when central heating became a thing everyone moved to it when they could and no gov't subsidies were needed. That's not really what they're arguing. But as usual - you have to be dishonest and dismissive so you can score virtue points isntead of making actual points. Whereas you're just stupid and obstinate about everything I see There are major issues with EV's as a complete replacement for cars. The tech is not QUITE there yet for that, and if it were then people would switch without needing to be told to. Which is already the case in the specific circumstances where ev's make sense. BUt as usual as a left wing loser you must pretend that there's NOOOOO issues at all and EVERYTHING everyone who disagrees with you says has no merit and they're just being 'obstinate'. Which makes you look like a m0r0n and makes anyone who might agree with your points wonder if maybe they're not on the wrong side after all.
