The writing is on the wall, soon this is the only way the GOP will be able to win elections. They would eliminate Democrats too if they could get away with it. Shades of Communism. You can vote for any candidate you want as long as they are from the the Communist party.4 points

Is it weird? No, not actually. News sources cover news. Actual information. Not conspiracy and innuendo. Luckily you've got a network that will insinuate and "just ask questions" that you find very super compelling. But to be fair, everyone that I've ever played golf with has told me the intricacies of their business dealings. That's definitely what we talk about. ? My absolute favorite part about all of this is that your vivid imagination is entirely partisan. The documented fact of Trump's campaign chair sharing proprietary polling (targeting) information with Russian intelligence operatives involved in election interference scheme is no big deal, not evidence of anything. But, Joe Biden playing a round of golf with his son and an associate means he's corrupt for sure and lying about everything!!!111!! -- You're such a joke.2 points

So your post is basically a retweet of some random guy retweeting another random guy, all you mindlessly and uncritically parroting what you’ve been told through the social “grapevine” . When will people learn that social media is just gossip in the digital age. It’s clear he’s not telling people to go out and “borrow on their credit cards to stimulate the economy”. He’s explaining the difference between spending and investing, specifically to explain why the government is running a deficit in order to invest in the economy. There’s something about today’s conservatives where they prefer to trust information from ”gossip” and “grapevine” sources rather than actual credible sources. I think it’s because these days they decide whether or not to believe what they hear based on whether or not they personally like the person telling it to them, instead of trying to independently assess the information itself2 points

It is - but what's REALLY weird is he's telling people to borrow on their credit cards to fix their homes... meanwhile sussex STILL hasn't been fixed since he got the job and it's STILL unlivable Hey justin - give me your credit card number, we'll get the place fixed up for ya2 points

I was walking home today - il fait très beau - and this idea (well, ideas) ran through my mind. Since 1896 or so the federal Liberals have been a remarkably successful political party. (As they say, every federal Liberal leader became PM. Trudeau (the father) specifically chose the federal Liberals in 1965 for this reason.) - until 2003 or so. -the federal Liberals have won in Canada through two, uh, ruses: -Ruse A: We get along. -Ruse B: Experts know better. Laurier was more Ruse A, King was more Ruse B. Trudeau (the Dad) used both. As did Chretien. (As a Tory, Mulroney understood both - and in 1988, he got people on side for Ruse B. Amazing!) (Clueless Diefenbaker won first with Ruse B then Ruse A.)1 point

Hey, conservatives, what do you think about this? What do you think about “crooked election laws” this time? The GOP legislature in Montana is seeking to change election law… but only for one single election, the 2024 Senate campaign. In an effort to oust Democrat Jon Tester, they are pushing legislation which would allow only two candidates on the General Election ballot, preventing Libertarian and Independent candidates from being listed on the ballot — where they could potentially siphon votes from the Republican candidate. And this would apply ONLY to the 2024 Senate race and no other race. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/04/14/us/politics/montana-election-bill-senate-tester.html1 point

Here, I disagree. Because of the federal Liberals - we Canadians get along.1 point

I'm just wondering why anyone cares about what spokesperson InBev hires. Would you feel that they were attempting "social engineering" if they hired Pedro Pascal? Do you see the absurdity of your statement?1 point

Because they know they're on the correct side of history and that catering to the customers you're talking about would hurt them, especially if they tailored their ads around these customers values.1 point

Joe Biden called Hunter in December 2018 saying he wanted to talk to him after reading a New York Times story about Hunter's dealings with the Chinese oil giant CEFC Files on Hunter's abandoned laptop previously disclosed by DailyMail.com show that he struck a deal with the Chinese company worth millions of dollars The Times' 2018 story pointed out CEFC's chairman Ye Jianming had been arrested in China and his lieutenant Patrick Ho had been convicted of bribery Hunter accidentally recorded himself referring to Ho as the 'spy chief of China' After seeing the story online, Joe called Hunter and left a voicemail 'I thought the article released online, it's going to be printed tomorrow in the Times, was good. I think you're clear,' Joe said in the voicemail The message flies in the face of the president's repeated denials that he ever discussed Hunter's overseas business dealings with his son I'm pretty sure that Joe, aka the Big Guy, might be curious as to why Hunter keeps paying money to him over all these years.1 point

Transgender people? I think the more notable fact is that by doing this they have identified themselves firmly and proudly on one side of the culture wars. Which seems to me to be wildly against their own best interests. Why take a side and p1ss off half your potential customers?1 point

It's also untrue, at least until AFTER he did it with me in the seciton you quoted. BUt as you can see - when he got called on it he went back and edited out the fake quote he did of me. So the new low would be his, and he's since tried to cover it up1 point

Funny thing, Many companies seem to find that when the y spend a lot on market research the market researchers wind up somehow getting an 'agenda' sucked into their figures. This has cost many companies a lot of money. Gillette for example - a company that literally makes most of it's money selling mens shaving gear somehow got it into their heads after 'market research' that making an advert totally trashing men was a good idea. Other companies have had similar incidents I don't know how it happens but it does occasionally seem to, that a big market research budget sometimes comes back with stupidity like that.1 point

Do you really still think vaccination against C-19 is making a substantial difference to public health? Okay I’ll assume you do. Do you still think that mandating people to be vaccinated against C-19 is necessary and that penalties such as losing one’s job are fair? People on the left say a lot about how authoritarian conservatives are, but for me a great litmus test for who is actually an authoritarian, left or right, depends very much on what people think about dictates such as vaccine mandates, at least where it’s clear that the vaccine doesn’t prevent getting a disease, where the disease isn’t deadly for the vast majority of people, and where vaccination doesn’t stop the spread of the disease. What people claim to be and what they actually do can be quite different, which is why a lot of the traditional associations with the political parties must be thrown out the window today. The traditional workers’ parties seem to be full of elitists who deplore workers.1 point

Yeah, everyone should buy cryptocurrency, base our money on it and, he said we should fire all Bank of Canada...... and the conservatives cheered at how wise PP was. LOL1 point

In-Bev spends millions doing market research. They know their target audience. Prior to doing this.. they did extensive research and they are motivated by the bottom line above all things. Therefore.. it was a calculated gamble. My guess is that this will blow over and be mostly forgotten by summer 2023. The same happened with kneeling by NFL players.1 point

You see that there's a video clip, right? No one has to guess what Trudeau said, or rely on someone else's 2nd hand account of it, all you have to do is click play and turn up your volume. He's saying that if you use that credit card to invest in your education or renovate your house for resale then you're investing while you're also boosting the economy. What makes you think that racking up credit card debt is a sound strategy for you, personally? Why not get a loan instead, and pay 1/4 the interest? What makes you think that having a country full of people with maxed credit cards is good for the economy? It's patently stupid, and the fact that you heard if from a guy who told another guy isn't a big deal at all. It's a big deal that if Trump said it the MSM would flay him alive but when Trudeau says it you hear crickets from the media... you have to hear from a guy who told another guy.1 point

Those states did not violate their constitutions as the supreme courts of the respective states upheld the election law changes which allowed people to vote during a pandemic. Maybe if Trump managed the pandemic those changes wouldn’t have been necessary and he surely would have been re-elected except for his massive mismanagement of the crisis.1 point

It's a retweet of a video about justin, which is right there for you to watch. I had to look up human caterpillar. It's not something i'm into. You are kind of a sick dude aren't you. Nonsense, He says very specifically - "if you use your credit card to go to school or to put an addition on your house.. THAT is how you grow a strong economy". He goes on to say - and this is hilarious - "Because frankly, strong economies invest in themselves". I guess just like budgets balance themselves He's very very specifically saying if you USE YOUR CREDIT CARD to go to school or build an addition on your home in the hopes of making more money someday - that is a great thing because it builds our strong economy. That's how you do it. the credit card isn't an example. It's litearally what he said. If you borrow to 'invest' using your credit card, THAT is how you build a strong economy. Those are his words. So the rest is just you lying to try to defend him again. Which is pathetic.1 point
-
True. And this tends to lead to that well known cycle - the Liberals spend us into ruin to appeal to the people as 'saviors' and 'givers' and 'nurturers', and then the people freak out when they realize what's happening to the economy and they hire the conservatives who are willing to reduce spending, say "no" to special interest groups, and be the 'bad guy' till things improve. Once things get better again (eventually) then the liberals come back and say "wow - those guys never give you anything, hire us and we'll be your hero's again and give you all you want'. And thus the cycle repeats.1 point

You're calling Justin Trudeau a random guy? Soooo - in your opinion he's not telling people to borrow to spend money to stimulate the economy, he's explaining why the gov't borrowed to spend money to stimulate the economy. And suggesting that this is something that would be wise for them to do in similar circumstances because it makes sense. In other words he's telling them that it's a good idea to put home renovations on their credit card. Which is exactly what was said. There's something about today's liberals that they can't just admit a simple truth without lying and exercising in bizarre rhetorical gymnastics first. He's telling people it's a good idea to put money on their credit card to go to school or to improve their home... which is absolutely not true. The current interest rates are insane. Of course - as a liberal you may not be able to comprehend the idea that borrowing at excessively high interest is bad.1 point

You Nazis want proof? Here it is. https://www.foxnews.com/media/ex-obama-staffer-blows-whistle-biden-kickback-scheme-hunter-joined-burisma-malfeasance-office Ex-Obama staffer blows whistle on Biden 'kickback scheme' after Hunter joined Burisma: 'Malfeasance in office' A former Obama administration staffer is blowing the whistle on the Biden family's business dealings, accusing President Biden of being involved in a "kickback scheme" in connection with his son Hunter's overseas business dealings while he was vice president. Mike McCormick, a stenographer for the White House for 15 years, told "Fox & Friends First" the FBI has been ignoring his alarms on the matter despite his willingness to testify under oath before the federal grand jury investigating Hunter. "In February, I went to the FBI and filed one of their tips on their website. If you do that, and you're lying to them, you go to jail. I'm not lying. I'm telling the truth, and I'm not going to jail," McCormick said Thursday. "Joe Biden is a criminal. He was conducting malfeasance in office to enrich his family. Jake Sullivan is a conspirator in that, and there's more... Obama officials involved in it, I believe." Remember THIS act of EXTORTION? Goose Steppers, THIS IS PROOF that Unelected Joe is a criminal. It's weird that he's telling people to fix up their home so that they can sell it for more right after his rising interest rates tanked real estate prices lol. For those of you who are watching for interest rate, June 7 and July 12 are the next two scheduled dates to look out for: https://www.bankofcanada.ca/2022/07/2023-schedule-interest-rate-announcements/ Good news: 2024 is an election year in the US, and traditionally rates go down when that happens, but tbh we have way bigger things to worry about in that span of time, like nuclear war and a new war in Asia. FWIW, Trudeau's actually putting himself at risk there because he's giving unsolicited and very meaningful/risky advice to a whole room full of people who could easily make the case that he's a person they believed they could rely on. If someone maxes out a $100K card based on his advice, so that they can get some renos done by summer or fall, there could easily be 2 more interest rate hikes from the BoC by the time the renos are done, dropping the market. It's quite possible that even after $100K in renos, the value of their home will be lower than it is now. If that's the case, Trudeau will have sewered them, bigtime. He's not protected by parliamentary privilege when he's babbling in a HS gymnasium. I hope he gets taken to the cleaners.1 point

Some are. I look across the street and see the young families. $90,000 4x4. 16' boat, cartopper boat, 3 snowmobiles and 2 quads. One has a 40ft travel trailer and just a wife and 2 yr old. They 'need' gig internet at $150 mo, a family cell plan for another $150, burn wood to save money. All live in rented mobile homes they could buy with property titles for $20K down and lower mortgage payments than they pay now for rent. Their parents are the same. Like I mentioned elsewhere one making $5400 a payday quit his job because his boss was 'stupid' and coworkers were 'goofs'. He asked his foreman to mark him laid off on his ROE but was complaining Head Office marked it 'abandoned job' and he can't get EI. Too many people with no financial sense,1 point

I don’t know that “most” liberals are catholic or even all that religious at all. And the Liberals control the provinces now? That said, the catholic schools should just be done away with and absorbed by the public system. Religious beliefs are inherently antithetical to modern education and critical thinking, and certainly have no place in publicly funded education. And I say this as the husband of a Catholic school teacher.1 point

In the western US, the primary driver of high housing prices is that demand exceeds supply in the short term. In CA, this is compounded by a very wide disparity in income. The top of the food chain can easily afford $4500 per month for a mortgage while the bottom 20% can't even come close. This reality predates the current interest rate hike.1 point
-
I will agree somewhat abut disagree to an extent. Lifestyle and maintaining it seems more important to many than home ownership. Look at the horrendous travel issues at airports, the amounts of people travelling is nuts. Lots of money being spent. People are spending. Yes, rents are up but, so is the expense of building rentals and maintaining rentals. Who pays for that? Renters of course. If you bought a home 5 years ago at 1.2 % and today you had to re mortgage at 5.5 % you would be in trouble too.1 point
-
Well that's not an uncommon theory but it's not really a real thing in this day and age. THere was a book called the wealthy barber many years ago that sold the idea that for MOST people renting was better, subject to a few specifics he outlined. But it hasn't really worked out that way. It does in the SHORT term but not the medium or longer term. Consider how much rents have gone up. If you bought a home 5 years ago, right now you're probably paying less in mortgage and tax if you bought wisely than you woudl be renting. In 5 more years that will be an even starker contrast. Personally i coudn't afford to live where i do if i had to pay today's rents.1 point

Once again you show the total INFERIORITY of blue state public schools, first by citing an unreliable FAKE NEWS OPINION RAG (one that will not open for most of us unless we buy a subscription to its lies) then by not bothering to offer any real DETAILS of this bill. (Then again, you Woke Nazis are too stupid to even be able to SPELL "details." Here's the bill: https://leg.mt.gov/bills/2023/billhtml/SB0566.htm Drive to the nearest red state and find someone with enough education to read that bill, simplify it and explain it to your third grade dropout mind. Oh, by the way. YOU GOOSE STEPPERS HAVE NO FCKING RIGHT TO BITTTTTCH ABOUT CHANGES IN ELECTION LAWS FOR A PARTICULAR ELECTION SINCE THE MAJOR CHANGES IN MAIL IN VOTING ALLOWED THE FRAUD WHICH ILLEGALLY ELECTED BIDEN. SEVERAL STATES ACTUALLY VIOLATED THEIR OWN CONSTITUTIONS BY CHANGING THOSE RULES.-1 points
-
The states that committed voter fraud DAMNED SURE VIOLATED THEIR CONSTITUTIONs, because the mail vote items bypassed the legislatures. Trump managed the OBAMA VIRUS better than any DemoNazi could have, and the economy was expanding in his last six months in office. After people started realizing that the word "pandemic" was a LIE, their behavior shifted and the economy healed. Trump was REELECTED in a landslide ON ELECTION NIGHT. And it took voter fraud to overturn that reelection. I'm also assuming you haven't looked at the law I cited to prove the LIE that the Treason Times slimed all over the place. We're waiting.-1 points
