Arguably, this isn't a totally CANADIAN issue, but I couldn't think of any other folder to put it in. "Honestly, I don't understand all the conservative frustration over Derek Mulvaney being the spokesperson for Bud Lite. It's a man identifying as a woman being a spokesperson for water identifying as beer. Kinda makes sense."1 point

You Nazis want proof? Here it is. https://www.foxnews.com/media/ex-obama-staffer-blows-whistle-biden-kickback-scheme-hunter-joined-burisma-malfeasance-office Ex-Obama staffer blows whistle on Biden 'kickback scheme' after Hunter joined Burisma: 'Malfeasance in office' A former Obama administration staffer is blowing the whistle on the Biden family's business dealings, accusing President Biden of being involved in a "kickback scheme" in connection with his son Hunter's overseas business dealings while he was vice president. Mike McCormick, a stenographer for the White House for 15 years, told "Fox & Friends First" the FBI has been ignoring his alarms on the matter despite his willingness to testify under oath before the federal grand jury investigating Hunter. "In February, I went to the FBI and filed one of their tips on their website. If you do that, and you're lying to them, you go to jail. I'm not lying. I'm telling the truth, and I'm not going to jail," McCormick said Thursday. "Joe Biden is a criminal. He was conducting malfeasance in office to enrich his family. Jake Sullivan is a conspirator in that, and there's more... Obama officials involved in it, I believe." Remember THIS act of EXTORTION? Goose Steppers, THIS IS PROOF that Unelected Joe is a criminal. HE BROKE THE LAW. LEGALLY ELECTED PRESIDENT TRUMP was ILLEGALLY indicted by a rogue prosecutor who SUBORNED PERJURY.1 point

It's weird that he's telling people to fix up their home so that they can sell it for more right after his rising interest rates tanked real estate prices lol. For those of you who are watching for interest rate, June 7 and July 12 are the next two scheduled dates to look out for: https://www.bankofcanada.ca/2022/07/2023-schedule-interest-rate-announcements/ Good news: 2024 is an election year in the US, and traditionally rates go down when that happens, but tbh we have way bigger things to worry about in that span of time, like nuclear war and a new war in Asia. FWIW, Trudeau's actually putting himself at risk there because he's giving unsolicited and very meaningful/risky advice to a whole room full of people who could easily make the case that he's a person they believed they could rely on. If someone maxes out a $100K card based on his advice, so that they can get some renos done by summer or fall, there could easily be 2 more interest rate hikes from the BoC by the time the renos are done, dropping the market. It's quite possible that even after $100K in renos, the value of their home will be lower than it is now. If that's the case, Trudeau will have sewered them, bigtime. He's not protected by parliamentary privilege when he's babbling in a HS gymnasium. I hope he gets taken to the cleaners.1 point

It's not remotely self evident in the slightest. And apparently you're unable to explain it. And yes - you absolutely SHOULD have to explain what your statements mean that's how it works - if you make a claim you have to explain that claim It is beyond daft to think you don't. LOL - ok so just to be clear - you admit you didn't explain it because 'You shouldn't have to' - and this is proof that because i don't understand the thing you DIDN"T explain, i don't understand english Do you understand what a retard you look like right now LOLOLOL!!!!! So lets be honest - you've realized that you said something dumb and you don't want to admit it. That's what is happening here. And now you're trying everything you can to not have to admit it, which is why you refuse to explain how the antivaxed "Forced" the vaccinated to do anything. Well there you go - next time just admit you were wrong to begin with,1 point

Some are. I look across the street and see the young families. $90,000 4x4. 16' boat, cartopper boat, 3 snowmobiles and 2 quads. One has a 40ft travel trailer and just a wife and 2 yr old. They 'need' gig internet at $150 mo, a family cell plan for another $150, burn wood to save money. All live in rented mobile homes they could buy with property titles for $20K down and lower mortgage payments than they pay now for rent. Their parents are the same. Like I mentioned elsewhere one making $5400 a payday quit his job because his boss was 'stupid' and coworkers were 'goofs'. He asked his foreman to mark him laid off on his ROE but was complaining Head Office marked it 'abandoned job' and he can't get EI. Too many people with no financial sense,1 point

That's the thing. The left and groups like antifa like to excuse their violence and hatred by claiming that it's just normal and it's not EVERYBODY and what can you expect. But the reality is that if they DIDN'T support that violence they would disassociate themselves with those groups. ANd the violence is pretty prevalent. If a conservative type of person does something wrong the other conservatives say "That guy did wrong, lock him up we want nothing to do with him!!" When someeone on the left does it they literally say 'oh well, everybody's got some violent loons in their orgs" and start rounding up bail money for them. Sorry - but that makes them accomplices and enablers. Precisely.1 point

Yep, him and me and the vast vast vast majority of the others. Well that's fine - that's two of you then But if you actually were a conservative you would realize that while that might be a personal value of yours it's not a CONSERVATIVE value. Even Candice has said clearly she won't push for changes to the abortion laws. You see - she is VERY different from you as a conservative - she understands good conservatives don't demand other people think the same way. I see you have no idea what it means to be conservative. You sound more like you belong on the left with that authoritarian bullshit. "I'm the only person in teh world who knows what it means to be conservative and anyone who disagrees with me is not!" Plleeeaaassee - your mommie might tell you that you're the most important thing in the universe but nobody else is going to. Why don't you go ask her for a cookie and then you can go back to the basement for a nap. You have nothing to teach anyone about being a conservative. You'd be more at home with the far left these days, they like telling people how to think too.1 point

"Social Justice" is just a code name for NAZISM. In the logical world there is no such thing as "social justice." There is just JUSTICE. Social Justice is about taking money from those who earn it and giving it to those who do not. That is not justice. It's called THEFT. Anyone who thinks diversity does not exist today and has not existed for the entire history of mankind is an @!diot. Suggesting there are any TWO humans who are even CLOSE to the same is the action of someone with SERIOUS cognition issues, as well as racial ones. Suggesting ALL BLACKS THINK ALIKE, is pretty much the goal of "inclusiveness." In an expanding economy, one is INCLUDED in areas one EARNS. Change occurs naturally. It is the LAST thing Woke encourages. Woke philosophy is a mirror image of this item from the 19th Century. https://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1848/communist-manifesto/1 point

If they threatened to fire you without compensation if you did not comply and that job was your primary income that you use to feed and house yourself and your family - they ABSOLUTELY forced you. That's called coersion. Now - you can argue that such force was necessary given the pandemic, you can argue that sometimes we have to step on individual civil rights and liberties to address a greater right held by a greater number of people. But - you can't really argue that you took the vaccine by 'free choice' if you were being significantly pressured to do so. This isn't complicated, and it's been recognized in law for a long time.1 point

I don’t know that “most” liberals are catholic or even all that religious at all. And the Liberals control the provinces now? That said, the catholic schools should just be done away with and absorbed by the public system. Religious beliefs are inherently antithetical to modern education and critical thinking, and certainly have no place in publicly funded education. And I say this as the husband of a Catholic school teacher.1 point

Understood. The biggest expense is the mortgage also. A $600K condo has to rent at a high price.1 point

Rental costs are affected by many things. Yes, real estate prices and vacancies are some but so are expenses, utilities, taxes, labour and same as home ownership expenses etc etc. Oh and lets not forget the profit landlords expects. I already responded to someone that said "rent a $1,500/month single bedroom apartment instead of buying a $400K-$500K detached house?" and said, "Well, payments are very dependant on how much you have to put down on the house and what your mortgage is. A $600K mortgage will be well over $4K per month. $400K is over $2.5K per month. Not including any utilities and property taxes. "1 point

What I want? I don't want anything. I have what I want and need. I am saying not everyone wants to be or will be homeowners. What makes economic sense to one person can be completely different in another person. "Blowing your money" is a very individual thing. Some want a house, others want fancy cars, designer clothes and exotic vacations. Millions of people, all over the world raise their families in rental accommodations so yes, it works just fine. 1/3 of Canadians do not own a home and that has been the rate for many decades. I have no argument, I am stating facts. To each their own for their own reasons as opposed to you where you cannot see past that everyone should own a house..1 point

People make anti-trans statements every day. Nobody should make anti-anybody statements. I mean… we’re all born one way or another and it doesn’t make any of us superior to anybody else. When you look at these white supremacist guys, they’re mostly ultra-poor, badly educated white men. They are failures and the only way they can feel superior about anything is by thinking that their skin color or their choice of religion makes them better. But it doesn’t.1 point

I told you from jump that LGBTQ people are at the most at risk of any group -- race, religion, class, creed whatever. That's pretty obvious. I don't think it should be treated as a controversial statement, but here: "The figures show that LGBT people are 2.4 times more likely to suffer a violent hate crime attack than Jews (8.3 divided by 3.5). In the same way, gays are 2.6 times more likely to be attacked than blacks; 4.4 times more likely than Muslims; 13.8 times more likely than Latinos; and 41.5 times more likely than whites, according to the FBI figures."1 point

You were on a bit of a roll there, this is a more reasonable topic for you. 1) Israel is far more open to compromise than the Palestinians because the Israelis don't have "genocide" as a long-term goal. 2) Kind of ironic to see leftists complaining about "illegal settlers". Thanks for the excellent link. Regardless of what the UN's Human Rights Committee thinks, why would any Ontario politician purposely commit political suicide by taking away someone's educational rights that they've had for the last 200 years? I would prefer giving all religious minorities the same rights, except past events have indicated that course of action is political suicide also. Things are what they are for mostly political reasons and are not likely to change anytime soon.1 point

I would contend that what qualifies a group as a religion is if they get most of their own spiritual meaning from it and if its adherents are forced to believe/repeat/act on things which are either from the realm of fantasy or ostensibly false. Conservatives usually have their own religion, and conservatism doesn't require anyone to believe or say anything without actual, of-this-earth reasons. Eg, you can be a conservative regardless of whether or not you believe the 2020 election was illegitimate. There are also good reasons for believing that it was illegitimate. 1) The Dems were caught cheating several times on the 2016 election, 2) they spent the next 4 years trying to make election-fraud-friendly voting reforms law such as no-ID voting, mass-mailing unsolicited ballots and then not requiring any form of signature matching, etc. 3) They set up a witch hunt to steal the 2016 election, complete with serious crimes by the FBI 4) Joe Biden couldn't get more than 200 people to most of his 'rallies' and he only had 1 a week. I think 2,000 was his biggest crowd. Trump routinely got tens of thousands of people to his rallies and he had 3 or more per week. 5) Cnn was the biggest election denier in the history of elections from 2016 - 2020, and on election night 2020 they were already proclaiming the absolute integrity of the 2020 election, while Trump still looked like he might win. It's absolutely ridiculous to just assume that the Dems didn't cheat. Of course they did at some level, but what can't be proven before Jan 6th is dead and buried. The country has to move fwd at that point and it's way too big of a deal to switch directions on Jan 7th. Re: leftism as a religion (cult), a few examples of things that people have to say are: -women are the equal of men physically -trans women menstruate -trans women can have babies -8 yr olds possess the wisdom and maturity to choose gender reassignment therapy but 18 yr olds don't possess the wisdom and maturity to understand how loans work -defunding police will lead to a better society -letting violent felons out of jail is crucial to make society better and more inclusive for everyone -the vaccines work, but unvaccinated people can give vaccinated people covid, and then the vaccinated people can die from it -being forced to choose between losing your job and taking the vaccine doesn't constitute being forced to vaccinate -it's not a big deal that the FBI commits crimes now -election denial in the US started in 2020, it wasn't a thing from 2016-2020 -white people are guilty of slavery, no one else really is -protesting 24/7 at SCJ's homes is reasonable in a lawful society -it was a mostly peaceful protests because less than 20 businesses were looted and burned, and only 5 innocent people were assaulted -looting is reparations Any reasonable person understands full well that the things mentioned above are a pile of mindless drivel, but in order to maintain one's status within the liberal ranks, they have to learn it by rote and they have to say it on cue. Do you remember the gesundheitspass mantra? "The vaccines work, and vaccinated people don't get infected and they don't spread covid, but unvaccinated people can give vaccinated people covid, and then the vaccinated people can die from it." I can't even imagine trying to say that to someone with a straight face, but it was a mainstream belief among vaxtards/leftards. And they wouldn't say it politely either, it had to be shrieked. No one would believe it if it wasn't shrieked. If you look at the last few pages of this thread you will see that Contrarian is trying his hardest to make the case that the vaccine works really well, while completely ignoring every stat ever published about covid deaths. That's a perfect example of "believing something when all evidence points in a different direction." Covid deaths went up by a lot after 85% of Canadians vaxed. There were 24% more covid deaths in 2022 than 2020, and 30% more in 2022 than 2021. Almost 90% of those deaths were among the multi-vaxed. Dude, that's GAME OVER for the vax efficacy debate. The whole point of vaxing everyone was theoretically to get deaths down. But when deaths were up by such a large margin in 2022 the media almost completely stopped talking about them. WTF?1 point

I'm actually in favor of fixing it up, i know mind blowing... right now this is a good look for the liberals, they can't even fix up a historical home in the 8 years they have been in power, i could see if they were busy with other massive projects.... not sure what those would be... you can blame this on whom ever you want , i think the 8 years speak for themselves, It is not done becasue they are not up to the job... everything is good, soon your party is going to be on the streets, and the conservatives will make that decision...and liberals in all their awe will accuse the conservatives of using magic...1 point

Well there's a fair number of independent orgs doing research on it - you can always check them out. I don't think there's any doubt that the russians will take bakhmud but - what have they paid for it? In the last 3 months they've only advanced about a km and the losses have been bloody. We get less about what ukraine has paid, but indications are they've experienced a reasonably favorable loss ratio. Bakhmud is going to be a phyrric victory - the kind were you say 'a few more victories like that and we'll have lost this war'. We'll see. The ukraine offensive is just about due in the next few months or so and we'll see how that goes. well i think russia wanted that but wanted the whole ukraine back in the fold. And there is (or was) a certain level of russian sympathy everywhere in the ukraine. It was russian territory for a long time, there has been endless problems with corruption and scandal with the various gov'ts, some people like the idea of being part of russia. So i think putin thought that he could make a quick stab and gain control of the country and shoot the leaders, and then people would kind of say "meh - well, it is what it is" and he'd control the entire region including the pro russian ones. And that probably would have been true if he'd won. And it was close. I don't think he'd have JUST been interested in the donbas because he would have been in the same pickle he is now - ukraine would resist it and the allies could pour in resources. I think he just wanted to take the whole thing in a week and then nobody could have said anything.1 point

Output1 [Document1] (johnzogbystrategies.com) X02-30.spo [Document4] (johnzogbystrategies.com) Key highlights from the survey of 1,038 adults The survey found that 67% of respondents received one or more COVID-19 vaccines, while 33% are unvaccinated. Furthermore, among those vaccinated, 6% received one dose, 28% received two doses, 21% received three doses, and 12% took four or more. Of those receiving a COVID-19 vaccine, 15% say they’ve been diagnosed by a medical practitioner with a new condition within a matter of weeks to several months after taking the vaccine. That 15% figure translates to likely just over 30 million vaccine impacted adults. Other key demographics of newly diagnosed medical conditions after COVID-19 vaccines show: 17% of those receiving two doses 13% of respondents had three shots 30% of those ages 18-29 23% of those ages 30-49 6% of those ages 50-64 4% of those older than 65 7% of whites 21% of African-Americans 32% of Hispanics 15% of liberals 14% of moderates 8% of conservatives A follow-up question provided a list of medical conditions and asked diagnosed respondents to “select all that apply.” Among those who were medically diagnosed with a new condition within a matter of weeks to several months, the top five cited conditions were: 21% blood clots 19% heart attack 18% liver damage 17% leg clots/lung clots 15% stroke Overall, 67% reported that getting the vaccine was a good decision, 24% were neutral and 10% regret it. Survey participants were then asked if someone they personally know had been medically diagnosed with a new medical condition within the same time frame. Overall, 26% reported yes, while 63% reported no. Looking at age cohorts: 34% of those ages 18-29 say they know someone who was diagnosed, as did 30% of those ages 30-49, 21% of those ages 50-64, and 18% of those older than 65 Again, respondents were offered the same list of conditions and asked to “select all that apply.” The top five cited conditions were: 28 % blood clots 20% stroke 19% autoimmune 16% lung clots 15% heart attack Among those under age 50 – 62% report receiving a COVID-19 vaccine vs. 38% who have had none. Among those receiving any COVID-19 vaccine, almost one quarter — 22% — report being medically diagnosed within a matter of weeks to several months after taking a shot. The top five cited new conditions include: 21% autoimmune 20% blood clots 19% stroke/lung clots 17% liver damage/leg clots/heart attack 15% disrupted menstrual cycle/Guillain-Barré/Bell’s palsy Regarding describing the conditions, 47% report mild, 43% report serious and 10% report severe/still recovering. Describing their experience with taking one or more COVID-19 vaccines, 58% report it was a good decision, 28% are neutral and 14% regret it. Finally, 30% of those ages 18-49 report knowing someone else who has been medically diagnosed within a matter of weeks to several months after taking a COVID-19 vaccine. The top five cited medically diagnosed conditions of the person known by those under age 50 are: 30% blood clots 23% stroke 20% autoimmune 18% leg clots/lung clots 17% heart attack The responding adults in this group had this age distribution: – 30% of those ages 18-29 – 23% of those ages 30-49 – 6% of those ages 50-64 – 4% of those older than 65 These data show that it is working age adults and not the elderly that account for most vaccine harmful impacts. This is consistent with reports from insurance companies of recent major increases in deaths among working age people not explained by COVID infection, but from vaccines. These data are consistent with countless studies and reports about vaccine induced health impacts, both injuries and deaths that result from damage to blood. Moreover, so many of the survey respondents had three or four vaccine shots, and research has found that with increasing jabs the more your immune system is degraded. Thus explaining so many adverse vaccine impacts. These results also justify considerable concerns about giving COVID vaccines to children. There is far more risk from medical impacts than any benefits because data have always shown children do not face major risks from COVID infection.1 point
