  2. Today i raised my glass of beer to lost brothers, and sisters, I sat around a table full of comrades where we told war stories, most of them funny, some of them sad. and how bad we all miss them. This Remembrance Day was different i took with me a good friend of mine, son, he turned 19 this year, his dad was killed not far from me in a fire fight, he has been bugging me to bring him along for a long time now, he's been wanting to meet all his dads' friends, and since we live all across Canada and only meet up once or twice a year, i finally said yes... anyways he learned what his dad was like, what kind of man he was , and how good of a soldier he was. it was a time he'll never forget, like everyone he drank way too much, his mother is pissed at me for bringing him home in that condition, but she'll get over it, I hope. Remembrance Day is not only for those that have passed on, but let's also include those that have been left behind let's not forget their pain and suffering . To those that did not come home cheers. To those that got left behind cheers. May we never forget you.

  3. It was in Canada and did not in any way involve sex, sexuality, or morals? Don't be naive. That certain men do it has nothing to do with political leaning. But that it's become this fashionable thing where it's celebrated and championed as perfectly normal and good liberal parents take their tykes to have a drag queen read stories to them is most definitely political. It's woke and part of the culture wars. And as far as I can see the only reason for its popularity among the Left is that they know the Right hates it. It's part of the Left's version of 'owning the libtards'.

  4. It has got nothing to do with humor or the lack of at all. It is all about image, why do they wear suits in parliament or when standing in front of the media, and not speedo's or tutus'. Why is it the police made you wear a uniform, because it made you look sexy or because it made you authoritarian, respectful, no humor in it. The entire world is not ready for a nations leader to take part in a gay tv show. Canada already has a deficit in respect globally, it does not need any help in losing any more. Do you think his socks has boasted his reputation as a G-8 nations leader?

  5. Trudeau has probably calculated that the usual reactionary suspects who read this and freak out the way they do will do more to wake people up than anything. It also provides a distraction that prevents people from paying attention to actual issues like health care, climate change and an increasingly autocratic, authoritarian world.

  6. No. Borodino was a large pitched battle, ending in a pyrrhic victory for Napoleon over the Russian army, prior to their capturing Moscow. The Russian army withdrew, scorched the earth behind them, and then the Grande Armée starved and froze in their hundreds of thousands. In the subsequent retreat back to France, almost none of them made it back. This was the end of Napoleon's Empire, aside from a brief resurgence that ended at Waterloo. It is a major plot point in Tolstoy's War and Peace. I think DoP wants to draw parallels to this in Ukraine or...something, except in this case Russia appears to be France and he doesn't realize that.

  9. 1... I get that you were in the air force, but in this case, you seem to have the wrong facts, Mulroney did push to have the Airbuses purchased and upgraded as you mentioned, and Chretien pushed to have Bombardier lear jets purchase of new VIP aircraft, while the forces were mid-stream in reductions somehow the PM's managed to have new VIP aircraft pushed through. 2....I was replying to your post here, in which you state: And yet it is CFHA that has control over all housing PMQ's and SQ's, these are "maintained" through CE which is a department within the Canadian Forces. Upgrades and modernization projects are funded through CFHA, also a department that operates through Minister of National defense. I mentioned the high vacancy rate in most PMQ areas across the country to underline the fact that there was no waiting line, military members who choose to live in PMQ's at one time, did it to save money to purchase their own home, when rents went up to equal those of downtown, due to another benefit being cut, people moved out because the PMQ's were not the same quality. most if not, all were built in the early 1950's, when family units were larger, but homes were much smaller, and despite that no amount of lipstick were going to bring them up to standard that is found downtown in much more modern and larger homes.

  11. The latest that i hears is that the Chinese communists have a police office in Ontario somewhere. What the hell is that all about? This Marxist dictator in Ottawa gets more dangerous to Canada and Canadians every day. This Marxist has already said that he admires Chinese communism, and I know that he is trying very hard to bring Chinese like credit score system communism to Canada. The Marxist loves China and he a a prodigy of the WEF. What more do we need to know that this buffoon is a danger to freedom loving Canada and Canadians. This buffoon has to go now. Works for me. LOL.

  17. We only have to look at Trudeau's and the Minister of Foreign Affairs comments to see they are weak and meaningless. China could care less. It will continue to be business as usual with practically no changes in Canada to protect our democracy. The leader of the opposition, Pierre Polievre, has demanded action, but we will see what happens. I am not holding my breath.

  18. How does standing up to China get him more votes? If the public doesn't know it's happening and therefore it's not making him less popular he's going to give a crap. Been 8 years, we know how the guy works. He's not in this for his country, he's in this for himself. He's in it for the attention and the power and the glory and seeing himself on the news every day. He's a narcissist.

  19. Canada is economically beholden to China at this point, so there is not much room to manoeuvre. Canada also depends on them for certain essential products, like hospital supplies, PPE and drugs, to name a few. Once upon a time Canada had a very strong relationship with the USA. As China began to ramp up its industrial capability, their so-called great leap forward, Canada increasingly shifted its trade towards China. Globalists touted the benefits of "free trade" would bring us closer to world peace, bridge the divide between east and west. Others saw this as a lie, it amounted to exploitation of the Chinese people and essentially, making a deal with the devil, that increasing China's power and influence would only make them stronger, and the communist party leadership are not to be trusted. I read that today Canada gets like 90% of its drugs from China. We make very little medication here. Now there is a terrible shortage of children's medication, without much explanation why this has happened, nor any mention of someone having a plan to do something about it, IE where is the goddam government, is this not their thing. You would think so. I'll tell you where they are... this week Trudeau's reps walked away from the premiers meeting in BC, held to discuss the health care crisis. The man was too busy to attend, and after those shenanigans, clearly not interested in talking about it. He does have the time though to attend and be on a drag queen TV show. Those acting skills really come through when you need them, I tell you. .... But now I hear my friends can cross the US border, and buy all the meds that their babies need. Seems the US has enough supply, but not Canada. Why exactly izzit? I say 1 + 1 = 2 ... Canadians need to connect the dots. Figure out where the Venn diagram intersects...

  20. I'm not offended, disappointed is a better word, He is after all the face of this nation and represents it on a global scale. one would have to ask the question is this the action of a Nations leader we come to expect. So far I'd say no, as this is the first nation leader to do so, why is that. Next is this part of his job description or expected activates for a nation's leader, this is all about media time, nothing more. a sad excuse really when this country is in crises with much bigger fish to fry, compare to Canadians losing their homes or unable to feed themselves so there is that it, being inappropriate for the time. And yes i expect him to be working on one of those files, not prancing around on a game show. That is the problem with a lot of Canadians we have been bombarded by behavior that is not of the norm, that now it does not register at all, we shrug our shoulders and carry on. And i don't recall anyone raging about it, perhaps calling it out, or voicing our dislike, but raging does not fit any definition of what is going on here. It cost Justin his public opinion numbers, it cost Canada's image and global opinion numbers as well, It has not harmed me that i know of, however there are Canadians that depend on our nations standing, ie soldiers/ diplomates if our enemies think we are weak or unmanly then yes it does place them in danger.

Just a little bit?? ? Nice heels in your emoji, by the way. You have good taste. IIRC, the last Prime Minister to be Grand Marshal of Calgary's Pride Parade was a Conservative. I'm not sure if He was PM at the time, but he was definitely a Conservative.

  22. At Borodino, Napoleon and Russia fought a bloody battle which Napoleon technically won but at heavy cost. The Russians made an orderly tactical retreat but Napoleon did not pursue them because he falsely believed they were more organized and stronger than they actually were. The Russians scorched the earth as they withdrew and surrendered Moscow to the French. However by withdrawing the Russians were able to reconstitute their forces while Napoleons battered army found itself extended beyond supply lines and stranded in Moscow with very little food and supplies and realized they had been lured into a trap. Napoleon tried to break out of Moscow and withdraw closer to his supply lines but the Russians attacked them in the open and defeated them decisively in a number of engagements. What DOP(e) is trying to suggest is that the Russians are losing in purpose as part of a bigger plan. To be fair, the Ukrainians have publicly said over the last several days that they mindful of the potential that the retreat could be a trap but so far it appears legit.

  23. Prime Minister Harper appeared on the Rick Mercer Report. What is the difference? Crossdressing has nothing to do with political leaning. The Chief of the Imperial German General Staff, FBI Director Hoover, film star Randolph Scott...the list goes on. It has nothing to do with left or right, gay or straight or feminism. It is all about fashion choice and having a good time. The critics of the Prime Minister taking a few minutes out of his day to drop in on the Drag Race should stop getting their panties in a twist and lighten up. ??

  25. Ah yes, the fabled General Winter, who's decimated so many invading armies on the Eastern Steppes. The difference this time? Russia is the one doing the invading, with the longer (and more stressed) supply lines. Russia is the one in hostile territory with unmotivated, poorly trained and poorly equipped troops trying to invade a country that's already very well acquainted with Russian Ukrainian Winter.

  27. More evidence of what you say is true is the fact Trudeau is jetting off today, Remembrance Day, to southeast Asia for more conferences instead of attending the Remembrance Day services at the Ottawa cenotaph as any Prime Minister should. Why? He is first and foremost a globalist and loves jetting around the world creating greenhouse gases while he tells Canadians he is fighting for "net zero" emissions.

  45. It was sure nice to see the people of Romania finally take back their freedoms from that communist dictator Ceausescu who was allowed to enslave his people under communism for way too many decades. It was nice to see that cornered communist coward fly off in his helicopter like the rat that he was. But in the end, he did not get too far. In the end he and his commie biotch were both arrested and placed up against the wall and executed. The people finally won a battle. Those Romanian people reminded me of our own little revolution that we had last winter called the truckers convoy peaceful revolution that was broken up by our own WEF globalist Marxist dictator in Ottawa. I heard that the rat took off and hid somewhere rather than face the people. Communist cowards like him are good at that. When the going gets tough for the commies, they run like rats and the cowards that they really are. Sadly, for we the peasants, the WEF globalist Marxist dictator in Ottawa is still in control and still running and still trying to ruin Canada and Canadians lives. I hope that the day will come when we can all see this Marxist exit off the rooftop of the Parliament building with a para-sail and sails back over to Quebec where the liberal Marxist belongs. Quebec is full of Marxist lovers. Of course, he could crash before he makes it to Quebec? Awe, too bad, so sad indeed for such a thing to happen. ?

  46. Hi, I went to the Guy-Favreau complex in Montréal to get a passport 2 weeks ago on a Monday, having declared mine lost a few years ago (thankfully I recovered it but since it was declared lost, I had to get a new one). I waited in a line for 2 hours with my spouse, because we need to go to Belgium as her mother passed away recently and funerals are there. Finally, at the counter where the government representative was, I was told alongside my partner that we needed to have a form in order, filled, before talking to her to get an appointment to get a passport. No one told us that when we went in the line, despite there being 5 staff members asking us why the hell we where there, none bothered to tell us we needed to fill a form before inquiring to the officers. The officer gives me the forms, and we're back at the end of the line after we take 5 minutes to fill them. We spend another 2 hours, finally for them to tell us we'll get an appointment for in 4 days. That's what I call efficient, baby. I had an appointment for 2PM, went there at 1:45PM, and waited until 3:30PM to finally get my passport. I had to wait in line despite having an appointment scheduled at a certain time. It's great out here, our procedures are so modern and very up to date in the great country of ours. Oh and it's not better at the provincial level. When I had lost my Health Insurance Card in a moving, I had to go on Québec website for health insurance to order a paper form to be sent at my Home, that I could send back to the Government of Québec. I did a mistake in the form so they sent me back my form, and I had to resend it. It took 6 weeks to get my Health Insurance Card back. I could have been sick during those times, but hey, I guess I'm lucky. Talking about the form... it could have been available on the online portal of the Québec website, but no, I had to order a paper form on their online web service.
