Interesting and concerning study, and I agree with you when you said meeting people humanizes them. I think resumes shouldn’t include names or references to race. Many of the negative biases people hold are eliminated or reduced as people meet and learn to trust people from other ethnic/racial groups. This was the value of desegregation, which is all the more reason why creating new forms of identification or grouping by race/ethnicity is bad policy. Attitudes change as people integrate. I’m seeing a lot of Black Mentoring or Racialized programs. I’m not sure how these approaches add social currency to minority groups. I understand the empowerment idea, sharing experiences, and wanting not to feel like a minority group. Is spending more time around people who look like you the route to removing biases? Young children from different races playing together don’t seem to have as many problems accepting each other as today’s adults, including the ones who participate in anti-racism training.3 points

From wiki: Rouleau, the judge appointed by Trudeau to look into Trudeau's abuse of power, is an LPOC donor: Nat Post has some interesting info as well: https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/trudeau-announces-emergencies-act-inquiry-headed-by-judge So it's approved by Marco Mendicino, the guy who was chosen to fall on his sword by the Libs in the exact same way that Bill Morneau fell on his sword to get the WE scandal off the news. I'm pretty sure that if Trump appointed his own GOP-donor judge to oversee a commission into one of his own scandals the leftists would be carrying emotional support animals, wearing vagina hats, they'd loot some stores, burn some buildings to the ground, torture another retarded kid, tear down some statues, overrun a small community and kill some black kids there, etc, in a bunch of "mostly peaceful protests". There would also be "peaceful protesters" at the judge's home, with an insignificant number of would-be murderers in the crowd. Honestly, it kinda sucks to always be on the peaceful side.2 points

The psychological conditions for the rot to set in have always been there, I would say. The human mind is pretty much the same for all of recorded history. Psychological framing, coping mechanism and heuristics have always been there. Conditions (especially economic) provide the backdrop for narratives to form. When everything is going well, people are usually very complacent. When they're not going well, the tendency to blame outside influences are easy to take advantage of. A shrinking middle class and increasing poverty are ripe conditions for this.2 points

At least these judgements show that there are limits, and that there can be very serious consequences for it. Alex Jones, I think you'd agree, is more of a symptom of the rot. It's easy to just blame it all on Trump or the Republican Party or the conspiracy clown parade, but the foundation for all of this was set in the decade(s) leading up to it, with years of no-compromise politics, weaponized outrage and out-of-touch policymaking that completely disregarded the sentiments of a hundred million Americans.2 points

“A Minnesota Trump supporter admitted on October 11 that he vandalized and started a fire at his own property in 2020, after claiming that he was targeted because he had a Trump flag. Denis Molla told authorities that his garage door was spray-painted with an antifa symbol and graffiti saying ‘Biden 2020’ and ‘BLM.’ After the incident, Molla received more than $78k from a GoFundMe campaign he launched and the fraudulent insurance claims he filed. However, the sum was still short of the $300k of insurance claims he initially submitted. Molla pleaded guilty to wire fraud and could face up to four years in prison. According to his attorney, he plans to return the money he received from his donors and has already paid back the insurance money.” Source: https://nowthisnews.com/news/trump-supporter-who-graffitied-his-own-house-with-blm-biden-2020-pleads-guilty?&utm_medium=social&utm_source=YouTube&utm_campaign=nowthisnews1 point

That's why you're having so much trouble with this topic. Nobody is saying that Canada is systematically racist. We're saying that systemic racism is a challenge that ethnic minorities face in Canada. Those are two very different statements and mean very different things, and we can't really debate many of your points. The former is something you consider an accusation meant to put you down or subvert you. The latter is an appeal to try to remove challenges that ethnic minorities statistically and also verifiably face. I can say in the same breath that Canada is probably one of the least racist countries in the world, while still affirming that systemic racism is a substantial problem problem. Measuring ourselves against China, Russia or Saudi-Arabia doesn't really help anyone.1 point

It did not look very good at OKA, when the military was given orders to contain and take down Indigenous blockades, and protest sites, as well as the main camp... No one wants that again, fighting Canadians is not defending our nation, but rather our government.1 point

Governments today can be broadly broken down into two forms: Single-party government, and multi-party government. There are many single-party governments: Russia, China, Venezuela, Iran, Saudi Arabia, North Korea. Wherever you have single-party government, you have crackdowns on civil rights and freedom, because the ruling party wants to stay in power. Where you have multi-party government, you almost always have better civil rights conditions, because political dissent and opposition are allowed. So what you try to distinguish as Capitalist/Socialist, I think is better described as Single Party/Multi-Party. The Marxist definition of Socialism is different from pre-existing and post-Marx definitions of Socialism. Marx did not invent the term and he and Engles used the terms socialism and communism interchangeably. By the commonly used, non-Marxist definitions, social security is socialist and the US military is communist.1 point

Dude... This is the sort of nonsense that has idiots like Donna LeMon and MSNBC salivate. The report this over and over until silly hearsay becomes reality. Much like the RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA folly. Need I remind you... https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/if-russia-invades-ukraine-there-will-be-no-nord-stream-2-biden-says-2022-02-07/ Poland's former Defense and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski tweeted a photo of one of the gas leaks and wrote, "Thank you, USA." Sikorski later deleted his tweet. American helicopter with the call sign FFAB123, hovered over both sabatoge sites on Sept. 2. Hmmm...gee that's sort of interesting eh?1 point

This might get interesting. Hopefully they will investigate the seizure of bank accounts without court involvement. Here’s a quote from one article: “If the government made better decisions about what record to put before this court — a proper record — then we would not be here,” said CCF counsel Sujit Choudhry during the hearing. “We are here because the government has left us no choice to try and get the truth.” https://nationalpost.com/news/federal-court-hears-preliminary-arguments-in-emergencies-act-legal-challenge/wcm/cff51510-90c5-4d6f-858d-60938647b946/amp/1 point

The standard politically correct answer to your observations is that this man’s alcoholism is due to his suffering of inter generational trauma caused by colonialism, residential schools, and other oppression. Yet not everyone who has suffered from obstacles or trauma becomes an alcoholic. What’s more, there were issues with the raiding of trading posts and Indigenous alcoholism centuries ago. I’ve read about it. Again, I’m sure there are reasons that some Indigenous are more susceptible to alcoholism because of social conditions and perhaps even genetics. Until we start emphasizing the importance of personal responsibility and charting your own destiny instead of blaming or relying on others, the culture of dependence will persist. Yes there are things we can do to help Indigenous, but it’s not all about money, or rather, if it’s about money, that reinforces dependence. They’re complex issues that are ultimately for Indigenous to decide for real progress to endure. They won’t give up the Indian Act. Many want self-determination and continued government funding without taxation. Who doesn’t want to have their cake and eat it? It’s complicated. I figure, maintain current funding levels and let Indigenous decide how to proceed.1 point

"A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing." This is from your own link: https://health-infobase.canada.ca/covid-19/ That is from Dec 14 2020 up 'til Aug 28. 2020. The year Two Thousand Twenty. Not 2021. The number that you're talking about includes the first day that the vaccine came out. There were 38.01 million unvaccinated Canadians on that day and 0.00 vaxed Canadians. It was a full 4 months before there were even a handful of double-vaxed Canadians. Now ask yourself, if 99.5% of covid deaths in the first 4 months were unvaxed, during a flu season, how much of a lead did the unvaxed build up in that span of time? The number of double-vaxed didn't start out outnumber the unvaxed until July of 2021, and it wasn't even flu season by that time. The number of deaths in the summer is always far lower than it is from Dec through mid-April. So the unvaxed burst out to a roaring start in that stat, your chosen stat, somewhere in the range of several thousand to basically zero, now they're at less than 50%. The vaxed caught up fast, considering they've only experienced 1 flu season. If you don't believe that the tally started Dec 14 2020, then go to this spot on the page: Click the dropdown arrow beside where it says "Distribution" and select "Number". You'll see the chart on the far right switch to the number of deaths, and I think you'll agree that there weren't 4,830 Triple-vaxed deaths in the last 4 weeks. The stat that they're not showing you (are they hiding it?) is the number of deaths in each category in recent weeks. They've never shown it. i'll do you a solid eyeball - read this next part and try to understand it. The only vaccination number that matters is the % of people who are vaxed within the "covid death demographic". Do you follow? No one outside of that category is going to make a significant blip on the radar. Vaxing them all or leaving them all unvaxed just skews the stats. IE, if you vaccinate 100% of the people between 5-40, all that you'll end up doing is inflating the success rate of the vax. You could say "We vaxed 2 billion people worldwide between 5-40 and only 26 of them died. The vax is a smash hit!" If you leave them unvaxed then you don't want to count them in vax stats because - they're gonna do just fine either way, just like they did in 2020. Hence - the need for Pfizer to vax young 'uns. if you vaccinate 100% of the people over 70 and no one else, you'll still end up with the very vast majority of deaths among the vaxed. You'd have to admit that "We vaxed 500 million people worldwide and yet 90% of covid deaths occurred within that 5% of the population. The vax is a drastic failure." AGain, the solution is to vax youths. If you wanna interpret the stats in a slightly more meaningful manner, you'd look at the vax stats among the very elderly. About 97% of people over 80 have at least two 2 shots. That means that the 14% of deaths which come from the unvaxed primarily come from the 3% of oldies who are unvaxed. If you understand that it seems like those 3% are punching above their weight. BUT. And it's a big "BUT", like Lizzo-large, even the stat of "over 80" isn't that meaningful, because the ones that really matter are "over 80 with co-morbidities". Elderly people with co-morbidities account for 96% of covid deaths. How many people with co-morbidities that are over 80 said "f-it, I'm down to my last few months anyways"? 3%? 10%? 75%? It's weird that they'll tell us the stat about "deaths among the elderly with C-Ms" but they won't tell us the vax rate of elderly people who have serious health conditions. Funny how it's always the things that we wanna know that they won't tell us. One other thing to consider is that triple-jabbed people make up a surprisingly high % of the deaths. I'm guessing that's the group of people who are trying to stay at the peak of the vax curve because they're right in the peak target demo...? What do we know for sure? Tons of multi-vaxed are dying, and there is no good reason to pimp the vax on people under 40 because they don't need to be "saved" and vaxing them doesn't slow down the spread at all.1 point

If the State of Arizona paid the CyberNinjas, why isn’t this report hosted on a website of the State? Or even a website hosted by CyberNinjas? I did find the CyberNinja final report on the AZ Republicans website, which is still a little sketchy but it looks like the actual report. https://www.azsenaterepublicans.com/cyber-ninjas-report Here’s the report summary, quoted from the source: ”there were no substantial differences between the hand count of the ballots provided and the official election canvass results for Maricopa County. This is an important finding because the paper ballots are the best evidence of voter intent and there is no reliable evidence that the paper ballots were altered to any material degree.” So that’s their conclusion: Biden beat Trump in Arizona. As for the issues you mentioned, CyberNinjas listed how many of those votes were Trump and how many were Biden votes, and they were basically split down the middle, so they had no impact on the outcome.1 point

Provide a current example of systemic racism in Canada. The only examples I see are “racialized-only” job postings and EDI point systems that discredit white people on the basis of the colour of their skin. The problem is that if you try to go to the provincial human rights tribunal or even the courts, they are stacked with radical left ideologues who apply different standards of treatment to different people based on skin colour/race. It’s racist but white people deserve to be mistreated. It’s not about individual accountability anymore.1 point

Do you have eyes on you? Then look at the pictures below taken today, ESPECIALLY FOR YOU, and your ilk. Where do you see those old trees "renewed" ???? Some 20-40 years ago the old forest was logged, but mostly destroyed with much of the timber left to rot. The new growth, which is some 20 - 30 year old trees are now logged. If the area is replanted, the third growth will be smaller trees, and I doubt someone will give them even 20-30 years before those are destroyed. So , I do not care how old you are, how many years you have in the logging industry, where you came from and when. One thing I know for sure is, you have learned absolutely nothing in those years.1 point

I am unequivocally against fascism. That would mean I am against mobs just like Antifa which happen to behave exactly like fascists. Your assertion that the Antifa/BLM riots were mostly peaceful is pretty misleading when you consider the enormous amount of damages they they caused all over the country. BLM riot damages 'worst in history' totalling over $2 BILLION | The Post Millennial | thepostmillennial.com BLM's 'Mostly Peaceful' Riots Cost 1000x More in Damage Than Jan. 6 Capitol Unrest (westernjournal.com) I condemn the violence on Jan 6, but in that case most of them were actually acting peacefully. The one's that did riot have to pay the price. I still have yet to see any clip of Trump actually telling people to engage in violence. Telling the crowd to "throw the bum out" at one of his rallies is not an incitement to violence. This is more in the way of inciting violence:1 point

I respectfully disagree with the OP. We see evolution at work all the time. Germs evolve to survive antibiotics. We use an antibiotic to treat an infection. It kills 99.9% of the bacteria but 0.1% have a mutated genethat gives them an immunity to the antibiotic and they reproduce passing on that mutated gene, so the antibiotic loses effectiveness. That is evolution. My main disagreement is the idea that God choses favourites. Why would God favour humans over dogs, cats, bats and viruses. We are ALL God's creatures. All living organisms have a soul. There is no heirarchy of souls. The idea that humans are God's chosen creatures is akin to believing in war that God is on our side. In war, God is saddened at the behaviour of all sides. However, just because I disagree does not mean to say you are wrong and I am right.1 point
