but growing up on the Downtown Eastside of Toronto back in the day, it was the hood

so there were hoodlums, gangsters, junkies & crazy people everywhere on the street

you had to defend yourself, there was no other option

even the smallest thing could set it off

like one time I was walking with my beautiful girlfriend

and these two Latino type hoodlums started cat calling her

of course I felt like I had to white knight for her, telling them where to go

next thing I know, they are coming after us down the street, pulling knives

I'm actually a lover not a fighter by nature

but in a rough neighbourhood like that, you are forced to turn and stand your ground

I frequent a local pub. There's a very diverse range of people there. I hear a wide spectrum of political options. 

I think the death penalty should be an option to courts. But I don't discuss that in public unless asked. Even then I try to candy coat my reasoning. 

I will admit this...let's say an ANTIFA parade happened by my local. I might come down with an uncontrollable urge to spank as many as I could...but that's after a few brewskis...

Oh and...I doubt I'd be the only one with such an urge.

I looked back more than 15 pages and the only thing I said was WestConMan was a "one trick pony."  No name calling. I mean, he hurt my feeling when he called me a "poopyhead" but I never responded. 

I think that when someone gets proven wrong,  or not factual or misguided, they assume they are being called names.

But generally, I will respond in kind.

See what I mean? I call you out. I ask you, like I ask everyone, to prove themselves and you just come back with unsubstantiated accusations.

Sometimes (often) the message is the messenger and vice versa.

What is simple is that some of you do not like to be challenged and that pisses you off and away you go with accusations.
