The problem with what’s unfolding is that unconstitutional laws imposed by a tyrannical government supported by a combined multi-force police apparatus, empowered by emergency powers, make opposition futile.  The opposition is essentially illegal.  Dissent is effectively criminalized.  Yes we’ve seen this before but never on this scale in Canada.  The Métis weren’t  fighting digital vaccine passports in the Riel Rebellion.  William Lyon Mackenzie didn’t have a police state to contend with during the Upper Canada Rebellion.  This is very much a battle for freedom itself, an ideological battle, even a spiritual battle.  Canada is the scene of the first international battleground of the cultural civil war.  It’s basically the Republican Party versus digital totalitarianism/totalitarian capitalism/surveillance capitalism.   Canada is a lot closer to America than Hong Kong, however.   The Americans should be worried because constitutional democracy is literally being high jacked on their doorstep.  Trudeau is Biden ideologically.  The US Supreme Court has mitigated vaccine mandates in the US somewhat, but the US has them.  The Biden administration  has imposed them on the truckers in keeping with Trudeau, who led on this.  Trudeau is leading this new left-wing totalitarianism.  Biden better figure it out. I know some on the US left are figuring it out.  Beri Weiss, Bill Maher, etc.

The trucks needed to leave as they were parked illegally.  But now riot police are using the emergencies act to get rid of peaceful pedestrian protestors too.  That's wrong and unconstitutional.

Using horses to trample peaceful protestors is disgraceful.
