USAToday: Investigators with the Federal Bureau of Investigations raided an elections facility in Atlanta Wednesday in a supposed search for materials related to the 2020 election. Remember this from last week? Politico: President Donald Trump on Wednesday said individuals will soon be prosecuted for their role in what he called the “rigged 2020 election,” continuing his fixation on an election he lost. He was foreshadowing this week's raid. What I find very interesting is that the head of DNI was there. Does that indicate a foreign slant? In any case, this all follows an admission by Georgia's elections that they had no signatures on a ton of votes: Atlanta First: Fulton County admits to verifying 315,000 votes in 2020 without poll worker signatures That is important because those tapes (which are receipts for what the machine recorded) are supposed to be signed by the local election official AND observed by two witnesses. There was no signature by any of the 3 people. So where did the tapes come from? The end result will be nothing will change. However, if there was some improper action, maybe we can get some convictions.2 points

This has nothing to do with the question at hand. No one says they can’t try to separate. Are they committing treason by getting a foreign government to help them? did they get help from a foreign power? But as I recall vividly, yes, they were labelled as traitorous, even if it wasn’t in the legal sense.2 points

More like nuances. It could all be kept on the same thread.2 points

That's incorrect. We have always had deportations, often at higher volumes, and there were never protestors in the streets. We have never had masked goon squads abducting and beating people in the street. And now there are protesters in the streets as a result. The means have changed. The means are the problem. The protests are a reaction to the means. You people sound like idlots when you pretend that protestors are in the streets to protect pedophiles. No one can take you seriously with that bullshit.2 points

Everybody knew Biden's win was suspicious as f*ck. Trump just didn't have time to prove it.2 points

It's not. The truth would have come out by now, but regardless... anyone cheering this on is in the cult and facts only care about their feelings for them. So I'll just give my opinion to save Time: Trump lost, his incompetence is being reflected in the polls, only his die-hard cult continues to defend him.2 points

They're proving that the 2020 election was indeed fraudulent. Is that not important to you? Rather sweep it under the rug, eh? I mean...it's only fraud in a presidential election. No biggie...right?2 points

Alex Pretti thought he could pack heat and push ICE around. Alex Pretti thought wrong.2 points

Everybody heard the tape of Trump trying to interfere with the elections and the public statements of the Republican governor. Trying to rewrite the past to make Trump the hero isn't going to reverse the terrible direction America is taking. My advice to his team is to do a coup now since their politics is turning out to be even worse than their ability to manage...2 points

We could pick them up in jail. But, instead.of holding the child rapists, murderers and wife beaters for ICE, democrats let them go and force ICE to go into the community to grab them. Then, the useful idìots go out and disrupt those actions until they go to far and end up getting hurt. Then the other useful idìots blame ICE and anyone that points out the truth.2 points

All along I've thought you people were just brazenly dishonest with these bullshit arguments that wouldn't fool a child. Alternatively, it could be that you're just too dense to understand that there is a difference between means and end. Huddle up and let us know.2 points

No I mean politicians, governors and such of Minnesota. Meanwhile undocumented workers are the largest group of immigrant farmworkers in Minnesota. More than half the cows in Minnesota are milked by undocumented immigrants. Canada's dairy milk industry apparently has few if any illegal workers at all.1 point

Or that the belief in pulling it together is still growing by leaps and bounds. In any case Carney should've invited Minnesota's premier to the meeting he's having with the other premiers. Minnesotans have expressed an interest in joining Canada before.1 point

Yah, nobody gives a shit. We've heard these cries of wolf for decades. We don't care any more. You people are just lazy, uneducated and incapable of legitimate discourse. We adults have work to do. So go smoke your bong and play some culturally appropriate, nonmesogynistic, ethically sourced DND. Oh, and go fùck yourself (after you've signed an agreement of sexual consent and filed it with the local sexual consent registry).1 point

Do you need someone to explain the differences to you? Some thread OPs are so important they need their own thread to avoid getting lost.1 point

You've got it skewed. This is how it is in a nutshell: Liberalism pushes advancement. Progressivism pushes advancement too far. Conservatism smacks the shit out of progressivism and keeps the country intact.1 point

There is when the anti-fascists are actually terrorists in disguise and support fascism which is the case with you. That's why antifa was ruled to be a terrorist organization1 point

Iranians are done with any f*cking religious leader or religion. They want a secular government. A majority of Iranians hate it. Why do you think over 500 mosques were set on fire in 48 hours.1 point

Your implication was that finding ballots was cheating. Now you admit that the act of finding wasn't cheating. So what exactly was the cheating? If someone did cheat, shouldn't we know? If there was a foreign actor, shouldn't we know? How? The evidence was suppressed.1 point

Carney hasn’t “slandered Trump”. That’s the definition of gaslighting. Trump called Carney governor the other day. Stop applying double standards wherein the bigger and more powerful get to treat the less powerful like shit and the less powerful should be grateful for whatever they have. Most people outside the U.S. aren’t going to embrace that arrangement. Though it’s easier and has benefited both the U.S. and Canada to trade more with each other than other countries, if the price of maintaining that trade is abuse, we’ll pay the additional freight to ship farther afield. At a certain point in a dysfunctional marriage, it’s simply more worthwhile to leave the abuser and give up the financial comforts. Eventually people do find new partners or settle into a more independent lifestyle. Canadians can travel and buy goods elsewhere. They can find new places to sell goods. Business may not be as good but there’s something to be said for no longer being dependent on an abuser. I’m being a bit dramatic here to make a point. I don’t think the majority of Americans want the U.S. to coerce or threaten to take over other countries. I think most Americans want a mutually beneficial relationship with Canada. Trump is one guy. He’s got many followers, but my guess is that they’re not going to be the dominant political force too much longer. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t prepare ourselves and have our Plan B ready to go. The trick for Canada right now is to do all the things to make ourselves less vulnerable to economic and military coercion but focus first on the projects that benefit us economically whether or not our trade volumes with the U.S. significantly shift. I think that’s what’s happening generally. The U.S. had a legitimate beef with us on NATO contributions, so those contributions are increasing. As you know, all of these procurements take time, and we have to be more careful to make sure we’re not dependent on suppliers who can pull the plug on our armaments if their country of origin doesn’t like our policies or decides we’re on the menu.1 point

We've been told the same thing about getting rid of DST for even longer. Something that would even save lives apparently. Maybe if our kids ever figure out the formula for getting rid of DST they can apply it to trade barriers.1 point

Not on the day he was shot...as I clearly stated. He could and perhaps should have been arrested on that day which may have resulted in his losing his gun license. Tell me, what do you think of his behavior in the above video? Peaceful? Too aggressive? Not aggressive enough?1 point

So CDN Teslas will once again come from China and another will be Volvos made in China that start at only $77,500. Is Dougie suggesting we should boycott Tesla and Volvo to save our workers? Did he forget about VinFast from VietNam that came and went already and took a whole dozen or so car sales away from GM, Ford and Stellantis? Were they an existential threat? No one noticed all the Hyundais, Kias, Mitsubishi Outlanders on the street outside that aren't built here either? Should we tariff them an extra 100% if The Donald decides he doesn't like them some day? US 100% tariffs on Chinese EVs didn't stop Chevy from shutting down Bolt production and cutting 900 American jobs.1 point

Because the federal and provincial (Ontario) gives billions of dollars MORE to the auto industry than any other industries across Canada. They act as if that is the only industry that matters. WE are being screwed big time. They also committed billions of dollars to planned EV plants in Canada. Why so much money to these industries and not the rest of industries across Canada? These auto industry workers make huge incomes and their executives salaries and bonuses are up around 12 million dollars per year. That is outrageous. Yet the liberal governments and provincial governments have been delaying approvals for mines for years. They have hampered the oil industry with all their regulations and taxes and tanker ban. Obviously they are favouring the auto industry in central Canada at the expense of the rest of the country. Nobody buys only Canadian for the sake of supporting jobs in Canada. That claim is pure fiction. They buy because of the price or necessity. As far as trade with China, we have been trading with China for decades. They are our second largest trading partner even though it is only a few percent of our international trade. Almost all of our trade has been with the U.S. but the U.S. is turning its back on us under Trump. We have no choice. We must trade with China and other countries in Asia and the rest of the world in order to survive and protect our living standards. We cannot survive under the U.S. attacks on Canada. So Canada must diversity and we cannot depend on the U.S. anymore. Premier Ford is out to lunch and doesn't understand how trade and the country works.1 point
