  1. It’s good news for Canada that Trump’s ego once again got the better of him and he revoked his invitation to Canada to join the so-called “Board of Peace”, which contains invaders and is described by Trump as “being able to do whatever it likes.” Europe, the UK, and other countries should stay out of yet another tool of coercion by integration. I think they may have finally figured out the game and how they’ve been played. It took us a while too. Being disinvited means we can’t be blamed for not participating.

  4. You clowns will go to any absurd length to justify illegal immigration. You are butchering the definiiton of "immigration" here as those people did not migrate to Canada to live there. It was a temporary displacement. If I stop by your home for the weekend becaue you have power and mine doesn't in an ice storm, I am not a resident of your home now nor did I intend to move in and go down to the DMV to change the address on my license.

  6. There's some wisdom in that I think, it's exactly how you got to where you are today and now you don't like it. The worst part of all this was the predictability, the fact that you were repeatedly warned about the destination, warned that a backlash was inevitable and warned that when it occurred.... you wouldn't like it. POOF, here we are. IMO, the same thing is coming to some European countries in the near future, not quite there yet but it's coming. So, when I ask "what did you think was going to happen" it isn't rhetorical and it's not the result of being opposed to immigration.... it's purely about being opposed to bat shi% craziness. Speaking personally now, why do you suppose that I (and any number of ex liberal voters) were fundamentally opposed to bat shi$ crazy immigration abuses in the US? It's because your actions were predictable; It's because we could see where those actions would take us and we didn't want to travel to Crazy Island with you; It's because the end result (in terms of growing opposition and animosity) was predictable; It's because the backlash that animosity created was predictable; and especially It's because that backlash (not if but when it came) would hurt a lot of people. But take heart.. that confusion can only linger in the continued presence of bat shi% craziness. Extremes always result in equal and opposite extremes and the law of the see-saw always raises the (bat shi%) bar incrementally in equal and opposite measure. Put on a blue hat and go see the word, circumstances are always different but the principle remains. On a smaller scale, watch the escalation dynamic in the parking lot after closing time. Watch how it turns into something affectionately labeled "the monkey dance." Maybe it's part of the human condition... I don't know the answer but It always comes with consequences and it always begs the same question. WTF did you think was going to happen? The better question, the one you should have asked yourself at the get go is "do you really want what you seem to be asking for?"

  9. US gets a deal in Greenland It looks like Trump gets his deal in Greenland who would have known....I wonder what happens now...to all his doubters....to all the rhetoric of collapse of NATO, of European countries stationing troops on Greenland...sorry had to laugh there for a second as Canada volunteered 16 air force personal , Yes our highly trained Air force people will be wondering around in Greenland , doing what nobody knows, it's a secret ...Last time our Air force was in the artic, one of them got lost on the tarmac...Yes i said tarmac....a massive search was conducted and this guy was found...now to his credit it was very foggy....and he kept warm just walking in circles... Anyways Kudo's to the Airforce for stepping up, while the rest of the military is busy....I guess they will be stood down as the US got it's deal....whew that was close , the Air force almost had another mission....and it was not a 5 star hotel.... Back to Greenland looks like the US will be able to put on many more bases on Greenland, including the iron dome...Trump also got a deal on critical minerals, and many other things they were looking for....

  10. Actually the majority of Canadians view Immigration the same way, not sure how you seem to think, that this is some how bad... One good speech does not make him king of the free world....nor does it benefit Canada in any way...How many are lined up to sign new trade agreements with us... This is what the left expects poking the bear, knowing full well that the bear does not take kindly to the poking.....and when the bear reacts the LEFT stand up beating their chest screaming we need to do something....this is terrible. If you look at our economy, tell me we are not dependent on the US for almost everything...Knowing that why do you and others consider poking the bear.... We as a nation thrive because of the US and the US markets, don't kid yourselves the US could cripple Canada at any time both economically and through force...knowing that should at least give us pause before making great speeches.... Trump does not need to be held in high regard, regardless of what others think of him , people listen when he speaks....Yes kudo's from around the world, try surviving on just kudos , how may of these nations will step up and help Canada if the US cuts trade with us....then we will see what kudo's is worth....

  11. You mean the law. The law that we all agreed upon through representatives we elected. The law we all abide by...until the left got TDS so bad they de ided it was more important to break the law than allow Trump to enforce it. If that were true, then your outrage would be hypocritical. Good news. You are not a hypocrite on this. Obama did not deport that many people. Most of those people were part of the hoards that were turned back at the border. Since we don't have illegals at the border at that same scale, the turnbacks are smaller. However, 2.2 million people have self deported and well over 100,000 more have been nabbed and shipped. This time next year, even Obama's inflated deportations will Peanuts in comparison. And you will still have TDS. I absolutely love everything we are doing.

  13. More than fights between drunks, there are some obvious (at least to me) legal questions here that went unasked and unanswered in the article. Deliberately carrying a knife, a can of soup in a plastic bag, or a bottle from the bar as a defensive "weapon" is illegal in Canada in and of itself and it's based on intent. In short, it's a weapon if you use it as a weapon. There needs to be a "story" attached to the possession of it. The soup was my lunch. The knife was in my pocket because i was doing carpentry work an hour ago. My girlfriend collects micro brewery bottles. The details (as a function of law) are important.... they seem to be missing in the article and as always, I wonder why the press never asks the questions reasonable people would ask if they were in a position to ask reasonable questions. It's part of a slow legal and policing failure... assuming you subscribe to the existing laws as written because you can't have it both ways. Create a situation (systemically) where people feel the legitimate need to carry defensive weapons and people will carry defensive weapons because they have to... and precedent will support the legitimacy of them doing so over time. Sounds like we're making a choice here, and if so, believe me when I say that I'm all for having the legal right to carry a defensive weapon. That's not a common sentiment IMO but it seems like that's where we're going. It's a choice, and precedent is part of what legally validates those choices over time. Like it or not (and IMO of course) we're making choices here.

  16. Inflation creeping up. Unemployment rising. Job creation soft. Deficit and debt exploding. Foreclosures soaring. Personal debt soaring. Do you really think those metrics reflect healthy fundamentals? Do you really think Trump is somehow driving GDP independent of those metrics? Of course not. GDP is being driven by the AI boom--a boom which is likely a bubble, and if it's not a bubble will be disastrous for unemployment. Trump wants to take credit for it, and you're clearly eager to give it, but that simply does not match reality. The growth is incredibly siloed and not distributed across the economy. That's why you see everything else soft. Without data centers, GDP growth was 0.1% in the first half of 2025, Harvard economist says U.S. GDP growth in the first half of 2025 was almost entirely driven by investment in data centers and information processing technology, according to Harvard economist Jason Furman. Excluding these technology-related categories, Furman calculated in a Sept. 27 post on X.com GDP growth would have been just 0.1% on an annualized basis, a near standstill that underlines the increasingly pivotal role of high-tech infrastructure in shaping macroeconomic outcomes. Different analyses may produce different numbers, but the underlying theme is consistent: GDP is being propped up by a very narrow vertical. Trump is trying to flood the economy with "rebate" checks while running record deficits, as he did in his first term. And worse, he's trying to seize political control of monetary policy to artificially stimulate the economy. He left the economy in a ditch at the end of his first term, and he's very likely to leave us in a much deeper, longer ditch this term. There is every reason to expect another Great Recession.

  18. Considering I've listed multiple times the various ways it already is extracted, this is a pretty goofy thing to say. Let me re-iterate: We don't have any he-3 "deposits" that can be mined on earth as you and your OP proposed. What little extracting and refining we can do terrestrially amounts to tens of kilograms a year. That's why the US government and NASA etc are funding research to harvest it from the moon - because we don't have enough here. If you want to actually engage with above paragraph and stop pretending that I'm saying things I'm not, let's do that, but right now it appears that you're just playing dumb.

  19. FYI no neighbourhoods are being "terrorized". Can you describe for me where you see "terror"? Do you understand that a central theme of this whole alleged "terror" issue is that: in sanctuary cities, illegals with dangerous criminal histories are let out of city jails without informing ICE that's not just "comforting for those criminals and their families", it's an international advertisement that illegally entering the US to live there is A-OK then, instead of ICE just showing up in between coffee breaks to take someone out of a jail cell, while they are alone and unarmed, ICE has to track them down in the community, which means that sometimes they show up at kids' schools sometimes they have to arrest them in their homes, where they may be armed and there may be innocent women and children present, and that means "scary raid" so, the "terror" that you are talking about is often a symptom of the bad Dem policy of releasing criminals back into the community, which is a common theme. I know that your job as a left4rd is to ignore unwanted information, and I can predict with 100% accuracy what your reply will look like: you'll ignore the points for which you have no defense you will throw down some kind of strawman argument, and pretend to be a pure heart for caring about it you will play the angry SJW card and yell about some imaginary condition you make some unsubstantiated allegations and throw down some sandbox insults you will pretend that ICE agents pose more of a threat to the community at large than rapists, pedophiles, drug dealers and murderers, Did I miss anything, CrakHo? Do you have another trick up your sleeve today, or are you gonna go with the same old "tired and untrue" debate tactics?

I know China’s industrial policies are a problem but shutting their product out completely doesn’t sound prudent. We need to compete with them in EV technology. It is coming to the world whether we want to deny that fact or not. Let’s not be Luddites here.

  28. Obviously it takes time to find buyers for canola or anything. If buyers could have been found, it would have already been done, but it wasn't. No, 3% is very little, insignificant. quote For the average of the three years, 2020/21-2022/23: The total economic impact on the Canadian economy from the canola sector averaged C$43.7 billion per year. 206,000 full time equivalent jobs are supported by the canola sector, comprising almost 142,000 paid jobs and an additional 65,000 family members (beyond the growers themselves) who support and are supported by canola farming operations. The total wage impact of the sector averaged C$16.3 billion. unquote Canola’s economic impact: growing opportunity for all Canadians

Under the agreement reached between Canada and China, tariffs on Canadian canola seed imports are expected to be reduced to 15% as of March 1, 2026, and the current 100% tariffs on canola meal are expected to be removed as of March 1, 2026, until at least the end of the calendar year. unquote Canola industry welcomes significant progress on Chinese tariffs | Canola Council of Canada

  30. Simple. It was the only way Carney could get China to drop the huge tariff of 100% on canola and some other things. You always have to give something to get something in a trade deal. 49,000 EVs is insignificant. It was good deal for Canada.

  37. The Art of the Deal:CBS Greenland will stay sovereign. The US gets to build up military support. The left still does not get it. Trump goes in hard, acts like a bull in a China shop and then gets the deal done on the terms he actually wanted. He never wanted to own Greenland. He just wanted to have a military base so that Russia and China would not. Look, Russia and China would never invade North America proper. They aren't capable. But they would invade Greenland. It would be easy to take and it would be a huge strategic advantage that they could use as a negotiating chip. Trump just put that chip in his pocket. It's gone. Once our base is up and running, Greenland will be secure.

  40. Not sure what all the fuss is about regarding this speech. Carney takes some thinly veiled jabs at Trump and the US and of course most people love that. Brian Lilley of The Sun makes a great point about that aspect of Carney's speech. "Much of his speech was about the great power rivalry that is happening between the US, China and Russia. The problem is that he was highly critical in the Americans walking away from the international rules-based order while not acknowledging that China and Russia walked away from it years if not decades ago." And now, Mark Carney is cozying up up to China, which of course gets a pass when it comes to it's dismal human rights record.

  41. The Prime Minister’s polished Davos speech wasn’t a call to truth — it was a sermon in deception, repackaging contradictions as a global vision. I listened with genuine interest to Prime Minister Carney’s speech at Davos. It was, by any technical measure, one of his better performances. Polished, confident, impeccably delivered. If one were unfamiliar with the actual state of affairs, if one were blissfully ignorant of the realities beneath what he calls the “rupture” in international relations, the speech might have appeared a beacon of hope in dark times. And therein lies the problem. One must either be ignorant of the facts or willing to live a lie. 42. You don’t make the obvious connection between Canada’s cultural roots and our birth rates. Okay I’ll spell it out for you. If the Liberals and federal government keep pushing the kinds of lifestyles celebrated in Canada’s current cultural export, Heated Rivalry, and if we continue to promote trees that bare no fruit, MAID, abortion, and birth control, the only way Canada persists is through mass immigration. Most of those immigrants are Muslim or come from totalitarian China. Where does that leave Canada’s culture and way of life? Trump understands that basic fact. Christianity has served Western culture, even if you think it’s a cultural myth. Our progressivism is literally killing us through MAID, hard drugs, and lifestyle choices that are sinking our fertility and birth rates. Understanding this doesn’t make people southern Bible thumpers. Canada is currently the self-righteous snob ridiculing the traditions that made Canada strong. The result is we’re now in a precarious position. Soft power indeed.
