Not surprising though unfortunately. TDS is driving people insane. They hate with every bone in their bodies. They'll do anything to show it. And man is this judge ugly! Why do all the butt-ugly women wind up Libbies?2 points

Stop trying to make the debate into something that it isn't, just so that you can be partly right you worthless little scumbag. This isn't about whether or not there are males, females, plus people with birth defects, genetic deformities and whatnot. And it's not about what people with deformities can/can't/should/shouldn't do. Those people have a hard road and actually need help. It's about whether or not teachers and guidance counsellors should be telling healthy boys and girls that they can choose to become the opposite sex, when all they can do is mutilate their bodies and end up permanently trapped between sexes, and unable to ever procreate. Leftards are even trying to convince other adults that "men can get pregnant", and they simply cannot. If they think that they can get away with saying that BS to adults, what are they telling kids? You don't effing know, do you... Not only that, why are they trying to prevent the parents from being part of the conversation with the little kids? Parents are the decision-makers for their children, period. Not teachers. Fools rush in where angels fear to tread.2 points

Watch as Jasmine "Smollett" Crocket claims she became a lawyer because she was victim of a hate crime...no wait...TWO hate crimes and so where her friends...yeah, her friends...like all of them. You don't even need to watch the juxtaposed video to see the bìtch is lying. Watch her body language and her eyes. Classic "I'm making shit up" body language.1 point

I'm not conflating them, I'm simply pointing out that you're taking the bait anyway. I have no doubt some people would like to amend the Charter of Rights and Freedoms so it can do that but it's not happening and won't. Nor will it be used to protect snowflakes from feeling icky. You're having an issue with ghosts. There are so few cases of what you're talking about, more than might stem from the 1 % or so some trans activists for sure, but no where near the millions one gets the sense is the case from listening to you people. The real fad is blowing things out of proportion - the sign of the time.1 point

If Trump came to Canada and ran for the LPOC, with Satan as his pick for Deputy PM, he'd still get their votes. The trade war would be forgiven.1 point

You’re a big Trump person, no? Where has this love of the truth been all this time?1 point
-
This wouldn’t be like Trump or Brexit where there was a neck and neck race and the polled lead went back and forth. The polls have consistently predicted a Liberal win. If they get this wrong I’ll lose faith in them, which is not to say there’s something nefarious going on here. I believe that, like scientists, pollsters want to be right above all things but they’ve had a problem with polling right-wing voters for at least a decade now. They seem harder to reach and more reluctant to give their candid opinion.1 point

Sure. The law makes mistakes, that's why due process exists.1 point

The US constitution doesn't specify that due process is only set aside for citizens. But you bring up a good point. The narrative that non-citizens can be shipped off to a gulag without due process is an excellent reason to stay away from the United States. Which is a big reason why their tourism sector is tanking.1 point

Interesting. People now know that the carney is a liar and a thief. Regardless of the polls. Get out and vote conservative or have the carney sell Canada out.1 point

I don't know how old you are, but an early lesson in politics is to learn that politicians lie.1 point

Conservatives don't run in lock-step like leftists. You'll almost always see Dems or Libs vote 100% as a bloc, and you'll almost never see conservatives do that. The wrong Ford brother died. The one that smoked the crack was actually the better one.1 point

Another Globe story about another rift with a PC premier. There are a lot of allegations in here, some featuring Jenni Byrne. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/article-poilievres-nova-scotia-campaign-stop-highlights-growing-rift-between/1 point

From listening to conservatives around here. I figure a good solid third to half of Poilievre's most solid supporters are hard boiled enough to count as pure MAGA chuds. About half the rest of conservatives support whoever supports them so... Back of the napkin calculation for sure but plenty close enough. Some thing's do need to be said but it probably is mostly a troll because you people always feel icky about this stuff. I think it's mostly a fad myself and that the more overt activism around the issue has as much to do with throwing right wing grievances back in your stupid faces as anything and boy o boy you guys just never fail to fall for it. AFAIC virtually everything that trans folks require from society is contained in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. It has virtually everything the government needs to protect people from discrimination. I suppose it stands to reason that's why so many Canadian conservatives feel icky about the Charter too.1 point

Faced with Carney, Poilievre had the potential win of Diefenbaker in 1958, Mulroney in 1984. Carney was a WEF bureaucrat. An easy target. All Poilievre had to do is wave the flag. Stop talking about taxes. Unbelievable own goal.1 point

If the Tories win then a lot of pollsters need to hang up their boots or fundamentally change their methodology. Although it is a fairly close election, they’ve been generally forecasting a Liberal win all through it.1 point

Yeah, no. If you start reading into the housing accommodations being provided, you start to see that it includes run-down housing, mold, damp conditions, insect infestations, animals... You can't just presume that sleeping on a bench in a lovely year-round weather California coastal community is worse than living in some moldy hell hole of a house.1 point

I understand exactly what the order meant. It means that for lack of alternative, the person is legally allowed to remain and work in the US indefinitely. That IS his legal status. Such a person is not hiding. They are checking in with a case manager the same way a parolee does. They get jobs. They pay taxes. They have families. All done legally. Above board. He wasn't a fugitive. He was living and behaving legally, remaining here with the full knowledge of the legal system. That is the goddamn status he was granted. The Trump administration broke the law by unlawfully renditioning him to El Salvador. A district judge said it was unlawful and ordered his return. The farking SCOTUS said that it was unlawful and that the administration had to facilitate his return--unanimously, 9-0. And you're in here pretending that it wasn't illegal because the cult must over the Orange Overlord in all things. It's embarrassing.1 point

I was shocked that CBC broke the news, but not shocked that they waited until 1 month to do so, and only after 7M Canadians had already voted. I'm thinking that someone was leaking this somewhere, so CBC wanted to get out ahead of it.1 point

I know some people are slaves to fashion. I have never been. When raising my kids in the 2000's, neither of them were really "into" any certain brand nor did they "have to" own certain items. I have my own sense of style so I love thrift shops and vintage stores. That said, I will occasionally buy an expensive piece, but they are generally timeless styles. I once spent over $200 on a dress suit and I'm still wearing the pieces 25 years later, but in different ways. A couple years ago, I found a jacket I loved - it was almost $300 and I pair it with a tank top from the dollar store. I like when people ask me where I got something I'm wearing and I can say I paid $3 for it at a thrift store or $15 at a vintage shop.1 point
