Got kids? Want them to grow up with micro-plastics in their blood and brain? Or maybe you just don't give a shit about anything except scoring a few political points. This is beyond short sighted politics.4 points

After watching the debate, I decided I'm going to vote Liberal after all. Because I want higher taxes, more dangerous streets, more fentanyl junkies outside schools and immigration that outpaces our economic, healthcare and housing infrastructure - especially if it means it will change the weather. I love the idea of not being able to afford my home and moving into a 350 sf modular home with 5000 immediate neighbours. I don't mind giving up my free speech and having gov't -paid-for media controlling all the info I get. I think it's great that the CCP is almost completely running our country politically and economically and think they should just be allowed to go all the way. They know how to best to run a society. I'm moving my car keys and big screen to by the front door, where they should be. Daily hate marches in our streets is exactly why we need more diversity. I want more of that, too. The food bank and unemployment lineups aren't big enough yet, and Liberals are the experts we need to see it through to the end. I hope they bring back masks and mandatory medical procedures. Is burning Teslas still on the menu? That sounds like hella fun.2 points

I can't believe this id*ot wants to go backward on one of the worst environmental problems. We should be banning more plastics, like individually wrapped cheese slices. We're already finding micro-plastics in food and wildlife. What a troglodyte!!!1 point

Not sure what post that our health care system came up in , but here is a survey that places our nation at the very bottom of the list of 20 other western nations...Our health care system has been saying it is in crises mode for many years now, and still canadians believe that old myth that our healthcare system is one of the worlds best....Not the case....for the amount we spend on our health care we are getting very little in return. Opinion: Canada comes second last out of 20 countries in new health-care ranking1 point

It would not have mattered who was leading the CPC in this election. This would have been their line of attack. Don't look at the last ten years. Don't look at SNC Lavalin, WE Charity, Arrivescam, Aga Khan, etc. Trump Trump Trump.1 point

It’s become obvious since Trudeau’s government made land acknowledgments and shaming the country over false claims of mass graves at Residential Schools the norm, Canada can no longer develop resources or prevent a hemorrhaging of tax dollars towards groups that the government has designated as victims. Discriminatory racialized-only job postings are normalized in Canada. Constant pressure is being exerted on the government by activist groups that are funded by taxpayers to give tax revenue to those who don’t pay taxes and benefit from special status. My guess is that Canadians are powerless to stop this unsustainable and discriminatory mess due to our weak Constitution, politicized state-funded media, and Liberal-appointed judges. If not even the Conservatives can reverse this (not that the Conservatives can win anymore in Canada due to a highly indoctrinated public), then it’s inevitable that younger people with brains who want a better life will start pushing for Canada to join the U.S. in greater numbers. Canada has to be able to create wealth for its citizens. Over-regulation and endless consultation make it too costly to build pipelines, refineries, high speed rail, homes, the list goes on. Government bureaucracy has grown 40% under the Liberals. Canadians now earn 33% less than Americans. If the Liberals are re-elected, I’m not sure young people will have any interest in propping up the self-serving federal government several years from now. It wrings money from the public and can’t even do justice to federal responsibilities like defence.1 point

Did you not get the overall Tory message that they want to end or reverse every f*cking environmental regulation. Because as you're supposed to believe that the extra 5¢ and hour you'll get from companies being freed of them will be worth living your life neck deep in shit and industrial waste. Progress bad, going backwards good.1 point

Green Party dropped from leaders' debates for not running enough candidates | CBC News Leaders' Debates Commission says party's decision to remove candidates for strategic reasons led to the move What a load of crap this is. Yes, they are dropping candidates in a number of areas in order to help the liberals win But even still they are still running more candidates than the block is. This was obviously a decision strictly to help the liberals solidify the left vote and make sure there were no distracting voices. They still need all the criteria I hope Elizabeth May realizes that the destruction of her party when they become utterly irrelevant might very well be the price they pay to buy carney his chance to rape Canada1 point

Personally, I think that what you really need is a good slap in that liberal head of yours, stink bug. I bet that you cannot even tell me as to what Canadian patriot conservative King really did that caused him to get arrested in the first place. I know what he did wrong. Canadian Patriot conservative King pizzed off the Marxist dictator in Ottawa. And what i fear the most is that this will be just the beginning of what will be in store for conservatives in Canada if the new WEF Marxist globalist Corney wins the election, even with a minority. The liberals will end up with another majority because the NDP, the Block, and the greenies will back him up. It will always be one conservative party against four other Marxist political party's in Canada. Four to one are not great odds to try and win an election in Canada. But this is Canada, don't you know. 😏1 point

thought Blanchett hit the nail on the head. Chill out because Trump will be long since gone before any new pipelines even get started I like what Poilievre said in the French Debate about his plan for nuclear power generation and especially that scientists would tell the government how to run things. I thought that was pretty bold in the wake of COVID and in the face of so many supporters who fear and loath science and think their common sense should rule. In any case, I'm sticking with our NDP incumbent and hoping for another minority government where the NDP holds the balance of power. The last thing Canada needs is a two party system like America's. Further to that minority governments are the closest thing we have to proportional representation so I'll take it every time.1 point

the debates were mostly boring tbh carney should cruise to a large minority or small majority win on the 28th i suppose. I will be voting ndp anyway for the 2nd straight election1 point

How the F do you know what Carney intends to do about the ban on single-use plastics? His words are the exact opposite of the truth a lot of the time. If you're just going by Carney's words, you're an id10t. Stop trying to pretend that you're saving the world by electing another LPOC dirtbag. Single-use plastics is not an election issue. It's a minor consideration. What changes does PP actually intent to make to the single-use plastics ban? Be honest.1 point

The Canadian public don’t seem to understand that more can be done to reduce global emissions and make the world more secure from China and Putin by shipping liquefied natural gas to Europe and India than any carbon taxes or regulations on our oil and gas sector. Trudeau ignored that fact and turned away Germany when they were looking for an energy alternative to Russia. Poilievre understands and said all this in the debates, but the media keeps touting Carney as the winner. Why? Because the Liberals fund our mainstream media and try to silence opposition. What chance does Canada have to be independent and strong without a free press and when our energy sector is hobbled by regulation and taxes? How can we build our military and raise living standards when the cost of doing business is so high and so much money is taken from people and businesses to prop up our bloated overbearing federal government and its creepy identity politics?1 point

Tell me you have poor reading comprehension without telling me you have poor reading comprehension? The question is not whether someone supports assassination or not. The question is whether someone perceives that someone would be justified in taking such an action. And the answers are necessarily on a spectrum. Which is actually reflected in the survey, though not in your ham-handed headline. Whether it's a political leader, an oligarch or a CEO or anyone else in a position of power, the more they harm common people who have little recourse, the higher that support will get. In a functioning democracy with the rule of law, we vote out the bad actors. Or we stop buying their products. Or whatever. -- But when those bad actors increasingly disempower people and ignore the rule of law, then an increasing number of people will sympathize extra-legal remedies. It's pretty simple.1 point

This is not a great survey, and an even worse presentation of it on this forum, but beyond that it really misses the point. This isn't an indictment of "the left," but a sign of how bad things are getting in this country. The closer we are dragged toward dictatorship the higher that number will go. That's simply what happens when dictators disempower the people. The backlash is revolt. Let Trump keep talking about a third term and ignoring the judicial branch and watch those numbers climb. Americans (well, those of us with some dignity) will be governed, but we're not interested in being ruled.1 point

You know that was our own government doing that to our own people during the pandemic, right? While you cheered for it? Leftists also cheered for mobs of angry losers to destroy cities and assault people. You don't think that BLM mobs were scary? Now the libs want to bring in the "online harms act" so that every butthurt leftist loser can cry to the government every time someone tells them the truth. You're such an angry propaganda victim that I know you'd cheer for brownshirts to go around beating people up for telling hurtful truths. "He said BSL4 lab! Lock him up and beat him!" "He said laptop! Lock him up and beat him!" "He protested against the God vaccine! Lock him up and beat him!" "He said that Carney lied! Lock him up and beat him!" "He got my pronouns wrong, then he said the word "mother"! Lock him up and beat him!" "They're all fascists, lock them up and beat them!"1 point

Carney is a technocrat. From Singh or even Blanchet, I was expecting a Mulroney-style response: "You don't speak for Canada!" A huge loss for Poilievre. As Mulroney once said: "You could have refused.... " ====== You fish where there are fish.1 point

This is the essence of small government. This is the heart of local politics. When I voted for Trump i was 1 of 152 million. When I voted for Abbott I was 1 of 8 million. When I voted for my Texas rep, I was one of 50,000. When I voted for myor of my town, I was 1 of 609. You have the most freedom and the biggest say in the smallest elections. I can go talk to my mayor and he will listen. That's how I got our little league baseball field fixed. Smaller is better for you. You have a bigger voice. With no department of education, you can go to the school board and tell them you want better online learning tools or better lunches or higher paid teachers and they can do something about it. As it stands right now, there are so many strings attached that these school boards can't change where the money goes. Our school had $1.35 million from the state and federal government for grass. They don't even have enough grass to justify a riding lawn mower. But the school board can't divert the money because that would violate federal mandates and they'd lose the rest of the money. So they spend $1.35 on a small patch of grass. It looks great BTW.1 point

he's not very center. He may be coming across that way a little bit right now but if you look at any of his previous speeches or talks or anything he's fairly hard to the left. I need just tired a bunch of people who are very hard to the left including the president of the century club, he's massively in favor of repressing oil in Canada and adding new carbon taxes to industry which drives our economy down and energy production caps, he's already said that woke is part of our tradition and Canadians embrace it which they don't. The guy is definitely on the left of the spectrum by a fair and comfortable amount. He's no Centrist1 point

Drinking a soft drink with a paper straw makes any beverage taste like drinking cardboard. The longer the paper straw stays wet, the more it becomes useless. We need to do what Trump has done in America. Plastic straws are back in America. The little bit of plastic banning that Canada is doing has no real effect on the environment at all because most countries still use plenty of plastic on so many things. It is impossible to ban all plastics which is what crazy people like you want to do. We brought or bought in the use of plastic to save the trees. Now we are trying to stop the use of plastic, and start cutting down more trees for making more grocery paper bags. Dam politicians, always trying to mess with our heads. 🤮0 points
