Department Of Discussion and General Engagement. Dodge. We could get Jordan Peterson to run it as a special consultant. He could fire anyone who practices whataboutism or asks "why are we even talking about this?" Hmmm... interesting. CSIN just released a warning advising they'd picked up what could either be a strong earthquake or someone's head exploding violently due to cogitative dissonance, possibly involving a zucchini. Uhhhh... could someone check on robosmith?3 points

Green Party dropped from leaders' debates for not running enough candidates | CBC News Leaders' Debates Commission says party's decision to remove candidates for strategic reasons led to the move What a load of crap this is. Yes, they are dropping candidates in a number of areas in order to help the liberals win But even still they are still running more candidates than the block is. This was obviously a decision strictly to help the liberals solidify the left vote and make sure there were no distracting voices. They still need all the criteria I hope Elizabeth May realizes that the destruction of her party when they become utterly irrelevant might very well be the price they pay to buy carney his chance to rape Canada2 points

That would be you. You think 'red tories' support DEI hiring and promotion? You think they welcome disorder in the streets, zombie addicts shuffling around, vandalizing things, attacking people, defecating on the sidewalk, shooting up in doorways while the police and courts go hands off? You think they embrace mandatory antiracism courses? That they approve of the whole trans agenda, including with children? You think they're delighted with ever higher immigration without screening newcomers, and without trying to integrate them?2 points

Awwww little guy I know it hurts you to get your butt handed to you so often Try to cope a little harder though, you're embarrassing yourself That's how he prefers his government.2 points

Who said anything like that? 🙄 The point is that anything good he might be saying about the above is getting no traction because he's packaging it in low-brow Trump-style rhetoric. It serves no purpose other than riling up the base, but worse than that, it turns off the Red Tories that Poilievre needs to break out of rural and western Canada purgatory. As soon as he starts going off about "radical woke ideology", these folks stop taking him seriously and tune him out.2 points

Notwithstanding my infatuation, nay…. love, of mass murderers, the justice system needs plenty of improvements. Mass murderers out early walking the streets eating the children is not one of the issues though, as you’ve admitted since you couldn’t name a single case where this has happened.2 points

The Greens failed to meet the criteria to qualify. If they’d been let in the PPC should have been allowed too. I can’t see how this benefits Carney at all. The fewer the candidates, the more attention on the French lessons.2 points

All the challenges that I think some on the left are beginning to realize that if you go too far with some of this stuff you open the door to someone like trump coming in and ripping it all apart and the public backing it. If you want to build something you need to not be so crazy and you are far better off to control it yourself rather than wait for the government to hold your hand and wipe your nose. If trump's efforts get nothing more than that across the people it will be valuable. Yes, we know we know. You don't care about any vegetation in the world unless it's zucchini. This is the essence of small government. This is the heart of local politics. When I voted for Trump i was 1 of 152 million. When I voted for Abbott I was 1 of 8 million. When I voted for my Texas rep, I was one of 50,000. When I voted for myor of my town, I was 1 of 609. You have the most freedom and the biggest say in the smallest elections. I can go talk to my mayor and he will listen. That's how I got our little league baseball field fixed. Smaller is better for you. You have a bigger voice. With no department of education, you can go to the school board and tell them you want better online learning tools or better lunches or higher paid teachers and they can do something about it. As it stands right now, there are so many strings attached that these school boards can't change where the money goes. Our school had $1.35 million from the state and federal government for grass. They don't even have enough grass to justify a riding lawn mower. But the school board can't divert the money because that would violate federal mandates and they'd lose the rest of the money. So they spend $1.35 on a small patch of grass. It looks great BTW.1 point

1. "The young do know bullshit when they see it." And also - "Young voters say diversity is good" Therefore "Diversity is not bullshit" I'm just laying it out as a syllogism, Philosophy 101 style, for you to take down as you wish. 2. DEI doesn't require "less qualified" people to be hired, though. Here are some HR articles: https://www.hirediverse.ca/blog/what-is-dei "Diversity hiring doesn’t mean choosing candidates based on identity alone—it means ensuring the hiring process is free of biases that exclude qualified individuals. Historically, recruitment processes have favored certain groups due to factors like nepotism, systemic barriers, and unconscious bias." https://peoplethriver.com/what-are-the-principles-of-diversity-equity-and-inclusion/#:~:text=The principles of DEI are,ways%2C from recruitment to profitability. "Eliminating bias and discriminatory practices from the selection process can open up the recruitment process to a wider pool of highly qualified candidates and improve the overall quality of hires. It can also have a positive effect on how potential candidates view the company." If you think these are lies then why eliminate DEI at all, since HR will just lie and hire unqualified people anyway ? Or are we just going to NOT hire minorities in case they're unqualified ? I'm asking honestly here. In my career I have never met a bona fide "DEI hire" to my knowledge1 point

I have a grip on the reality that Trump is IGNORING the SCOTUS ruling, after throwing an innocent man protected from deportation by COURT ORDER, into an El Salvadoran gulag. Most people with a "grip" call that a Constitutional crisis. You OTOH, can't even specify with what you disagree. Do you have ANY understanding of what happened?1 point

This Ontario Red Tory is sick of McCarthy era red-baiting, calling people Marxists, when the two parties are ideologically similar... saying the Nazis were socialists etc. etc. Beyond the parallels to the new populism, it's just rude. And please .... please don't tell me that Trudeau calling the convoy leaders racist (in French) is the same thing. It's not. Go look up Pat King's hilarious Ching-Ching Asian impersonation video if you need a refresher. Cheers, Moonbox...1 point

Ok kids settle down, we're doing simple division today. Now if we have 120 apples and 5 kids, how many apples does each child get? Ok, now if there are 4 children how many apples does each child get? Which number is bigger? Now Dumbass, change apples to minutes and maybe, just maybe you'll see why you're wrong.1 point

In order to qualify for the only two federal debates, a party needs to meet two of three criteria: it must be running candidates in at least 90% of Canada’s 343 ridings 28 days before the 28 April general election, poll above 4% and have a sitting member of parliament. They did not qualify, so they do not debate. This isn't a new rule.1 point

Read the room. Does sharing policies and rhetoric style with Trump, as Canadians unify against who he is, what he's doing and what he stands for, seem like good strategy to you?? In your mind, nearly 2/3 of the electorate "loathe" the conservatives for no other reason than because they are "conservatives"?. It has nothing to do with their policies, their rhetoric, and how much energy they spend promoting the priorities of the dumbest parts of their base? I mean, if you know most of the electorate doesn't like what you're doing, why do you keep running it back down the middle?1 point

The notwithstanding clause is IN the Charter. If you don't accept it, then you don't respect the Charter. If he was going to ignore the SC he wouldn't need to use the notwithstanding clause. Doug Ford is the best example we've seen in years of a politician who stands for nothing, has accomplished nothing, has no vision, no ideas and no interest in doing anything. He exists to be premier. Now that he's premier, he has no further ambitions other than to continue. He's a weathervane. Whatever will get votes, he's for. This is why people call him a liberal.1 point

I don't think so. If you do, then you must agree with the changes in social attitude that find significantly more support with younger folks. Adding: a true community weighs the opinion from diverse sources, including the wisdom of age and the optimism of youth. That's the core of why 'diversity' is important - it's a natural way to mitigate one-sided opinions.1 point

It can only be one of three things 1. Her dad actually is her husband which is incest which is perverted and a crime 2. Fraud on a loan application which is a crime 3. She committed a crime by running for AG of New York when her primary residence is out of state thus violating Trump's civil rights which is a crime There's probably some RICO stuff in there too with Democrats funding a fraudulent candidate.1 point

You are going to obstinately insist that the ONLY definition of debate is that it is a formal one? Just another day with you being wrong about something on this forum. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/debate debate 2 of 2 verb debated; debating transitive verb 1 a : to argue about the subject was hotly debated b : to engage (an opponent) in debate a governor debating her challenger 2 : to turn over in one's mind : to think about (something, such as different options) in order to decide still debating what to do intransitive verb 1 : to participate in a debate the six primary candidates who debated last night 2 a : to contend in words b : to discuss a question by considering opposed arguments 3 obsolete : fight, contend1 point

Right wing suspicion, fear, loathing and now outright hatred for the media goes back decades. It's just blind moral panic - an exaggerated social fear about something usually fuelled by media ironically that all to often results in equally exaggerated responses from society. Everything from getting rid of things like a Fairness Doctrine to defunding public broadcasting to outright murdering journalists in some countries.1 point

She's a PPC candidate in an NDP riding and she's going to get like 1-2% of the vote, almost all of which would come at the CPC's expense. What's more likely: A) The government that will only be helped by her siphoning votes away from their main competitors froze her accounts for "political reasons" or 2) The candidate from the quack party is actually a quack. The years of Liberal reckless spending has compromised our ability to fight the tariff war. As this article correctly points out, Canada may face tax increases in order to deal with the tariff war and lay offs. "She said that having been overruled by Trudeau on keeping the federal deficit to $40.1 billion for the 2023-24 fiscal year – it came in at $61.9 billion, 54% above the government’s own target – Canada lacked the fiscal fire power to fight U.S. President Donald Trump’s 25% tariffs on Canada effectively." GOLDSTEIN: Reckless Liberal spending compromised our ability to fight tariff war Trudeau did this to Canada and now he walks away scott free with a big pension.1 point

We always knew that it was a kickback scheme. When you give a billion dollars to a country that's rife with corrupt politicians and corrupt bureaucrats it's no better than giving it to WE: a certain percentage of that money is GUARANTEED to find a way to come back to you or your crackhead, hooker-hungry son. Whether that's in the form of "good deals" that your personal businesses manage to make there, or money ends up in a Swiss bank account, it doesn't matter. Trudeau was always going to benefit one way or another. I have always suspected that Trudeau was using his tenure as PM to land some kind of a role in the UN or some other corrupt global agency. Maybe he sees himself as the future Grand Cyclops of the WEF or some such.1 point
