  1. Nice try. I think you know exactly what I mean so I'm not sparring with you. Freedom of expression doesn't force the object of that expression on others. Tolerance is extended out of respect and kindness. It should be accepted in the same spirit and with the knowledge that tolerance, by any definition, isn't indicative of eagerness to participate in the activity (or belief) being tolerated. Religious freedom of expression is a thing too but nativity scenes in the public square, after school bible study clubs, and secret baptisms conducted without parental consent might find you humming a different tune. I don't force my faith on others, in fact, I rarely even mention it. The fact that I don't know a single gay or trans person who thinks radical activism is beneficial to them or even tolerant of people who don't happen to share their views (or lifestyle) is enough for me to suggest you pushed this too hard, too far, and too fast. They would be the first to tell you that too. The tolerant people you now point and laugh at have ample cause to suck back and reload, and that's exactly what my (albeit few) acquaintances were fearful of. Bad tactical decision, you should have taken yes for an answer, done your own thing and minded your own damn business. Just like you expect Christians to do.

  2. Now what the stinking Hell does that have to do with the topic at hand? You're now just trying to deflect the topic because you can't stand on your non-existent principals.

  4. I think you underestimate the depth of his sense of entitlement. This is how liberals think. It's liberal elite even more so. He's going to be rich after this but then he'll have to spend his own money if he wants $1,000 to play dinners while he's flying somewhere. That's not okay. If he sticks it out he gets one more summer of traveling all over the world at the taxpayers expense eating the best food, staying in the best places, and trying to make contacts to make money when he gets done with politics. That multi-million dollar pension just isn't going to be enough you know

  5. What views exactly? We've only just met. How could you possibly know what my views are? In any case, you guys have clearly won the day. The rise of the right wing is on everywhere you look - even Russia has seen the light. The world is your's to lose. I sure hope I live long enough to see how that turns out.

  6. Huh...and you Libbies...and @Michael Hardner...claim you're not fascist in nature. This whole issue with Peterson erupted because he refused to call people by their "preferred" pronouns. He figured that was asinine...and so do I. In fact, the majority of Canadians are "uncomfortable" with all this gender-bending weirdness. https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/majority-of-canadians-uncomfortable-about-hormone-treatments-pronoun-and-sports-policies-for-trans-youth-poll-1.6797458 And why? Well Libbies...and @Michael Hardner...the answer is simple. Its down right unnatural. Thus the idea makes people...even in Canuckland..."uncomfortable". Jordan Peterson has the personal fortitude to stand on what he believes. I've watched many Peterson Youtubes and have read his 12 Rules book. Canada has lost a strong mind with very well developed leadership qualities...while you minority but excessively loud freaks pat yourselves on the backs. And you wonder why Conservatives despise you so much... As with the USA...we have told you over and over again...'You Libbies started this bullsh1t culture war, but we Conservatives will end it.' Your little fiefdom is crumbling as we speak/type. I hope you all thoroughly enjoy the consequences.

  7. Canadian MPs need to learn to speak up for themselves. Previous PMs have also overstayed their welcome - power is difficult to relinquish - but rarely as badly as this. In Britain, Australia or Ireland, Trudeau would be gone by now.

And I don't mean a thread about imaginary Russian collusion, imaginary Ukrainian collusion, an imaginary gun-free insurrection that almost overthrew the US gov't, an anonymous source that says that he said something, or an alleged rape from an unnamed year that sounds more like Shades of Grey episode 2 from season dumb5lut?

  13. More legislation passed is not necessarily a good thing. That often means more regulations, more red tape. Of course nobody would want to bring up border security under Biden. Or involvement in foreign wars. Or the 40 year highs in inflation levels. Kamala Harris stated she would not have done anything differently from Biden and that resulted in a Trump landslide.

  23. you were told that the US gained intel from it, but I think they already know how balloons work. Except maybe Biden. And OAC. And Kamala. And Omar. NVM, you're right: 40% of Americans learned something from that. This is got to be one of my favorite replies from him of all times China flies a balloon over the US, the US shoots it down, and he thinks we recovered Intel. They were surveilling the united states for god's sake, the united states already knows about the united states Does he really think that they opened up the balloon and there were intelligence experts there reviewing the footage and saying things like "Did you know we had tanks?" or "My God! There's a macdonalds on 4th and Elm? I had no idea,,,,, You get Intel when you look at footage about OTHER countries, not your own you twit!!!

  27. So the state deemed him guilty of "spreading online disinformation," he arrived unable to speak the language and without the relevant skills to find employment, and as a result of all that finds himself virtually homeless. Certainly has a familiar ring to it eh? Sounds like the sort of thing Jordan Peterson has been speaking against. Maybe this guy should have watched a few JP videos, heeded the warnings and stuck around to vote JT out in the next election lest we firmly entrench the same thing here in perpetuity. Sounds like he got a taste of what life in Canada would be like if JT gets re-elected.

  28. I read about that. It was a Mennonite family, that moved to Russia two years ago. Apparently they instantly regretted doing so, since, you know, they can't speak Russia, have no family there, have no cultural ties to the country, and never researched the policies of Russia. The Russian Government initially was more than happy to provide them with supplies, a hectare of land to build a home, etc for propaganda purposes. The man kept making YouTube videos. Then a few months after the move, on one of his videos, he complained about the move, stating he regretted it, and was frustrated about not finding proper accommodations for his large family (a wife and 6 children). Within days, Russian authorities came to his residence, and demanded he take the video down, under arrest. He did a follow up video, apologising to the Russian people, and stating that he was "no at all regretful to leave Canada." Last I heard him and his family were living in a one bedroom apartment.

  30. It is like decision tree. Make decision y and you go to the right and up. At the first fork is repeal the 2nd Amendment or not. There is a 0% chance of that happening so lets take choice B (not repeal) and then start from there. How to curtail these incidents without banning private gun ownership. You have to be a special kind of stupid to think that the 2nd Amendment will go away anytime soon. Finally, if someone is going to be violent they will find a way ( I know that you know this.. but for the audience). Knife, large object, vehicle, chemicals, etc... all inflict pain, suffering, or death on the victim. Can't ban all of these items.

  31. Reaganomics broke those rules. Over the past several decades the insanely rich just got insanely richer but life only got harder for the working and middle classes: longer working hours, disappearing pensions and benefit plans, precarious employment, overcrowded schools and hospitals, soaring university tuition, soaring household debt and on and on. A single blue collar worker could once buy a home, a car maybe even a cottage and support his entire family but that hasn’t been true since the 90s or 80s. All so that the 1% and corporations could have more wealth to move to their offshore accounts.

Look we have had 9 years of liberal/NDP rule that have brought us to this point in time....do you really think NOW is the time to take advice from them....Most of the left want to trade words and slogans with trump. knowing full well he does not respond to any of that very well , they are picking a fight we can not win....diplomacy and talking like adults is the rule of the day, for that you need leadership, not some yappy liberal like justin.... Canadians have short memories, but not this short....she may get her seat back....but run the liberal party....i don't think so....

  38. I know I have CdnFox on ignore but it's actually BECAUSE he has The ability to be one of the most substantive and analytical posters here. And often he doesn't do that and just engages in tiddly, Winks, verbal battles etc I say this because, none of us seem to have actually read her resignation letter. I went back through this thread, with a lot of shame, because I didn't either. Lo and behold, CDN Fox did read it and seems to be the only person on here. Who did. Kudos. Here it is "It has been the honour of my life to serve in government, working for Canada and Canadians. We have accomplished a lot together. On Friday, you told me you no longer want me to serve as your Finance Minister and offered me another position in the cabinet. Upon reflection, I have concluded that the only honest and viable path is for me to resign from the cabinet. To be effective, a Minister must speak on behalf of the Prime Minister and with his full confidence. In making your decision, you made clear that I no longer credibly enjoy that confidence and possess the authority that comes with it. For the past number of weeks, you and I have found ourselves at odds about the best path forward for Canada. Our country today faces a grave challenge. The incoming administration in the United States is pursuing a policy of aggressive economic nationalism, including a threat of 25 per cent tariffs. We need to take that threat extremely seriously. That means keeping our fiscal powder dry today, so we have the reserves we may need for a coming tariff war. That means eschewing costly political gimmicks, which we can ill afford and which make Canadians doubt that we recognize the gravity of the moment. That means pushing back against 'America First' economic nationalism with a determined effort to fight for capital and investment and the jobs they bring. That means working in good faith and humility with the premiers of the provinces and territories of our great and diverse country, and building a true Team Canada response. I know Canadians would recognize and respect such an approach. They know when we are working for them, and they equally know when we are focused on ourselves. Inevitably, our time in government will come to an end. But how we deal with the threat our country currently faces will define us for a generation, and perhaps longer. Canada will win if we are strong, smart, and united." ..... She's telling all Canadians that we have a dire threat coming up, and now is not the time for frivolous spending. Even calls out gimmicks, specifically referring to the GST break I think. We are going to have a Conservative government very soon. We have to try and get United to prepare for this fight, no matter who the government is. This is serious.

  39. But it is not a mental disorder. Transgenderism does not interfere with the functioning of the brain. Their brains work fine, they are just the opposite sex of the body. Male and female brains have differences. For example, I real long ago that there are more neuronal connections between the "emotion centres" and the "communication centres" in females than there are in males. So, this might be used to explain why men have such a hard time talking about their feelings. And during our evolution, we needed men to be fearless and tough, brave hunters, so this makes sense from an evolutionary standpoint. There's some really exciting science going on now - using AI to identify female and male brains: This model demonstrated superior performance compared with those in previous studies, in part because it used a deep neural network that analyzes dynamic MRI scans. This approach captures the intricate interplay among different brain regions. When the researchers tested the model on around 1,500 brain scans, it could almost always tell if the scan came from a woman or a man... The findings indicate that functional brain characteristics varying between sexes have significant behavioral implications. https://med.stanford.edu/news/all-news/2024/02/men-women-brain-organization-patterns.html This theory has been totally dismissed. There is zero evidence for it, despite its being studied. Zero, Nada, nilch. You can read about all the evidence showing it's wrong here: All the Evidence Against Transgender Social Contagion "Social contagion" is actually called a "zombie theory" - a scientific theory that has been disproved, attempts to prove it have failed, but some (usually with an agenda) continue to present it as a viable theory.

  41. Exaggerations? No, lies. Consider the issue of immigration. Trump has falsely claimed: Harris was appointed “border czar” – No, she was never in charge of border security. That Harris let in “more than 13,000 convicted illegal aliens" – No, this number represents people who entered over decades, including during Trump’s presidency. That 32,000 illegal aliens were “dropped” into Springfield, Ohio. No, they are here legally, and the number is closer to 12,000. And they weren’t “dropped” but got there on their own. That a gang from Venezuela had literally “taken over the town.” No, although some gang members had been arrested. That Harris had let “21 million aliens pour across into our country.” No, even the Republicans estimate those who evaded detection at closer to 2 million during the Biden administration. That foreign countries were “emptying their jails” to allow the criminals to migrate to the US. No, there is no evidence of this. That FEMA was diverting funds to illegal immigrants. No, not even close to the truth. These are facts. Why do you suppose Trump lied?

  42. Great post. It's too bad that there are plenty here who do not want to listen to common sense and logic. I have to assume and believe that many members here like what is happening in Canada today and are trolls for the globalists. It would appear as though most of our politicians and the left wing liberal MSM are under the control of the WEF Marxist globalists. Why do so many of those two mentioned above try and force Canadians to accept woke Marxist policies like gender and pronoun nonsense, as two examples? I know that Mikey likes it this way, right Mikey? Lucky for Mikey that he is not living in Trump MAGA country now. He will be crying like the little comrade baby that he is. We should all know by now that the WEF globalists are the enemy of we the people. They are trying to destroy as much freedom and rights of we the people as much as possible. WEF globalist scum like Larry Fink is a fink and also stinks. LOL.
