  3. A. 58% of the population doesn't believe Biden did anything illegal B. There is zero evidence that Biden did anything illegal C. There is no evidence that Joe Biden lied about being involved with Hunter's business activities. And indeed, the testimony so far is that he was not. Even when they dined together or Hunter made phone calls in the presence of business contacts, the sworn testimony is that they just made father/son small talk. There is literally email records where Hunter tells his associates that he can't influence what his father does, but whatever happens, they should pretend like the did influence it--because it's good for business. D. The $83K per month was business revenue, not a paycheck, and even if it weren't, your view of how amazing $83K per month is comically skewed. It's just not that much money. Not enough to incur risk or spawn an international conspiracy. Joe can make 10x that much with speaking and publishing. He doesn't need Hunter's relative pittance, nor would he risk that easy income for a relative pittance. E. You timeline and conspiracy theory are entirely bumfuzzled. Again, the entire western world wanted Shokin fired. We have sworn testimony that Burisma believed that Shokin was protecting them. We have people from the prosecutors record in Ukraine noting that Shokin actively sabotaged the UK case against Burisma to protect them. Literally the only person who says that Shokin wasn't crooked is Shokin--and you, apparently. F. What I think was actually going on is exactly what all the evidence shows was going on. -- Looking at evidence is how I reached the position, after all. By all appearances, Hunter derived significant business advantage from the expectation that he could influence his father. By all appearances, he didn't actually have any influence. By all appearances, Joe Biden is savvy enough to understand that his association is valuable to Hunter, and had no problem being visible (and audible) to do his son a favor--not a material favor, but the favor of visible association. That's not even unethical, let alone illegal. No harm, no foul.

  4. I think Trudeau will be ousted. It's not just the party numbers but that upwards of 75% polled think he needs to step down.

  5. No, there's not. One would have to be comically--and cosmically --stupid to think that the United States has conducted presidential elections for 250 years when really the vice president just gets to pick a winner. The party in power just gets to choose to stay in power, regardless of the votes? You think that's what the founding fathers wrote and intended? My God, that's shockingly dumb. Nobody actually thought that. Ever. It never was an actual legal theory. And Eastman admitted it. But once again, you're eager to be made a sucker and a fool by confessed crooks and liars.

So if i build an app that lets me set men as my preferred employee of choice and excludes women until i'm sure no men are available - is that ok now? I feel like woke has now come full circle.

  10. It doesn't even particularly matter whose "fault" it is. The very act of banning all books pre-2008 board-wide is insane, and somebody somewhere at the board thought it was a good idea. Yes let's let the dust settle. The fact that things like this occur in 2023 is concerning, and is a growing trend throughout society rather than an isolated incident. We need to reject the ideology and identity politics that makes these things occur. Combing through every book for the purposes of an "equity and diversity" audit per Directive 18 is insane. Of course they will likely fix this, because it is a stupid policy that parents, teachers, and students won't like.

  12. I’m sorry, if telling blatant lies and inviting a massive crowd to Washington and inciting them to violently riot to force Congress to overturn the results of a Presidential election is NOT impeachable, what is? Seems way more impeachable than getting head in the Oval Office.

  13. You live in the weirdest bubble, entirely detached from reality. Not only was there no "definitive proof" there was no evidence whatsoever. Nor is there any evidence that the Democrats have ever committed election fraud at scale. Sure, some random losers from either party occasionally, but there never been evidence of large-scale cheating from any party in modern times. The Republicans much prefer legalized voter suppression. If you want to fantasize about Trump's FBI lying about Hunter's laptop to help Joe Biden, you enjoy the ride. It's nonsense, but that doesn't seem to bother you. And no, one would have to be a fool to believe that an utterly massive conspiracy took place under the most intense scrutiny of any US election in history, and still was sooooooooo brilliant and airtight that nobody could detect the fraud.? Trump, the compulsive liar, told you that the only way he could lose was if someone cheated. And, despite being tremendously divisive, unpopular and unsuccessful, with poor approval ratings and trailing in the polls, that sounded reasonable to you. ? ^^ This is very interesting though. It sounds almost like you acknowledge that what Trump tried to pull off with the Eastman coup was illegal and immoral. And, one would assume, wholly disqualifying even for the most fervent Trumpistas. I mean, if you don't approve of people stealing elections, surely the one person (along with his cronies) who very clearly and with ample evidence tried to steal an election should be repulsive to you. Or perhaps like your allies here you simply don't care at all about frivolous concepts like democracy and the rule of law.

  18. Sorry but that's not true. And the entire fbi team expected her to be charged and believe she should be charged.... till a call came in after clinton ran across the tarmac to have a chat with the justice "about their grandkids". The team lead even fought against not charging her till basically told to shut up. She was guilty, The argument that the crime needs mens rea is laughable. And even if that's the case - charge her and let a judge sort it out, But - that didn't happen, And if she's guilty of the other crimes that she appears to be guilty of then that's the least of her crimes. Now - you can say that we can't say she was guilty without a trial. But then you have to say that about trump as well - and you don't So - it's pretty clear you're the kind of person who sticks their head in the sand and only hears what they want

  20. It's just that simple. If the libs had the skills to reverse the downward trend we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place. All they know how to do is spend money and it's not really a money problem. So they'll dink around and spend some cash and nothing will get better. And a year from now they'll be in the same place or worse and then it's REALLY too late for him to step down.

  21. The thing is this. Canada is short about 3-1/2 million homes. Nine out of ten young people cannot afford to buy a home because the cost of owning a home has doubled or tripled since Trudeau took over eight years ago. The situation is dire and the Liberals/NDP have no solution. Another two years of Liberal/NDP rule will mean that things just get progressively worse for millions of Canadians. They are not capable or willing to do anything to solve the crisis. They are like a natural disaster happening. They need to go NOW. If people think things will be rectified under the NDP/Liberal coalition in the next two years, they are only fooling themselves. Things need to turn around now so the millions of Canadians will have a chance.

  22. A simple truth missed by the 'victim' group advocates. Are you a very below average intelligence? Prepare to be made fun of and struggle in life. Are you a very above average intelligence? It's not much easier. Are you an ugly female? You will be discriminated against hard. A fat person? How about neuroatypical or neurodivergent? Try getting through life with serious dyslexia or asperger's - even if you are functional prepare for a world that doesn't understand you and treats you poorly. There's dozens of other reasons why people look down on or acted bigoted to individuals or why they will struggle hard in life to succeed and have good relationships. You can overcome it and move on - or you can pretend to be a victim and come up with excuses for your failures
    1 point
  23. I don't recall saying that. Oh - i see, as a left wing advocate you're using bigoted stereotypes of those of different opinions to attempt to dismiss the argument rather than address it. In fact - nobody really cares about those books being in libaries - they care about making sure they're age restricted so that an 8 year old doesn't actually read visual depictions of actual gay oral sex, like the book i posted a while back which was in elementary school libraries. And what did i say here? RIGHT after the part you quoted? "Moving them to an 'age appropriate' section is one thing" Sigh. Mike. If you have to lie to make your point... you probably don't have a very good point.

  26. Right. -- GDP growth was fantastic. Real median household incomes did not keep pace or see much positive growth. But we DID get a lot of cheap and relatively high quality consumer goods, which people quite like. I don't think that the problem is that global markets didn't work. The problem is that we allowed, through perverse incentives, most of the economic benefit of massive productivity gains and wealth gains to accrue to top few percent. It's become common to have CEOs earning 300x what their employees make. That should be a shocking number, but we've grown accustomed to it. Like everyone else, I'm a capitalist, but it's hard to rationalize that kind of wealth gap. It feels a lot more like a problem than a positive outcome. And to make it generational cements the gap. Though there's some irony in it, even Thomas Jefferson warned against an "artificial aristocracy" blessed by birth. In other words, we should probably have a massive estate tax. Let people make as much money as they want, but limit what can be left as inheritance.

  30. Military experts, well, Pugliese, form the Ottawa papers, used to be a good reporter until he started to spout opinion. He is not well liked in the military community, not for his reporting but for his opinions. He does not get interviews anymore so, he has become a hater in the opinion of military personnel. Esprit de Corps used to be a fantastic pro military magazine then Scot Taylor, the editor became a critic when he was not given access to military personnel and press. He recruited a disgraced military officer Michel Drapeau (who became a lawyer) and started to inundate the Military with freedom of information requests ($5 each request) and sell that information to the press. The officer corps has always been an old boys club. Having lived and worked in Ottawa and NDHQ, I could very much see that. I hate to say this but having been a CWO,/RSM there is also an old boys club in the CWO rank. I attended quite a few CWO/RSM meeting until I could not stand it any more. I sat through 3 monthly meetings where the main topic was what a CWO/RSM ring should look like LOL Anyway, if I read toy correctly, you agree with the ex Air Force officers comments. I agree with him as well.

  34. "Literally," anyone with the internet can see that you are lying. The summary of findings and her deposition are publicly available. Clinton wasn't charged because everyone in government was using unclassified email servers for government business. Including the Trump clan that made such a disingenuous fuss about Hillary.

  35. Living in the alt-right echo chamber has left you tragically misinformed. I guarantee that you can't post a poll that shows 60% of people think Biden has done anything illegal to be guilty of. And your assertions that he's "toast" are just childish. If unsupported accusations were as effective on Democrats and independents as they are on Republicans, then you might be right. But thankfully the bulk of voters here are still sane and rational and would actually require some evidence. Meanwhile, you "stand by your man" after the literally tried to end American democracy. Of course, why would a Canadian Trump fanboy care a whit about American democracy and the rights of the voting public?

  40. 1) Comey never 'lied' about anything to do with Hillary, at least not in favour of Trump. The FBI also gave immunity to her friends in exchange for nothing, let her get away with destroying subpoenaed evidence, and let her just say "I can't remember because I bumped my head a couple days ago" to literally every question that she was asked under oath. That's the second time in her life that she got temporary amnesia, and on both occasions she was really only affected on the day of her FBI interrogation. Who else could get away with that? It's bizarre. Her interrogations were never rescheduled. 2) That had absolutely nothing to do with it. Hillary lost because she ran her mouth. Voter apathy completely disappeared from the right side of the aisle when she said "basket of deplorables". She made voting for Trump go from being "a sign that you might be a vile racist - according to CNN" to being an act of defiance. Almost anyone chooses "act of defiance" on every occasion possible. It's in our DNA.

That certainty worked for Kennedy, Nixon and Reagan. As long as the American President is able to assure the Russians and the Chinese that crossing the line will result in the end of the world, we will continue to survive until the climate burns us all up. “Hey, don’t be so gloomy. In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had murder treachery and intrigue. They produced Michelangelo, DaVinci and the renaissance.
