so stop using plastic bags then you don't have any right to force others not to if others want to use plastic bags, that's their prerogative2 points

1. You must be in the cult to not see what he does. Calling electioneers and asking for 11,000 votes is without precedent. 2. Biden is a bad president but he wasn't handed the cards that Trump had. 3. Low morals, refusal to admit he's wrong, an insulting and arrogant person who didn't listen. His policies were poorly thought out and he was constantly in needless battles, including with his own team.2 points

Before Canadians start going bankrupt by the thousands, it’s time for Canada to end all carbon taxes, stop spending money funding endless war in Ukraine, and pull out of international agreements that are hemorrhaging more money from taxpayers and adding to both our debt and inflation. Turn off the shrill climate scare. Build the pipelines. We need more oil for energy security and the affordability of essentials like heating, transportation, and, manufacturing.1 point

Norway has a population of about 6 million people. Through its wealth fund, Norway has a collective wealth of about $1.3 trillion. https://www.institutionalinvestor.com/article/b1xdtrfjm5hgkg/Can-Norway-s-1-3-Trillion-Oil-Fund-Actually-Give-Up-Oil IOW, if an immigrant becomes Norwegian, or a foreigner marries a Norwegian, the foreigner receives about $200,000. ===== Norway is not part of the EU; Norway makes no contribution to the EU budget. Norway has its own currency. Alberta is part of Canada; contributes to Canada's equalization payments. Albertans assume any debt when others borrow.1 point

Mobilfunk: Stromsparmaßnahmen der Betreiber sorgen für Bandbreitenärger bei Kunden - Telekom - derStandard.at › Web Austria Cellphone companies (T-Mobile, A1 etc.) are shutting down part of their mobile internet services during night hours to save electricity. Since about two weeks now, the Russian natural gas supply for Austria (80% dependence on RU Gas) got reduced to about 40% of the agreed volume. This is enough to serve the industry and private households on a daily basis, however it is impossible now to completely fill up the natural gas storage facilities for the winter. This info from a customer of ours in Austria:1 point

Even with all the funding in world, mental illness issues are not going to be resolved overnight. Stricter background checks are not going to prevent anyone from acquiring a firearm if they're determined to get their hands on one. So what other alternatives are there to protect kids in school from mass shootings other than making a school's front door the front line of defense? What's more important.... children's safety or optics?1 point

We need a far far more robust system of accountability so we have the ability to audit, validate and verify the transactions of our governments and senior-most officials. What you're advising/advocating for is a lot more like faith. Hoping that swearing on a stack of Bibles will keep our governance on the straight and narrow is as outdated as it is naive.1 point

Up until recently, China imported all of the West's plastic. They have since refused to accept Plastic Imports so it's been sent to other South Asian countries, making the problem worse. Just because plastic is recyclable, doesn't mean it always get recycled. You have to have a robust collection program. Glass and Cardboard present a convenient alternative to a lot of the Single-Use plastic waste, that's much easier to recycle.1 point

Canadians are not paying 80% more for gas btw in Canadian dollars, the average price of gas in America right now is $1.62 litre it's $2.08 a litre in Ontario right now so that's only 33% more in Canada you have to consider however, that Texas is the biggest oil refining state on earth by far the massive refining capacity in Texas alone makes gas cheaper in America while Canada exports a lot of crude oil, Canada does not produce much gasoline in comparison there's crude oil and then there's gasoline if there is a bottleneck for gasoline in Canada, it's not the crude production it's simply that nobody in Canada will build a new oil refinery Canada has the crude, but can't make it into gas so the gas we are buying in Ontario is coming from Arabia the bottleneck is that it all goes through one refinery in NB1 point

Rights come with responsibilities, another thing lost on the Trump cult. Knowing when to STFU is not another characteristic. I has everything to do with Trump, it is all about him trying to game the electoral system and her being an accomplice.1 point

I thought this was already happening. Can they improve it? I believe a country like the U.S. would not be able to handle a sudden shut off of gun culture. It needs to be a gradual weaning, which may take a few generations. Starting with removing automatic guns and introducing background checks.1 point

I am one of the victims of the climate "crisis" and the highway robbery of carbon taxes since 2008. I was robbed of $2500 from 2008 to 2016 in the form of carbon taxes imposed by Premier Gordon Campbell and the BC Liberal government and saw no rebate. Quote How many times do alarmists have to fall for lie after lie … like Al Gore’s claim that the polar ice would melt by 2013; or Obama’s science advisor (John Holdren) said CO2 induced famines could kill as many as a billion people before 2020; or the father of global warming (James Hansen) said in 1986 that temperatures could rise by 7 degrees Fahrenheit by 2020 (but it only rose by 1 degree Fahrenheit); or Al Gore’s science advisor (Michael Oppenheimer) said in 1990 that by 1996 the Platte River of Nebraska would be dry and the Mexican police will round up illegal American migrants surging into Mexico seeking work; or Prince Charles said in 2009 that we have 50 days to save the planet from catastrophe; or the UN climate official (Noel Brown) said in 1989 that entire nations could be wiped off the face of the earth by rising sea levels if global warming is not reversed by the year 2000. There’s hundreds more of similar alarmist claims over the decades — but you get the idea — they’re all lies. Unquote Man-made climate change scam - Villages-News.com1 point

Biden brought that in to mirror Trudeau’s initiative. Canada is piloting the digital ID supported by the WEF. That’s why Trudeau will only suspend vax mandates. You’re still expected to show your vax pass on return to Canada or face quarantine.1 point

More bad news for the Disney corporation. Their latest woke movie did very poorly at the box office. Boo hoo!? Disney's Latest Woke Film 'Lightyear' Bombs In Box Office - And Liberals Are Clueless To The Reason (thepatriotjournal.com) I believe they edited some things out for certain parts of the world that would have offended audiences there. Let us hope that when the Republicans win both houses they will go after those democrats and do the bloody same thing to them that they did to many Republicans. Revenge time, baby. Create hearings galore against the democrats, and give those baboons a taste of their own lying and crooked medicine. Start charging a few of them with treason and send the cops to their homes at five in the morning and arrest a few of them. This bullshit must end. Enough already. ?1 point

Plastic can be recycled and is good for the petroleum industry, thus good for the economy. I will always use plastic for my household wastebaskets and dealing with a cat litter box. I’m getting older and will ensure this summer I acquire sufficient retail plastic or Glad Kitchen Catchers to last my remaining lifetime. Over 80% of plastic waste on the planet and in waterways is from THREE countries.1 point

Better background checks and controls might help, but let's not forget there are over 400 million privately owned firearms in circulation and a wide open southern border where a T-72 tank could be easily smuggled in. If I was a parent i'd like to see one school entrance for entering and exiting along with the hiring of armed ex-police or military to monitor the one entrance. Arming teachers might not be a good idea. Let's keep the number of guns in the schools to a minimum.1 point

I did post a link earlier about the CO2 emissions from the shipping industry vs those from ICE cars. Here's another one. The 16 biggest ships produce more pollution than all the cars in the World | LNG Transfer I'm wondering why they are focusing almost totally on ICE car owners and doing little or nothing about shipping. Maybe it's the usual thing, go after the low hanging fruit approach. Fighting alleged man made global warming might be done in a smarter way than just going after cars. If the 16 biggest ships in the world produce more emissions than ALL THE CARS IN THE WORLD, surely it would be smarter to refit a relative handful of ships for a fraction of the cost and go nuclear. You mean everyone in the whole world, right? Obviously since Canada would hardly put a dent in it. EV’s may not belch CO2, but the puke toxic metals. .... You want to reduce yer greenhouse gas emission? Never mind cars. Think cow farts, my friends. https://www.google.com/search?q=cows+methane+global+warming You beefeaters create a whole lotta bad gas. Ironically you could use cow farts to power combustion-engine vehicles. In doing so, convert the methane to less potent CO2 with a lower global warming potential, plus energy. It’s a good thing.1 point

New Mexico and I think one other state in the US have also said they are offering asylum to Canadians. New Mexico rep to introduce bill offering asylum to Canadian truckers protesting vaccine mandates (yahoo.com) Never thought I would see the day that Canadians were fleeing the country in droves, nor that I would even be considering it myself. ? There are websites now devoted to assisting Canadians get out of the country. And still we have ding-a-lings here saying "nothing is wrong here. Everything is great! Canada is healthier than ever, we're the greatest democracy ever and our institutions are 100% trustworthy!" ?1 point

You’re wrong and the nonsensical mandates persist. It’s harder for a Canadian to get back into Canada than for a Canadian to visit America. Canada’s government treats Canadians and Americans worse than America’s government treats Canadians and Americans. You still need to be vaccinated to enter Canada or face testing and quarantine. Albertan?? 35K posts must mean you have no life Michael LOL Anyway, Quebec means very little to most Canadians, exceptions are Quebecers themselves and politicians. Quebecers because they think of nothing else except themselves. Politicians because they have to suck up to Quebec because of some idiotic legislation has has outlived it's reasoning and usefulness. I was at Costco the other day and all the employees were wearing masks, all pulled below their noses, frequently pulling the mask down further to speak or breathe, putting them on and off. What's the point? When I see this, I get the image of adults sucking on pacifiers. Lasting psychological damage, indeed.0 points
