Thank You Tide Pods. https://nypost.com/2022/01/12/cnn-sees-ratings-dive-by-90-from-2021-coverage/?fbclid=IwAR36YT2pdv04kroOwBHCbzbBSxtxBqunTNid46CxaO9EE_i9KdZ6839XDHc CNN's viewership is down 83% week over week. They went months last year without having a single show with over 1M viewers. Meanwhile, Fox is crushing it and even Forbes has to admit it: https://www.forbes.com/sites/andymeek/2021/12/29/fox-news-in-2021-ratings-dominance-even-with-trump-gone-plus-fox-weather-and-gutfeld-crushes-late-night/?sh=7af5e8a7605c Tucker Carlson had the highest-rated program in cable news. Here's the craziest part: That's really bad news for Dems. Their muppets are getting exposure to some actual news, as are independents, which explains why Biden's poll numbers are tanking as well. He's down to 33%.2 points

They are the ones putting ideas in the back of your mind like equity is a good idea or "building back better" doesn't mean ripping down the infrastructure that built the most successful societies in the history of humanity. Or has you convinced "Moving Forward" is a dandy slogan without considering what you're leaving behind. You hear their voices you just don't bother paying attention to where they're coming from and think that qualifies you to mock those of us attentive and curious enough identify that omnipresent voice as "they." They is anybody registered as a member of the Club of Rome. It's the UN, the EU, the IMF, WHO, the Global Resetters, social media, corporate media, any corporate monopoly etc. And it's their mass formation psychosis suffering puppets that repeat their narrative like its fact. Which means it's kind of you.2 points

The irony of it all, CNN spent years demonizing Trump but the fact is they need him for ratings. They need a boogeyman. As far as bang for the buck goes, CNN is extremely poor value but even with a paltry amount of viewers they must at least serve the purpose of a tax write off for their parent company?2 points

Yet they and the rest of the bought media continue to pump out the message from entrenched leadership, as if this is what everybody actually wants. I suspect the silent majority is changing the channel...2 points

I don't get to see all of the programs on FOX because I'm normally at work during the week but in my humble opinion FOX is just so much better than the competition. Yes they do have a lot of opinion shows with a conservative slant but perhaps the biggest reason for that is because most of the competition is the polar opposite. And quite frankly, none of the host's on the competing shows come across as very intelligent. Think Don Lemon, Brian Stelter, Rachel Maddow. They remind of of AOC behind a mask. My favourite FOX shows, The Five, Watters World(last night was the last show, he's moving into the weekday 7pm slot I believe) , Tucker Carlson, Judge Jeanine, Hannity, Gutfeld. The only FOX personality I didn't care for was Chris Wallace(huge ego). Most of the host's on FOX are just really enjoyable to watch. I think Bret Baier is the best news anchor on tv. How can anyone watch MediaBuzz with Howard Kurtz and not admit this host is totally fair and balanced in his coverage of all stories? Was there anyone on CNN that was truly fair and balanced and not openly hostile to Republicans? Even their crime coverage is terrible, as in "SUV plows into parade killing some." They couldn't bring themselves to come out and talk about the driver who happened to be black. I think there may have been a time when CNN was pretty good many years ago but oh how they have gone steadily downhill since then.2 points

Fox is partisan, to be sure, but they’re the best news network in North America by far. And yes, it’s news, not like CNN and MSNBC. CTV, CBC, Global, NBC, NPR, etc are all pure garbage. The main difference is that all of those other networks rush out with a bunch of lies, like “COVID CAME FROM A BAT AND A PANGOLIN AND SAYING ANYTHING ELSE IS QANON GARBAGE! ANYONE WHO SAYS BSL4 NEEDS TO BE BANNED FROM SOCIETY!” That’s not news and it’s got nothing to do with democracy or science. It’s just the new normal under Trudeau and Biden.2 points

The idea that there's much reporting. It's almost entirely entertainment and opinion and has been all along. It's definitely easier in small short doses. The endless use of cliche references to lefties is probably their most annoying habit. Mark Levin reminds me of a right-wing Howard Beale.2 points

On January 7, a 57 year old man with terminal cardiac failure underwent a nine hour operation at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and received a cardiac transplant from a pig. Three innovations made this historic procedure possible: 1. Genetic modification. Ten genes were changed in the pig: three were removed that would have caused a rapid, antibody-mediated rejection of the foreign organ; one was removed that would have made the heart too big; and six human genes were added to reduce inflammation, rejection and blood coagulation. 2. A perfusion solution to keep the porcine heart in optimal condition between operations. Apparently, this product contains cocaine which caused a regulatory headache for the researchers. 3. A powerful drug, KPL-404, that suppresses the body’s immunological reaction (in particular, CD-40) to the foreign organ. The potential significance is enormous - many thousands die every year awaiting organ transplantation form human donors and demand will only increase - but there’s an army of potential problems ahead. One expert called the patient ‘courageous’ which is not something you want to hear. On the medical side, rejection and infection are the two big immediate dangers. Rejection comes in three basic types - hyperacute, acute and chronic. The hyperacute stage seems to have been successfully navigated but the body has a myriad of responses to foreign antigens that are not fully understood. An infection is made more likely because of the immunosuppressive medication the patient is on. This could be any extrinsic infectious agent or might have travelled in the transplanted organ itself. Longer term, one has to wonder how a heart from a quadruped will perform pumping blood all the way up to the head in a biped. Not a major worry right now. There are ethical issues. If the patient dies in the next few weeks the decision to go ahead will be questioned; this is an experimental treatment and I’d say the surgical team are not getting much sleep at the moment. Some people may have concerns about any animal transplants to humans. There are also those may be put off specifically by a pig donor for religious reasons. Dr. Mohiuddin addressed this issue directly. The patient was denied a human transplant partly because of his poor compliance with treatment recommendations in the past, including management of hypertension. One aspect of the story dominating coverage at the moment is that the patient did time for a serious assault and the family of the victim are asking why a person guilty of a serious felony deserves such expensive care. Doctors would say they treat anybody regardless of their past. https://www.dicardiology.com/videos/video-details-first-pig-heart-transplant-surgery-human1 point

I'm not surprised you don't know. No I'm not being facetious at all. There'd be no point. I'd be far better off if you investigated this on your own.1 point

Fox is mainly a pushback on MSM disinformation. “Rittenhouse is racist, Sandman is a racist, walls are racist, math is racist, bridges are racist, being mad because your daughter was raped by a criminal who was protected by the school board is racist, etc. CNN and CBC are pure shit and that’s why they’re going down.1 point

I could probably find you something that made a pretty good, fact-sourced case explaining how this - what you call a "vaccine" - is experimental but you'd rush to your leftist google to find some leftist "fact checker" who had something nasty to say about the source. Then - all dripping with smug - you'd show me the link like you'd dismissed anything that could possibly be in it - including links to sites you might link to yourself if your leftist authorities authorized it.1 point

Most if not all big media corps are horizontally integrated into even bigger corporate conglomerations who own them for various strategic and perhaps even tactical purposes. Public broadcasting is the only viable alternative to that and the only way to ensure public broadcasters aren't integrated into the party/government that controls the broadcaster is...wait for it. Outlawing in-camera lobbying of public officials on public business.1 point
-
This is one of the main reasons I say we should be outlawing in-camera lobbying of public officials - bypass the media altogether and keep power in check more directly ourselves.1 point

Doesn't seem like it but since when did two wrongs start making a right and why can't conservatives rise above this base instinct to act no better than the competition? I thought you guys prided yourselves on always being the adults in the room.1 point

CNN is the flagship for media doom and gloomers to follow. At least Fox News has the occasional feel-good story in addition to broader coverage than all things Covid-19, and the biased lies of CRT. I am sick of hearing nothing but that crap. I would expect most reasonable people want to turn it off.1 point

Proof mainstream media is used for thought control. I would not consider CBC or CTV any better than CNN. Yesterday, Jan 15th, CNN reported the hostage-taking in a Texas synagogue and gave the details of the reason why. Yet the same day, CBC and CTV would not give the details or reason why. It appears Canadians are to a significant extent being kept in the dark about certain things in the world. If you want more information about the hostage-taking, the CBC referred viewers to their CBC news website instead. Even today, after the incident is over, CTV did not report the reason for the hostage-taking. Is this more proof that Canadian mainstream media is being used for thought control?1 point

I was given Levin's latest book for Christmas. It reads the way he talks. But I'd disagree. FOX presents news. Brett Baier is great for raw news. My wife loves Carlson and I'm a fan of Ingram. CNN and MSNBC are bereft of news. They're now 100% propaganda. In Canada the only real news left is The National Post.1 point

...and isn't it awesome that Joe...Joe frickin' Rogan...has more viewers than all the major networks combined in his general chosen timeslot? I think so...fuck CNN...CBC...Fox...etc.1 point

As Mark Levin has said, he has one of those voices the come at you late at night over the AM band of your car radio. The best part is...he doesn't care. He's like Joe Rogan and owes little to anyone.1 point

Levin us unwatchable. It’s more hubris than anything else. For all I know he may know what he’s talking about, but I’d never listen long enough to find out. Brett Baier is the news anchor. Best in NA. The Five is a good show, but Gutfeld is getting a bit angry and clownish lately. Jesse Watters is always good, and Hannity has his moments as well. He was by far the most informed TV personality regarding collusion. Tucker is hit and miss, but usually good. I watch about 30-45 mins/day of Fox. Canadian news makes me want to throw up.1 point
-
Its interesting. I watch CNN occasionally for the same reason. To hear what the other side thinks. I can generally get through 10 minutes before I have to change the channel. Question: what do you find false about the FOX reporting?1 point
-
I know I watch more Fox News and more Tucker, Hannity and Ingraham than I used to. Notwithstanding Chris Wallace, to call Fox News news in any old-school journalistic sense is ridiculous, it's like taking Mad Magazine seriously. Too many people do though and there is little doubt Fox also has a lot of influence over far too many powerful politicians. Besides the sheer spectacle I like to keep a finger on the pulse of what passes now for mainstream right-wing conservative intelligentsia - forewarned is forearmed and because its blindingly obvious who'll be driving America beyond 2022 I have to wonder how many others do as well. I suspect a good portion of Fox's ratings can be attributed to that alone.1 point

I often wonder if it's something as simple as one's attitude towards the health system that makes the difference. I do have to say I know more people who have negative things to say about certain doctors, hospitals and the system in general but my own experiences, which were life-threatening, were a lot more positive. Maybe I'm just lucky - and I'm definitely thankful.1 point

You missed the part about "More people died of covid under Biden than Trump." Don't you remember how the leftards were screeching that Trump was doing everything wrong, and Biden could fix everything as soon as he got into the whitehouse? The leftards were wrong again but at least they're consistent. Biden inherited Trump's vaccines and he doesn't have an actual covid achievement under his belt yet, aside from unconstitutional vaccine mandates and giving people enough money that they can opt to not get jobs. Only the people who worked through the first year of covid and then didn't get vaxed are left out of the covid gravy train.1 point

What that fascist Australian dictating premier is doing in Australia is committing crimes against humanity. This fascist dictator needs to be arrested, charged and put in the gulag for a very very long time. This fascist is truly an enemy of his own people. This fascist is all in for the money and power that this covid scamdemic has been handed to him on a silver globalist big pharma vaccine platter. There should never be any laws or restrictions against anyone who refuses to be jabbed. Only fascist like yourself would believe in this kind of crime against humanity. I despise fascists like you because you truly are a danger to rights and freedoms and choice. Maybe what should happen next to those vaccinated people whom we all now know that they are covid spreaders also just like they say non vaccinated people are and they should all be denied medical services in hospitals. Let's see how they like that? No doubt you would be the first to start crying like a baby and saying you cannot do that to me. I have rights you know. Ha-ha. Those people that are now vaccinated should be forced to stay at home so they cannot become super spreaders of this covid virus. Hey, we need to start somewhere to try and end this covid virus, eh? Chuckle-chuckle.1 point

I am just wondering as to what the next new name will be for the next false covid variant scamdemic virus that should be coming along very soon? And our phony politicians, and the lying media, and of course those big pharma globalist liars no doubt have a name picked out already and preparing it for it's debut. And of course the zombie peasants out there will be told that they need to take another booster jab for this new covid scamdemic virus variant so they won't die. They will lineup for hours for their next vaccine booster fix, and still wearing their face diaper masks. Those buffoons have become nothing more than a bunch of useful idiots for the globalist big pharma establishment and their political masters. Arse holes. ?1 point

What is "yesterday"? The news of the decision came on CNN at 4pm 13.01. It was reported in the international and Canadian news sources late at night (Global: 9pm EST, BBC: 11 pm EST). All main world news services carried it this morning in top stories (CNN, ABC, Bloomberg, BBC, Al Jazeera...). Except you know which "service" that stashed it at the bottom of a faraway section where few would be looking for it. Is it information, or creative manipulation? Feel free to make a guess. I have my conclusion though. CBC World section. Is it a world news or not? If it is a world news why couldn't it be found in the world news section?1 point

It's called and due to the multiculturalism and diversity Marxist programs and agendas that is causing the problem mentioned above. Canada never had these many kinds of shootings and killings on the streets going on until we changed our immigration policy of favoring more non-white immigration than white immigration. All we are doing thanks to this massive third world immigration policy is importing more trouble makers. There lies the problem which no politician dares to mention. Why? Because our politicians already know that they are the real problem. Canada must implement a moratorium on all immigration for at least seven years or more until things start to settle down. Toronto was once known for being good, but now, Toronto is now known for being bad. Massive third world immigration has been a big factor in all of these shootings and killing crimes that have turned Toronto into a bad city to want to live in. My opinion of course. ?1 point

It will never be possible to prove definitively that this Covid strain originated in nature nor in the lab. In the meantime, China is a totalitarian dictatorship that will never let enough evidence of any coverup or conspiracy get out. Even with the Soviet Union dissolved for thirty years now, so many mysteries remain unsolved. They will remain unsolved.1 point

How could USA sue China for Covid, when China successfully kept Covid contained for three months before it spread worldwide, and it was the USA and western countries that reacted wonky and never had it under control for even an hour once it reached their shores? If anything, it should be the other way around: A country that successfully and repeatedly contained and controlled the spread of infection should sue countries that at first denied Covid, then did not trace or test properly, did not shut down international or domestic travel effectively, could not get their own citizens to vaccinate or mask up, and ended up costing the originating country more economically as an industrial supplier than the consumer countries that still fail to get the virus under control with their many but clearly ineffective policies. If a similar virus emerged in USA or a western country, it would reach China far earlier than the three months it took the virus to get out from China.1 point

Watched a documentary on aboriginal gangs in Winnipeg that have similar stats on killing and shootings, They " guys making the documentary" blame poverty, no education, but the gang members quote a different story access to quick money and a lot of it drugs, booze, being above the law, doing what ever they wanted to do, a sense of belonging to something....and not willing to work and scratch for a living... It's about choices, And why do Canadians think all of this is our fault somehow we have failed this group, and we should shed tears for them, look at how they represent the majority in jails , or the most children in child services.1 point

These numbers are similar to something I did a couple of years ago in Ottawa when I looked up each of the homicides and found that virtually everyone involved was Somalian or Arabic. There is a problem within certain immigrant communities which the government and media refuse to even admit much less confront. Canadas gun violence problem is mostly an immigrant/ethnic, aborigine problem. And until that is admitted and confronted it's not going to get any better.1 point

Dante was killed as the victim of a stray bullet in a street gang shootout. Most of these case start with some race wanting to shoot another member of the same race for reasons having nothing to do with race. How are you finding racism in that?1 point
