This transgender nonsense was not pushed around and flaunted back in Harpers time like it is today. In Harpers day it was still pretty much left in the closet. I never heard of trans way back when. It was only under the years of the gay loving Turdeau that helped bring about all of this transgender nonsense and was promoted and flaunted by that pathetic mentally ill Turd. It was like father and son duo who both developed this mentally ill lieberal disease. I only started to learn about this sick and pathetic trans fetish disease in the past couple of years. I did not ever have to put up with sick trans perverted men, way back when, who could not compete with real men, so they decided, for convenience sake, to become a woman so that they can compete with women and win. Our society is becoming full of these girlie trans men who can now enter women's locker change rooms so they can see and watch girls undress. What a bunch of trans scumbags. Just my opinion of course. 😇2 points

"A man who spent 43 years in prison before his conviction was overturned now faces deportation PHILADELPHIA (AP) — After waiting more than four decades to clear his name in a friend’s 1980 killing, Subramanyam Vedam was set to walk free from a Pennsylvania prison this month. Vedam and Thomas Kinser were the 19-year-old children of Penn State University faculty. Vedam was the last person seen with Kinser and was twice convicted of killing him, despite a lack of witnesses or motive. In August, a judge threw out the conviction after Vedam's lawyers found new ballistics evidence that prosecutors had never disclosed. As his sister prepared to bring him home on Oct. 3, the thin, white-haired Vedam was instead taken into federal custody over a 1999 deportation order. The 64-year-old, who legally came to the U.S. from India when he was 9 months old, now faces another daunting legal fight. Amid the Trump Administration's focus on mass deportation, Vedam's lawyers must persuade an immigration court that a 1980s drug conviction should be outweighed by the years he wrongly spent in prison. For a time, immigration law allowed people who had reformed their lives to seek such waivers. Vedam never pursued it then because of the murder conviction. " A man who spent 43 years in prison before his conviction was overturned now faces deportation Here is a guy who legally came to the U.S. when he was 9 months old, was wrongly convicted and spent his life 43 years in prison. And now the administration arrested him and locked him up again and is deporting him. They have absolutely no sense of justice, compassion or understanding. He should be given 20 million dollars in compensation and treated with the utmost dignity and respect after all the injustice done against him. I understand there are some brainless MAGA people on here who will support the admin no matter what the case is, but they are not human and have no humanity.1 point

You should be concerned and upset with girlie men wanting to play in women's sports. If those girlie men can't compete with real men, than they should just go find something else to do. Like sewing or cooking as examples. LOL.1 point

Boys... https://www.climatedepot.com/2025/04/16/why-some-of-the-worlds-top-scientists-are-starting-to-push-back-on-climate-alarmism/ https://yearofinvention.com/blog/top-10-scientists-who-challenge-climate-change/ So no @Hodad, every climate scientist in the world does not buy what you're trying to sell. And yes @robosmith, I know about Roger Revelle and how Gore threw him under a bus...after his death like the gutless dweeb he is. You destructive zombies have lost this issue...just like you lose every issue...as time proves the rational thinkers correct... Over and over again.1 point

It's great that you trust Bill Gates more than every climate scientist on the planet, but what you're unlikely to understand is that he's re-messaging specifically for people like you. For people who can't grasp nuance. Fools who thinks that anyone has been saying "Aaaaaah, we all gonna die." No, we're not all going to die, but climate change is, as established fact, happening, and it will cause enormous human suffering. That's your straw man. And he's lowering the bar to the lowest common denominator specifically to eliminate your foolish noise from the conversation. Shifting the conversation toward mitigating human suffering is his concession that yes, it's still happening, but since you people can't get your shit together to avoid climate change, we better start trying to help the people whose lives and livelihoods will be destroyed by it.1 point

This is cute. Libbies warping reality again. As time passes...the truth of matters always comes to light. For instance, yesterday Bill Gates finally came clean on the dreaded climate change chickenshit. Libbies...if you have to lie in order to make an argument, perhaps you should not make that argument?1 point

The more interesting question is why do you believe Hamas? Hamas routinely shot rockets in Israel. Hamas used water pipes installed to help Palestinians get water to make rockets. Hamas attacked Israel without provocation. Hamas hid weapons under hospitals, schools and homes. Hamas turned captured Jews into slaves. Hamas bragged on the phone how many Jews they killed. While Israel had to build bunkers and advanced rocket interception systems to protect their people. Israel allows people of any race, religion or sex to serve in their government in any and all positions. Israel never put weapons near schools, churches, homes, hospital, or civilians. Israel never executed their own citizens in the street to make an example out of them. Why do you choose Hamas?1 point

The duty of care is not a soap box topic. Teachers have a professional obligation to protect students from homophopia. Letting their students who happen to be part of the LGBTQ community know that the school supports their rights, promotes an enviroment that aids learning. If this parent has an issue regarding the homosexuality, she should be directing her complaint to God. Your gender or sexual orientation was God's choice.1 point

I'm going to set aside your specious arguments and shitty links, because you're not yet grasping the basic logic problem. I explained very clearly how participation rates are vastly different than consumption rates, and more different still than net consumption rates. This should be very obvious with even the tiniest bit of critical thinking, but you get one more remedial example. Participation rate is the breadth of use, not the depth. Imagine you work at a college and run an athletic department dining program. Looking at the data, 50% of male athletes come to the cafeteria at least once a week. 60% of the female athletes. Would it be reasonable to conclude that you are spending more to feed the female athletes than the male athletes? Of course not. That would be stupid in several ways. Participation is not the same as consumption. Yet that's the logical leap you are trying to make from this report--and are trying to double down on. Stop doing it. You just look foolish. Take in the new information and move on.1 point

You don't appear to understand what he's saying, if you even read it... He said that while climate change is 'grave' the strategies and monies should be more allocated to where climate change is having the greatest impacts... food, shelter, and disease. That to your comment 'makes peoples lives better'.1 point

Canadians will vote the Libs in again - majority or minority gov't, it won't matter. A slim majority of Canadian voters will not learn until their children are in bread lines, dying in hospital hallways or too broke and jobless to survive on their own. We will be Venezuela. I'm kind of with you - if that's what it's going to take, so be it. But voting PPC or NDP is nothing but a vote for the Liberals. Especially if you vote NDP, they're just Libs in disguise. They will support anything and everything Libs do to us in exchange for scraps. They have no long-term vision for Canada other than turning it into a total welfare state. Too many Canadians think socialism, the little sister of communism, is totally gonna work this time. 🙄1 point

And that is a lie: Newsweek: The issue is a $150.7 billion one, shared between federal and state governments, and that's just one year. Your study says they bring in less than $100B in taxes. Nice try though. And? The lie the left tells us is that they are a net benefit and that they take less than citizens. But that cant be possible if they accept benefits at a much much higher rate. It is a natural and accurate assumption that if they are getting benefits, they likely are untaxed. Then why are they getting them? HHS: Illegals Convicted of Sex Crimes, Attempted Murder Receive Over $230K in Taxpayer-Funded Healthcare Benefits NyPost: A 1996 law prevented migrants from getting welfare — it’s been ignored for 30 years Townhall: Scott Jennings Takes a Victory Lap on Illegal Immigrants Receiving Medicaid My article, with actual data disproves your speculation.1 point

Wow, this is a pretty shoddy report, but the bigger problem is OP trying to draw from it a conclusion that does not logically follow. That, and eschewing the extensive academic literature on the subject in favor of slurping down a cocktail of confirmation bias and virulent racism. "The Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) is an American anti-immigration[3][4][5][6][7] think tank. It favors far lower immigration numbers and produces analyses to further those views. The CIS was founded by historian Otis L. Graham alongside eugenicist and white nationalist John Tanton in 1985 as a spin-off of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR). It is one of a number of anti-immigration organizations founded by Tanton, along with FAIR and NumbersUSA. CIS has been involved in the creation of Project 2025."1 point

Because just about everything caught here is shipped out, a lot of it to China. Yes there are. I know kids who are making a grand a day out fishing. The days are a lot fewer and farther between though than they used to be. There's also more boats on the bottom or rotting on beaches hereabouts than are out fishing. Good thing I don't have to go catch mine anymore...I know a guy or two.1 point

TV Commercial 30 year old skipping down the street I remember fish.... I ask every new SaveOn manager if they know where the highway goes to. Prince Rupert? Yeah, Canada's 2nd biggest seaport. Why does your store only sell frozen Chinese sewer fish? The opportunities are still there. My kid worked her way to almost triple her income changing jobs over 2 years. And just like then jobs are still not what ya know, but who ya know.1 point

They're more fun to work in as well. I'm fortunate that I'm employed in tourism with one of the highest paying and satisfying jobs you can get on the marine side of things. I've had more than a couple deckhands and co-workers who've moved on to even more lucrative and full time things like the coast guard or the towing industry. Living the dream eh? I do have to say the deckhands I have now are a lot better looking and smelling than what I was used to as a fisherman.1 point

Trump is a recidivist criminal who has never shown respect for the rule of law. He should have been prosecuted promptly for the Jan 6 riot and the grotesque corruption in Georgia where he asked for votes to be found. Now America is paying the price as he goes after everybody who tried to hold him to account and demands bribes from corporations and universities. If you can’t see the difference I can’t help you.1 point

As opposed to most Canadian obvious financial biases??? LOL Again, his are in a "blind trust" are most Canadians in there? What are most Canadians mutual funds invested in? What is PP's general investment portfolio in???? Probably the same ads Carneys. A person invests in what makes them money...regardless of the locality is sits in.....you included LOL1 point

Well ford did accomplish something pissing off trump was that the objective, ask yourself will pissing off trump get us any closer to getting tariffs removed...Pissing him off is not the right way to handle trump....i'm not a carney fan but i think he was on the right track, by stroking trumps ego....he does not respond to anything else...so Carney is swallowing his pride and sucking up, in exchange he'll get a deal.... EBY is a twit....I would not be surprised if carney tells them both to knock it off, every day we pay out tax dollars to fund these industries that are effected, why would you poke the bear to gain political points ? really Lumber is a major industry every where...here in NB it runs the province...and the feds are giving funding to these industries now...why risk having more tariffs added....it does not sound like a good strategy...1 point

If we're to venture into space it'll be via download to a robot body, ideally into a swarm of synchronized robots. That would be really resilient not to mention offer a pretty cool perspective on things. But seriously if a technological breakthrough suddenly turned human beings into a space-faring species we'd probably behave like the proverbial invasive monsters from outer space.1 point
